Knights of Tal'Dorei

I

Meeting

Silence could be heard in space. That was until a sound of the ship could be heard exiting Ebon Hawk drifted after its exit and everyone within the cockpit held onto some to not throw them off balance. "Is everyone alright?" Revan asked.

"I'm fine," Bastila answered.

"Same here," Carth called out. Canderous, meanwhile, nodded his head.

"Dizzy answer: Oh, I'm fine, Master. It sure has been a while since we last hyperjumped." His Assassin Droid responded.

Most of the party was practically the same answer, which brought the Former Sith Lord some relief. He suddenly shifted his attention to the front as he saw something that was of interest. "We may need to look at the front?"

Everyone wondered why he requested them to do so until they looked in front of the Ebon Hawk's cockpit. There was a planet that didn't have any spaceship around its orbit, which suggested that it may have been a primitive planet. Only two moons, one white and one red, were orbiting around its space.

"That's our destination?" Carth spoke. "It doesn't seem important. And it looks like its inhabitants don't have any space technology."

For Bastila, she felt the Force coming from within, "I can feel the Force from within this planet, but yet it's different. As if something dark is here, but light is also here…"

"Then that's where our destination is," Jolee went straight to the answer.

Zaabar made some cautious growls, which Mission nodded in agreement. "I get you, Big Z. They may be primitive, but we shouldn't underestimate them."

"Do you think it's safe to land?" Juhani asked in caution.

Carth could answer. "The planet doesn't have any sensors. So we're free to land as long as we don't garner any attention."

"Then we should land where the Force is guiding us." Revan spoke, concentrating on a certain part of the planet. He eventually opened his eyes as he looked at the pilot. "There." He pointed to one of the contients.

"Got it," The Republic soldier said, putting the coordinates where they could land.

The Ebon Hawk moved forward where they could land onto the planet to find this Sith Lord. Seems like everything was going according to plan. It could have gone haywire if they were immediately spotted.

SOUTHERN EMON, TAL'DOREI

Night loomed over Emon, the capital of the Republic of Tal'Dorei. Everyone was either asleep or too occupied within the Tavern as none of them spotted a metallic ship landing down. The guards only saw glimpses of it, but they assumed that it was some sort of new airship from a newly established Company. So they decided to leave it alone.

However, a brown bear clad in armour saw the Ebon Hawk landing near a keep. Normally this would be nothing, but Trinket hadn't seen any Airships that could land that easily. So being the loyal faithful companion became alerted as he went on all four and rushed within the building.

Within the building, the bear scratched his claws against the doors. Its screeching was loud enough to wake up his master. The door opened to reveal a tan-skinned female elf rubbing her eyes where she immediately saw Trinket hopping his paws. "Ugh…Trinket! What are you doing at this hour of the night?!"

"What's with the noise? You're ruining my beauty sleep." Vex'ahlia saw her Gnome Bard companion, Scanlan Shorthalt opening his doors and still in his Pajamas. He immediately spotted the bear and saw the look on his face. "Oh, hey there bear. Got any reason for waking us up?"

"Us?" Vex saw all of Vox Machina waking entering the Hallway after exiting their rooms after hearing their ruckus.

"This better be important for waking my dear sister up." Vax'ildan demanded as he saw the bear tugging his twin sister.

Right before he could get a response, Vex felt a screeching headache within her head. She put one hand to the side to ease the pain. It eventually died down but she realised Trinket wasn't kidding. "We got company. And they're formidable."

"Where?" Percy asked with his gun in hand.

His question came when Trinket continued to tuck Vex's hand. "Well, lead on, boy." The bear just did before coming to a halt. He turned around to look at her and she came to the realisation that they cannot fight these enemies in their pajamas. Except for Grog.

Well, looks like they're going to change to their usual attire to confront these adversaries.

-Scene Change-

THE EBON HAWK, OUTSKIRTS OF EMON

The sound of footsteps rang within the ramp as Mission and Zaalbar were unloading crates as Revan and the rest were looking outside at this world.

"So where do we start? I mean we can't just simply go in a straight line attack like we did for the Star Forge," Carth said as he took some binoculars out and looked around.

Revan would have the best guess to where they can look. "I suggest one of us can gather from the city we happened to come by."

"Suggestion: May I be the one to gather some intel from these meatbags?" HK-47 requested.

"As long as you don't kill anyone, HK. We don't need to have odds with the locals,"Jolee warned, knowing that this droid's bloodlust was going to get a lot of attention.

"Then I volunteer to gather intel," Bastila spoke up. "It's going to be less of a chance to get us into trouble."

"Then we shall wait here," The Former Sith Lord spoke, agreeing with his lover's plan. "We'll watch over the ship while you're gathering information. We have to be sure that no–"

"We got movement!"

Everyone heard Canderous speak in an alert tone. Everyone held onto their weapons and all of a sudden, the four Jedi felt the Force coming from within the forest.

Before any of them can think, an arrow flew directly at them…and hit T3 within its eye, slightly damaging it in the process and causing it to screech in pain. Fortunately, it was still functional as the shot didn't cause any significant damage.

"T3!" The Twi'lek shouted, running to the Utility Droid's side.

HK wasted no time in aiming his blaster rifle to where it came from. He fired a single shot and although he missed, he could hear one of these intruders yelping. "Woah! What's with that bolt?!" A meatbag with their ego inflated shouted.

This time, his sights were more on point as the intruders got closer. Right before he gets to fire another shot, an armored bear tackled the droid into the ground. As what looked to be a giant purple hand appeared and tried to smash them but they all dodge out of the way.

Another arrow came and almost got Jolee if he didn't use his green lightsaber to cut the arrow into two. And everyone readied their weapons.

The three remaining jedis ignited their lightsabers. Revan wielding a blue and purple one, Bastilla's a double bladed one, and Juhani's blue one.

Carth and Canderous had their blasters readied up. Mission wielded a dual blaster pistol as she stayed at the Utility Droid's side while Zaalbar stood next to her with his Kashyyyk Crossbow.

All of them were staring at six unique looking people. Well, if you don't count the white haired human in a trench coat aiming his unique looking pistol at them.

Two were some sort of midgets with the male wielding a Lute while the female had some sort of astral mace and shield that fits for her.

The three elves seemed to be related. One had a bow in her hands, the other two daggers that were held in reverse grip and finally the other female in a green outfit who held a staff.

Lastly was a giant who wore nothing but boots, loincloth and gauntlet holding a battleaxe.

Both parties only stared at one another, anticipating one to start firing. None of them would hope to fight one another, only looking for answers.

"You got a lot of nerve to shoot T3!" Mission sharply told the other party.

The one who fired the shot just shrugged her shoulders. "Aw, don't need to worry about that, Darlin'. Your unique-looking Aeormaton is doing quite well despite its damaged eye." Vex Spoke, seeing how stable T3 is.

'Aeormaton?' The Ebon Hawk Crew wondered why this unique-looking feminine human referred to their utility droid as that.

"Reminder: Master, I think we have bigger issues in hand." HK pointed out, his arms being pinned down by the bear who can rip him into pieces in the matter of seconds.

Neither of them were willing to pull the trigger. They wanted to know what either parties were dealing with so that it wouldn't be a total bloodbath. It was eventually broken when one of the Jedi spoke. "Who are all of you?" Revan demanded, pointing both his lightsaber at them.

Seeing his weapon cause the other group's giant to look at it with interest. "Uh, is he threatening us with a laser toothpick?"

The white-haired male with glasses shook his head. "It isn't Grog. It's some sort of weapon that can easily cut us into pieces if we were to do something reckless." He came to that conclusion ever since he saw that bald dark-skinned man cutting Vex's arrows with ease.

"I'll call the feline's one," Vex looked at Juhani's lightsaber.

"Then I'll call dibs on the purple and blue one," Her twin brother looked at Revan's pair of lightsabers.

"You better leave one for me," Percy reminded the twins.

"Go with the pretty lady with the double-bladed yellow one. Or the blue chick's pair of guns." Scanlan suggested, winking at both Bastila and Mission, making the former to slightly shriek at his flirtatious words. Revan, of course, glared at the small one for making moves with his lover.

"Keep running your mouth. You'll allow me to fire my blaster at you." Canderous threatened the Bard as he aimed his weapon on his forehead.

"Then you better be careful." Pike warned the Mandalorian as she raised her astral shield in front of her and readied her astral mace.

It looks like both parties were ready to engage. Especially since the Ebon Hawk had two casualties at their side. Well, more like HK being pinned by an animal while T3 had an arrow lodged within his optic

"Uh…guys?" Keyleth suddenly spoke.

"WHAT?!" Most of her party members looked at her.

"I think we should take this one out instead of fighting." She knew she was playing into her dumb luck. But she didn't want to fight them. Her gut feeling was telling her that these people are not ordinary adventurers. They seemed to be really experienced and it wouldn't be wise to engage them.

She didn't want blood to spill…right after they killed a dragon.

Everyone just stood there for a second before Revan deactivated his blades and slowly put one away. He still had his purple one in hand in case either of them retaliated. "Talk before anything can go wrong?" He demanded as he wanted the situation to de-escalate.

Carth was taken back by his leader's decision. "Are you serious, right now!? We're talking to enemies who have already damaged one droid and another is going to be shredded by an animal."

"Threatening Warning: If this furry meatbag doesn't let go, then I will blow myself up with it." HK warned as he looked at Trinket while holding out a frag grenade in hand.

"Um…that's disturbing and you shouldn't go for that." The half-Druid spoke, disturbed at how bloodthirsty that Aeormaton is to the point it's willing to commit suicide.

The droid turned to her. "Retort: It isn't, pointy ears metabag. Just as long as I get to see blood and meatbag bits from this furry meatbag before I perish."

The rest of Vox Machina just lowered their weapons. All of them were dumbfounded by this unique looking Aeormaton. Percy cleared his throat before he turned to the droid's group. "Just how often does he say the word 'Meatbag'?"

Keyleth can agree with her teammate to a certain extent. "Haven't you checked on his…psyche?"

The crew just turned their heads to Revan as he would have the answer which Revan just shrugged, "I may have gone too far with him."

"In what way and give me a reason for not shooting that?" Vex wanted to know as she aimed an arrow at the Droid.

It was the Assassin's turn to respond, not completely bothered by Vex's threat. "Answer: He programmed me into using the term 'Meatbag', another pointy eared Meatbag, after he found it to be amusing despite his pupil's frustration with that term."

"Um, can you stop referring to that word? That's not a good thing to refer to us?" Keyleth requested, having to give a half-answer after hearing this droid speak.

To her request, Bastila only shook her head in disappointment. "Unfortunately, he is incapable of not saying that word."

Everyone seemed to be busy as a certain utility droid, despite still having an arrow lodged in its eye, strolled up to Vex. Said elf looked down and saw T3 looking at her with its damaged eye. "The fuck do you-"

She didn't have time to finish as T3 brought out one of its arms and then…

*ZAAAAAAAAAP*

"ARGH! THE ACTUAL FUCK WAS THAT FOR?!" The female archer shouted as her hair became static and her body was still feeling the effects of electricity. Mission, Grog and Scanlan began laughing their asses off upon seeing this.

"DWOOOOO! DWOOOO!" It beeped very aggressively before it made motion to zap Vex again.

"It looks like T3 wanted a backpack for damaging its eye." The Twi'lek teen responded, satisfied at what she saw.

"Yeah. I want to feel it too," The Giant Barbarian wanted to go through the same thing.

This was certainly amusing to Jolee as he leaned over to Juhani. "You know. I never saw T3 that mad before."

"Yes." The Carthar Jedi nodded.

"Maybe I should do the same if that shorty is going to flirt with Bastila." Canderous spoke, eying the Bard with critical eyes.

Scanlan raised his hands to his face before making a pushing gesture. "Hey now. You can't exactly know how pretty she is." He gave Bastila a sly look, earning a death glare from Revan once again who was holding back from throwing the lightsaber towards his neck.

Percy could only shake his head before glancing at the horny gnome. "Do you think of everything aside from hitting with the ladies?"

The bard waved his hand in response. "C'mon. You know that it's my goal to bang every pretty lady within the realm." That earned him glares from the females of the other group.

Bastila just walked to Revan's side. Without him turning, which he didn't need to, she then said, "You know, I thought the Force was guiding us to the people who are supposedly helping us? But this…"

"I am aware of their unique quirks," Revan assured her.

Now that things have calmed down a bit, Pike decided to answer what was on everyone's minds. "Now is it good to introduce yourselves?"

"Only if you let the bear get off HK." Carth reminded them.

Despite feeling the shock, Vex had enough strength to call out her companion. "Trinket!" She whistled, allowed the bear to remove his paws at the Assassin Droid and went by her side.

"Relieved exclamation: Oh I have never been so free in my life against a four-legged , I want his fur as my rug carpet. " That made Zaalbar glare at him as he felt insulted by it.

Trinket also glared at the doors, but Vex placed a hand on top of the bear's head. "Easy. No need for any more tension."

Everyone was quiet for a moment before Keyleth began, "I'm… Keyleth?" She looked at her side and saw everyone looking at her. "C'mon. Just introduce yourselves. There is no harm in doing so."

The White-haired Gunslinger eased himself as he was the second. "Percival de Rolo. Or you can simply call me Percy."

The giant pointed to himself while having the small Paladin on his shoulder. "I'm Grog Strongjaw and the girl that I'm carrying is my best friend, Pike Trickfoot."

"Hi!" The gnome paladin introduced herself.

"Scanlan Shorthalt." The Bard introduces himself and winked at the ladies, earning him a deadly glare from Revan due to hitting on his lover for the third.

"And these two are twins, Vex'halia and Vax'ildan.. We just call them Vex and Vax." Percy concluded introducing his group. "Before you ask who is who, the Vex is the one who shot your Aeormaton and got electrocuted and Vax is the one in black attire." Now that they look at the Elf in black attire, they can't help but feel the sense of the Dark Side tingling within him. But by the looks of it, he doesn't seem to be harmful. "And what about you?"

This is where Revan decided to step in to do the introduction. "I'm Revan and these are my companions; Bastilla Shan, Carth Onasi, Canderous Ordo of Clan Ordo, Mission Vao, Zaalbar, Jolee Bindo, the Droid with its optics damaged is T3-M4 and the blood-hungry droid is HK-47." Well, they seemed to be a group of unique individuals and they seemed to be carrying some valuables with them. Especially with their unique-looking swords with their hues.

Now that the introductions are done, it is now the most important question. "So, mind telling us why you landed near our base?"

*YAWN*

Percy just pinched the bridge of his nose as he turned to look at the barbarian. "Did you really have to yawn at this moment?"

"Sorry. Been tired due to today's event." Grog apologised as he looked at the other group. "How about we continue this in the morning to get better acquainted?"

Scanlan felt the same despite the fact that he was almost shot. "Yeah, I feel too tired to talk today."

Everyone else felt the same and soon. Right before heading back to her rooms , Vex eyed Revan's group. "Trinket will wait by your airship tomorrow and he'll take you to our home. We'll discuss our conversation there." With that, she left to join up with the others.

With Revan's crew now alone, they were contemplating what had just happened. That group they stumbled upon didn't seem to be the typical rag of misfits. "We're going to talk to them, right?" Carth had the obvious feeling.

His leader nodded at his answer. "Yes, and we may have to reveal what we are and our intentions within the planet."

Jolee laughed upon hearing that. "To those people? Oh, I'd rather take my chances on a dumb rancor instead of those lot. They don't seem to be trustworthy."

"Especially the one who kept eying me," Bastila agreed. She was fortunate that the Force guided her not to be spiteful over trivial things such as being hit on.

Revan expected his group to not be fond of them. But, knowing the situation they are in, they didn't seem to have a choice. "Look, I am aware you don't like them. But they're the only contacts we have within this planet to find and eradicate this unknown Sith presence."

"True, and they seemed to be the only ones we know so far," Juhani said with slight hesitation

Mission wouldn't argue there. "Yeah, we'll stick with you. Big Z and I can check up on our damaged droids." She went up to T3 to pat its head before pulling the arrow out. "C'mon, T3. I'll go and repair you."

Revan looked back at where the group went as he tried to remember if during his time as Jedi and then sith lord he had ever been here. When nothing popped up in his memory Revan felt uncertain. For better or for ill this would be the begining of a strange new journey.

There you go. And that is the first time Revan and his party members have met Vox Machina. It sure went well.

Oh dear Bastila, you know you're going to get hit on Scanlan despite your boyfriend giving him multiple death stares.

Crimson Soldat: It is going to take as long as I want to make this story to be in character and lore. But given my past attempts in doing so, I decided to write other stories. Now with one that I am keen on writing, I'll attempt to do them justice. Especially in scenes that I cannot wait to write.

Jojobinks01: There's also the fact that if for some reason we may be going a bit OOC, we either A have something planned or B we may have gotten them wrong, so please DM us. And as always you are supporting our fanfic. So thank you.

We're both Legend of Vox Machina fans. And we need to get our homework done.

Next chapter is going to hit the balls of the narrative. And no pun intended if you know what happens in season 1 episode 3.

But what do you overall think of this chapter so far?

If you want anything to be seen within this story, or any character interactions, please, feel free to put them down. It would be really interesting to see what you may have for this story.

With that said, we'll see ya all in the next chapter!
