Ash and Dawn slowly woke up, and looked to see themselves in Cynthia's home.
"What happened?" asked Dawn.
"Last thing I remember, was... Cynthia!" said Ash.
Dawn then remembered as well, and the two heard Cynthia coming down.
"Ash, Dawn, are you too okay?" asked the Sinnoh Champion, "I heard my name."
Ash, Dawn, Pikachu and Piplup all turned to see Cynthia, and their eyes practically shot out of their heads, as they saw Cynthia!
"What's wrong?" asked Cynthia.
"Um, Cynthia," said Dawn, "Don't freak out when we show you this."
"What do you mean?"
"Well," said Ash, pulling Cynthia to a nearby mirror. There, Cynthia looked at herself, and went, "WOAH!"
Grabbing her ears, she said, "Well, what do you know? Pikachu ears. That is strange."
"Wait," said Ash, "Um, there's something we need to show you."
Dawn and Ash pulled up the news, talking about the recent attacks, and Cynthia asked, "Um, what are you saying exactly?"
A picture of the Were-Pikachu appeared, and Ash said, "THAT, is you!"
"What?" asked Cynthia, "You think that I'm... because of these?"
"You did also transform before us last night," said Dawn.
"I'm sure this is all just a prank," said Cynthia, "Trust me, nothing is wrong."
"Wait," said Ash, "Where's the book we found the history of the Were-Pikachu in?"
They pulled out the book, and looked at a section.
"The Were-Pikachu lineage exists in a single lineage, and starts with a woman known as... Cogita."
Cynthia then stopped, and looked at her family tree, and the images. There, at the very beginning, was Cogiata.
Cynthia looked at the two trainers, the Pokémon, and then her ears, saying, "Oh... dear."
They spent the whole day going about, seeing if there was a way to reverse it.
"Ugh, weaknesses, mating, ew, strange phenomenons, ugh, USELESS!" said Ash, "nothing in this book is helping us cure her!"
"There has to be something!" said Dawn.
"Maybe the ruins can help?" asked Cynthia.
"Yeah!" said Ash.
"But, how are we gonna hide her ears?" asked Dawn, "They just stick out of her hair!"
"Piplup."
"This is a bit much, don't you think?" asked Cynthia, wearing a winter hat with ear flaps.
"Didn't have much time," said Ash, "Besides, it was the only one you had."
The trio headed up to the ruins, and found the glyphs.
"Here," said Ash, "There's some writing. But, I can't translate it."
Cynthia looked at it, and said, "'To those seaking wisdom, the Gift of a Pikachu will be placed upon the ancestors of the original Were-Pikachu, for all eternity, until death.'"
"No!" said Ash, "But, what about the ears!? Is it a sign that it could be permanent!?"
"Maybe it will be fine next morning when she changes back into a human?" asked Dawn.
Just then, a shock was heard, as Cynthia was electrocuted by nibbling on her own Rotom Phone. She looked at her phone, throwing it away, saying, "Oh it's hopeless! I've already been under the moon multiple times, and it's just gotten worse each night! Oh, Ash, Dawn, I DON'T WANNA BE A GIANT PIKACHU!"
Ash and Dawn held Cynthia, as she sobbed a bit, and Ash said, "It's okay. Here, blow."
"Oh, Cynthia, it's okay."
Everyone stopped, and looked at Pikachu, who looked at them.
"What?"
"Pikachu," asked Ash, "did you just...?"
"Just what?"
"Pikachu," said Dawn, "You're talking!"
"Pip Piplup!"
"I am?"
"Yes you are!" said Cynthia, "And, you kind of sound like me."
Pikachu then noticed a picture of a human being shocked by a Pikachu.
"Look!" said Pikachu, getting down, and holding Cynthia's Rotom Phone up for light.
"What's it say?" asked Ash.
Cynthia looked at it, and said, "I... I can't read it! I don't remember the translations anymore!"
"I can read it," said Pikachu, "'If an ancestor of the Were-Pikachu doesn't transform for the first time by age 18, a jolt of electricity in any point in the host's life will trigger the change. However, sometimes will cause a few things to change between human and Pokémon. It is unknown to why this happens.' Well, that explains it. I guess, we switched intelligence Cynthia."
"Pika?" asked Cynthia.
Cynthia covered her mouth, and opened it up, letting out a "Chaaaa!"
"Oh no!" said Dawn, "The sun's going down! Who knows how long Cynthia has before she's a full on Pikachu!"
"Pika Pi!" said Cynthia, "Pikachu Pi, Pika Pika, Pika! Pikachu Pikachu!"
"Come on!" said Ash, "We gotta get out of here!"
"Don't worry Cynthia," said Pikachu, "We'll get you out of here! And find a way to cure you!"
They ran out, with Cynthia letting out bursts of Pikachu noises. Unknown, they were spotted by a certain team.
