It all begin with a sight of the immesurable sea, nothing's going on. When suddenly... *WHOOSH!* an Atlas airship came out of no where circling around the giant robot, and if you wonder what's the giant robot doing here. That is no ordinary robot, that is one of the Atlesian robot that was called "Colossus", and the one who's controlling it was commander Cordovin herself, as for the airship...
*BANG! BANG!* Lucia who's actually inside the airship was open fire at Colossus as Tanya provide cover fire, Oscar was simply stand there to provide overwatch. And the one who was in the pilot seat was Maria controlling the airship.
"Damn it!" - Lucia cursed as she take cover. "Ace! Have you locate where Blake is?!" - Lucia ask through her earpiece. At that time, Ace who was riding his bike into the woods...
"Working on it! Should be reach her any moments. Keep holding Cordovin off!" - Ace exclaimed
"*Sigh* Man, how can it turns like this?" - Lucia wondered as she reloading her rifle.
"Don't know, but right now we have to make sure that everyone get out of here in one piece!" - Tanya said as she firing her bow.
On the cliffside where JNR and Raul was in, Nora and Raul is also focus firing at Colossus as well. But Colossus has activate some kind of shield that protect it from the attack.
"Motherf.." - Raul cursed. That's when Colossus charging up its cannon arm and fire rock Dust blast at them. Luckily they're all manage to avoid it, including Jaune.
"Cordo just activated shields!" - Jaune said through his earpiece.
"I saw that. We need to find whatever's generating it." - Oscar replied. Then it changes to Ruby and Weiss who was standing in the small ice piece that Weiss has created.
"You know, in video games, the weak spot's usually on the back of the giant boss!" - Ruby theorized.
"Ruby, this isn't a game!" - Weiss snapped.
"You know what, that might work. Master Qrow?" - Lucia ask through her earpiece. That's when Qrow who was in bird form fly through the clouds. Soon he change back to his human form, took out his Harbinger in scythe form and grapple on the robot.
"Gah! what was that?!" - Cordovin exclaimed.
"Until the shield's down, we're gonna have to get up close and personal with this thing." - Qrow said as he firing at the scratch he just made. The robot's hand start to reach at him, he notice that and transform into a bird to escape from it grasp.
"That's easier said than done!" - Ren said.
"Me and Weiss are on it!' - Ruby said. Weiss then stab her Myrtenaster to the water, create a stream of ice spike that hit the leg of Colossus, cause it almost fall. As Lucia aiming her rifle at Colossus, an idea came out of her mind.
"Wait, that's it. We can.." - Unfortunately that's when Colossus aiming it cannon arm at Ruby and Weiss.
"RUBY, GET OUT!" - Lucia shouted. But Colossus has fire a bunch of missile at where they are which create a huge splash. Luckily, Weiss has summon her ice hornet the "Queen Lancer" to save her and Ruby. Lucia sigh in relief when she saw them.
"That was close, if only my li'l bro is here then..." - Lucia thought as she look over the woods. Meanwhile, Ace was still riding his way to find Blake. But...
"What in the..." *SCREECH!!* he pull a sudden stop, before him was 4 Beowolf stand in his way, and another 4 come out from the other sides.
"Ah bugger!" - Ace groaned as he set his bike down. He walk toward the pack of 8 hungry Beowolves. Without hesitate, he activate Tendo Orb to summon the Celestial Riser in his hand.
"I don't have time for this." - Ace said, then he insert the Orb into the Riser cause it to brightening.
Few hours earlier, Saphron's house, 11:30pm...
Everyone including Saphron, her son Adrian and Terra was gather around the table, as for where they were, Ace don't want this plan got leaked so they have to get inside the bunker where Terra use to store a few of her old stuff.
"Um, Ace?" - Weiss asked.
"Yeah?"
"Are we really gonna doing this? Hijack an airship from them?" - Weiss asked.
"We do, why?" - Ace asked.
"You know why. This is the Atlesian military we are talking about, which means strength in number, advance equipment, vehicles and heavy armors. You do realize that, didn't you?" - Qrow ask sternly.
"Of course i do, master. You do know that my pop who resurrect me used to work there, so i know how advance their kingdom are." - Ace said.
"And you plan to rob one of their ship, if this thing going South.."
"Uncle, i want to hear him out." - Ruby interrupted.
"Look, Ruby.."
"I want to hear him out! I know you're trying to protect us, that you're afraid we can't do it, but right now, I don't really care what you think!" - Ruby snapped which earn a shock expression from her uncle.
"Just because you don't have an idea, doesn't mean we're out of options! Oz hasn't been here to tell us what to do, but we still managed to get this far anyway. We've been in bad situations before, and we don't need an adult to come save us or tell us what to do. We just did it our way! And I say we do it our way. And if you think you can keep up with us 'kids'... we'd be happy to have you." - Ruby smiled. Ace also smile from her determination.
"Now the question is, who's stay for this plan: 'Aye'? or 'Nay'?" - Ace asked.
Ruby: Aye.
Weiss:... Aye.
Blake: Aye.
Yang: *sigh* Aye.
Jaune: Aye.
Nora: Aye!
Ren: Aye...
Oscar: Aye.
Maria: Aye.

Qrow was shocked, there wasn't even a single 'Nay'. Beside himself, but he know even if he said it, the conclusion is still the same.
"The 'Aye's have it. The plan is a go!" - Ace announced, he pull out a map of Argus then set it on the table.
"The plan is quite simple, what we need first is a bait and a person who can fly the airship. Speaking of 'bait'." - Ace said, then eyed on Weiss.
"Really?" - Weiss narrowed her eyes.
"Well, the commander already make it clear that no one but you can put a step on the ship after all. So yeah, all you need to do is pull an act, pretending that you'll go home." - Ace stated.
"About who's the pilot? You can count on me, young man. I might not look like it, but I work with one of those before. I wasn't know as "The Best Huntress" for nothing." - Maria said, earn a deadpan look from Weiss.
"We'll see, ms. Calavera. Alright, we got a bait and a pilot, now what we need is to get out of their radars. Mrs. Cotta?" - Ace suggested.
"Okay." - Terra adjust her glasses. "The only way to do that is to disconnect the radar box. However, it must be done properly. Otherwise, it will take out comms for the rest of the city." - Terra stated. That is when Blake raise her hand.
"Yes, Blake?" - Ace asked.
"I can handle that part. Back in my days with the White Fang i used to disabled Atlas security system." - Blake suggested.
"That's great, however as you know the radar tower will also have guards around it. You might wanna bring someone with you in case something goes wrong." - Ace explained.
"I'll do that." - Yang said, earns a nod from him.
"As for the rest of the plan. Sis! Tanya! you two will arrive here at the rear of the woods to await the ship cuz you two will have the job to protect the ship. Master Qrow, Ruby, Raul, Jaune, Nora, Ren, Oscar and me will arrive at the cliffside to do the same. Blake and Yang, once you've disabled the radar, get your arses to the cliffside as soon as possible." - Ace said as he point the direction of the destination and each person's part.
"Clear?" - Ace asked.
"Crystal." - Blake and Yang answered.
"Saphron, I want you and Adrian to escort Weiss tomorrow. And ms Calavera? You're about the size of Weiss's suitcase, aren't you?" - Ace asked.
"Oh boy..." - Maria groaned.
"Trust me, it will worth it." - Ace assured.
"And what if those two guards suspect me?" - Weiss asked.
"That's why Saphron and Adrian will escort you." - Ace turn his attention towards Adrian. He lowered his head to talk with him.
"Adry, i heard from your mother that you're a really, like really clever boy. So can you do uncle Ace a li'l favor? It simple, all you need to do is to cry as loud as possible to distract those guards in case they're touching aunt Weiss's suitcase. I know i might ask too much, but that's why... Ta-da!" - Ace pull out a rainbow theme lollipop, which Adrian stare it in awe.
"So, what do you say?" - Ace asked, offer the lollipop to Adrian which he smirk then lightly touch his hand. The little boy nod his head.
"It's a deal then." - Ace smiled as he pinky swear with Adrian.
Back to the present time...
Drake kick the Beowolf in the side then ended it life with a heel kick right in the head. Once he finish, he put his hands on his knee to catch his breath.
"*Pant* Phew! man, that almost took forever..." - Drake groaned, turns out the Beowolf he just killed was the last one as around him was a corpses of them.
*Tweet! Tweet!*
"Good thing i sent Helios to locate her for me, at least i'll know where she is now." - Drake thought as Helios landed on his palm.
"Did you find her?" - Drake asked.
*Tweet!* Helios then show a holographic screen from it eyes, revealing Blake is struggling against Adam.
"Tsk, where?" - Drake asked. Then Helios show the map which pinpoint the location of where Blake is. Which was right ahead, he wasn't much further from her, then Drake turns to his bike.
"Stay here, wait for my go." - Drake said.
*Vroomm!* the bike... somehow answered.
"I won't be long." - Drake said as he ready, set then sprinting with a dashing speed as if he's "The Flash" or something.
Then it changes to Blake who was lied on the ground look at Adam who take off his blindfold, revealing an SDC brand scar on his left eye.
"You didn't leave scars, you just left me alone." - Adam said.
"I.." Adam then wield his sword "Wilt" backward, prepare to ended Blake.
"So tell me... How does it feel to be al.."
"Wooooaaarghhhh!!" - Suddenly, Drake dash out from the woods. Unfortunately he didn't get to hit the brakes in time as he comically floating in the air for a few seconds.
"Huh? Wha.. Woaahh!!" - Drake confused until gravity kicks in *Crash!!* he landed right at Adam, cause him to drop his weapon, and somehow knock him unconscious.
"Urgh, man i didn't hit the brakes fast enough." - Drake groan as he get up.
"Ace?" - Blake asked.
"Hey, you ok?" - Drake pull Blake on her feet.
"Yeah, i'm fine. Also you just make a quick work on him." - Blake remind that Drake has somehow knock Adam out from his landing.
"He'll be fine. At least now we can get back, things just gone South as soon as we couldn't contact you. We better get back fast if we wanted to proceed to Atlas." - Drake said.
"You sure you don't want to say something with him?" - Blake asked. Drake stood there for a bit then approach Adam who's still unconscious, he lean his head to his ear, whisper something before turn back to Blake.
"That'll do for now." - Drake said. Then an motorcycle engine sound can be heard.
"Blake! Where are you?!" - Turns out that was Yang and her Bumblebee.
"I'm down here!" - Blake call out.
"Thank Oum you're ok. Ace? You're here too?" - Yang ask as she noticed Drake.
"Yeah, i was also worried when your kitty girlfriend here is going dark." - Drake said, earns an eyeroll from Yang. Then Yang notice Adam lied on the ground.
"Is that Adam? No wonder i can't contact you. Is he dead?" - Yang asked.
"Nah, he just need a li'l shuteye." - Drake joked. Then Yang heard a signal from her earpiece.
"Yang! Have you found Blake?!" - Ruby asked.
"Yeah, i've found her. Ace is also here too." - Yang replied.
"That's good, now get back here immediately! We got a situation going on!" - Lucia exclaimed.
"Is it Cordovin?" - Yang asked.
"JUST GET THE FUCK BACK HERE FIRST! ASK QUESTION LATER!!" - Lucia snapped, causing Yang to hurriedly take out her earpiece otherwise the earpiece's ringing sound might shattered her eardrum.
"... Yup, sound serious. Now i know how Blake feels whenever Ruby use that dog whistle." (*) - Yang muttered before put her earpiece back on.
"What's going on?" - Drake asked.
"We should head back to the cliffside immediately, something bad is going on and is bigger than Cordovin herself." - Yang explained, earns a nod from Drake and Blake. A few minutes later, they manage to arrive at the cliffside and get inside the airship, however...
"So, what's going on? I heard you said that we have a situation." - Yang asked.
"There!" - Lucia point to the direction of Argus base, the base was in danger because of a giant Grimm that was about to attack. This Grimm is a four legged reptile type, it has a head which resemble to goblin shark with 3 eyes at both side, a Dimetrodon's fin on it back and a tail that has a 'U' shape at the end.
"What th.. is that a giant Grimm?!" - Yang ask in shock.
"Yes... and we just ruined the only thing capable of stopping it..." - Weiss said. Suddenly, the ship radio speak up.
"All units, be advised: Ahuizolt has submerged but is still on approach. Preparing hard-light shields, over!" - Everyone on the ship was shocked when they heard that.
"Weeelll~ shit. We fucked up big time." - Raul complained.
"I'm sorry, it's my fault." - Blake facepalmed.
"Don't be, this wasn't on you." - Yang assured.
"But.."
"You're safe, that's all that matter." - Ruby smiled.
"I suppose i have to be the bad guy and say it, getting the lamp to Atlas is still our top priority, and right now we have the perfect opportunity to head straight for it. We may not get another chance like this." - Maria said.
"No way!" - Yang snapped.
"We can't leave, not like this." - Weiss added.
"It's like you said, a Huntress is supposed to protect others to the bitter end." - Blake remind Maria.
"And it's not just the Huntresses's responsibilities, Huntsmans as well." - Drake said. Maria silenced for a bit.
"Well then, what do we do?" - Maria asked.
"Simple, just land me there." - Drake answered.
"Wait, what?" - Oscar exclaimed.
"What?! Are you gonna handle that thing directly like that, are you insane?!" - Qrow snapped.
"Look, i know that you had some special gift upon you but still, fighting something that big.." - Blake said uncertainly.
That's when something bad has happened, the barrier system has been activated, Argus base was also sending ships to open fire at the Ahuizolt. But Ahuizolt use it U shape tail to firing a stream of lightning at one of the barrier pole, completely destroyed the barrier system.
"It tore straight through!" - Oscar exclaim in shock.
"All squadrons, fall back to evacuation procedures. Disengage Ahuizolt! I repeat, disengage! Over!" - The radio speak up.
From the mainland of Argus, every citizens including Saphron, Adrian, Terra and Charlotte can only look in shock as the city defense system has been destroyed.
"No! Not again!" - Charlotte exclaimed then dramatically kneel in depressed.
From the airship...
"Bugger! We don't have time to argue, at least we have to kill this thing before think about going forward. Ms. Calavera! Bring me somewhere else near here so i can make my way to the base myself. Ruby! As soon as i leave, let them know that we're bringing help. Weiss! How many ice Dust round do you have now?" - Drake asked. Weiss checking her Myrtenaster's cylinder.
"Plenty, why?" - Weiss asked.
"I might fell into the water while fighting that thing, so figure i'll need some platform to keep myself dried." - Drake explained. Then Maria landed the ship at the rear of the woods which only a few steps away from the mainland.
"Remember, make sure to let'em know that i was coming. Last thing we want is to be labeled as criminal." - Drake reminded.
"We did stole the ship, didn't we?" - Yang asked sarcastically.
"You know what they say? 'Necessity knows no law'." - Drake said.
"Right." - Yang eyerolled.
"Anyway, catch you later lads! If i still make it in one piece, that's it." - Drake said before starting to moving into the city. As soon as Drake leave, Maria control the ship flying up. Ruby approach near her and pick up the radio.
"Air control, this is Manta 5-1. Are you actived, over?" - Ruby speak through the radio.
Air control: "Who is this? Identity yourself!"
Ruby: "I'm a Huntress. Me and my team just sending some back up, he is on his way now."
Air control: "Manta 5-1, your ship is currently flagged as hostile. You will receive no support, over." - Ruby pinch her nosebridge as she heard that.
Ruby: "Are you even listening? I repeat: Me and my team just sending some help, he should be there at any moments now so be prepared, over. And also, you don't have to." - Then Ruby hanged the radio.
"Wow, nice comeback." - Maria praise Ruby.
"I already make myself clear, what more do they want?" - Ruby complained.
"Obviously because we stole one of their.." - Before Weiss could finish her sentence.
Air control: "Manta 5-1, this is Air control. We just spotted an unidentified personnel on the airfield of the base, some kind of male humanoid with blue color armor from head to toe. Is that the 'help' that you just sent us?"
"That must be him!" - Ruby said hopefully. Maria control the ship toward the base so they can have a closer look. And just as expect, Drake was standing right at the airfield. "Yes!" - Ruby cheered before pick up the radio.
Ruby: "Affirmative, Air control. That's our guy."
At that time, Cordovin was controlling the Colossus to get back as fast as possible. Until she got a call from Ruby.
"What?!" - Cordovin snapped.
"Commander, this is Ruby. I knew you still upset about we stealing the airship but please listen, we just sent some backup to help you deal with that beast." - Ruby said.
"Backup? What kind of backup?! You don't even have authority for that!" - Cordovin snapped.
"It's not an army, commander. It just one man, but i.. no, we promise that he'll help you save the city." - Ruby assured. Cordovin was silenced for a moment before ask Ruby "Can i trust this 'help'?".
"You can, i don't mean to brag but after all: he might be the hero we need in time like this." - Ruby said.
"... Copy that, i'll tell my mens to stand down. You better deliver that promise excatly as you said." - Cordovin said.
"Thank you, commander." - Ruby said. Then she contact Drake through her earpiece. "Ace, i just talk to commander Cordovin. We won't have to worry about having a gun in our back anymore, but in exchange you have to take that thing down."
"With pleasure, and thank you." - Drake thanked. He slowly walk toward then stop at the end of the airfield, Ahuizolt was also standing before him.
"Hungry?" - Drake asked. Ahuizolt answer with a growl.
"I'll take that as a 'yes'. But guess what? You're really unfortunate for dare coming here and make a fuss." - Drake taunts, this time Ahuizolt let out a loud roar. Drake only scoff then readied his fighting pose.
"So be it. If you wish for death? Then come at me!" - Drake shouted. Ahuizolt lunge at him but earns a kick in the face from him instead, then the monster use it tail to hit Drake, but Drake has roll away before it landed on him. Then he throw a bunch of Cyclonium Star at it's face, unfortunately it didn't affect the Grimm, only make it angrier. Ahuizolt roar then use one of it front leg to smash Drake which he's also dodge it, Ahuizolt open it's mouth and try to eat him alive but Drake has stopped it by holding it pair of long fang then savagely broke it. In pain and really angry, it use it's tail to shoot lightning at him but Drake cartwheeling dodge it so the lightning only hit the nearby airship. Then he uppercut kicking Ahuizolt in the chin cause it to fall back. Soon he realize he can't fight where he is anymore since the base looks like it will collapse at any moments.
"Missed, but each of it strike is causing damage, at this rate the whole base is not gonna hold. I have to make it stay away from here." - Drake thought, then he shout: "Weiss, slide!".
"You want me to create a slide?" - Weiss ask through her earpiece.
"Do it!" - Drake demanded. Weiss point her Myrtenaster at the base, soon the ice slide is formed as it connected from the edge of the airfield. Drake throw another Cyclonium Star at Ahuizolt to caught it attention then sliding the ice slide that Weiss has created. "Platform!" - Drake shouted, then a platform of ice is line up as Drake ice skating on it.
"Over here, ya ugly wanker!" - Drake taunts the Ahuizolt as it chasing him.
"He's tried to get the Grimm away from the base so it won't cause any more damages, smart move." - Qrow impressed.
"Yeah but how is he gonna fight that thing now? What if that thing won't be dumb enough to chasing him forever?" - Yang questioned. And as if she just somehow jinxed it, Ahuizolt decide to took a dive after a few minutes of running.
"Uh oh..." - Yang said in fear.
"Ace! That monster is decide to swim toward you!" - Ruby shout through her earpiece. Ahuizolt rose up then chomping the ice platform behind Drake.
"Oh fucking criminy!" - Drake cursed.
"Get out of there, Ace!" - Jaune call out. As Drake keep running away from it, Ahuizolt keep rose up and bite off the ice platform until it got closer to him. Finally the Grimm decide to jump out of the water, mouth opened to eat the hero alive, suddenly it got hit by a Dust blast make it fell back into the water. Drake look forward to see it was Colossus that save his life.
"If that is how you did your job then you're good as dead. Luckily that you lure that thing right in my sight, you can thank me for that later." Cordovin said through her speaker.
"I was just tried to get it away from the city as far as possible." - Drake reasoned.
"And I admired you for that, you put the others safety before you." - Cordovin said before smirking, but that smile soon faded as she realize that the Grimm hasn't gone down for good.
"Look out!" - Cordovin called out, but it's too late. Ahuizolt use it tail to shoot lightning at Drake, and Drake got struck by it's attack.
"Aaaaaargh!!" - Drake scream in pain then collapse.
"ACE!" - Ruby call out in worry.
"No!" - Qrow cried out.
"Damn it!" - Cordovin then control the Colossus to charge right at Ahuizolt, holding it down. But the fin from the back of it start to glowing, then it use it tail which filled with lightning spark whipping at Colossus. Each whip carrying a stream of a thousand volt electricity not only hurting Cordovin, but also damaging the robot's system.
"Missile unit, error."
"Cooling system, error."
"Dust cannon unit, error."
"Argh! Come on!" - Cordovin snapped.
"She can't take it much longer! Each of the strike from that monster's tail will slowly destroy the robot and her!" - Maria, Cordovin's rival worry for her for the first time.
"Ace! Wake up! Please!" - Ruby call out desperately. As if her calling has been answered, Drake moving the fingers of his hand. Cordovin's Colossus was almost reach it limit, at this rate the robot's system will be shut down and she'll go down with it. As Ahuizolt was about to land a strike with it's tail, a wind-made ninja star came out of nowhere and slice the U part of the Grimm's tail make it roar in pain, force it to let Colossus go. Cordovin turn back to see it was Drake that save her life. And he's still fine.
"You can thank me later, commander." - Drake said. And Cordovin cannot be happier than that. The same goes to Ruby and the others.
"Hey, mind if I borrow your head for a bit?" - Drake asked.
"Wait, what?"
"Blake! Rope!" - Drake shouted. Blake heard that so she switch her Gambol Shroud into Kusarigama mode then throw it at Drake who simply caught it.
"Ms. Calavera! Bring me close to the Colossus!" - Drake demanded.
"On it!" - Maria driving the airship toward Colossus's direction. Drake keep holding on to Gambol Shroud then let go once it close enough, he landed on top of the Colossus's head.
"What are you doing?" - Cordovin asked.
"Don't worry, commander. You're fine at right where you standing." - Drake said.
"What?"
"What I want to say that it's highnoon after all, this is the time when the sun were at it highest point. And we are at the middle of the sea as well, what would happen if the water stay underneath the sun for so long?" - Drake asked. Ruby and the others was also overheard the conversation, and Weiss was the one who got the idea.
"It's vapor! The water will steam up and turn into vapor!" - Weiss said.
"Yeah, and how's that gonna help?" - Yang asked.
"Well, because that's what my special technique needed! Vapor!" - Drake said as the steam around him has been inhaled inside his mask and armor, he raise his left leg up, suddenly a blade grow out from his ankle, then he one-leg jump from the Colossus, flew up into the sky before diving down. Ahuizolt roar, it stand up on both feet then firing a bunch of lightning ball from it's mouth. But Drake was able to avoid all of it.
"Execute art: Sky Dragon's Steam Claw!!" - Drake exclaimed as he raise his blade equipped leg up then landed it right on top of the Grimm head before bounce back and spider man style landing at the Colossus head. A moment of silence until...
*Crack!* a crack mark reveal on top of Ahuizolt head.
Cordovin: Huh?!
The crack on top of it head soon spreading to the rest of it's body, The Grimm can only roar in agony when a lot of steams came out from the crack wound. Drake then slowly make a throat cutting sign. *BOOM!* The Grimm explode into a smithereens, leaving only it's head floating at the sea surface.
"Hope you enjoy the Sauna, freak show." - Drake said.
"He..." - Qrow impressed. Until his niece hug him and finish his sentence.
"He did it!" - Ruby cheered. And soon everyone was hollered in joyful. Even the Argus Atlesian base personnel was watching through Colossus's camera view also couldn't help but do the same. Hell, some of them even cried in joy. Same goes to the citizens, Charlotte sigh in relief as Saphron, Adrian and Terra share a heartwarming smile. Back to Drake...
"So uh, what now, commander? Do you.." - Cordovin was silence, but soon smirk and said. "I suppose we can bend the rules a bit. Plus, I don't think anyone would notice if one more ship went missing in my lengthy reports." - Those words put a smile on Drake's face.
"Thank you commander, and sorry for the trouble we've cause." - Drake said. Then he waving at the airship where his friends were at. And this time they can enjoy the flight in peace.
"I must say, like, that part where you use the vapor as a advantage and stuff. That was really smart." - Weiss complimented.
"You sound impressed." - Ace smirked.
"Well, because i thought that you are a muscle brain type or something." - Weiss said.
"The perk of having a father who's a scientist. He had to make sure that me and sis must known science as well as the other natural subjects." - Ace explained.
"Boooriiiing~" both Yang and Nora jeered.
"Hush! you two!" - Weiss said.
