Slicing Through the Spider's Web
Raiden just came out of the bathroom feeling relive and headed back to the classroom for lunch break and looking around seeing all the male students behaving better as they're starting to treat Tenbi Academy like a normal school, though he's also thinking about the fight with the Metal Gears. It's been a whole week since then and still no word from Gen if he found out anything from that little round robot he brought back, he'll have to just live the quiet times in school until Gen calls him.
Raiden enters the classroom and headed for his lunch box that he put inside his desk, then he notices Takeru looking a little pale and sad.
"Hey, you okay, Takeru?" Raiden asked.
"Oh, hey Raiden, I'm okay… it just Haruko got mad at me and now I have no lunch." Takeru sighed.
"I can share my lunch with you." Raiden offered.
"Really?" Takeru gasped.
(Rooftop)
"I see, I think Haruko got mad at you about the kiss with Himegami you mentioned. Sounds like she's jealous." Raiden said after hearing Takeru's story of what happened.
"She's jealous over that. I'll admit that I am a bit surprise and I do have a crush on Haruko though I'm nervous she'll return me feelings." Takeru stated as he eats an eggroll.
"She might not be thinking about it since the accident with the skirt." Raiden pointed out.
"Yeah, she'll be mad at me for a few days." Takeru sighed, then he looks down seeing Chacha and Azuki with some muscle guys.
"Hey, what's going on down there?" Takeru asked as Raiden look down to the scene as well.
"It looks like they're doing an arm-wrestling contest." Raiden said and saw Chacha win right after the contest started. "And Chacha won."
"Wow, she took him down in a second." Takeru surprised.
"Chacha is known for being physical stronger than most students, but I wonder why were they having an arm-wrestling contest." Raiden asked curious.
"I finally found you two slackers." Uruchi mocked walking up to them.
"Hey, I don't slack, and Raiden definitely doesn't." Takeru resented that remark.
"Do you know what was that about, Uruchi?" Raiden asked curious.
"They were adjusting the funding for different clubs. There are some groups that have a problem with how much money the Leadership Committee decided to give them, so we chat with them and work it out." Uruchi explained.
"That was a chat? Seriously?" Takeru wondered.
"I think the clubs do different contest after making the agreement for the funding." Raiden said.
"Yep, right now all the Security Committee members are negotiating with the various clubs and since we're new, the three of us are the only ones who are not." Uruchi pointed out.
"Okay, I think I get it. Sounds pretty cool." Takeru impressed.
"Probably Principal Minori is having some trouble with the school budget for the whole place in one piece consider the battles they do." Raiden stated.
"Don't get ahead of yourself just because you battled the principal and ended in a draw, even though we're freshmen I'm still your senior in Maken-Ki." Uruchi reminded them.
"Right." Raiden rolled his eyes.
(Meeting Room)
"Listen up, guys. We've had reports of random acts of violence occurring at school. These acts are particularly strange because the victims have no memory of what happened." Furan explained the situation to the three.
"Sounds like the work of a Maken that can wipe away memories." Raiden theorized.
"We thought about that too, because of it we have no idea who fought them. They obviously weren't basic duels." Furan nodded.
"We want you three to go talk to the students to see if they can learn anything new about those mysterious fights." Furan ordered.
"And just in case, be sure to check in with us periodically, okay?" Yuuka added.
"(This is going to be a little difficult working with Uruchi, consider she doesn't like guys and mostly Takeru for being friends with Haruko.)" Raiden thought wondered how this team will work out.
(Later)
"Three students and still nothing from about the violence case." Raiden said.
"Don't go complaining, we still have a lot of students to talk with." Uruchi reminded and getting angry from Takeru's growling stomach.
"Would you PLEASE stop groaning like that!" Uruchi angered.
"Sorry, my stomach is still hungry even though Raiden gave me some of his lunch." Takeru said.
"Here, maybe this will shut you up for a little while." Uruchi handed Takeru a few sandwiches.
"I hope you don't mind, but I like to know how you and Haruko met?" Raiden asked curious.
"If you must know, we met back in middle school when I spilled my lunch and she offered me some of hers. I look up to Haruko, she's so strong and sweet, I want to spent time with her and that's one of the reasons why I joined Maken-Ki." Uruchi remembered the first time they met and became friends.
"I see, so you became a lesbian." Raiden said.
"Hey, no need to say it out loud!" Uruchi yelled.
"But look, Haruko and Takeru have known each other since they were little kids and Takeru really cares for her like you do. He's a really nice guy who wants to help everyone to the best of his abilities, and hopefully he wouldn't suffer a tragic past." Raiden lectured.
"Tragic past, what do you mean?" Uruchi asked.
"It's just something I saw in his eyes; I didn't even ask him because I figure talking about would hurt him." Raiden mentioned.
"Hey, do you guys have any juice I can drink?" Takeru asked.
"I'm pretty thirsty too, let's go get some water. You can report to Committee while we're gone, Uruchi." Raiden walked away with Takeru.
"Hey! I told you NOT to call me by my first name, you don't that right!" Uruchi yelled.
Raiden and Takeru found a drinking fountain getting some water in their throats.
"Hey, do you think we're only here to carry their stuff like mules?" Takeru wondered if he's really gonna do anything special in Maken-Ki.
"Sometimes, you got start out small raising in the ranks by earning them through hard work. You'll get your chance to shine, don't worry." Raiden assured as he pats his friend's back.
"Thanks, that makes me feel a little better." Takeru smiled.
"Let work together to make the Security Committee proud." Raiden determined as Takeru agrees.
"Oh, so both of you are from the Security Committee?" A girl asked.
The boys turn to see a female student walking up to them.
She's a very attractive girl of medium height with semi-long maroon hair that reaches the back of her neck and red eyes. She wears the standard Tenbi uniform although, in her case, her distinctive feature is long, dark stockings with embroidered purples. Breasts sizes: D-cup.
"Because if you two are members, I'd like to talk to you for a minute." The girl said.
"Sure, we like to help." Takeru said being trance by her beauty.
"Would by any chance know about the violence act going on around here. Miss…" Raiden paused as she can introduces herself.
"Do I, and the name's Kumi Amio. Funny thing is I know who did it." Kumi said.
"Really? That's exactly what we need." Takeru gasped.
"Yes, oh right, can I get your names please?" Kumi asked.
"I'm Takeru Ooyama and he's Raiden Raitoningu." Takeru answered.
"Well, thank you for telling me. Takeru Ooyama. Raiden Raitoningu." Kumi smirked as strong wind blows from her.
"Maken Zone: Nephila" Kumi summoned her Maken and surrounding herself in a giant Element-shape web.
"What the hell? I can't move my legs!" Takeru freaked out.
"This must be her Maken's ability, trapping her opponents by saying their names." Raiden figured out.
"Wow, you must be pretty smart to figure that out so quickly. Doesn't matter though, you two are going to stay there unless you call your friends for backup." Kumi taunted.
"By the way, the more your struggle the less you'll be able to move." Kumi informed, then a light dagger of Element energy shot very close to her face.
"I couldn't care less about your Maken." Uruchi said as she enters the scene.
"The only thing I'm interested in… is finding out if you're the one behind the attacks." Uruchi determined.
"Shine Ready. Maken Sword: Perseus" Uruchi fired three light daggers at Kumi as she dodges them.
"You might as well give up, as long as I still have my Element, those daggers of light will just keep hunting you down." Uruchi bragged.
"Impressive, that must be why she's one of the Enforcers. She might be able to win this." Takeru commented.
"Hey, don't her know your full name or else you'll be trap like us!" Raiden warned.
"Okay, that's good to know, but you two better get yourselves together, got it!" Uruchi scolded.
"Right, sorry, Uruchi." Takeru apologized.
"I told you NOT to call me by my first name! It's Minaya or Miss Minaya, but that's it." Uruchi said.
"Damn it, Uruchi, get out of there now!" Raiden shouted knowing they just reveal Uruchi's name.
"Thank you for making that easy, Miss Uruchi Minaya." Kumi said and now Uruchi is trap too.
"No, I can't move!" Uruchi gasped.
"Of course, you stepped into my web, after all." Kumi chuckled.
"I guess this would mean you're the culprit behind those attacks as well." Raiden glared.
"Don't make it sound like I'm nasty, I just want to fight to fight the elite to see how strong they are." Kumi explained.
"So, you attack the students just to get their attention?" Takeru shocked.
"Yep, but for now you three deserve some punishment." Kumi said and launch her yo-yo weapon starting with Uruchi as she braces herself.
She waited the yo-yo to attack her, but nothing happens and heard a metal clashing sound then she saw Raiden with his back toward and his Maken out parry the yo-yo away.
"What the… how the fuck did you over there?" Kumi asked looking to where he was with Takeru.
"That's easy. I cut your web." Raiden smirked and the whole Element web shattered into slice pieces much to everyone's shock.
"No way…!" Kumi shocked.
"Now, why don't you tell why you're controlling Kumi and making her fight her fellow students?" Raiden asked, confusing Takeru and Uruchi while Kumi's eyes widen.
"Huh, what are you talking about, Raiden?" Uruchi asked.
"I guess I can tell you and Takeru about my eye-patch, it doesn't just cover my scarred right eye, but it also has a built-in radar that detects Element energies including invisible ones that others can't see" Raiden revealed shocking everyone.
"From what I can tell, your Maken is a special for controlling others like dolls and you can even do it from a longer distance. You started controlling Kumi to get her to attack the members of Maken-Ki to learn about their fighting abilities and Maken powers, am I right." Raiden figured out the villain's plan as he sees the invisible, thin element line one end on Kumi and the other elsewhere.
"Damn it, how were you able to figure it out?" The culprit asked through Kumi's voice.
"Let just say I'm a detective when it comes to these things, now you're going to free Kumi from your control and better hope I don't find you because there's going to be Hell to pay." Raiden threatened.
"Fine but be warn that you'll regret crossing me." The culprit said before Kumi gasps and fell on her knees as Raiden catch her.
"Come on, we better take her to the medic." Raiden said as he carries Kumi in his arms.
"Man, that was amazing." Takeru complimented.
"Well, I couldn't let the bastard hurt my friends now, could I?" Raiden said.
"You see me as a friend, even though I treated you badly?" Uruchi asked.
"Of course, we join Maken-Ki to help protect everyone and make sure everything is done far and square. I'm sure Haruko would be very proud of you for that determination spirit." Raiden smiled.
Uruchi was at a loss for words as she started to see Raiden as kind of a cool guy though she still doesn't trust guys much, but at least she can trust him and Takeru to take their job seriously a little.
"Well, you certainly proven that you can be usefully when you want. You better work hard, that goes for you too Takeru or else Haruko will scold you big time." Uruchi said.
"Right, I will. I intend on becoming stronger to help protect everyone!" Takeru determined which made Uruchi smile a little.
(Nursey Room)
"I'm so glad you guys are safe." Haruko sighed in relief.
"Sorry we didn't report in sooner, the enemy made it tricky to take Kumi down." Uruchi reported.
"We're just glad you're not seriously hurt, but I'm still surprised that the attacker was a puppet master making one doing her dirty work." Furan commented.
"Yes, and I could've follow the trail of the Element energy to where the user is, but I was worry about leaving Takeru and Uruchi to handle Kumi alone while she was still controlled." Raiden said looking at the sleeping Kumi.
"Well, you don't have to worry about her being mentally hurt. Her condition is fine." Aki informed.
"Thanks." Raiden said to the nurse.
"That was a very big risk you pulled out there, Raiden, what if Kumi wasn't being controlled by the enemy? What would you do then?" Yuuka asked curious.
"I would just knock her out cold with the flat end of my sword." Raiden shrugged.
"I expected nothing less from you." Yuuka winked at Raiden, making him blush a bit.
"It's still pretty cool that your eye-patch can detect Element energy, where did you get something like that?" Takeru asked.
"From a friend, that's all I can say to you." Raiden answered as he didn't want the others to know about his mission.
"But I also curious about if this enemy have others with her to erase memories like in the report." Raiden wondered.
"Yes, we need to be fully prepare for when we face this enemy and protect Tenbi Academy." Furan determined.
"I was kinda worry that I would have to step in." Haruko sighed in relief.
"Hmm, why's that?" Takeru asked.
"It's because my Maken is called Murakumo which is one of the eight original Maken and the most power weapon of them all and that I'm also the strongest person in the whole school besides the principal, of course." Haruko explained.
"Whoa! You're that powerful!" Takeru gasped.
"I hope you wouldn't mind having a sparring match to see your power in action." Raiden smirked.
"Sure, I'm curious to see your strength as well." Haruko nodded.
(Unknown Location)
"It looks like you were right about Raiden being the biggest threat as he only shown us a fraction of his strength." A young girl said with long twirling twin tails and red eyes.
"Which is why I'm here to offer my help for you to understand his power, and I'm very excited for when I get the chance to kill him." A woman smirked with her appearance hiding in the darkness.
"And we're glad to have you here, this way we can hold out until the others get here. Right, Otohime?" A young man pointed to his young sister.
"You're right, Gouken. Our grandfather and your boss were wise to join forces, we hope you perform well, Cold Wind of France." Otohime grinned.
"It will be a show you'll never forget, Otohime Yamato." The woman excited as one of her eyes glow red.
