"Let's call it a day here!"
Uraraka groaned in relief as she finally collapsed onto the floor, the turtle shell she wore tilting slightly as she no longer tried to keep it balanced, standing beside his wife as he floated down from his own training, Krillin helped her to her feet.
"You're a real go-getter," He said "when Izumi said you were serious about this training I didn't know she meant you were gonna tackle it like she does!"
"I-huff-have to catch up." Uraraka gasped between gulps of air, "Izumi's got seven years on all of us! And Bakugo is already fighting guys like Trunks after only a few weeks! I can't fall behind!"
"That's something I can understand." Krillin laughed with a beaming grin, "you've never met the likes of Goku, Vegeta and Hisashi Midoriya, but those three were monsters! I used to be on par with Goku in terms of strength, next thing I knew he was pulling off things I couldn't even dream of!" his smile turned into a bit of a frown, "but I wanted to ask you, what's your motivation for being a hero?"
Uraraka paused, looking at her new mentor, "I..um…well, i'm in it for the money." she said sheepishly, "you see, my parents have a construction company, but things have been slow lately…and My parents work hard…but I want them to live easier lives, so I want to be a hero to get them that…and-and after seeing Izumi and Bakugo risk it all just to take on those villains at the USJ…then Bakugo's whole fight with Trunks-I just can't scrape by while they're giving it their all!"
Krillin grinned, "what do you think 18, you think she can handle upping the training?" he asked his wife, who regarded Uraraka for a bit before nodding.
"She's got a lot of potential, so I say we amp it up, the Sports Festival is only a few weeks away after all." She said, "lets see just how far she can push herself."
"Agreed, so get that turtle shell back on kid, we got work to do!"
"Yes sir!"

Hagakure collapsed under a tree, her clothes soaked in sweat and her breathing was rapid and shallow.
"Stand up and slow your breathing, it helps." Tien ordered as he landed beside her, crossing his arms, "your response time is getting better, but you're letting yourself get distracted too easily."
"I'm sorry, it's hard." She whined, getting back to her feet, "but I can keep going!" she said, determination burning in his eyes.
Tien scoffed, smiling a bit, "I like that Tenacity kid, let's see if you can handle this speed!"

Yamcha hummed as he watched Ojiro struggle to carry a boulder up a mountain, casually walking beside him, "you've got a lot of strength for someone with a tail quirk." he said casually.
"I wasn't going to get far on my tail alone." Ojiro huffed, forcing himself to continue forward, "I had to strengthen my body so I could even hope of keeping up with everyone else!"
"You'll need to do more than strengthen it if you want to even dream of fighting alongside bruisers like Bakugo and Midoriya." Yamcha said, putting his arms behind his head, "you're gonna have to break it, over and over again, until you can't take it anymore, then you break it again, you think you can do it?"
"I know I can!" Ojiro shouted as he forced himself further, seeing the next rise on the hill where Yamcha told him to stop, but he didn't, he got to the next rise, then the next before he collapsed, his chest heaving.
"That's exactly the kind of drive you gotta have, kid!" Yamcha cheered.

Bakugo grunted as he forced himself to dodge blasts of lasers through 170x gravity, he couldn't acclimate himself to this level like he had before, Trunks had thrown him in at 125 and had steadily raised the level as he worked.
"You got another two hours, by the time you're done you'll be at 210, and i'll be adding another ten drones." Trunks said through the intercom.
"Fucking bring it on!" Bakugo snarled, bouncing between the walls as he tried his best to turn the blasters off with soft, quick jabs, only to be forced to fall back before he could get hit.
Trunks watched his progress with a small frown from a viewing room, Goten right beside him, sitting cross-legged on the floor, "he's slowing down."
"He has been running this for about four hours now," Goten said conversationally, "I'd be tired too."
"Not good enough," Trunks muttered, increasing to to 185 and unleashing two more drones, he could see Bakugo's flight stutter before he was able match his needs to keep himself uninjured, "pretty sure Izumi can pulverize him in two seconds, I got two weeks to get him as close to her level as I can."
"I think they're closer in strength than you think." Goten said, jumping to his feet. "But Izumi's gone to train with Piccolo, so he's gonna need all the help he can get."
"Are…are they missing school for this?" Trunks asked in confusion.
"Both hero courses are technically out to train, and the other classes have been given a lighter work load to train as well." Goten said peppily, "seems like everyone got a fire lit under their ass when they saw you two fight, from what Aizawa says, they're only convening every friday to go over the homework the teachers sent them home with, office hours for those who need the teachers help."
"Heh, almost inspiring isn't it?" Trunks hummed, crossing his arms, "this sports festival is gonna be interesting."

Mineta huffed and puffed as he ran around the athletic field, Kaminari, Sero and Class 1-B's Awase, Tsuburaba and Kaibara were right beside him.
"You think we'll be able to do anything against these guys?" Awase asked as they went, referring to the ones they knew who were training with Ki.
"There's always a hope." Sero muttered, looking over to where Tsuyu and Jirou were doing yoga with Komori, Yui and Setsuna in the middle of the field, a few gen ed girls joining them. "I think we should count ourselves lucky that it's only Bakugo and Midoriya."
"Uraraka and Hagakure have been working with those two pros from the USJ, " Mineta panted as they finished their lap and collapsed by the water hose.
"How do you know that?" Kaibara asked while Tsuburaba guzzled down water.
"I hide in the girls' locker room from time to time, they get a lot of gossip."
"Couldn't you get kicked out for that?" Awase asked in slight disgust.
"The teachers let the girls hurt him anyway they can." Kaminari said conversationally, spraying a water bottle down his neck to cool off, "Mina gets real creative with her acid."
"Midoriya punted him into low orbit once," Sero said reminiscently, "that was a fun day."
"...you 1A guys are fucking crazy." Awase muttered, shaking his head.
"That's fair, now let's go do some quirk training!"
They all took off, heading for Ground Beta, "it's not just you 1A guys you know," Tsuburaba said as they went, "Kendo is training just like Midoriya and the others, got Tetsutetsu roped in as well."
"Are you kidding me? Even more people like Midoriya?" Mineta wailed, "we'll never stand out!"

Jirou ran through the obstacle course once again, using her jacks to help pull her along, or destroy projectiles that got a little too close for comfort, up in the operating room Tsuyu and Mina watched as she worked, "I say we do course Alpha again once Kyoka hits the best time." Mina said, watching the timer. A full minute ahead of the last best time. "This ones getting too easy."
"I think you're right, Kero." Tsuyu croaked, "but I wanna see if all three of us can run through training scenario Epsilon."
Mina blinked, "wow you are serious about this." she said.
"If Midoriya can do the things she can, then so can we." Tsuyu said firmly.
"I'm in!" Kyoka said as she strolled in, having finished the course while the two had been talking. "We're not getting left behind."
"Alright! Girl power!" Mina cheered, making her friends chuckle.

Momo ducked and weaved between combat droids, they were thin, and modeled after basic humans, a single lens making up their faceplates. Currently they all had some sort of hand held weapon, two had spears, another had tonfas, and the last had a katana.
"Thirty seconds Miss!" a butler said from nearby, casually watching a stopwatch.
Momo dodged a swipe from the Katana and quickly created a shield to catch a spear before she rolled under the second spear to bring a newly created staff across one of the spear carriers faceplates, sending it crashing to the ground, deactivated, from there she abandoned both her shield and staff and pulled a beanbag shotgun from out of her back, blasting the Katana droid to bits before sweeping the legs out from the spear droids, somersaulting over them she dropped two globs of C4 onto their chests, the small timers attached quickly counting down from five and exploding, ending the exercise as her butler stopped the watch.
"How was that Heathcliff?" Momo asked, wiping her brow with a towel.
"ten seconds over Miss, you took a little longer than needed formulating your plan." He stepped over the wrecked robots and called forth the repair droids, who immediately began putting them back together.
Momo groaned, "I can't think that fast while under attack." She huffed, sitting down in a nearby chair to drink some water.
"You're over thinking." Heathcliff chastised, walking over to her with a super high calorie protein bar, which she gratefully took, "split seconds decisions have never been your strong suit madam, you tend to overthink everything you do as you are meticulous, and wish to leave nothing to chance; however, this is slowing you down, dulling your reactions."
"But how can I win if I don't make the perfect plan?" she questioned as she ate, any sense of decorum out the window as she ravenously tore into the bar.
"I'm afraid Perfection is impossible, Miss, you'll have to go with the best plan that is also the fastest; lives are on the line after all."
"You're right…" she sighed, standing back up and looking at the newly built droids who were pulling new weapons, a mace, a baseball bat, a buck knife, a staff, and a bean bag handgun. "We'll need to give these droids a tune up by the end of the day."
"I already have the mechanics on standby madam." Heathcliff said promptly, "five minutes on the clock, don't focus on coming up with a plan, focus on reacting, begin!"

Kirishima roared as he slammed his fist into Sato's guard, reflexively blocking the retaliatory cross that Sato sank into his arm, the two had been wailing on each other for the better part of five hours, using an abandoned quarry for after hours training, in a nearby cave, Tokoyami was screaming as he tried to control dark shadow. Just outside of that Aoyama was forcing himself to fire his laser at abandoned rail cars while Koda screamed into the forest to extend his reach.
"We're gonna push ourselves further than they think we can go!" Kirishima shouted, slamming his head into Sato's, the two fighting to push the other back with just their foreheads, his arms and legs were wrapped in bloodied bandages, the fruits of his training with not only All-Might, but his friend and fellow muscle head, "we're gonna show them that we're just as manly as Midoriya and Bakugo!"
"That we're not side characters!" Sato roared, his fist coming up in a biting uppercut that sent Kirishima flying back into a tree, but Kirishima was quick to get back to his feet and charge again, shoulder checking Sato off into a deeper part of the quarry.

"Are you sure he's ready?"
Tensei sighed as he looked at his mother, Temari Iida, "yes mom, he's ready…and even if he wasn't, it's his choice, he's already got the necessary upgrades to make it viable, and he's got the drive to make it work."
"He only has two weeks, is that enough time to heal?" She fretted.
"You know it is," Tensei said reassuringly, rubbing her shoulders calmingly as they heard Tenya's muffled scream in the bathroom.
"Maybe we should go in there, he-'
"-is doing this on his own." Tensei interrupted gently, "he can do this."
"...will you be at the sports festival? Just in case?"
"Yes." Tensei looked up as Tenya opened the bathroom, limping out to them, his calves wrapped in bloody gauze.
"Alright, step ones out, step two starts in three days when you've healed enough, you'll be running your engines without your mufflers, it's gonna hurt, but by the end-'
"-by the end you'll be able to overclock your engines for longer.' Temari finished for her eldest, staring her youngest in the eyes, "you do us proud Tenya, please don't hurt yourself."
"I won't mother, but I can't be left behind." Tenya said passionately, looking at his brother, "can we start earlier?"
"Sadly no," Tensei said, 'so go ahead and get some rest."

Shoto breathed out a cloud of icy vapor, barely dragging himself through the forest and towards a nearby hot spring.
He could use his fire, and he had been to slowly bring warmth back to his limbs, but he had pushed his quirk too far, and he wasn't sure he was supposed to be dunking himself into hot water like this, but the relief was almost instant when his body dunked into the steaming pool.
"You keep pushing yourself like that and you'll kill yourself.'
Shoto looked up quickly, surprised to find Shoji lumbering out of the forest, one tentacled mouth extended.
"Saw those glaciers you were making, figured I'd come check on you." he said, "you really pushed yourself."
"Did you just come to lecture me? If so, please leave."
"Was just checking up on you, i've been checking on everyone who's been training out in the wilderness. My own training to increase my range, if you want me to leave then I'll go." with that Shoji turned away, walking back towards the trees.
"Wait." Todoroki called, standing up out of the water, the loss of heat made his body ache as the cold began to set in once more, "have you seen Midoriya?"
Shoji nodded slowly, "she's in the mountains to the east of Mustafu, intense training, I don't think anyone but Bakugo could probably keep up with her."
Todoroki's eyes narrowed, "I think I have a good chance." he muttered.
"Your ice is strong, Todoroki, but I don't know if it'll be able to match up to those two, Uraraka, Hagakure and Ojiro are also training intensely, who's to say they won't surpass us as well." he began walking away, "nothing's set in stone, not until the day of the sports festival has passed, who knows, maybe you'll trounce them all wit your quirk alone…but don't underestimate them Todoroki."

Aizawa watched as his class slowly limped into the room on friday morning, fifteen minutes before the final bell, every single one had some type of patch or gauze covering training wounds. Iida was gritting his teeth as he limped to his chair while Uraraka dragged her feet behind her, weighed down by her new weighted clothes. He assumed Hagakure was asleep in her chair, he couldn't tell one way or the other.
Mineta, Kaminari and Sero looked dead on their feet, with Kaminari sparking just a bit. Jirou Tsuyu and Mina were resting their heads on their desks, he knew for sure these three were asleep, but they still had four minutes until the final bell rang, Tokoyami was shaking slightly, flinching any time Dark shadow peaked out to whisper apologies-the two must have really been pushing their training, he'll have to inform hound dog-while Kirishima and Sato looked like they would collapse if a stiff breeze blew through.
Aoyama was absent, according to his family he'd pushed his quirk too far and was currently bedridden, unable to move, Ojiro was likewise missing, laid up in the infirmary because Present Mic found him collapsed on the steps of the school in the early morning, arms legs and tail covered in gauze, blood slowly staining his knuckles and shins.
Todoroki was pale, his limbs shaky and cold vapors were escaping his mouth every now and then, obvious signs of quirk over use, Bakugo was fairing no better, angrily clenching his fists in an attempt to ignore the pain spiking through his forearms.
The only ones who looked in semi-decent shape were Midoriya, Shoji, Momo and Kota, though Midoriya too was wrapped in gauze, she was too cheerful to really let it affect her. Momo simply looked a little underweight and Shoji only seemed to be dozing just a bit; Kota was his usual timid and shy self, only there was a thick scarf around his neck and steaming cup of Chamomile tea in his hands.
The bell rang and everyone brought their heads up, some wiping sleep from their eyes while others grimaced in discomfort.
"Todays a short day, as you all know." Aizawa droned, looking them all over, "you've all turned in your weekly homework, now's the time to ask for any help before we go over a serious matter."
No one said anything, they'd all been studying just as hard as they'd been training, and all felt at least semi-confident in their work.
"Alright, now, onto the next order of business." he reached under the table and threw something at Bakugo, who couldn't move his hands in time to catch the plushy pillow that slapped his face. "You're all over worked, Ojiro is in the Infirmary because of it, and Aoyama couldn't even get out of bed; so the rest of today is a self-care day, if any of you refuse then you'll be knocked out by Midnight for a mandatory nap."
"...are you serious?" Shoto asked incredulously, his voice as shaky as his body, "we don't have time for this-" he started to stand up, only to immediately fall forward as a purple mist surrounded him.
"Well there's one going to Recovery Girl." Midnight chuckled as she walked in, looking at everyone, "before I drag this naughty one away-is there anyone who wants my quirks help to take a nap?"
"I'm down." Jirou mumbled wearily, raising her hand, "i've been in so much pain from that stupid training Scenario Epsilon."
"Pain free sleep sounds amazing right now." Uraraka almost cried, while Iida pushed his glasses up, making them flash.
"Hagakure hasn't woken up, I worry she may need the infirmary as well." Iida said, then grimaced, "I would also like some help sleeping as well.
"Do we have to relax?" Midoriya whined, "there's so much training…to…do…" she yawned as she too face planted into the ground, snoring quietly, Bakugo immediately tried to blast his way across the room and out the window, only for a whip to lash around his neck and drag him down.
"So that's four for the infirmary and three wanting help sleeping." Midnight hummed with joy, dragging the three strongest in their class across the ground, Bakugo was still awake, fighting drowsiness and the strong coils of her whip, his sharp teeth gnawing at the tough leather. Iida, Uraraka, and Iida began to fall asleep at their desks, slowly curling up on the ground with Aizawa's emergency pillows as they did, "you all have a relaxing time!"
Kaminari watched Midnight drag his classmates away, then sighed, "Fuck it, I got Disney movies on my laptop if anyone wants to half ass watch one before we fall asleep."
"I can't even muster the strength to get out of my desk." Kirishima said, his smile still plastered on his face, Sato didn't even hesitate to let his head fall, immediately asleep, "if someone can put my pillow on the ground, I'll be able to just fall on it."
"How about we just help you down." Momo sweatdropped, staring at Mineta and Sero who were already asleep against Shoji's back, Tsuyu and Mina had joined Iida and Uraraka, forming a small cuddle and Kota had coaxed Tokoyami to shelter between himself and Shoji's otherside, the two comforting their friend, "why not let us train today Mr. Aizawa?" Momo asked her teacher as he climbed into his sleeping bag.
"You've all trained yourselves to exhaustion, to force you to go further is to risk you hurting yourselves, one day off won't hurt." he grunted, "Now shut up, it's nap time."
Momo blinked, then smiled as she settled beside Jirou, covering her best friend with a blanket before pulling out a few energy bars, welcoming Kaminari who set his laptop on her lap and almost immediately started falling asleep against her shoulder.
One day of rest wouldn't hurt.
