"WHAT IN THE THREE WORLDS WE KNOW OF ARE YOU WEARING?!" Oum Boonchuy screamed an hour later as she covered Ami's eyes.

It was early enough for the beach to not be packed, but also busy enough for Oum to have been grateful they'd left earlier; they'd managed to snag a nice spot: A few steps away from the water, under a tree and not too far from the snack bar.

The baby halfling, eager to have fun, pried her grandma's hands off her and cooed as she held her Sprig and Maddie toys close.

"Grandma and ba pretty!" Ami beamed.

"Awww, you little sweet-talker!" Eda cooed as she knelt down and nuzzled Ami's nose, only for Oum to throw a towl on her and pull Ami away.

"Put something ELSE on, please!" The Thai woman begged.

"…What's wrong with this?" Eda asked. "Sides, you ain't exactly covering up."

Oum wore a simple blue bikini and had dressed Ami in a sunhat with a red and blue swimsuit with a blue floaty. Eda's choice of attire on the other hand, was…risqué. To best describe it: It covered what needed to be, but little else.

"Its indecent!" Oum gritted. "You want Ami to think its okay to dress like that?!"

"This is the first time in years that I've been able to go to a beach without Raine, Ollie, King or Luz scare off the gawkers and by Titan, I am going to enjoy myself!" Eda explained.

"Well if you dressed like that, its no wonder Olivier was so protective!" Oum snapped, then took a few breathes. "Sorry, Sorry. This is supposed to be a fun day for Ami. I'll….handle it."

"If the gawkers worry ya that much, use this." Eda said, shiftibg through her hair and oulling out her hook hand…which she promptly put back when Ami reached for it. "Nope! Sorry kiddo; not until you're six!"

Oum was grateful for that at least. Chuckling as Ami pouted before she began crawling to the water, only to be pulled back by Eda.

"Slow down there, kiddo! Wait and see if its safe. Like…two idiots going in first."

"…Eda, this is earth." Oum reminded the witch. "The water's not boiling."

"Yet, according to the radio." Eda smirked, but then she turned serious. "…And you're sure this is okay? No sharks? No jellyfish?"

"Not here. And there are lifeguards." Oum assured her, then became concerned. "Did…the Isles…?"

"Sadly, yeah." Eda sighed. "We could tan and build sandcastles all we wanted, but if we wanted to actually swim? We had to wait for very specific times for the water to be tolerable…like your hot tubs tolerable. And if you strayed…. Luckily, Ollie never did!"

Oum smiled.

"Did King and or Hooty…?"

"Every. Gosh. Darned. Time!" Eda growled. Thankfully, it was more funny than scary, as Ami giggled before ereaching for the waves. "Okay, I've seen three people go in. Its safe."

Ami cheered happily as Oum took her and produced a bottle from the beach bag.

"But first, we need to put one some sunscreen."

"No!" Ami frowned, pushing the bottle away. "No screen!"

"Yes, screen." Oum cooed. "Otherwise you'll burn up!"

"No burn! No screen!" Ami refused, reaching for the water.

"…Yup. You are DEFINTELY your mother's daughter." Oum groaned, remembering Anne doing the same when she was little. 'This going to be less relaxing than I thought…..'

Eda, close to getting ready to tan, simply smirked before spinning a magic circle. The sunscreen bottle floated, distracting Ami long enough for Oum to quickly put some on the toddler.

With that, Oum carried Ami to the water, placing her just where the waves touched the sand, to let her get a feel. As to be expected, the halfling toddler took to the sensation with exactment and intrigue, moving to waddle a little closer. Her grandmother noticed this and lifted her up so that only her feet where onj the sand and in the waves.

Ami giggled, enjoying the whole thing. She did wish her parents were here too though; her mommy would play with her while her daddy would sneak little spells to make the water move like it did in that movie they'd watched together.

Oum herself was delighted her granddaughter was having such a good time. She was too…minus the whistles and leers she got from some of the other beach goers.

"I'm old enough to be your mother!" Oum snapped, now regretting the fact she was aging so gracefully. "AND I'M MARRIED! HAPPILY!"

"I ain't!...yet." Eda smirked as she joined Oum while sipping a drink. She definitely enjoyed the attention more than Oum, shooting the Thai woman a wink. "But I can also tell y'all ain't matching them."

Ami suddenly stopped giggling and enjoying the waves when she spied a gaggle of men and even a few ladies come up to her ba; looking at her in a funny way. The toddler frowned and motioned to move to Eda. Oum didn't let her, instead venturing a little further, but still close in the unlikely event Eda needed help.

A few minutes later, Eda, now finished her drink and exchanging her shades for goggles, joined them. Ami snuck out of Oum's clutches and hugged the former Owl Lady.

"No worries kiddo." Eda assured her. "Your ba's dealt with way, way, waaaay worse than some dumb brats."

Ami seemed to be assured by this and let go, nearly going under before Eda pulled her up.

"Careful, Ami!" Eda gasped, but the baby just giggled and hugged her.

"…You okay?" Oum asked in concern.

"Like I said, no worries at all." Eda assured her fellow grandma. "And…to be honest? Yeah, the gawkers aren't as fun to tease anymore."

"Being in love will do that." Oum noted. "Still. I'm glad your okay."

"I still got the hook hand." Eda smirked. "Not that I needed it."

The two women laughed, which turned to grimacing when Ami suddenly became fussy and the air stinky.

"….Do you think I could manage from here?" Eda asked. She knew she probably could, but she also rather not pollute or leave…something gross.

"As much as I would love that? Let's not risk it." Oum sighed. "Sides, I'm getting kind of peckish."

"I could eat too, yeah." Eda realized. And with that, the grandmotehrs made their way back to shore to change Ami's diaper.

OWLPHIBIA

With Ami in a fresh diaper, Eda and Oum decided to hit the snack bar for lunch. Ami stood at Eda's side, apparently still not trusting those people to stay away from her Ba.

"Definitely your daddy's daughter." Eda cooed, messing with the toddler's hair, making her smile.

As Eda and Oum ordered, something caught Ami's eye: Another family off to the side going over seashells they'd found. Interested, Ami remembered seeing some in the water Grandma had taken her too and thought they'd make some nice presents for her grandpa, grad, mommy and daddy.

With determination in her heart, Ami focused deep, deep down…and finding what she was looking for, brought it to her. Instantly, her hair glowed blue and she floated upwards before willing herself to where the seashells had been.

Oum and Eda had turned their backs for half a minute, but that was all the blue haired halfling needed to blitz her way back. How no one else at the beach saw this would remain one of the greatest mysteries of the world.

Oum and Eda's reaction was to be expected…somewhat.

"YOU LOST AMI?!" They screamed at each other. "I LOST AMI?! YOU'RE THE RESPONISBLE/BADASS ONE!? STOP THAT! KNOCK IT OFF!"

Lunch forgotten, Oum and Eda began to scan the beach for their granddaughter finding her where they'd ventured.

"How did she even…?!" the two women asked before dashing forwards. "You know what? Never mind!"

"DON'T WORRY, SWEETHEART!" Oum screamed. "BA'S COMING!"

"GRANDMA TOO!" Eda followed in suit.

If Ami had any inkling she was in any sort of danger, she didn't act like it. All she did was enjoy the sight of waves crashing onto the rock and the seashells she could pick up; which turned out to be a great deal; as some fell out of her arms when Oum and Eda caught up with her.

"…This never leaves beach." Oum demanded. "We will never speak of this incident again.

"Agreed." Eda remarked. "I'll whip a memory loss potion just in case when we get back."

Ami just snuggled deeper into her grandmothers' embrace as they returned to their spot for a little more sunbathing before heading home.

And yes: Oum and Raine loved the seashells she brought them.

To be continued…

This chapter and the one before it was the brainchild of MetroXLR99; hope I delivered! This was the so far, true Oum and Eda chapter; the two disagreeing on many things, but bonding with each other over others and adoring their granddaughter.

Hope what I did with Eda and Oum was tasteful; I'm sorry to say that I've been the subject of my mother being hit on at the beach, so….But it was too good an opportunity to at least try. Also decided to have a wee bit of 'Calamity' Amity hijinks in this chapter; yes. Baby Ami can go calamity and seemingly without getting exhausted too!

A few ideas for the next chapter, which I will leave up to readers to decide; We can have

-a day at the museum

-Luz and Amity coming to see Ami

-Willow and Hunter coming to see Ami

-A Thai Temple adventure

Leave your preferences or any other ideas in a review. As usual, if used, I shall give credit.

And now? A DELETED SCENE!

Unfortunately for Oum and Eda, their misadventure DID make the evening news. And the day had been so productive and tiring for Anne for Olivier that they tried cable instead of streaming a movie.

And the first thing they saw was their mothers, in bikinis, chasing and saving their baby girl.

"MOOOOOOOOOM!" Anne roared in a way that called back to her anger at Sprig's first 'Frog-boy' adventures, shaking the hotel.

Her husband reacted differently:

"…Raine. Put my mother on the phone." Olivier smiled, barely containing his anger. "Now."

"Sweetheart, you know I would, but…" Raine winced. "Bee is giving them a lecture."

They then turned the phone, allowing Olivier and Anne to hear Bee going on a tirade in Thai about how his wife and Eda had fumbled so badly.

….

….

Anne and Olivier were not sure how to feel about this; hearing BEE of people getting mad was frankly unnerving.

"….Did something else happen?" Olivier asked

"Yeah: We got bored and started watching some theory videos on Marcy's comic, ticketys for the pilot at Comic Con came in the mail, by the way!"

"WOHOO!" Anne and Olivier cheered together. "YEAH, BABY!"

"And…well? " Raine then continued. "We found one that basically said the characters based off of you two shouldn't be romantically involved, called your love story slow and…well…altogether? Not pleasant for anyone who knows the real story."

"….Really, Maggie?" Anne sighed. "Thought we were…semi-cool."

"Honey, Maggie is Boscha, minus the mutilation. We both know that is not possible." Olivier sighed.

"Luckily, all the comments were calling the uploader and creator a moron." Raine smirked.

"Never mind, all is right in the world." Anne smiled.

"…Please record Bee's speech and send to us then." Olivier requested.

"Already doing it." Raine said. "Now, you two enjoy the rest of your evening."

"…And just for that? We're not telling them of the others coming." Anne humphed.

"Exactly." Olivier agreed. "….So…we have like…an hour and half before we meet Sasha for dinner…"

"Olivier Clawthorne-Boonchuy, you are insatiable." Anne smiled.

"Well, when a witch marries a Titaness made flesh and their adorable baby girl is someone else's responsibility for a few days…can ya really blame him?"

Anne melted into her husband's embrace

"And this has nothing to do with the gawkers?"

Olivier pouted suddenly, making Anne giggle.

"Mine!" he cutely demanded in spite of it all.

Scrapped this because, while funny, if this happened, there would be NOTHING keeping Anne and Olivier from taking their daughter back and this story, which is meant to be heartwarming and funny, would have some angst and drama in it. Elements which I can see being needed, but this is a feel good story so I'm trying to avoid those unless necessary.

Plus in hindsight, Ami wandering off onto a rock isn't exactly newsworthy in the eyes of many.

That and I don't think its quite in character for Olivier to be so non-chalant about Boscha, even if it has been years and he's proven to be better than her in any way that counts.

Until we meet again? Stay safe, warm and happy!
