Chapter 06
The Winx girls were still comforting the depressed Mirta as they heard a scream.
Musa asks. "What was that?"
Mirta looked up in worry and she just knew. "Drake!"
The Winx turns to the Illusion Fairy and was about to ask how she would know that. But they are suddenly distracted by the sound of an explosion. Soon, Knut comes falling to the ground. Landing in front of the girls.
"Knut!" Mirta kneels next to him. "Are you alright?"
The ogre sits up out of fright and shouts, "The Dragon's out!"
Bursting through the side of the building is a large silver dragon.
The Dragon lets out a mighty roar.
"Ready, Girls!?" Bloom shouts. "Magic Winx!" the six girls change into their fairy forms.
Stella then shouts. "Let's get him!"
"Wait! Don't…" Mirta tries to stop them, but they were too worried about the dragon to listen.
Musa shouts, "Bass Boost!" and the Music Fairy summons large speakers on both sides of the Dragon's head and beats ring into the beast's ears.
The Dragon shakes its head and quickly spins around to ram its tail into the speakers causing them to vanish. The Dragon then turns to Musa and releases a roar that wasn't just loud but sends out a wave of sound at the Music Fairy.
Musa is forced into the air. She was unable to regain her composure as the fairy did not see that she was heading towards the ground. However, she was caught by someone.
"Are you alright?" the voice was familiar to the fairy, but the tone did not match. Looking up, she sees the last person she'd ever thought would help. "Hi, I'm Darcy!" the Trix smiles.
"You!?" Musa pushes herself out of the way and the two end up hovering in the air. "What are you doing here, Darcy?" she glares at the witch.
The witch lets out a gasp. "You know me!?" she then takes the Sound Fairy's hands and smiles brightly, confusing the said fairy. "Please tell me what I was like. I'll take anything at this—" the two are interrupted by a roar followed by a torrent of flames heading towards them.
Without thinking, Darcy grabs Musa with intent of using her own body to protect the fairy. But nothing happened. Peeking over, the two sees that a green-haired witch had thrown up a barrier.
"Self-discovery later, ugly dragon now!" Lucy says.
Darcy slumps down. "Sorry, Lulu."
That causes Lucy to snap. "I told you not to call me that!"
The flames died down and the three take this as a chance to run and hide.
"First," Lucy turns to Darcy. "Why didn't you summon a shield? Using your own body was just stupid!"
The Illusion Witch shrugs. "I didn't know I could do that. I only just figured out how to fly yesterday."
"Whatever!" the Green Witch now turns to Musa. "Now second. What's with the dragon and how do we take care of it?"
"It just showed up out of nowhere," the fairy replied.
"Ooh! Ooh!" Darcy raises her hand. "We could create an illusion of a lady dragon and lure it away," she then stops to think. "Is it a guy dragon? That plan might not work if it isn't," the witch turns to the fairy.
Musa just gives a deadpanned look. "I didn't check," then she turns to Lucy. "What's wrong with her?"
The Witch of Illusions got excited. "It's kinda of interesting. You see I had my memory…" the witch is stopped by the ground rumbling.
"Life story later!" Lucy snapped as she flies off along with Musa and Darcy with the witch pouting.
"Not much of a life story. It's barely a week's worth."
"Solar Wind!" Stella shouts sending waves of energy towards the Dragon. The Dragon managed to dodge the attack and quickly flew towards the Sun Fairy. "Yikes!" the blonde starts fleeing. The Beast's claws were mere inches away as Tecna's voice is heard.
"Fire Wall!" digitized light forms around the Dragon in a series of lines, trapping it in a sphere. As a response the Dragon starts ramming into the sphere and it starts cracking. It then releases a powerful burst of fire, causing it to shatter completely.
The Dragon searches for the Solarian Princess. As soon as it spots her, the beast goes to fly after the fairy, only to have something wrapped around one of its hind legs. Looking back, it sees a large tree root has burst out of the ground. The Dragon breathes fire at it to burn it off, but more of the roots soon come towards it. Pulling the Dragon towards the ground. A large piece even managed to entangle itself around the muzzle to prevent any more flames.
Flora is near the ground using her magic to control the overgrown roots. "I'm not sure how much longer I can keep this up." the Nature Fairy struggles.
"I got this!" Aisha shouts as she flies around the Dragon, using her Morphix magic to reinforce the roots. Especially where they're starting to break.
As soon as the Dragon touched the ground, another Fire Wall is placed around it as well as a set of magic speakers blaring music. But that would not stop the beast as it starts ramming into the barrier.
"Let's finish this," Bloom says as she heads towards the Dragon.
Mirta shouts out of worry. "Wait!" she tries to run towards the Dragon but is stopped by Knut.
"Fire Dragon!" the redhead shouts as a dragon made of flames leaves her body and makes its way to the Dragon.
The Dragon shatters the barrier and turns to glare at the Fire Dragon. The spell suddenly just disappears.
"What!?" the Dragon Flame Fairy is stumped as she has never seen that happen before.
The Dragon continues to struggle out of its confinement. As soon as one of its claws was free it used them to tear off the roots around its muzzle. The beast turns to the speakers and blasts them away with fire. It then continues to rise, ripping the roots off from the ground. The Dragon was using so much force that even the earth was being brought up with it.
With one last mighty heft, the Dragon finally frees itself, sending debrief everywhere. With the Winx either dodging or setting up shields. Darcy just clings to Lucy who had raised a barrier.
Several large debriefs are heading towards Mirta and Knut. The Ogre is quick to shield the magicless fairy. But they're confused as nothing happened. Looking up, the two find the Dragon above them, shaking off the rocks and roots that its body was used to prevent them from hitting the fairy and ogre.
The Dragon lowers its head down to them as Mirta steps forward. Knut grabs the girl to prevent her from getting any closer. This resulted in the Beast growling at the ogre.
"It's okay," Mirta softly speaks. Even though she's facing the Dragon, the reassurance was directed at the ogre. As the fairy steps closer to the Dragon, Knut lets her go. "Everything is fine," she starts petting the Dragon while humming. As the Dragon leans into her touch, the Winx and the two witches approach them.
The Illusion Witch turns to the rest of Winx who are surprised to see her as she just waves. "Hi! I'm Darcy."
Lucy just reaches for the hand and lowers it. "Not now!"
"See?" the former witch smiles. "You would never hurt me, Drake."
The girls let out a gasp.
"Drake? Drake?" Darcy scratches her head. "Oh! Isn't he the reason why I'm a bit loony?"
The Green Witch replies, "You were kinda out of whack before meeting him."
Stella smirks and comments. "So, beauty tamed the beast?"
That causes Mirta to blush and the Dragon lets out a low moan. "I'm alright, Drake. My friends are just teasing me," she reassures, calming the Dragon down.
The Dragon's eyes were closing as it released a small sigh. Suddenly, its ears perk up as the Beast's eyes shot open. Raising away from Mirta and looking into the distance to spot an airship. All the Dragon saw was red as its eyes narrow in hatred and releases a powerful roar. It takes a step forward but feels a tug on its tail. Lifting the tail up, the Dragon spots a certain yellow ogre hanging on the tip.
"H-hey, Little Buddy," Knut sheepishly smiles. As a response, the Dragon flicks its tail, sending the ogre flying before flapping its wings to take off.
Mirta shouts, "Drake!" but the Dragon couldn't hear her.
"Guess it's a good thing I called in reinforcements," Stella boasts.
"You…" Mirta says above a whisper. "You called the Specialists?"
"Well, yeah. It seemed like the best thing to do at the time. And it looks like I was right."
The magicless fairy grabs the blonde by the shoulders. "It's the worst thing you could have done!"
"Why?" Stella pushes her away. "Does your boyfriend have something against them."
Mirta ignores the boyfriend part as there's a more pressing issue, "Not the Specialists. Just Riven."
Musa steps up. "What does he have to do with it?"
Mirta looks the Music Fairy in the eyes. "How do you think Drake got that scar?"
Musa worriedly turns to the direction of the Dragon and the airship. "Riven."

The Specialists are in the airship on their way to Alfea to take care of a certain dragon problem.
"I told you it was a bad idea to let that freak roam freely," Riven spats out.
Sky turns to glare at him. "Not now, Riven! Besides, it wasn't our call."
"I'm just saying that if everyone had listened to me, then we wouldn't be one our way to clean this mess."
"Uh, guys," Timmy speaks up and turns away from the radar. "We have a hostile incoming."
Sky gets up and approaches the spectacled boy. "Where?"
That's when Brandon who's at the wheel shouts. "It's in front of us!" he quickly turns the ship to avoid the oncoming silver dragon.
The Dragon turns back to the ship and releases a torrent of flames, hitting one of the engines.
"There's no way we can handle another hit like that," Brandon comments as he tries to keep the ship steady.
"Okay," Sky turns to his team. "Everyone to the Wind Riders. We'll abandon ship. Riven!" the prince turns to the dark purple haired boy. "You're the best here. Go ahead of us to evacuate the school while we lure it away."
Riven scoffs as he turns away. "I'd rather deal with the dragon."
As the ship went down, several Wind Riders left the hanger. First flying towards the Dragon to get its attention. They manage to dodge the attacks from the Beast before flying away.
At first, the Dragon's attention was fully on the group. But its eyes soon caught sight of a lone Wind Rider and pure hatred enters its mind.

"Stupid King and that stupid dragon," Riven grumbles. "Woah!" a blast of fire barely missed the Specialist. "What the!?" he turns his head to spot the dragon coming after him. "You've got to be kidding me?" he speeds up.
The Dragon's sight was on Riven, and the Beast wasn't going to let anybody get in its way. Lasers soon shot at the Dragon, angering it. Falling back, the Beast swipes at the Wind Riders. Knocking a couple into others, causing them to crash. The boys were luckily rescued by the Winx.
The Dragon then looks back ahead at Riven and speeds up while releasing more flames from its maw. One stray flame hit one of the Wind Rider's engines, sending it falling right in front of the school.
Riven gets up, only to notice the looming shadow over him. Looking up he finds the Dragon glaring down at him.

The rest of the Specialists along with Winx, two witches, and Mirta come running towards the Dragon with intent to rescue Riven.
The Dragon spots them and releases flames to create a wall of fire blocking their path.
"Riven!" Musa shouts as she sees her boyfriend getting pinned by one of the Dragon's claws. "What are we going to do?"
"Musa!" Mirta turns to the Music Fairy. "I need you to trust me and do exactly what I tell you."

Riven struggles to get free from the Dragon's grip. He stops moving as the Beast's head lowers itself right above him. Instead of opening its maw as the Specialist expected, the Dragon turns its head to show him its eye. It then runs a free claw along the scar. That's when Riven understood what's going on.
"An eye, for an eye."
Riven struggles increased as the Dragon's claw nears his face. The Beast lets out a series of grunts that seemingly sounds like laughing. Just as the claw was an inch away from the Specialist's face, singing is then heard.
The Dragon backs away as its pupils widen and ears folded back. The Beast's eyes desperately search for the source of the melody.
The Dragon leaves as it has forgotten about the Specialist. Following the tune, it leads him to the fountain where his eyes fall upon Mirta sitting on the edge with a magically conjured speaker enhancing her voice. It paid no mind to the shaky Musa who retreats away as the Dragon approaches the magicless fairy and the speaker vanishes.
Mirta stops as she looks at the Dragon who is face to face with her. She giggles at the sight of the adorable nature. "Hey, Drake. You calm yet?" the former witch starts petting him on the snout. She then gets an idea and takes out her phone. "How about a quick pic?" Mirta holds up the phone. "There will be a flash, so don't get startled. Say Magic Winx!" and she snaps a photo before putting the device away and starts singing again.
They are soon surrounded by the Winx, Specialists, and the two present witches.
"Aw!" Darcy coos. "How lovely. Hey, Lulu! How come something so terrifying can also be adorable?"
That annoys Lucy. "I don't know. And stop calling me Lulu!"
Riven soon joins them and gets hugged by his girlfriend.
"I'm so glad you're alright," Musa tightens her embrace. They are soon distracted by growling.
The Dragon's eyes meet Riven's. It goes to raise it head towards him, but soft gentle hands prevent it from doing so.
Mirta hums a sweet tune before saying. "Is the big bad Specialist bullying you again?" she talks sweetly to the Beast, that lets out a small groan as if to say yes.
"Hey, I—Ouch!" Riven goes to retort only to be stopped by Musa stomping on his foot.
"Don't worry about him," Mirta starts petting him again as she eyes everyone and soon notices several students and some teachers approaching them. "Hey, it's starting to get crowded here. How about we go somewhere quiet?"
The Dragon lifts its head as if to think and then smiles as an idea came to it. The Beast uses its teeth to grab the magicless fairy by the back of her vest and tosses her onto its back. With a mighty flap of its wings the Dragon Takes off flying, heading over the forest.
