Untitled NNK2 Fic

Its a beautiful day of an indeterminate season and everyone was minding their own business.

And thus no one was around to stop Doloran from completing a complicated summoning ritual that for some reason took two thousand years to gather the most important ingredients for.

"At last!" he shouted before laughing triumphantly. The altar's flames dramatically swelled upward. "The Horned One is free!"

Outside, dark clouds twisted and formed while the sea churned violently and water-based twisters made some fishes' lives more interesting. This can easily be seen for miles so now everyone in Evermore and Hydropolis are on high alert.

Meanwhile in Evermore, Evan was on a balcony looking at the distant storm and wondering what that means for his budding kingdom when he heard Tani gasp in horror.

He ran back inside because its implied the balcony is linked to the throne room somehow just in time to see Roland hunched over as smoke that kinda resembled blackened feathers emerged from his body ominously.

"Oh flip," yelped Lofty, "the plot's got him!"

"Roland!" Evan cried out, unsure what to do. Does that weird kid in his dreams have any advice for this sort of thing? But alas he doesn't show up often so Evan can't rely on that (man they should really start scheduling future meetings).

Fortunately, Evan's voice seemed to snap Roland out of it or at least pretend he's not being affected by the plot because he glanced at the worried eyes of the children and stood up straight with a grunt. The smoke dissipated. Roland took a shaky breath to steady himself.

"I'm totally okay, you guys," he said before looking towards the general direction of the nearest window with a frown. Evan and Tani looked as well.

The storm clouds have gotten darker and a portal has opened up as the sea parted to form Final Boss Island.

Something was emerging from the portal.

It slowly uncurled itself once it landed on the center of the island. It was covered in darkened feathers. Its flat, triangular feet had sharp claws.

The Horned One spread out its wings and tilted its long neck back as it took a deep breath before releasing its first utterance in two thousand years:

" H̸̡̀҉O̶̴̷̴N̷͏͘͠K҉̛̀͜͢!̢̕͝ "
