Chap 10

Haku Yuki

She sat quietly within the vast expanse of Naruto's subconscious, a realm between dreams and reality, bathed in an ethereal glow. The space felt infinite, stretching out endlessly in all directions, but it was not chaotic. It was eerily peaceful as if time itself had slowed to a gentle hum.

Here, in the depths of his mind, she could feel everything—the gentle ebb and flow of his chakra, the pulse of his emotions, and the weight of his memories.

Haku had done her best to create a calm and gentle environment for Naruto to rest in. She didn't want him to be consumed by the darkness that lurked within him, so she used the little power she had to gently guide him into a peaceful slumber, creating a soothing memory of his room in Konoha.

The familiar tatami mats, the small bed in the corner, the posters of ramen, and the messy piles of clothes scattered across the floor—it was all recreated with perfect detail. She watched as Naruto, who was lying on the bed, began to breathe more steadily, slipping into a deeper sleep.

"Rest well, Naruto-kun," Haku whispered, brushing a strand of hair from his forehead. "You've been through so much."

She sat beside him for a while, content to watch over him as he slept. The room she had created was warm and inviting, a haven where he could recover from the chaos of the outside world. It was strange, in a way—how she, a soul that had once belonged to someone Naruto had fought against, was now the one protecting him. But life, and death, had a way of bringing people together in unexpected ways.

As time passed, she could sense that he was beginning to stir. His chakra shifted slightly, signaling that he was about to wake up. She knew that she couldn't maintain the room's illusion forever.

Naruto Uzumaki

The grass beneath his feet felt strangely soft, almost like a cushion, and every step he took felt like walking on clouds. The sunlight was gentle, and the whole scene felt incredibly calm, like he was wrapped in a blanket of serenity.

*So warm*

*Mushy mushy*

*I must be dreaming*

Naruto woke up with a start, gasping for breath as if he had been holding it for too long. The dream had been so vivid—strange and unsettling—and his body still felt the lingering effects of whatever had happened.

"Haku… bunny ears… naked…," he mumbled, rubbing his face with both hands as he tried to shake off the lingering effects of the dream.

"Man, what the heck was that?!" he groaned, flopping back down onto his pillow, still trying to make sense of the bizarre vision that had just invaded his sleep.

*Yes I was right!*

He was lying on his futon, back in his apartment in Konoha. Sunlight filtered in through the window, casting long shadows across the floor, and for a moment, he thought everything was back to normal.

*Maybe the intense battle at the Land of Waves had just worn my mind out. *

*What a weird dream*

His eyes fluttered open fully, and he sat up slowly, rubbing the back of his head. He had no idea how long he'd been out or how he had gotten home, but something wasn't right. His thoughts were cloudy, and there was a strange sensation, almost like… something, or someone was with him.

Then, out of the corner of his eye, he noticed a figure—a soft silhouette bathed in light, sitting at the edge of his futon.

He blinked, his heart skipping a beat.

Sitting just a few feet away from him was none other than Haku Yuki, the person he had fought back on the bridge in the Land of Waves. But it wasn't quite the Haku he remembered. The figure in front of him was undeniably Haku—same delicate features, same soft, expressive eyes—but there was something different.

For one, he was she was sitting there completely… naked.

Naruto's mind went blank for a moment, his thoughts freezing in place as he stared, his mouth hanging open. His face turned a deep shade of crimson, and before he could even process what was happening,

"AHHH! H-H-HAKU?!"

Naruto stammered, frantically grabbing the blanket and pulling it over his face to hide his burning embarrassment. "W-Why are you… why are you—n-naked?!"

Haku, on the other hand, seemed surprisingly calm, almost serene, as if this situation didn't bother her in the slightest.

Her expression was gentle, with a small, knowing smile playing on her lips. She tilted her head slightly, her long black hair cascading over her shoulders like silk, and blinked at Naruto's over-the-top reaction.

"Naruto," she said softly, her voice as calm and soothing as ever. "You're awake."

Naruto, still blushing and trying to cover his face with the blanket, peeked through a small gap, his voice shaky. "Y-Yeah, but… why are you… why don't you have any clothes on?!"

She blinked, looking down at herself for a moment as if just now realizing her current state. She shrugged slightly, her demeanor still completely composed.

"I'm not sure, to be honest. I didn't have any clothes when I woke up here. I suppose it's because… well, I'm not really alive anymore."

That statement hit Naruto like a punch to the gut. His eyes widened as the memories came flooding back—Zabuza, the bridge, Haku throwing herself in front of Kakashi's attack to protect Zabuza. The battle had been brutal, and Haku had died.

"I was mourning you as the hill you know"

"W-Wait," Naruto said, slowly lowering the blanket, though his face was still bright red.

"How do I come back home?"

"Haku… you're… you're not…?"

She smiled gently, her eyes softening as she met his gaze. "No, Naruto. I'm not alive anymore. My body is gone, but my soul… well, it seems I'm here with you now."

He stared at her, dumbfounded. "But… how?"

"First we get out of here"

As she snapped a finger The room around them slowly began to fade, dissolving into shimmering particles of light that were pulled away into the void of Naruto's subconscious.

The walls disappeared first, followed by the floor and ceiling until nothing remained but the vast, endless expanse of his mind.

"Huh?" He mumbled groggily, rubbing his eyes. "What just happened? Where… where am I?"

She said softly. "I created a memory for you, to help you rest. But it's time for you to wake up now."

He sat up, looking around at the empty space that stretched out around him. He scratched his head, clearly confused by the sudden change in scenery. "A memory? So, this isn't… real?"

"No. We're still inside your mind, within the seal that binds me to you. I didn't want you to wake up in the darkness, so I created a safe space for you. But it's important that you know it's not real."

"So… you're a soul," Naruto said slowly, still not quite believing it.

Haku sighed softly, looking thoughtful for a moment before continuing. "I'm not entirely sure, but I think my soul was sealed inside you"

"Ahh and you don't need to worry about that giant fox he can't harm you anymore ok"

"AAAAAH"

"And… you're stuck in here with me?"

Haku sighed softly, looking thoughtful for a moment before continuing. "I'm not entirely sure, but I think my soul was sealed inside you, Naruto. All I remember is staring at you as the grave"

"You staring what?"

*Blushing*

"Either way, I'm here… and I don't have my own chakra anymore."

He blinked, trying to process what she was saying.

He vaguely remembered the intense surge of energy he had, the way something deep inside him had awakened, but he had no idea that it could have sealed someone's soul inside him. And Haku didn't have her own chakra anymore?

"So… you're a soul," Naruto said slowly, still not quite believing it. "And… you're stuck in here with me?"

She nodded, her expression calm and composed, though there was a hint of sadness in her eyes. "Yes, seem so. It seems I'm bound to you now, at least for the time being."

Naruto scratched the back of his head, feeling both confused and flustered. "Okay, but that doesn't explain why you're… y'know…" He gestured vaguely in her direction, trying to keep his eyes on her face and not anywhere else.

Haku giggled softly, a sound that was almost musical.

"I suppose I should be more concerned about that, shouldn't I?"

She tilted her head playfully, her smile widening just a bit.

"But then again, I'm already a soul, and you're the only one who can see me. Besides, you don't seem like the type to take advantage of a situation like this, Naruto-kun."

Naruto's face turned even redder, and he immediately waved his hands in front of him in a panic to cover his eyes.

"I-I'm not! I swear! I'm not a pervert!"

Haku chuckled, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "I believe you."

Naruto let out a sigh of relief, his shoulders relaxing a little, but the situation still felt surreal.

Still, he couldn't help but feel a strange sense of warmth in his chest as he looked at her.

Despite everything that had happened, despite the fact that she was supposed to be gone, she was here now. And somehow, that made him feel… happy. Relieved.

"But…" Naruto began, his voice softer now, "Why me? How can you here with me?"

Her expression softened, and for the first time, Naruto saw a flicker of sadness behind her eyes. She looked down at her hands, which rested gently in her lap, and spoke quietly.

"You were the last person to show me kindness before I died. You cared about me, even though we were supposed to be enemies. You treated me like a friend, and you made me realize that my life… had value. You gave me peace even after the end."

Naruto felt a lump form in his throat as he listened to her words. He remembered that moment on the bridge, the way she had spoken about her life, about how she had only wanted to be useful to Zabuza.

He had seen the sadness in her then, the loneliness that she carried.

Haku continued her voice barely above a whisper. "I guess, in a way, I've always felt connected to you. Even after I died, I think my soul… can't leave you. You gave me something I hadn't felt in a long time, Naruto-kun. You gave me hope."

His chest tightened, and he struggled to find the right words. "Imm…"

She looked up at him, her smile returning, though her eyes were still filled with that same quiet sadness. "I know it's strange, but I don't regret being here. Even if I don't live anymore, and even if I can't return to the living world… being with you doesn't feel so bad."

Naruto blinked, his heart racing for reasons he didn't fully understand. The sadness in her eyes tugged at something deep inside him, but at the same time, there was a warmth—a comfort in knowing that he wasn't alone.

"Still," Haku added, her playful tone returning, "you're going to have to get used to this, Naruto-kun. I'm not sure if I can get clothes or anything in this state, so… I guess you'll just have to deal with it."

Naruto immediately covered his face with his hands again, his voice muffled by the blanket. "W-Why does it have to be like this? Why can't you just—just get some clothes or something?!"

"You just create a whole room with my memory after all!"

Haku laughed softly, her gentle demeanor shining through despite the strange situation. "Don't worry, Naruto-kun. I'm not here to make things difficult for you. But I can't help it if my current form doesn't come with a wardrobe."

With a simple snap of her fingers, Haku's form shimmered slightly, and in the blink of an eye, she was clothed—though Naruto wasn't sure how to feel about what she had chosen.

She was now wearing a bright orange jumpsuit.

The same orange jumpsuit that he wore every day.

Naruto's eyes widened, and he let out an exaggerated groan. "Oh, c'mon! You couldn't think of anything better than that?!"

Haku grinned, clearly enjoying herself as she twirled playfully in the jumpsuit, showing off her new outfit. "Why not? I thought it suited you well, Naruto-kun. And besides, it's surprisingly comfortable."

Naruto groaned, his face still burning with embarrassment. "This is so weird…"

Her eyes still sparkling with amusement. "Well, you seem to like it. You wear it all the time, after all. I thought it might help me blend in with you."

Haku smiled softly, her eyes filled with warmth as she looked at him. "You'll get used to it."

They sat in silence for a moment, the absurdity of the situation hanging in the air between them. Naruto's heart was still pounding in his chest, and his mind was racing with a thousand different thoughts, but despite the weirdness of it all, there was a strange sense of peace that came with Haku's presence.

Haku's expression grew serious as she thought about the dark presence lurking in Naruto's subconscious. She had wanted to avoid bringing it up, but now that Naruto was awake, she knew she had to warn him. It was dangerous, and she didn't want him to be drawn to it.

"Naruto" Haku said, her voice taking on a more urgent tone. "There's something important I need to tell you."

Naruto looked up, his curiosity piqued by the change in her demeanor. "What is it?"

She took a deep breath, her eyes flickering toward the deeper part of Naruto's mind, where the black orb pulsed faintly in the distance.

"The other orb the black one is dangerous. It is like a Hollow of me, but it's connected to your deepest desires, your anger, and your pain. It's like a twisted version of myself."

His eyes widened in surprise. "What? You mean, like… the Nine-Tails?"

She shook her head. "No, it's different from the Kyubi. It's not a living creature—it's the opposite side of the Souls, the negative emotion of me . It takes the form of a black orb, buried in your subconscious. You mustn't touch it, Naruto-kun. It's dangerous."

Naruto gave her a thumbs-up, his usual bright grin returning. "Don't worry! I'm not gonna let some creepy dark orb mess with me!"

But as soon as the words left his mouth, Naruto's body seemed to move on its own. His foot slipped, and his hand swung forward, making contact with something soft and cold.

Naruto froze, his eyes widening in horror. "Oh no…"

Right in front of him, barely a few feet away, was the very thing she had just warned him about—the black orb. The swirling mass of dark energy seemed to pulse and vibrate beneath his fingertips, a low hum filling the air as the orb reacted to his accidental touch.

"Naruto!" Haku gasped, her eyes wide with panic. She rushed forward, trying to pull him back, but it was too late.

*CRACK*

The black orb began to crack, jagged lines forming across its surface like splintering glass. A sickly, dark mist seeped from the cracks, swirling around them as the entire void seemed to tremble under the force of the orb's release.

Naruto stumbled back, his heart racing as the mist grew thicker, twisting and coiling like tendrils of shadow. "What… what did I just do?!"

Haku's normally calm demeanor shattered as she turned to face the orb, her expression filled with fear. "You've awakened it! The dark part of my soul—the hollow—it's breaking free!"

Naruto watched, horrified, as the orb finally shattered, the shards dissolving into the mist.

From the center of the broken orb, a figure began to emerge, with the same delicate features but far more sinister. Her eyes, once soft and filled with kindness, were now cold and hollow, glowing with an eerie, crimson light. Her once long, flowing hair was now streaked with white, and her aura radiated with malicious energy.

"It's YOU!"

"White Hair Ghost Lady?"

Kushina

She sat on the cold, hard floor of the prison cell in Rukongai, her heart heavy with worry. The dull gray stone walls surrounded her, cold and unyielding, and the single barred window high above her let in only a sliver of light, casting long shadows across the room.

The isolation felt suffocating, but it wasn't the confinement that truly weighed on her—it was the fear gnawing at her insides, the constant worry for her son, Naruto.

She had been here for what felt like days, though she had no way of telling how much time had passed. Her thoughts were consumed by images of Naruto, the last time she had seen him lying unconscious on that hill, his body shaking with unstable chakra.

The seal on his stomach—her seal—had been changing, twisting into something she didn't know. It terrified her to think of what might have happened to him since then.

Kakashi…

*I should try to see his face when I have the chance*

She thought. Try to distract herself from much stress.

But she knew that hoping wouldn't change anything. She was stuck here, in this desolate prison, far away from the people she loved, unable to do anything to protect him.

The feeling of helplessness gnawed at her, twisting her stomach into knots. Kushina had always been a fighter, someone who took action when things went wrong, but now, she was powerless.

She sighed deeply and rested her head against the stone wall behind her. The coolness of the stone offered little comfort, and her hands, bound by spiritual restraints, felt heavy in her lap.

The sound of footsteps echoed from down the hall, pulling Kushina from her thoughts. She sat up straighter, her heart racing with a mixture of hope and anxiety. She wasn't sure who it would be—perhaps another guard, or maybe Sui-Feng,

The door to her cell creaked open, and in stepped Sui-Feng herself, her sharp eyes scanning the small room with a critical gaze. Her Zanpakuto hung at her side, though her hand didn't reach for it. She wasn't here to fight.

"I'm here to speak with you, Kushina," she said calmly, her voice as cool and collected as ever.

Kushina's glare didn't waver. "Speak to me? You've locked me up here while my son is out there, possibly in danger, and you want to talk?"

"Your actions have consequences, Kushina. You disobeyed orders and you can't control your emotions. That's why you're here."

The mother clenched her teeth, the frustration building inside her like a storm. "I didn't have a choice! Naruto is my son! He was in danger, and I did what any mother would do. I couldn't just stand by and watch!"

Suu-Feng's eyes softened ever so slightly, though her expression remained controlled. "I understand your concern for your son, but you're not in the living world anymore. You have to follow the laws of the Soul Society. What you did—acting without understanding the situation—could have made things worse."

"I need to know what happened," Kushina said, her voice quieter now, but no less determined. "I need to know what happened to him when you fought that Hollow at the hill. Please, He's my son. I can't stand not knowing."

Captain was silent for a moment, her gaze thoughtful as she considered Kushina's words. Finally, she sighed softly and pushed off the wall, stepping closer to where Kushina sat. "I came here to tell you exactly that,"

Some Character info

Soul Haku (Sealed Inside Naruto)

Personality: Her original self, known for her calm, gentle, and self-sacrificing demeanor, remains largely intact. However, the experience of being inside Naruto has allowed Haku's more hidden and suppressed desires to surface. She is still gentle and caring, deeply empathetic toward Naruto's struggles, but now holds a more personal, secret desire that revolves around Naruto himself.

Haku harbors a protective, almost sisterly affection for Naruto, but deep down, she yearns to be more intimately connected to him.

She wants to take on the role of an older sister figure in his life, offering him the comfort, warmth, and guidance that she never had herself.

Secretly, She fantasizes about being called "Onee-chan" by Naruto, imagining herself as the protective, nurturing older sister that Naruto never had growing up.

A title that would affirm her place in his life as someone precious and close to him.

This desire stems from her feelings of loneliness and isolation in life, as well as her yearning to belong and be loved.
