Chapter 4

Mt. Justice, 2000hrs, March 22th

In the Dream

"Uncle J'onn, where are we?" questioned M'gann as she took in the surroundings. Unlike the palace room that Dick saw, this place was a quiet magical place. Both M'gann and Martian Manhunter were dressed into a different attire. M'gann was wearing a light blue dress that had beautiful water designs on it. It looked like it was made by the fairies themselves. It wasn't fancy, but it wasn't boring either. Martian Manhunter was wearing a simple pair of pants with a shirt made out of the finest linens.

"Hi," a mysterious figure said. Letting out a short shriek, M'gann turned around to see a small, looks like a mushroom, thing, "Welcome to the Moors." The figure said happily.

"The Moors?" Martian Manhunter asked skeptically

"Yeah. It's the home of all fairies."

"Um, have you seen a boy with large, hawk-like wings fly through here." Miss Martian asked in her nicest voice. Instead of a response, the little fairy let out a high pitched squeal before disappearing in the bushes. His head then popped back out, "Are you coming or not?" He asked excitedly.

"Come M'gann, the sooner we find Dick the sooner we can return." commanded Martian Manhunter. After following the little fairy, the two Martians finally stopped in front of a large lagoon with a palace in the center. "The answers you seek will be in the Books of Prophecy, but you must hurry, it won't be long till Queen Ingrith and King Klarion will sense your presence here."

"Wait, King Klarion?" asked Miss Martian as she raised a eyebrow.

"I'm sorry, I've said to much." The small fairy then ran off.

Flying over to the palace, the Martains began looking the entrance. As Miss Martian was looking, she saw that there was an open window on the second level. "Uncle J'onn, I've found a way in." M'gann reached out telepathically. As M'gann waited for her uncle, she watched in wonder at the beauty of the Moors. The bioluminescent plants surrounding the water's edges. Lily pads floated in the water, while the water fairies danced on the water. Wallerbogs, fairies that are short and stubby with a trunk, throwing mud at each other. Pixies sleeping in the flowers surrounding the lagoon. As the fairies went on doing there usual routines, M'gann kept on thinking as to why Klarion would want to destroy this beautiful land. Just before M'gann could join in the fun, her uncle appeared.

"M'gann, let us go in." Flying up to the balcony, they saw the flowers that were winding up the building.

"They are so beautiful." exclaimed M'gann

"They are indeed beautiful, but we need to focus on the task at hand, which is saving Robin."

"Yes Uncle."

As they reached the balcony, the Martians carefully walked into the palace. As the walked in, they saw that the room they walked into was a bedroom that would be fit for a king. The interior was breathtaking. There were satin bedsheets. The covers were made out of the finest linens. The floors were made out of the most breathtaking wood. As if it was meant to be a rug, moss covered most of the floor. There were chairs with velvet cushions in the corner, along with a nightgown. A canopy was overhanging the bed. The pillows were made out of the softest feathers. There was a closet that was made out of mahogany with a golden outline.

"This is the prettiest thing I have ever seen." M'gann whispered.

"M'gann stay focused. We need to find the Books of Prophecy, before anyone notices that we are here."

"Too late for that Idea." a voice muttered, coming from the ceiling another voice kept going, "You would think that invaders of the mind would be much more wise." "Well mind as well show ourselves." Flying down from the ceiling, Martian Manhunter and Miss Martian two pixies stood in front of them.

"Well no need to be rude." The one, dressed in a long pink dress and had beautiful brown locks, said in a stern voice.

"Now Knotgrass, I'm sure that they were just shocked, no need to take it offensively." The other fairy, dressed in a cute short dandelion looking dress aand had white and boucy hair, said in a kind and compassionate tone.

"We did not mean to be rude, we were just surprised. That's all." M'gann justified.

"You see, they were just surprised." the second fairy said once again, but all she got in response was a huff, "Please do not mind Knotgrass. She is a little disturbed ever since King Klarion took over. Anyway, I am Thistlewit. I am a pixie and the guardian of the Books of Prophecy and the Books of History, but since you are not looking for the Books of History, I'll leave those alone for now. And my friend, over here, is Knotgrass. Like I said she has been a little disturbed ever since that tyrant took over."

"It is nice to meet you Thistlewit." M'gann returned, "Now, if you don't mind me asking, why do you refer Klarion, 'King Klarion'?"

"If you follow me, I can explain." Thistlewit replied in a sad tone.

Pulling his niece over, Martian Mahunter whispered into M'gann's ear, "M'gann, I must leave. It's causing to much strain on Robin's mind to have two mind-readers in his head. If you want I can send in the team to replace me, but I cannot stay."

"Alright, but be quick please. It makes me uneasy knowing that I'm the only one here." With a nod, Martian Manhunter exited Robin's mind.

Out of the dreamworld

When Manhunter opned his eyes, he saw that the team and League were able to get a handle on the vines.

"Manhunter, were you able to help Robin?" Batman seemed like he had never moved from his spot on the bed.

"No Batman, but we are getting close to enveiling some answers. Unfortunately, I couldn't stay. But the Team will be going in."

"Wait, why are we going?" questioned Wally, who was icing his arm, since he got hit in the face.

"Because Robin is used to you. And M'gann is already in there."

"Fine," the rest of the team agreed. As they started to get into comfortable postions, Martian Manhunter started to prepare to send them in.

"Are you ready?" Maritan Manhunter asked the team.

"Heck yeah," replied Wally

"Then here we go."

In the Dreamworld

When the team got there, Artemis, Connor, Kaldur, and Wally instanly saw that they were inside a palace. The next thing they saw was a very familiar face. "Oh you guys are here," she squealed. Looking at the Martian, Wally then let out a wolf whistle, "Wow M'gann, you look gorgeous."

"Not to bad yourself." She giggled. Immediately looking at themselves, the the boys saw that they were black as night pants along with different colored shirts with jackets. Meanwhile, Artemis's hair was running down her back, she was wearing a dark blue dress. It was like they were dressed like the princesses in fairytales mixed with a little outdoorsy look.

"Why the hell are dressed like this?" asked Artemis as she grabbed one of the boy's jacket to try to cover up

"Because they wanted you to actually start looking a princess, instead of a woodsmen." Wally remarked.

"Actually, we want you to look like you live here." replied Thistlewit

"Everyone this is Thistlewit." M'gann introduced, " Thistlewit, these are my friends, Artemis, Wally, Connor, adn Kaldur. She will be helping us learn about the prophecies here."

"Well if everyone is done here, let me show you the Books of Prophecies."

Following Thistlewit, the team soon arrived to a large room full of books. "This is incredible." gasped Kaldur.

"Thank you, Kaldur. We do try our best keeping everything in order but it is hard, especially with King Klarion."

Choking on his food, Wally croaked out, "King Klarion?"

"Baywatch, where did you get that?" scolded Artemis.

"Nevermind that. What do you mean 'King Klarion'?"

Thistlewit then brough out a book and gestured for everyone to sit down, "King Klarion is a powerful man, along with Queen Ingrith. It happened a few hundred years ago. When Queen Ingrith arrived, the fairies and I all thought that we were hallucinating. She was supposed to be dead. Only fairies are immortal, unless, or course, you kill us. She said that she found a new ally. She said that he brought her back to life. That's how we met Klarion. The Dark Fae tried to stop him, even the great Maleficent tried to stop him. But Maleficent along with most of her kind perished. But with her dying breathe, she recited a prophecy. " opening the book, Thistlewit blew on its pages to reveal a cloud of dust. "Come closer," on the book's pages, there was a great mural that was shown. "The prophecy states that, a descendant from the great phoenix will rise from the dust, and on the day of falling stars, he will conquer the great evil that has taken over the Moors. Only then will the rest of the Dark Fae shall come out of hiding. And only then shall there will great rejoicing in the Moors."

"Wait, does this mean that Robin will be King of the Moors." Connor asked, opening his mouth for the first time since they had got there.

"Yes. You're friend robin is the last descendant of the phoenix. If you want further information then you must seek out Borra. But as for right now, you must save the future king. King Klarion has his mind trapped in the Dark Mountain. Luckily for you, all you need to do is retrieve him. And once you do get out of here. Here is a map. Try to get out as fast as you can, it not quite time for the fight yet."

"Thank you we will get Robin." replied Kaldur. Thistlewit watched as they went towards the thundering mountain. As they traveled in silence, the team were able to see what else the Moors had. It wasn't until they were close to the ruins of the castle that Kid Flash opened his mouth, "I can't believe that we are saving the future king of the Moors."

"Yeah. It's hard to believe that Robin will be the king. He's only sixteen." muttered Artemis.

"Alright, there is no guards and Thistlewit said that it is not time to fight yet. So when we enter, we will find Robin, then Miss M will get us out of this dream. Do not engage with anyone, we will also stay together. Am I clear?" Kaldur asked in a firm tone

With everyone in agreement, the team went into the ruins in search of Robin.

"Rob?" KF whispered yelled.

"K-KF?" a voice whispered loud enough for the team to hear. Following the voice, they found their bird chained to the wall and bleeding. The boy's wings were covering most of his body, but the parts that wasn't covered had bits of blood on it.

"Ah, Dude! Are you okay?" Wally asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine, just tired." Dick mumbled back.

"Do not worry my friend, Miss Martian will get us out of here." Nodding his head towards M'gann, Kaldur and Connor unlatched the chains while M'gann got herself ready to transport the team out of the dream.

"Alright, everyone, are you ready?" M'gann asked. Getting the nod of approval, M'gann transported them.

Mt. Justice, 0900hrs, March 23th

Waking up, the rest of the team found themselves lying on the couches in the living room.

"What the hell happened?" Artemis groaned as she started to message her shoulder.

"We were in Rob's dreamworld." Wally answered.

"Remember what Thistlewit said? She said that Robin will have to face Klarion again." M'gann shrieked in a nervous tone.

"Then we must be ready for it." Kaldur said in a determined tone, "But for now, we should make sure that Robin is alright."

I'm sorry if this chapter was a little boring, but I wanted to give the Moors a little more attention. Hopefully, you understood this chapter, Please review. In the next chapter, Borra will appear.
