Lightmon was a simple enough creature to understand. But after the power slams through it, it becomes... a colorful, ridiculous looking thing with a paint brush and a palette held in her little hands. Although at first glance she looks human enough, it's obvious she's more of a bird, her feet giving her away. The fact she has a tail on top of all of that further confuses Karmen as she examines her partner. But she doesn't have time to say anything before Effecmon lunges forward and begins splashing paint over the strange creatures lunging towards them, splashing red and green and purple all over the blue water creature with a loud cackle.
Ranamon freezes, then lets out a squeech before trying to rush at Effecmon... just to find she can't move. She sputters and looks down, finding her legs frozen to the ground, sealed by paint. "Wha- what did-"
Effecmon giggles and gives another quick swipe of her paintbrush, more colors streaking over Ranamon's body, pouring over what remains of her legs. "You need changed," she says cheerfully. "I'm going to make you better!"
Ranamon tries again to attack, and fails, her legs now completely sealed into something resembling a mermaid's tail. "What the hell is this?! What did you do to me?"
"Look how pretty you look!" Effecmon says. "Now you're the water creature you should be!"
Ranamon cries out in rage, raising her arms up. "Whipping Waves!" she roars, a horrible blast of water heading for them.
Karmen gasps. "Effecmon!" she cries out, before everything goes dark, oxygen ridded from Karmen's lungs as she's washed off of her feet.
