"Again, no more adventuring on your own unless you have your bodyguards accompanying you later."
"But mother, I didn't need any bodyguards at all." I protested at her unreasonable demand. "There's Falak who mostly just accompanied me if Father wanted something from me. It's fine. I don't need to be babied—"
"—You will be babied as I am your mother, dear. I gave birth to you. We will get a new bodyguard for you starting now," Selena didn't take my refusal into her accord, and simply decided matters on her own. "And I already picked someone to be your guardian that will guard you 24/7. Understand?"
I nodded in defeat.
"Fine, but in that case, who's gonna be my bodyguard? I am perfectly able to defend myself just fine," I decided to bite back in annoyance.
"Don't worry about that sweetheart," replied Selena. "I already called her since your guardian is accompanying me."
"Who is this person you mentioned ab—"
"—Excuse me,"
Before I continued, a rather familiar silver-haired figure entered the room, clad with her trademark maid outfit and regal posture, which seemingly unbefitting the bombshell figure she possessed.
"Lady Lucifer." The maid, Grayfia Lucifuge in the flesh herself, greeted my mother with a formal tone. "I am here as you requested. How can I be of service?"
Glancing at the silver-haired maid who stood dutifully behind Selena with a stoic expression, the gears inside my head began to shift.
'Did my mother just call Grayfia to be my guardian or some shit?'
While unlikely to happen, it would have been sweet. I always found Grayfia attractive in the story, though she was untouchable in canon because Sirzechs is a real bro character.
Except that figure was practically my mother now.
Wait a minute.
That meant Grayfia in this timeline was never married to anyone since my mother was essentially the female version of her supposed husband.
"... So." I decided to ask as the anticipation rose, making my stomach churn in excitement. "You picked this sexy bonafide maid to be my guardian?"
"If Lady Selena permits it," replied the sexy maid herself without breaking her professional facade, although I could see it cracked a little the moment I referred to her as a 'sexy bonafide'.
"I'll allow it!"
Damn, that was quick.
Even Grayfia's mask was momentarily cracked as an expression of annoyance quickly came to and then swiftly left her face, by my mother's swift decision.
"Though, sexy maid? What degenerate things have you been reading my son?"
I blanched at the unexpected question but quickly recomposed myself. Before I had a chance to explain, that damnable father had of mine to cut the line.
"He somehow acquired some of those Japanese porn books called Doujin on his 'little excursion' to Japan. It was a maid-based one."
'You fucker! Also, how the fuck did you know about it?!' I mentally raged at my Father but was unable to refute it as I nervously glanced at my mother, waiting for her reaction while expecting the worst.
"About maids hm? At least my son is cultured~"
'... Wait, what?' I looked at my mother, dumbfounded by such an unexpected response.
Why does she look so proud? And unless my eyes deceived me Grayfia had a very minor blush that quickly vanished.
'I swear, women are so complicated,' I mused while shaking my head.
Currently, we're standing on the teleportation portal. After scolding me for like two hours, Selena decided that she would bring me back to the Gremory Estate.
About my departure, Ajuka was also fine with letting me go since he considered my training was adequate to leave me on my own. He did allow it reluctantly, though that was on account of having to scrap ten years' worth of experimental planning. Though that asshole was keen enough to include every single detail of the reports about my progress over the past fourteen years, he was more so consumed by the possibility of what else could be achieved.
Suffice it to say, I was completely flabbergasted by his last attempt to rile me up but not so surprised he was already planning to use me like a guinea pig for another decade. Rat bastard.
'How the fuck does he have that record!? How, and when!?' I inwardly raged, completely and utterly betrayed by that damnable father of mine. I knew that I was the one who first broke the code of secrets between bros, but to think that bastard was spiteful enough to easily sell my entire fourteen years' worth of malicious compliance and disobedience to my mother.
He even dared to leave without saying anything, only flashing one last smile before leaving the teleportation room.
One day, I will surely make him pay for this!
"Stop thinking about getting one over your father. I do that enough to fill a worn-out journal." My mother muttered, much to my chagrin. "And don't even think about making any excuses. Mature-minded as you come off, I can still sense you lacking the real composure of an adult."
Seriously, we just met like a few hours ago and suddenly, she somehow managed to peer beyond my usual expression.
Did all mothers in this world have this kind of sixth sense toward their children?
Also what about my rights and freedom of speaking? This is a serious case of personal information breaching, dammit!
Don't give me that look, mother. You're trying to peep into my mind again.
"I don't know what you are thinking about, but stop thinking about something rude to your mother, especially when I finally met you after decades long." Selena chided me while immediately sighing with a wistful expression. "... I am sorry, I didn't mean that."
"Chill mom," I quickly answered. Seemed like things went a bit too far. "No worries about that, it's just a chill banter between a parent and her son."
My mother looked at me for a while, before looking away with a forlorn expression.
"... Forgive me for being awkward," Selena whispered sadly while her soft, delicate hand gently stroked my cheek, which I greatly enjoyed. "I just didn't know how to react and do anything with you, dear."
"It's fine," I replied to her with a nonchalant tone. "I mean, we technically just met. And even I have practically just learned about your existence not long ago."
"... You are right." My mother replied. For a while, she didn't say anything. Only a melancholic smile graced her face. Then, she started. "You know, I have been dreaming about meeting my son for so long... Ever since your father took you away. I had so many expectations for this moment. Getting angry at Ajuka for coercing me into the pact, getting mad at myself for agreeing to it. Then there were my expectations of you."
"Like the way you did upon meeting me in his office back then," I concluded.
She nodded slowly. "I expected you to be confused. Mad. How could I come so late and claim to be your mother? Claim to love you so much and hug you tightly for the second time. But not have the temerity to be with you all this time? As the pact extended further and you remained out of my reach, I was slowly beginning to dread meeting you. I thought—I thought you'd hate me. Or worse..."
I gave her a look. "Worse?"
"I thought you'd have grown indifferent." She scoffed wryly. "To take after your father because he's spent longer influencing your life. I—I feared the worst, I was scared you'd have lost all love for me."
"Now look at you." She sniffled a bit as a tear escaped the corner of her eye. She then turned to me and played with my hair with one hand. "After meeting and talking with you like this, I realised that I've truly missed out on a lot, my dear. You've not yet matured enough to be betrothed but yet you no longer look at me with wonder and curiosity. Any trace of the innocent and hurt child I'd envisioned is absent, gone."
The more Selena talked, the more her eyes started to get blurry with tears as she started to cry in regret.
I sat in silence, letting my mother pour out every emotion that she had been holding back, even from back during our meeting. She continued to stroke my hair lovingly as she sniffed again.
"And I don't know if I should be proud or frustrated that my baby boy has grown up so fast without me. You've grown so much. I was well aware your condition forces you to grow much faster. But as your mother, seeing it happen, feels painful... I feel cheated…! I wanted to watch you grow, to take your first steps, to hear your first words. Even now, I want to turn back the hands of time just so I can relive those experiences by your side. I am sorry, you may think it selfish…"
She truly broke down from then on. And I could do nothing but let her pour every ounce of her regret, her sadness and her longing, bringing her into my embrace as she immediately gripped the fabric of my shirt, crying uncontrollably. Dream of being a mother, dreams of watching me grow like a normal child, all gone. It was all in the past, and there was nothing she could do about it.
'Making your mother cry twice in one day, what a way to start your mother-son bonding…' I sighed while internally chiding myself.
I may have fucked up a little too many times for it to be healthy. She hasn't known me for more than a few days at this point considering Ajuka spirited me away so soon after I was born.
I got the feeling I'd make her worry even more, to be honest. Best to stop doing that soon. Feels like something a past me would've done, make my mother bawl in concern over her dumbass son.
It took her a while, but Selena was finally able to calm herself, as she could only offer a sad smile at my gaze.
"I am sorry, Mael. It must be tiring for you to have a sentimental mother like me," She said, trying to wipe her tears, but I went faster with my finger, as my thumb cleaned her eyes from remaining tears, while also using Kankara to fix her ruined make-up, much to her surprise.
"Any mother would feel the same, just like you, when they heard about what happened to their kid," I spoke while looking directly at her moist eyes. "I understand what you feel, mother. And it doesn't matter if you're very sentimental about me, as I could feel the warmth of my mother's love from how you convey your feelings."
This took her off-guard, as I watched how her cheek reddened, as the colour of her aura changed from muddy brown into lighter orange as she kept hearing every bit of what I said.
"I am sorry for what I said before about my birth circumstances, it was not appropriate at all." I also further apologised to her, after realising how much she cared about me and how she was heartbroken during the entire ordeal.
Despite her strength, Selena Lucifer was an enigma. Unlike her brethren who retained some of their nature as dark creatures, she showed compassion and love which was rare for devils.
Calling her a human who wore devil's skin would suffice, but that's probably something I would never tell her directly.
"N-no! It was fine!" My mother was quick to reply, as she gently grabbed my wrist, and placed her hand between mine. "I-I am sorry if I made you feel this way…! I only thought about my feelings and didn't consider what you've experienced before—!"
"Then it makes us even," I told her, much to her confusion.
"Huh?"
"We're both at a rough start," I explained to my mother. "But alas, it was due to the circumstances surrounding me, and I can't blame anyone for it. It's also okay for you to be selfish, as I can understand your feelings about this matter. So, let's start again from the beginning, mother. Despite everything, I'm sort of glad to hear your feelings about me."
"Mael, my dear." Selena hiccuped as tears once again started to moisten her bluish orbs. But this time, the colour of her aura was completely bright yellow. "Y-yeah… We could start it again, like you said…"
I then kissed her on the top of her forehead, smiling at her reddened face. "I love you, mom. And I am glad to have you as my mother."
Selena smiled brightly, crying in happiness as she responded by lovingly kissing my cheek. "I-I also love you, dear. I love you so much… Thank you for being born… Thank you for being my son… Thank you for accepting my selfishness as a failure of a proper mother…"
I nodded while hugging her once again. From the corner of my eyes, I saw a relieved smile form on Grayfia's lips. I wish she could smile like that often, it was very endearing.
Both of us started to talk more about ourselves, with her passionately telling me about lots of things regarding her family. If there was one thing that Selena loved more than anyone, it would be her family that she cherished.
We talked for nearly thirty minutes before finally teleporting away, and leaving the laboratory.
Arriving at Gremory Castle, my eyes darted here and there in anticipation.
Even though I already knew that their territory was around the size of Honshu in Japan, seeing the whole building itself with my very own eyes was still mind-blowing. The layout of the castle was quadrangle-shaped with a courtyard in the middle. Outside at the entrance was a fountain with a circular flower bed surrounding it. Luscious gardens decorated the interior of the mansion grounds, the flora of all kinds providing a delicate balance of colour and elegance to an elegant yet grand estate.
Damn.
"Damn." I thought and muttered aloud while staring at the building. That got a giggle from my mother.
"Penny for your thoughts?" Asked Selena while poking my cheek.
"Between reading about your house from father's textbooks and seeing the real thing for myself, I think I prefer the latter," I muttered absentmindedly. It was the truth, though. The history lessons about the things they own and where they've been based for so long can't compare to the very real place I was at.
My drop-dead gorgeous mother was laughing like I was crazy. But look at all this! Architecture, landscaping, quality marbling, and even a private road leading all the way here. In isolation, this was a fortress for the Gremory clan. In actuality, they'd been living as royalty for god knows when. And the fact she was finding my jaw-drop reaction amusing was not lost on me.
She then took my arm in a cheerful mood. "Stop daydreaming and let's go in. I cannot wait to finally introduce you to your twin sister—"
"—Mother," I quickly interrupted her. "You didn't forget about the deal between us and father, right?"
Her previous joyous expression vanished, replaced by a forlorn one upon which my mother heard what I'd said, which made her then remember our conversation with Ajuka before our departure.
"… You're right dear, my apologies. I forgot about it."
'You've never once forgotten about it Mother,' I mentally thought in my mind. 'Just that, the deal with father was too hard for someone who loves her family so much. Not to mention with your recent intention, it was a painful choice.'
Initially, my mother was very enthusiastic about introducing me to the rest of the Gremory family soon after leaving Ajuka's hidden lab, which turned out to be quite far away from Agares, specifically on one of the flying islands, hidden in between. But Ajuka was quick to stop my mother from immediately dragging me onto the teleportation circle, which was also designed by the man himself.
"You can't reveal his identity just yet, not until he has reached the level where he can finally be comfortable exposing himself, or whether he obtained his peerage who is strong enough to protect him."
The discussion was short, as Ajuka had already stated his intention to hide my identity, even in both of his and Selena's families, he can only be known by each of their respective attendants.
Selena didn't take it very well, considering how much she yearned to reunite me with my twin sister, which led to their massive quarrel.
And if the last one where my mother was nearly assaulting my father in sheer desperation of wanting to meet me, then this one far eclipsed every single one of their previous arguments.
What would be a simple request, ended up becoming a massive verbal fight between those two.
It was terrifying.
The sheer demonic power that both released during their quarrel nearly brought the entire building down, even if it was completely fortified to be able to withstand both Ajuka's and my maximum output.
Electrics vibrated, winds roaring in response to the rare phenomenon of the clash among a pair of transcendent beings. The office was destroyed by the clash of their demonic power Voices were raised, and spit flew. This is where I saw the ever-impassive Ajuka raise his voice.
An extremely rare case where he snapped at her during the argument, it was incredibly rare for him to do so, considering that in the entire time of my life with him, this man has never. Ever. Once. Snapped.
Ever.
Even Falak, who practically accompanied him as his Queen for I don't even know how long, was stupefied upon seeing the possibility that her master could show an emotion other than cold, impassive ones.
Good thing I was quick to react and secretly recorded the rare phenomenon of Ajuka raging over the spat of opinions between him and on-technical-in-paper, his wife. The fact that he didn't realise that I recorded the whole thing spelled the sheer animosity from these two which was supposed to be impossible considering they're practically best friends.
While I enjoyed the moment of my deadbeat father getting a massive scolding for once in his life, maybe. I also realised the need to separate both of them before it escalated further and they started to fight for real.
"Stop! Stop trying to demolish this entire place with your arguments and demonic energy pressure! I have the utmost respect for both of you as my parents, but we need to talk about this properly, as these matters involve myself!"
I was prepared for their retaliation, considering that I roared at both, something that would be considered incredibly disrespectful from the place where I lived before. But to my surprise, both were considering my words, before finally receding their monstrous demonic power while looking at each other with an awkward atmosphere hovering between them.
I may not have realised it until later, but during that fight, for the first time, both of these close friends were having their first, real fight in the entire time of their friendship.
Something that I found out much later before everything changed.
Anyway,
As much as I wanted to support my mother's wish, given how much she wished to reconcile both siblings, I also took my father's words into deep consideration. Therefore, I took his side, much to my mother's disappointment.
In the end, it took a solid hour before I finally managed to console my mother. I also warrant strict eye contact with Ajuka to behave during the process, given how Selena's condition was.
It also took a couple of minutes to calm her down before she finally went back to her cheerful self. Not entirely but at least I managed to lighten up her mood.
Who knew that I would have an emotional mother like her?
Alas, I didn't voice my complaint about that.
Better than not having a mother, let alone only having a parent like my deadbeat father.
"I know how you feel Mother," I said while placing my hand on her shoulder. "It's just temporary. The moment I grow up to the point where anyone wouldn't pose a threat to us, we can finally reunite as a family."
My mother nodded with a gloomy expression, even though she tried to smile at me. "I know dear… Don't you worry about my feelings. I already waited years for our reunion? Waiting for another one or two is not a problem."
Alas, she knew the risks despite how disappointed she was.
I also made sure that my mother apologised to Ajuka for her outburst, and for my father to do the same.
However Ajuka only gave me a weird look, which made me realise that they'd probably been quarrelling more than once, and it was a normal thing for him. He did apologise, though. Much to my confusion.
Once again, and probably I will repeat it later, my father was truly an enigma.
Wiping her tears, Selena then smiled at me, while wrapping her arms around mine. "Alright, forget about those sad things! We just need to make you strong and get you a lot of strong maids so they can serve their lord later! For starters, let's make Grayfia your first maid!"
My eyes instantly landed on Grayfia upon hearing that.
I am not gonna lie, despite my opinion about her, Grayfia is one hell of a smoking hot lady. And all of her features tick every box in my fetish list. Not that I had one written down, but setting that aside, I knew that Grayfia was probably a perfect candidate for protecting me from any untoward people. Even as strong as I am now I know I am but a fish in a pond against anything in the underworld's society.
Meeting my gaze, Grayfia merely sighed before nodding along. "If that is what my mistress wishes, then I shall oblige."
'Alright!' I inwardly celebrated in pure excitement, as having a maid who followed you dutifully was one heck of a dream come true!
However, another thing suddenly crossed my mind, as I remembered our previous conversation. "I am grateful for your help, Grayfia. Because I don't think I can face my twin sister while also hiding my real identity from her. Since it's my first time here, would it be alright if I depended on you to show me around? I haven't been outside of my previous residence, you see, and I am curious about the place my mother has ruled over for a while."
Not even batting an eye, Grayfia nodded. "Understood, Lord Mael. If you would follow me, we could start the tour now."
I could feel Selena's grip tightened on my shoulder. I patted her back in response, to which she briefly sent a grateful look before removing her hand. "Then I will also join my Ma-chan to stroll around with Fia-chan—!"
"—Lady Lucifer." I watched how Selena instantly and uncharacteristically shuddered when she heard the unmistakably icy tone Grayfia used. "I recall that you have a meeting with Lady Serafall this afternoon. As it is a very, very important appointment, I believe it best to leave Lord Mael to me as you are already very late. "
"B-but I wanna spend more quality time with my son!"
"While I sympathise with your maternal woes, need I remind you that picking up Lord Mael was an exception to today's itinerary? Must I remind you of the fact you suddenly burst uncontrollably, claiming you 'couldn't take it anymore' and promptly barging in on Lord Ajuka's territory is no sensible reason to forgo the meeting you requested with Lady Serafall?"
"B-but Mael—!"
"—Please worry not for your son's safety, mistress," Grayfia interjected before giving Selena another look. "I will personally ensure that Lord Mael enjoys his time without your presence."
"B-b-but—!"
"Mistress," Keeping the polite and subservient tone did not hide the fact that Grayfia's eyes weren't smiling anymore. She was looking down on Selena like she was starting to get disappointed. Something mother seemed to wilt under. "You have been reunited with him after being separated for so long. While I do understand why you'd want to cling to him, business and politics won't wait. You can stomach not being with him for half an hour. Please, consider your position as well as his as your scion. You wouldn't want to look improper in front of him."
That the maid herself sent me a glance as if requesting I chime in on this was a surprise, but I guess she had a point. The fact of the matter was Selena Lucifer was being a very clingy mom right about now. A vulnerable image she cannot display in front of outsiders, much less colleagues from other clans.
Scratching my head, I decided to comply with Grayfia's request. "As much as I want you to accompany me, I think you should go, Mother. We can talk longer when you're no longer as busy."
"Please, don't worry about me. I got Grayfia here to accompany me. Also, don't be late for the meeting." Selena was about to protest my request but I quickly interjected with a reassuring smile. "As much as I want to spend more time with you after so long, having more headaches just because others won't sympathise with our reasons would just be more trouble in the future.
While I didn't exactly know about the circumstances and situation in Lucifaad, it was not hard to imagine. Considering most of them are conservatives and traditionalists with egos, a mother acting as maternal as she wanted to be would likely be seen as a disgrace.
While I too wanted nothing more than the same, she needs to persist.
My persuasion worked as Selena relented, though she looked very much like she was about to cry. She was about to take her leave, but not before hugging me with all of her might.
Had I not reacted by empowering my body, she would probably have turned my bones into dust.
'I am truly blessed to have a childish and needy mother like her, right…?'
It took several minutes, but Selena finally let go of me, while preparing her teleportation circle.
"Make sure you tell me everything about today, okay? Mommy wants to enjoy her son's company, you hear!" She practically pleaded with teary eyes, much to my amusement.
"Alright, alright. I promise. Go get 'em, mom." I replied to her while emphasising the last word, much to her appreciation. I accentuated it, timing it just right as she was on the verge of activating her teleportation. I didn't see it, but I can likely infer that she was squealing and wanted to pelt me with adoring kisses by the time she warped to wherever she was going.
"I must say, that was quite evil of you, Lord Mael."
I gave Grayfia a side glance. "You think so?"
"Very much so. No doubt she is double-thinking whether she should return and give you another five extra minutes of attention in exchange for tugging on her heartstrings, but I digress." Grayfia, while lifting the sides of her skirt, bowed her head a bit, before looking back at me with a peculiar look. "Thank you for your consideration in helping me convince Lady Lucifer to be responsible. For someone so young, I'm quite impressed you had such forethought."
"I didn't expect you to be so open about it." My smirk widened as I looked back at the silver-haired maid who also presented a thin smile on her usual apathetic expression.
"And I didn't expect that you would so merrily tease your mother like that. But as a mere servant, I can do nought but comment, as I must keep the veneer of my station. I will be limiting this to when it's just us, however."
"Please, do it when you feel like it. I'd rather have someone who talks normally rather than a cardboard cutout that only speaks in platitudes and flattery. I had a decade of that and it's kinda draining."
"Very well. I shall endeavour to do as you command. As your guard and personal maid, you can trust me to not besmirch your image as a noble, Lord Mael."
"Like you can say that when you were blatantly enjoying my mother's expressions whenever I prod her maternal instincts." I jabbed back, immediately adding before she could put up any retaliation. "Don't bother feigning ignorance either. While I do feel a bit bad for my mother to be getting twice the teasing, I appreciate it more that we have someone we can trust to be like this around. Though, I understand how much trouble she'd be in if she didn't have you to restrain her now and then."
Considering how much of my mother's childishness was constantly touching a nerve for everyone involved, someone like Grayfia undoubtedly played a part in why she wasn't a total mess. My calculations supported this hypothesis.
"I am not sure whether I could give you my response about that, milord." Replied Grayfia with a knowing smile. "After all I am merely nothing but a faithful maid who served my master, and by extension of her order, I am currently serving you as well."
"Playing dumb with me already, huh? You are quick on the uptake, eh?" I said while pointing out Grayfia's quiet smirk. "I didn't expect such quick disobedience for the sake of acting casual. Considering we'd just met a few hours ago, it seems like you understand my preference quite well."
"Your words hurt me, Lord Mael," she feigned being hurt. "As you know, I take my job very seriously. Whether it's how I should behave in front of my master or how I mind his considerations, I must be on point at all times. And since you're already much more mature compared to your peers considering your age, I would assume that being stubborn and prolonging the 'polite maid' act would just make you less comfortable."
Her response was quite intriguing, completely different from the Grayfia I knew from the series. But then again, this reality was different, so having Grayfia with a different personality would make sense.
Then again, Selena was a gender-bent version of Sirzechs, so of course as her boss's kid, she'd be more amicable to me.
I don't mind this relationship. It was refreshing. Better a real face with some real thoughts behind it than a pretentious false mask only pretending to like you.
I recall Grayfia was around my mother's age. Guess that adds to her being considerate. Normally, she'd be my mother, no? I mean, she was married to Sirzechs in the original after all. But now, she's single.
Single and also my maid.
'That's kinda hot, not gonna lie.'
"What's on your mind, Lord Mael?"
"Nothing much," I said, shrugging my shoulders while shaking my head. "Well, to be frank, I was still considering if I should ask you to be even more casual with me now that I know you're quite fine speaking your mind." I hummed and leaned my head to her. "Thoughts, Grayfia? I'm pretty much okay with just dropping the title. So long as it doesn't cause trouble for you, that is."
In response, Grayfia just giggled as she once again bowed her head. "Very well. Then, I shall refer to the Lord with his name only in private. Is that acceptable, Mael? Or should I say 'Ma-kun'?"
'Holy mother of devils, woman! Don't say that so softly so close to my ears! It's gonna be a tough one wrangling that one snake I always carry!' I didn't say it aloud, of course. Merely composed myself, thanks to the years of Ajuka-training my poker face and gave her a chuckle. "Copying my mother's suffix for my name, I can't say I don't dislike the way you say it. It feels nice."
Well, more than nice, but I can't outright say things or a thing, got hard for me.
"Thank you for your compliment, milord," replied Grayfia with a knowing smile. Before she once again donned her professionalism which was evident from her posture and change of her expression. "Now, shall we start your tour of the Gremory Estate?"
-To Be Continued-
Beta Reader: LuluViBritania(FF.N, SB, WN and QQ)/-LuluViB99th Britannian Emperor(Discord), ReavesTheReader(FF.N and QQ) Basilisk
Author Note: Not much I need to say except that late update due to real-life stuff.
Also we finally got another character, and this time it was a familiar face who this time is not married yet.
For how old MC was, he's just several months younger than Rias. Which also includes MC's twin.
I also read the review about how having twins is impossible due to devil's low fertility, but I need to remind you again this is Ajuka we're talking about. The greatest genius who also a sociopath who happens to have a random idea about a child of both super devils when he's drinking with Selena. It wasn't shown in canon, but Ajuka might likely have a method to increase devil's fertility, considering Issei got like ten kids or more with his wives, and they're like close in age.
Sometimes some things aren't explained further in DxD which makes you nitpick it for lil-bit detail. Sucker.
Anyway, hope you enjoy the chapter. And next update will be after Fortune of the Sea. I will see you again in the next chapter. Ciao.
