Sixty times gravity was intense, Bakugo could barely stand let alone move in it.
But still he forced himself too, squated low and slowly walked across the gravity chamber while Izumi was doing push-ups, her body and training gi slick with sweat.
"Another...three minutes...then we switch!" Izumi ground out as she lowered herself once again, he didn't know her count, but knowing her it was high.
"Don't tell me what to do, loser!" Bakugo snapped, no real heat behind his words.
He was far too tired for any genuine anger.
With a groan he forced himself to stand tall, then fell forward and caught himself with his hands, going straight into push ups as Izumi did a burpee and began the same squatted walking that he had done.
"At this rate we'll be able to go up to seventy times gravity by lunch." she pante out, "eighty by tonight, and then we can jump into one hundred tomorrow, with a day to relax before the fight."
"He's going down," Bakugo growled, forcing himself to go harder, faster, forcing his body to get used to the gravity.
Izumi smiled as she watched him for a few moments, then let out a groan as she continued with her work out.
By the time they stumbled out for lunch, they had pushed it to seventy times gravity, looking a little worse for wear as they practically collapsed onto the living room couches.
"Sounds like you two are coming along nice." Mitsuki praised as she walked in with a couple of bags of fast food, "better eat up quick, only got thirty minutes."
Both teens groaned as they sat up, ravenously pulling the burgers out of the bag and te themaring into them with gusto.
"Bulma said Trunks hasn't changed his training regime at all." Mitsuki began, popping her neck, "he's not doing anything extra for this fight."
"Good," Bakugo growled, "that makes it that much easier to kick his ass."
"You're underestimating him," Izumi pointed out.
"He really is," Mitsuki sighed, then clapped her hands and stood up, "but he's right, Trunks is going into this fully confident in his ability to kick your ass, that's a dangerous mindset to have against an opponent who has a quirk, ki, and nothing to lose."
"Especially since Kacchan only needs to hit him three times." Izumi said, looking at Bakugo worriedly, "Trunks isn't known for being soft Kacchan, he's going to drag this out as much as he can."
"I'm ready." he muttered.
"Hopefully." Mitsuki said, checking her watch, "better get back to it if you want that hope."
"Come on Izumi." Bakugo said, forcing himself back to his feet alongside Izumi, the two trudging back out to the gravity chamber.

Kirishima forced himself to take another step, his legs shaking under the weight of several slabs of concrete, his back slick with sweat.
"Keep going young man!" Toshinori shouted as the boy forced another step, wincing when Toshinori added another slab of concrete.
"This is intense!" Kirishima gritted out, "It's so manly!"
Toshinori chuckled a bit, "gotta admire that spirit of his." He said softly as he watched Kirisbima force himself through the last lap, letting out a groan of relief when he dropped the slabs of concrete off his back, "bring it in young man, there's something I want to talk to you about."
Kirishima ran over, stretching his tortured his muscles.
"How has Ki training been going for you?" He asked, deflating to his skinny form while Kirishima sheepishly scratched the back of his head.
"I manifested my ki after you gave me one for all, but there's not much I can do with it." Kirishima said apologetically.
"Don't worry, you're doing a lot of this without any help, and unlike Young Midoriya, you've only had a week to learn." Toshinori put his fists on his hips, grinning down at his successor, "but now you got me in your corner," he continued, jabbing a thumb at himself, "and while I'm not a master at it, I've learned a few things myself when it comes to Ki."
"No way! You know ki control?!" Kirishima exclaimed in awe.
"Indeed I do, I don't normally use it, only when I face opponents too strong for One For All alone." He explained, "last time I used it I got this injury, without it I would have been worse off; I learned three techniques through my years, and today, I will begin teaching you one of them."
Kirishima asked in awe.
"Yes, it's one I used in my younger days to fend off the invaders known as the frieza force." He said gravely, "used correctly it will increase your stamina and strength two fold and can even push further beyond that! The man who taught me this technique could push it to ten times when pressed, but doing so can seriously tear up your body." All Might drew himself to his full height, "this past week I have done my best to simulate ten times earth gravity for you to better strengthen your body, today you went beyond that! Now is the time to continue your training." He put a hand on Kirishima's shoulder, "young Kirishima, from now until the Sports Festival, I will be teaching you the Kaio-Ken Technique."
"Kaio-ken…" Kirishima breathed.
"Yes, it's a surge of excess power that will enhance your strength, speed. Stamina and senses," All Might explained, "but it's only a brief power up, barely a Heartbeat, so you must learn to utilize it to its utmost potential! Combined with One For All this technique is nigh unstoppable but for the most powerful opponents, opponents you'll be seeing fight come this friday."
"You mean Bakugo?" Kirishima asked unsurely, "I know he's strong but with One For All and this technique-"
"-do not underestimate your classmates, Young Kirishima." All Might warned, "in my prime Mitsuki Bakugo could go toe to toe with me through sheer spite, and she hasn't reached the level of her son and niece, you've been training under ten times gravity, and an imperfect training at that, Bakugo and Midoriya have gone beyond that, last I heard they were pushing eighty times gravity."
"Eighty times-how can I keep up with that!?" Kirishima asked in horror.
"I'm getting my own personal gravity chamber fixed, it should be ready the day after Young Bakugo's fight."
"Oh man, that's only two days off." Kirishima muttered, grinning to himself, "Bakubro's got this though!"
"Don't be so sure." Toshinori warned, "his opponent is a third year at Shiketsu, he has experience and power over Bakugo."
"No way! Bakugo's gotta be way stronger than that guy!"
Toshinori shook his head, "Young Briefs was trained by his father at a young age, much like Young Midoriya, unlike young Midoriya his training was harsh, to the brink of what he could withstand, not only that but he had state of the art equipment that he could train with; something Bakugo has never had before. This will not be an easy fight for Young Bakugo, and you will do well to watch, and understand that, as first years, there are many whose strength far surpasses your own."
Kirishima seemed to deflate a bit, then he gained a thoughtful expression, "how does he match up against you All-Might?"
"hmm…I'd say Young Brief is about on par with me currently." All Might muttered, "though with my wound, as well as my age, I'd be more accurate in saying he's probably surpassed me."
"
"Then…then why didn't you choose one of them to be your successor?" Kirishima asked hesitantly.
"He's strong enough to wield it," Toshinori admitted begrudgingly, "but he's not a hero to be a symbol of peace, he's becoming a hero so he could use his Ki whenever he needs it. Same with Goten, out of the Z-Fighters children, I do believe only Young Midoriya and Little Marin want to be heroes full time. I chose you because I can see a burning need to help, not for the sake of fame or fortune, but to lend a hand to your fellow man without any want of reward; so take heart, and know that I believe with training, and the will to persevere, that you will be able to match and even surpass Young Trunks."
Kirishima clenched his fist, looking at his mentor with fiery resolve, "I'll do it! I'll become so strong that even Midoriya and Bakugo will be wary of fighting me! I'll become the symbol of peace and protect people with my manly spirit!"
"I know you will, young Kirishima! Now head home, rest up, after the fight on friday we'll be putting our noses to the grindstone!"
"Yes sir!"
WVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVW
Class 1A was very tense.
All of them had heard of the school sanctioned fight, and what was on the line, one of their strongest could potentially be kicked out over a single fight.
"Why would Bakugo make this deal?" Mina mumbled, "I mean his entire future is on the line!"
"He wants to get stronger," Kirishima said gruffly, crossing his arms, "and after the USJ who could blame him? I know I don't, in fact I"m trying to catch up!"
"We're all training hard to hold even a candle to these guys," Ojiro muttered, looking down at his bandaged hands, ever so slightly stained with blood, " The guy that Hashiga sent me to? Yamcha? Guys working me to the bone, said something about it being a personal vendetta; and I agree, I won't be weak, not again."
"But that still doesn't explain why he just doesn't go to the teachers, or Piccolo, or even his own mother!" Momo exclaimed.
"He's already learned from his mom," Uraraka said with a shrug, "and Trunks is powerful, he probably thinks he can learn more from him."
"He can't be that strong can he?" Sato asked hesitantly, making everyone look about awkwardly.
"Trunks Briefs is one of the most promising third year high school students in the country."
Aizawa's voice made all of them jump, looking towards their injured teacher as he walked in, "he, along with Son Goten are known as the Devil's Duo of Shiketsu, both are on par with All-Might in terms of raw power."
"There's no way!" Hagakure exclaimed.
"Yeah! No ones as strong as All-Might!" Mineta said hotly.
"It's true," Kirishima said gravely, "if Bakugo's mom and Piccolo are correct."
"They are," Aizawa sighed, "your classmate is playing a risky gamble with this. Should he win then he potentially has access to all kinds of techniques and training that no normal high schooler will have access too, should he fail-"
"-he wouldn't actually quit would he?" Kaminari muttered.
"Bakugo's a man of his word," Ojiro supplied, "if he agrees to it, then he'll back it up.
"Insanity, to stake your entire future on one fight." Iida whispered with a shake of his head.
"It's a condition that many heroes face on the daily," Aizawa said, "at any time a hero on duty can have their life cut short, crippling injuries, any fight they go into could potentially end their careers, the fact that Bakugo's willing to risk it all shows he has the correct mindset." he looked at all of them, "would you be able to take the same stakes? Something to ponder during these next few days."
Friday
Bakugo sat in the locker room in his hero costume, making sure his gauntlets were properly secured on his forearms, fastening buckles and making sure his support gear was in it's place.
Then he paused, pulling the small little grenades off of his belt and pulling his gauntlets off, setting them into his closet and closing it before heading out.
"Kacchan!" Izumi cheered, jumping off the wall where she'd been waiting for him, pausing when she saw his support gear gone, "where's your gauntlets?" she asked curiously.
"Don't need them." he said gruffly, heading off down the hall, Izumi floating after him.
"B-but Trunks is really strong! You need every advantage you can!" she babbled, pulling on her hair, 'If you don't have your support gear, then you won't have an advantage and then trunks is gonna win and you're gonna have to quit the hero course and-'' she stopped when Bakugo set a gloved hand atop her head, she froze at the unexpected contact and looked up at Bakugo, who gave her a small, almost imperceptible smile.
"Don't worry about it." He said, "three hits, that's what I need, and that gear weighs me down, so I don't need it." he pulled his hand back and turned away once more, "now head off to the viewing stands, wouldn't want you to miss me pummel your cousin."
Izumi took a deep breath, "Be careful Kacchan, please?" she begged.
Bakugo said nothing, instead he continued walking, leaving Izumi standing alone in the hall.

Kirishima was surprised by the amount of people sitting in the viewing stands Cementoss had made along the front of Training Ground Bravo, most of UA as well as several dozen Shiketsu students milled about, buying snacks, talking to friends and even placing bets on the fight.
"Yo Kirishima!"
"Hashiga!" Kirishima greeted, clasping hands with the Shiketsu freshman, "this is crazy right? It's just a spar."
"It's more than that." Victoria said, slithering over, her tail wrapping around Hashiga's leg, "the last time a challenge like this was issued, All-Might narrowly defeated the Android twins and shot UA to the top of the food chain."
"Doubt it'll be that much of an impact this time." Hashiga said with a shrug, walling with Kirishima to the bleachers, where the rest of 1A was waiting, "Trunks is a 3rd year, Bakugo's good, but not that good."
"Still, it's big." Victoria said.
"You said it! I'm so PUMPED!"
Kirishima jumped at the new voice, staring in confusion at a boy who was taller than even sato, with a shaved head and intense eyes, he was wearing the shiketsu uniform and exuded excitement that could rival even Kirishima on his best day.
"Hey Inasa." Hashiga greeted, "Kirishima, this is Yorashi, Inasa, fellow first year."
"It's great to meet you!" Yorashi shouted, jutting his arm out.
"Hell yeah man same!" Kirishima exclaimed, shaking his hand firmly, "I'm Eijiro Kirishima!"
"I am so stoked to be friends with hero students from UA!" Yorashi boomed excitedly, "I love UA!"
"I LOVE UA TOO!" Kirishima shouted gleefully.
"It may have been a mistake to introduce these two." Victoria muttered.
"Kirishima! Kacchan's ready for the fight-oh! Hello!" Izumi chirped when she noticed Inasa, "I'm Izumi MIdoriya!"
"I'm Yorashi Inasa! It's so great to meet you!"
"It's so great to meet you too!"
"Bigger mistake to let these two meet." Hashiga sighed, "come on, let's go find the rest of 1A."
"You guys aren't going to sit with your class?" Kirishima asked as they walked, Inasa and Izumi still enthusiastically greeting each other.
"Nah, Shishikura's been annoying lately since he found out I'm friends with Bakugo," Hashiga muttered, "i'm not gonna sit through this fight being insulted."
"That's so unmanly!" Kirishima exclaimed, "who cares if you're friends with Bakugo?"
"Shishikura does." Inasa chimed in, "he's got such school spirit! I love it!"
"You love everything Inasa." Victoria sighed, looking out towards the cityscape of training ground bravo, "it starts soon doesn't it?"
"It does," Izumi said solemnly, finally letting her feet touch the ground, behind them sat 1A, who immediately greeted the shiketsu students; only Todoroki was missing, Izumi couldn't begin to wonder where he was, it wasn't like him to miss out on observing his competition, "I hope Bakugo will be alright…"
Victoria put a reassuring hand on her shoulder, "from what Hashiga tells me, he'll be fine." She said, giving her a friendly smile, "Trunks is strong, but Bakugo only needs to get three hits in."
"Right…three hits…" Izumi mumbled, worrying her bottom lip.
WVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVW
"ALRIIIIIIGHT!" Present Mic exclaimed into the microphone, "WELCOME ONE AND ALL TO TRAINING GROUND BRAVO HERE AT UA CAMPUS! WE COME TOGETHER TODAY TO WITNESS THE FIGHT BETWEEN CLASS 1-A's KATSUKI BAKUGO, AND SHIKETSU HIGH'S THIRD YEAR HEROICS CLASS PRESIDENT, NUMERO UNO OF THE DEMONS OF SHIKETSU, TRUNKS BRIEEEEEEEFS!"
The stands exploded into cheers as the two students stepped into the faux city, both easily seeing the other on the main road, taking calm, measured steps until they were standing in front of each other; Bakugo in his hero uniform sans his support gear, and Trunks in his usual outfit.
"AND HERE TO REFEREE THE FIGHT! YOU KNOW HIM, YOU LOVE HIM, GIVE IT UP! FOR THE PRO HERO KAMI!"
Once more the stands cheered as Kirllin landed beside them, one arm still in a cast.
"Alright you two,' Krillin began, crossing his arms and looking between the two, "I want a clean fight, no low blows, and treat your opponent respectfully; if I call them down, they're down. Understood?"
"Understood Krillin," Trunks said, still staring Bakugo down.
"Got it." Bakugo growled.
"Alright, I'll be watching." Krillin said, launching himself into the sky to watch.
"I hate to say it Erasure, but I don't think your student has it in him to win.' Mic said, turning the microphone off so he wouldn't be overheard.
"I don't blame you," Aizawa sighed, "had this been the Bakugo from before the USJ, i'd have to agree, but he's got a fire in him now, one that won't let him lose."
"Let's hope that's enough." the sound hero muttered, turning the mic back on, "I HOPE ALL YOU COOL CATS ARE READY! THE FIGHT BEGINS IN 10! 9!"
Trunks smirked, "last chance kid," he said, "give up, and maybe you can keep your dream."
"Fuck that," Bakugo spat, "don't try and get out of this asswhooping."
Trunks laughed at that, 'You got grit kid, I'll give you that."
"2! 1! START!"
Both Bakugo and Trunks blurred, disappearing from where they stood.
"What the-where did they-" Kirishima was cut off as a powerful burst of air pressure blasted the city from above the tallest skyscraper, blowing out all the windows in the city; the cause? A single punch from both Bakugo and Trunks that had collided full force.
"AND THE TWO OPPONENTS MEET EACH OTHER HEAD ON WITH A FULL POWERED PUNCH!"
"You're strong." Trunks growled out.
"Shut it and fight!" Bakugo roared, letting loose an explosion and forcing trunks to disengage, he didn't give him a chance to breath as he charged forward, fists and feet a blur of attack; Trunks weaved between the attacks, each one a hair's breadth away from connecting.
And then Bakugo suddenly disappeared.
"What?" Trunks exclaimed a split second before an axle kick sent him crashing back to earth.
"QUIT UNDERESTIMATING ME!" Bakugo roared, blasting off after Trunks, an explosion-filled punch launching him back into the sky, chasing after Trunks as he began to hurl Ki blasts after the retreating Trunks, who met the attacks with his own.
"AND BAKUGO'S GOTTEN TWO HITS ON TRUNKS! WILL THIS FIGHT BE OVER SO FAST!? "
WVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVW
'I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! BAKUGO'S LANDED TWO HITS!" Present Mic cheered as the UA stands went wild, no one was expecting Bakugo to get a hit this early in, let alone two.
"THAT'S MY SON!" Mitsuki exclaimed, whistling loudly while Piccolo rolled his eyes.
"Gotta admit, it was a good move." Piccolo muttered, watching Trunks and Bakugo dogfight in the sky, "he held his power back until he was sure he could catch Trunks off guard."
"From what I can see, his power levels are almost to All-Might's base level." Tien mumbled quietly, "without One For All at least."
"It's still impressive." Aizawa hummed, "for now."
WVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVW
Trunks growled as another powerful punch grazed him, forcing him to dodge, "you're stronger than I gave you credit for." he said, catching Bakugo's punch, much to the other boy's surprise. Trunks pushed him away, slowly taking his jacket off.
"Finally feeling the heat, asshole?" Bakugo sneered, setting off low level pops on his palms, "one more hit and this is over, so why don't you-"
"-you're right."
"Huh?" Bakugo questioned in confusion, watching Trunks carefully as the boy brought his arms to his side in a horse stance.
"-I am feeling the heat," Trunks clarified, "I underestimated your strength, so let's take the kiddie gloves off." his muscles seemed to bulge as he started to yell, 'haaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAA-"
"What the hell-" Bakugo began as a heavy pressure seemed to fill the air, the sky above them began to darken, lightning crashing and crackling across the sky, "The fuck is this!"
WVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVW
"He wouldn't!" Izumi exclaimed, jumping from her seat and staring at the two fighters in worry.
"Wouldn't what?" Mina asked her friend, a small sliver of unease snaking its way up her spine.
"This is dangerous, he can't-" Izumi mumbled worriedly, "i need to-"
"-Don't move, cousin."
All of class 1A tensed when Goten suddenly appeared at Izumi's side, his hand pointed at her neck.
"Goten." Izumi growled low in her throat.
"This isn't your fight to get involved in," Goten said, giving her an apologetic smile, "don't worry, Trunks knows what he's doing."
Izumi clenched her fist, "Bakugo…"
"W-what's so bad about a little screaming?" Kaminari asked, chuckling uneasily.
"Are you just ignoring the thunderstorm that rolled in when he started that?" Jirou deadpanned.
"It's like he's charging up excess power." Momo whispered, staring at the two with binoculars, Uraraka and Hagakure were beside her looking extremely nervous.
Hashiga shifted, "Master Tien told us about this." he muttered, looking up at Trunks, "it's something only those with Saiyan blood can do…"
WVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVWVW
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"
Bakugo growled and shot off once more, twisting in the air as he performed his special move, "YOU THINK I'M GONNA GIVE YOU THE CHANCE TO POWER UP!? HOWITZER IMPACT!"
The explosion rocked the faux city, forcing the crowd to brace.
When the smoke cleared they were met with the shocking sight of Bakugo's fist being held firmly in place by Trunks, the boy's hair had spiked and was now a golden yellow, pure power seemed to radiate from his frame as he smirked at Bakugo, his eyes were now a cold blue, seemingly glaring through him
"Doesn't matter if you do or not," Trunks drawled, his voice deeper and without the taunting lilt he usually had, "This fight is over."
You can all yell at me, i've taken much too long to update this, and other stories, it's gotten harder to find the motivation to sit down and update them; but slowly and steadily I will work on it.
I hope you guys liked this chapter, and I know i've said this a lot but hopefully i'll be able to update quickly, if not, I will eventually get back to it!
I'm also planning on posting more on my Facebook page, though i'm not sure what all to post there, if anyone has any suggestions feel free to let me know!
Until then,
Peace out.
