First Mission out of School

Raiden is seen out on the running track field with Chacha, Kimi, and Azuki doing some hand-to-hand combat practice as this is mostly for Kimi because Raiden believes she needs to be ready in case the enemy couldn't give her time to use her Maken and train to increase her reaction speed too.

"Okay Kimi, remember what I told you about." Raiden said.

"Right." Kimi nodded.

Raiden and Kimi stare at each other in their fighting stance while Chacha and Azuki are watching from the sideline, then the silver hair boy dash at Kimi throwing a fast straight punch as Kimi was able to move her head to avoid the strike and move it away with her left hand. Kimi thrust her right hand for a palm strike to the stomach but Raiden blocks it with his arm and push her away for a few feet and dash for a swing kick which she manage to lean down to dodge and jumps up spinning around to perform her own swing kick to the head though Raiden blocks her attack again. Raiden grabs her leg and slams her down to the ground causing her to groan in pain, but she quickly recovers to see her sparring partner about to do an axe-kick as she rolls out of the way, then she swipe kick his other leg to make him lose balance for a moment. This would be the opening she's been waiting for as she charge forward, Raiden try to punch her away but she smack her fist to misdirect his and fast left hook to the side though he use his other free hand to punch Kimi before her fist could make contact to her body.

"Alright, I think that's enough for today." Raiden said.

"Wow, Kimi almost had him there." Chacha smiled, proud of her little friend doing so well against him.

"Even though Raiden said he's holding back, it's still feels like he's a professional fighter." Azuki commented.

"You did well, Kimi, glad to see your combat training is improving." Raiden said helping his roommate up.

"Thanks, it's been two weeks since the incident with the possessed culprit and we still could find any clues about her." Kimi mentioned.

"We'll find her, it's only a matter of time." Raiden stated.

"Yo, Raiden!" Gen called out.

"What's up, Gen?" Raiden said as Azuki toss him a water bottle and he catches it.

"I got an important errand for you, a special item to complete Takeru's Maken." Gen answered, but Raiden can tell it is not about Takeru's Maken.

"Did you ran out of it?" Chacha asked.

"You could say that. Come on, I'll brief in you my lab." Gen gestured Raiden to follow him.

"See you later girls." Raiden said before following Gen.

Azuki watch the two going to the lab while thinking about what Gen said finds it strange and that he needs Raiden to go get it for him.

"Hmm, something wrong, Azuki?" Kimi asked.

"Guys, has Gen ever needed help getting the materials he needs for his work, like ever?" Azuki asked the two best friends.

"Huh, now that you mentioned it, Gen always seem to have everything he needs to make new Maken." Chacha said.

"Do you think he's hiding something?" Kimi asked.

"I do, and I bet my teddy bear panties that Raiden is also keeping big secrets from us too. And we're going to find out what it is." Azuki stated.

(Gen's Lab)

"So, what you got for me, Boris?" Raiden asked.

"You will be going Sukhumi, the capital of Abkhazia to stop a European terrorist, Andrey Dolzaev." Boris informed showing a picture of the man.

"I take it the normal military couldn't handle him." Raiden guessed.

"Not when he is packing some cyborg security." Boris showed some images of cyborg men roaming the streets of the city.

"They even got some Metal Gears too." Gen mentioned as images of some Gekkos around as well.

"Damn, that guy must have made some serious connections to get himself some Metal Gears." Raiden glared at the screen.

"I also have a theory that whoever Dolzaev made a deal with, they must be the ones who send those little bots to Tenbi ground." Gen said.

"Then I better get going, but what about my school and my friends?" Raiden asked, not wanting to worry his friends for being gone for a day or two.

"Don't worry, I already told Minori that you're going on a trip for today." Gen informed.

"And I already send a jet for you, it's small and fast. Should get you there quickly." Boris added.

"Alright, I'm on my way." Raiden nodded and walk out of the lab.

(Later)

Flying over in the middle of the ocean, a black jet is zooming through the raining sky as Raiden is sitting on his chair enjoying the ride by meditating to clear his mind getting ready for his mission.

"Yo, Raiden! Getting excited to be back out on the field again?"Gen asked through a hologram screen.

"Yeah, just resting my body a bit. How did the girls take the news of me leaving?" Raiden asked. Before leaving, he asks Gen to tell his roommates about his sudden absence from school.

"I'm they would be mad or a little understanding if they were still in the academy." Gen exclaimed.

"What do you mean?" Raiden confused.

"I mean they're not in the academy anymore. Heck, they're not even in their rooms, I looked around and still couldn't find them." Gen explained with a worry expression.

"They must be around there somewhere; it's not they could have gone some… where… else." Raiden slowly turned his head around to the back where the little bathroom is.

"Raiden, what's wrong?" Gen wondered.

"Hold on for a moment." Raiden said and got slowly walking toward the bathroom reaching his hand toward the handle.

Then suddenly he heard a little fart noise and burst out of the bathroom are Azuki and Kimi gasping for air while Chacha giggles while scratching the back of her head.

"Sorry about that, I had some barbeque with chili beans for a snack before we left." Chacha apologized.

"Next time, just drink some juice or something." Azuki glared.

"Azuki, Chacha, Kimi? Are you girls doing here?" Raiden gasped.

"That what we should be asking you! What the fuck is going here, why are you flying a jet overseas heading some country fighting against a European terrorist with cyborgs?" Azuki demanded answers.

"How'd you know about that?" Raiden asked.

"We… kinda overheard you from outside of Gen's lab." Kimi answered nervous.

"You got to be kidding me…" Gen sighed.

"Is it too late to turn this jet around?" Raiden asked.

"I'm afraid so… Boris, we have a problem." Gen contacted Boris, putting him on screen next to his.

"Oh dear, we were not expecting that. But seeing as you are close to your destination, they will have to come with you." Boris ordered.

"I was hoping Tenbi wouldn't get involve in this anytime soon." Gen worried.

"We both knew that day would come, now it looks like we'll have to inform Minori and Maken-Ki about our group as well." Raiden stated.

"Alright, just make sure you keep them safe and bring them back alive after this mission." Gen said.

"I will and don't worry, I'm confidence they can handle a few cyborgs on their own." Raiden believed.

"Raiden, can you hear me." A bald man with glasses appeared on the hologram screen next to them.

"Doktor, what's up?" Raiden greeted.

"Just wanted to tell you to get some of the cyborgs' left hand." Doktor mentioned.

"Their left hand?" Chacha confused.

"Their combat data, stored on holographic memory, typically located in the left hand. That data is very valuable, maybe some information about this enemy group who tried to attack Tenbi." Doktor explained.

"Like the one who controlled Kumi?" Kimi asked shock.

"That's what we believe." Raiden said.

"Ich liebe Kapitalismus! Had this wonderful data and tech come down a few years earlier, I would have a Nobel Prize on my shelf!" Doktor excited.

"He sure like things all science and stuff." Azuki deadpanned.

"That just how he is." Raiden nodded and then he heard beeping sounds.

"Looks like we're near land." Raiden said.

"Three miles out and closing. No activity at the air base, looks like we don't need to worry about interceptors." Courtney informed.

"Great, then we have time for a quick briefing." Kevin greeted.

"I know you miss me, Kev. But Boris already gave me the brief of the mission." Raiden mentioned.

"That what you said before Montenegro." Kevin pointed out.

"You've been to Montenegro!" Kimi amazed.

"The briefing is for your lady friends since they'll be tagging along. Objectives, of course, are enter Abkhazia, neutralize the terrorists, and restore the rightful government… or what's left of it, anyway." Kevin briefed about the mission.

"Restored? What happened to them?" Azuki asked.

"The president and most of the cabinet have been killed, and a military junta's been established." Kevin answered.

"That's horrible." Kimi shocked and sad.

"The terrorists' brain-jacked all the high-ranking officers and their cyborgs scattered the rank-and-file. The few leaders who survived have no way of openly opposing the new regime. And that's why they called us." Kevin explained.

"Wow! That's so cool, you're a secret agent!" Chacha cheered.

"Something like that." Raiden smiled.

"The man you are after is Andrey Doizaev, leader of the occupation forces. An extremist linked to both the St. Petersburg massacre of 2015 and last year's terror spree of Georgia. And his arms supplier, we have yet to know who they are, but I hope you'll find some information about the enemies while there." Boris said.

"Damn, this is bigger than stopping some idiots back at Tenbi." Azuki said, feeling a little nervous.

"If we don't stop them, they could destabilize the entire region." Kevin said.

"Then that would leave the country under the rule of a dictator." Azuki figured.

"Exactly! Now, you girls are going to have to make your own landing once you're launched." Kevin mentioned.

"Wait, launched?" The girls confused then Raiden grab them in his arms.

"Just enjoy the ride." Raiden smirked.

The floor below them started to lower as they are now outside and under the jet, the girls becomes scare and wanted to ask Raiden something but it was too late as they are launched like human missiles making the girls scream in fear.

"RAIDEN! YOU'RE SO DEAD WHEN WE GET BACK TO TENBI!" Azuki screamed.

Raiden couldn't help but chuckle at the sight of Azuki being scared and clenching onto him tightly, he emit his lightning element on his body and hop on the water then land on the shore safely with the girls still screaming a little until they realize they're on dry land now.

"This how you get to places before coming to Tenbi?" Kimi asked, still shaken from the experience.

"Mostly. Here, these are codec earpiece, wear them at all times so can call each other." Raiden handed the girls come highly advance earpieces.

"Cool! Now it's time to do some supersecret agent stuff!" Chacha excited.

"Will you knock it off, this is serious." Azuki pointed out.

"She's right, let's move out." Raiden said as the girls nodded.

"Raiden, you and the girls landed safely, da?" Boris asked through the com-link.

"Yeah, just about to head out." Raiden answered.

"Good. First, head inland, the waypoint is marked on your eyepatch radar and com-link." Boris informed.

"Wow, it's like watching TV with my ears." Chacha complimented on the advance earpiece and the hologram screen in front of her.

"Remembering, this is far more dangerous than dealing with problems back in Tenbi." Raiden reminded the girls.

They ran up the stairs heading into a ruined street, then Raiden stop the group and a cyborg appeared out of nowhere.

"Whoa, we're already facing the enemy!" Chacha shocked.

"The bastards are using stealth camo to ambush you. Nice try, but it won't work against a boy with the strength of ten cyborgs." Boris smirked.

"Let show them what Maken-Ki can do." Raiden said, bringing out his Maken sword.

"Four for each, bad odds for them." Azuki smirked, cracking her knuckles.

Raiden blitz pass one cyborg appearing behind him, he put his sword back in the sheath as the enemy cyborg literally fell into bloody pieces.

"Don't hold back, they're killers! Strike them down!" Raiden shouted.

"I… I understand!" Kimi said as she dodges some swing slash attacks from her opponent.

"Maken Tablet: Comic Star, Freeze" Kimi wrote the Japanese symbol for freeze on the cyborg making him frozen in place.

"Please forgive for doing this." Kimi said and took the blade from the hand, then stabs it right into the head.

Chacha is playing with her opponent easily dodging his strikes and punching him a few times.

"Wow, you guys are hard, but nothing I hadn't dealt with before." Chacha commented and flip a glass shard in the air with her feet.

Maken Steel: Compression" Chacha threw the shard down at the cyborg which it becomes twenty times bigger impaling the guy through the chest and kick the head to knock him out.

"Okay, I'll admit doing that just now felt scary and gruesome." Chacha confused, seeing the oil or blood or whatever these cyborgs run on leaking out.

"Maken Wings: Hawk, Airstep Darkrow" Azuki kicked one cyborg down to the ground so hard, that her foot smash through the chest and creating a small crater.

Nice job, girls. I know it wasn't easy killing them." Raiden said.

"I think I might have nightmares for a few nights." Chacha said.

"I'm still surprise that there are cyborgs here kinda like in a manga." Kimi said and then Kevin called appearing on the hologram screen.

"Well, tech advancement has been spreading for the last few years. That CNT muscle fiber packs the power of a jackhammer into every limb. What enterprising soldier of fortune could resist?" Kevin mentioned.

"And yet they're still humans despite having their flesh replace with metal." Azuki pointed out.

"Yep. Way less risk of collateral damage than your typical UAV strike." Kevin nodded.

"I have no idea what that is, but it sounds painful." Chacha commented.

"You could say it is and there's also the PR angle. Nations start playing Frankenstein with their troops, and the public goes nuts; PMCs, on the other hand are off the ethical radar." Courtney explained.

"Yeah, they still don't even count PMCs in official death tolls. With SOP out of the picture, private militaries needed a new edge on the market. We got it." Kevin bragged.

"What is SOP?" Azuki asked.

"Something we dealt with some time ago, guess these are like that but go by another name." Raiden said.

"Yeah, only more muscle and less predictable." Courtney added.

"So… did all the soldiers chose to be cyborgs?" Kimi asked, looking at the cyborg she killed.

"I don't think so, but even if they did refuse the solider would end up as cyborgs." Kevin exclaimed.

"No doubt the mysterious group are doing the same thing to them as well. The best thing we can do for them is letting them rest in peace." Raiden stated, pulling Kimi in for a little hug.

Kimi nodded leaning her head on Raiden's chest as she starts sobbing upon realizing she just killed a person, soon she and the rest will find more fights along the way.
