After storing my modest possessions in the drawers, I decided to check on my beloved brothers and sister. Of course, I could have wandered in the palace's hallways and the streets of the city in proud solitude, as well as in peace and quiet, I could have gone to the pier and admired the sea and the white ships, but… I'm bored, and when I'm bored, I drag out my brothers, and we have fun together. And together we are being punished by Mum and Dad, or occasionally by someone else… So, I had just left the room, when in a narrow corridor I almost bumped into Turco, who was adjusting his hair and suit. He clearly wanted to get out of the palace unnoticed and as soon as possible. He probably decided to go out and seduce some local beauties!

'Well, well, Tyelkormo, where are we going?' I asked my slightly embarrassed brother mockingly.

'For a walk. So, don't bother me!' he probably wanted to get rid of me as soon as possible.

'Well, let's go for a walk together!' I wanted to pick on the Hunter and annoy him – it happens to me, and quite often.

'I wanted to go alone. Leave me be, go… play with Artanis! Dolls, dresses, house! Figure something out. I've got a lot to do!'

I sarcastically crooked my eyebrow.

'Come on? I'm going to be twenty soon, and still I must play with dolls? And remind me, please, when have I ever played house? Rather, I've played "stay alive" with the lot of you.'

'Well, no matter!' Turco waved me off. 'Try gossiping and giggling about the boys… What else do girls do?'

'About the boys? You are aware she's only twelve, aren't you?'

'Oh, Eru!' Turco was in dismay. 'Think of something!'

He fully justified his name Tyelkormo, meaning Quick Temper, although annoying younger sisters are atrocious!

'What's going on here?' two red heads poked out from around the corner.

Turco sighed miserably – now these too are going to get involved.

'Turco and I are going for a walk!' I winked mischievously at the twins. 'Come with us!'

'Please don't!' Turcafinwë practically begged.

'Yes, my dear, they shall!'

'Are you going for a walk?' someone's thin voice asked.

'Aikanáro? How are you here..?'

'We brought him along with us!' almost proudly for his cousin answered Telvo.

'Hey! Then I want to go too!' Artanis suddenly appeared next to her brother.

I began to be worried that a dozen more elves will jump out from behind the corners and statues. Who knows how many of them are still here?

'No-o-o!' our heroic lover turned pale.

'I hope that's everybody? If there's anyone else here, you'd better get out right now!'

However, no one else appeared so all of us together followed Fëanáro's third son. If the adults had learned about it, they, of course, would have never let him go alone with the five younger children. Although I could consider myself to be the older one among our group, the adults didn't think so. But they didn't know about it, so no one interfered and no one helped poor Turco to walk the young princes and princesses.

Of course, we weren't so young that we had to be under constant supervision. It was rather done for others' sake.

We left the palace unhindered and went to conquer the city. And though Aikanáro would have preferred the beauty of the sea to a crowded city square, he had to follow the wishes of the majority. Having a bunch of 'kind' relatives nearby, Turco couldn't use all his charm and flirt with anyone, however, our company attracted a lot of attention whether my brother liked it or not. But he never gave up easily – even being forced to walk around the city with a bunch of children, Tyelkormo never forgot his manners and appearance for a minute. He carried himself with dignity like a father of a family and glanced at his reflection in every fountain.

After a while we entered one of the main streets named after Ossë where we decided to rest. While the younger ones were sitting on the bench and chatting enthusiastically, Turco finally spotted a potential prey and quietly moved away from the children further and further away, but I was watching him and the young unfortunate maiden. Deciding not to embarrass my brother in front of all my relatives, I told the others, 'Sit here, I'll be right back… Though, you won't get lost, will you? Then you don't have to wait for me!'

Four pairs of uncomprehending eyes saw me off and then, shrugging, continued to sit and talk.

In the meantime, I decided to follow the Hunter of female attention and watch his successes or, well, failures… So, after noticing a pretty blonde at the jewellery counter, he went straight to her and, as if by chance, started a conversation. Unfortunately, only a couple of sentences were able to reach me in my hiding place and I completely missed the beginning of the conversation, but knowing my brother I can guess what they were talking about. Surely, he praised her jewellery, then gave her some kind of compliment after which she lowered her eyes in embarrassment. Now, he probably said that he would buy any jewellery for such a beauty, after that he'll tell her about himself, ask for an address for communication, and if the girl's instinct of self-preservation didn't work, then they would go for a walk together! So far, she was only smiling and laughing merrily but Turco, blinded by success (sometimes he was immediately asked to piss off), probably already imagined crowds of blondes cheering at the mere sight of him, to whom he bought jewellery and made compliments while they enthusiastically listened to his stories about his great self. I rolled my eyes when he told the girl another silly thing after which she blushed and then happily accepted a gift – a beautiful silver brooch – from her new acquaintance. Then Turco lied about being here for the first time and asked if she could give him a little tour, only if it wouldn't bother her, of course. She agreed with a sweet smile and was already leading him back to the arch. Yeah… It looks like he's finally having some success.

'All right, all right, let's see you take a walk…'

I quickly shadowed them. When they got to a large square, I had to get closer so I wouldn't lose sight of them. I mean, it would be impossible to see me among the crowd anyway. Suddenly, I accidentally ran into someone at full speed. Glancing upwards, I saw an adult elf in front of me looking at me in surprise.

'I'm sorry, sir, I didn't mean to,' it was only proper for me to apologise to the victim.

'It's nothing, young lady. And whither are you in such a hurry?' his tone, as well as the look of his light blue eyes, was a little mocking. 'You're probably from the tribe of Fëanáro, aren't you?'

'How do you know?'

'I've read your thoughts!' my eyes widened. 'Oh, I'm just kidding!' he patted my head and laughed. 'I am a royal advisor; some visitors from Tirion were supposed to arrive today so I recognised you – you stand out in the crowd with your hair.'

'Oh,' I looked around. It was true.

'I am Amarion, and you must be Cenamiën?'

'You know my name too!'

'It's my job to know such things! All right, go about your business, I'll see you again!' Amarion smiled kindly.

With that, he waved goodbye and disappeared among the elves with similar silver hair…

Of course, it was great to make acquaintance with the royal adviser just like that, but as I was talking to him I almost forgot about my main goal, and in the meantime the couple disappeared. Where did they go? They couldn't have gone far… So, what's the next landmark here? She must have decided to show him the ships! Where's the sea here? The sea? Balrog! These tall elves obscure all the view!

I stood on tiptoe and tried to see the right direction towards the sea. A fresh wind has just blown from the east and brought the screeching of seagulls.

Yes! You won't get away!

I ran across the square straight to the wide passage ahead. Leaving the main city behind, I was approaching the harbour itself. In the distance, white ships were rocking on the waves, the stars were clearly visible, and two figures were sitting on the rocks near the shore, apparently already holding hands. How cute! And most of all, unexpected.

I hid behind a rock and continued to watch them from a distance. They were still talking about something but the words were drowned out by the splashing of the sea and the cries of birds. Apparently, Turco successfully followed his standard plan, although it had never before resulted in… A kiss? No, seriously, a kiss? Eru, I've finally lived to see this moment! What a story to tell at home! Or… Maybe I shouldn't tell anyone? If my brother won't brag himself, maybe he really fell for this girl? So what if they've known each other only for a couple of hours.

In the meantime, Tyelkormo was reciting his own poems to the girl.

The end has come of day's bright glow
The birds' sharp voices quiet all
And silver light begins to flow
It's time for smoke at sea to curl…

Akin to northern wave that's late
The wind will bring a tender sound
That used to hide behind the shroud
And shield you from your horrid fate…

Let's show some leniency towards our romantic since poetry is not his strong suit – after all, other qualities are important for a hunter; if you are looking for love lyrics, asking the minstrels would be a better choice. But even a love-struck Turco has an impulse to create, and better let it manifest in the form of verse creation…

Deciding to show, I don't know, mercy or good manners, I quietly slipped out from behind the rock and ran back to the city. Only when I got to the square where I ran into Amarion, I slowed down to a walking pace and calmly strolled towards the palace. The children returned shortly before me. Apparently, Aikanáro showed prudence and didn't leave the twins the chance to mess around. Our parents didn't really care where their children were hanging around all day. Obviously, they thought that we, like Turco, would go to explore the city or gaze at the sea under the supervision of Maitimo. Well, let them think so…

At dinner, I once again met my new acquaintance – the royal adviser – and greeted him solemnly, again causing a smile on his face. Tyelkormo came in later than everyone else and smiled mysteriously all evening. I smiled too remembering their cute kiss, but I didn't say anything to anyone. It seems that something more interesting is awaiting me than my brother's usual relationships. What's more, now I have some wonderful dirt on him!
