At Kuoh TV Studio
A medium named Santa Dodoria who was known to predict the future and read tarot was doing a bit with a famous idol singer named Shouma-san. While the idol wore good looking clothes the medium was all tacked out with a big rope covering most of her body and a creepy mask. She looked at a crystal ball as she asks him a few questions.
"Your age is 27.''
"I am 20.''
"You like curry.''
"I like ramen, actually.''
"You have wife and children.''
"I am single.''
The audience and the staff just felt like the medium was a complete fraud, but she guess right that Shouma did like idol manga in the past which was something he didn't reveal to the public yet, for that reason nobody was booing her. After the show she was on her way out while Shouma stook around and talked with the staff of the station.
"Great show there mister Shouma.'' Said a staff member.
"It was fun. I did feel bad for seeing her guessing all those questions wrong.'' Said Shouma with a smile.
"Its ok, we all know that your preferences and personal life. I am pretty sure nobody will be mad at her.'' Said one of the staff.
"Terrific, by the way.'' Said Shouma.
"Yes?'' Asked a staff.
'Have you see my agent? I would like to speak with him on my dressing room.'' Said Shouma.
"Sure, we will fetch right now.'' Said the staff.
The idol went to his dressing room still with a smile on his face. A few minutes later his agent arrived and closed the door.
"Yes, darling what it seems to be the problem…'' Said the agent and once the door was closed Shouma charged at him pinning him to the wall with a great amount of strength and hate.
"YOU BASTARD!'' Scream the pop idol now pissed.
"What?! What's wrong?'' Asked the agent confused.
"How does she knows?'' Asked Shouma pissed.
"What!? That old hag? What did she do?'' Asked the agent.
"She knows everything! My age! My secret family! She even knows I don't like ramen!'' Scream Shouma.
"What! It is impossible, we made sure that all your dirt is hidden from the public. There's no way a low-class medium knows all of this. She must have got a detective for sure.'' Said thee agent as Shouma let him go.
"Whatever! Make sure to check for any snooping people around. I am letting them air this shit segment for some clicks, but after that no more stupid encounter with mediums.'' Said Shouma showing off his real personality.
"Don't worry dear, I am pretty sure she just second guess all of that. There's no way that wrinkled old bat is a radium psychic.' Said the agent imagining Madam Dodoria looking like a really old woman that looked like a mummy.
At a taxi
The medium was having a ride towards her home which was Momo house. The cab looked at the woman and had a few questions.
"You're that Dodoria right? I saw you on Tv the other day. Do you really have psychic powers, or do you know the supernatural? My friend kept telling me he saw a Kappa but I never believe on him.'' Said the cab.
"Let me out here.'' Said her.
"What! Listen I am sorry if I was rude or…'' Said the cab a bit worried but the medium wasn't having any of that.
"If you want to live just let me go. Here.'' Said her giving him the money plus a bonus.
As the taxi went off the medium went towards her house. As she went upwards she sensed a bad energy coming near the Torii, then she saw Turbo Granny posed Okarun as he was about to take a big bite out of Momo leg. Before he could any of that the medium tossed a piece of wood with a nail sticking out and that apparently was enough to burn the evil yokai.
"AAAAAAAH!'' Scream the demon in so much pain as they looked for water and heard their aggressor.
"Well, well. And here I thought she would brought home another shitty man, but you aint no human. Honestly, my granddaughter gives me nothing but trouble. All the stress dries out my skin. So come on ugly thing bring it.'' Said the medium who's true name was Seiko Ayase, the grandmother of Momo.
Despite having a robe and a mask covering her face Seiko had the look that girls on her 20's could dream of it. Perfect skin, nice body, big chest and even her legs were in good condition. Nobody on Earth would ever guess that this woman was someone grandmother and the shocking thing is that there no bullshit around, no immortality spell, no potion, no deal or anything, she just looks this good.
Once Seiko presence was know Turbo Granny went for a big attack but once she got close the yokai started to burn up.
"AAARGH!'' Scream Turbo Granny in pain
"Hot damn! That was close for comfort. That was predicted thought. I knew you'd try to hit my blind spot. You fell right into my trap. Hook, line and sinker.'' Said Seiko pointing out the circle she draw on the ground that now Turbo Granny was stuck.
"Uh?'' Asked Turbo Granny confused.
"Step outside that line and you're as good as dead.'' Said Seiko all cold.
The youkai put her hand out and she started to burn it. Seiko then explain how she managed to trap the possession demon on her little circle and how the nails works their ways around it. She had the look of someone who already dealt with killer yokais before and she wasn't even shaking a bit when Turbo Granny looked at her straight in the eyes.
"I'll eat you alive. Don't think you can hold me in here forever!'' Scream Turbo Granny.
"Oh, I don't wanna hold you in there. I wanna kill you…like this!'' Scream Seiko hitting Turbo Granny hard with her baseball bat which was her weapon of choice and which she has been holding this entire time.
BAM
Now the Yokai was in a tough situation. Is either get beat up by a baseball bat or leave the circle and get burned to crisp.
"Come on! Stand your ground! You're stepping outside of the line!'' Said Seiko.
"argh!'' Scream Turbo Granny burning.
"You're going to pay for harming my granddaughter and coming to my territory without my permission. Even Szierche isn't stupid enough to mess with me.'' Said Seiko.
"You shitty old hag!'' Scream Turbo Granny.
"A wrinkled old bat, calling me a hag?! That's rich. Around here I'm knows for looking pretty young for my age. Even the devils wonder if I am immortal or something.' Said Seiko holding a big nail on her hands.
"If you burn me, the man I cursed will die too.'' Said Turbo Granny.
"I kill any dirt bag that tries to seduce my granddaughter. Dragons are a bigger threat than whoever you are possessing but even her can't fall into their spells. I don't care who's the jackass inside of you, so long.'' Said Seiko tossing the nail into the ground.
Then a sound of a big fire is heard as Turbo Granny screamed to the sky in pure agony.
"Aaaaah!'' Scream the yokaia.
Later
Momo waked up in her room, as cliché as it sound she thought for a moment that everything could have been a dream. However she soon remembered everything and saw the scratches on her skin, she knew it was all real and she need it to find Okarun as fast as she could.
"Okarun! Okarun!'' Scream Momo going downstairs.
The girl then saw her grandma lazily sitting on the floor of their living room and watching Tv while smoking.
"Grandma, you're home already?'' Asked Momo confused.
"Shut up. I am watching Bakatono right now!'' Said Seiko watching her favorite Tv show.
"I've got something more important to tell you.'' Said Momo.
"You went to a spirit spot and pissed off a Yokai, didn't you?'' Asked Seiko all serious.
"Yeah, well not me but my friend did.'' Said Momo.
"Why?'' Asked Seiko.
'Why? We were just taking dares and…it lead to this. Anyway, did you see a guy around here? I need to help him or he'll be in trouble.'' Said Momo worried.
"Haha! Bakatono sure is a national treasure.' Laughed out loud Seiko while watching her show and pissing off Momo.
"Listen to me! This is serious.'' Said Momo.
"If you mean the possessed kid, I killed it.'' Said Seiko all cold once the routine of the show stopped. Once Momo heard that she was shaken.
"What!? What did you do? I mean it was a youkai with glasses at least?'' Asked Momo.
"Well, well, I thought you didn't believe in such things as ghosts or Yokais. You said you were from the real world and shit. Besides, I am just a phony baloney spirit medium.'' Said Seiko smoking.
"When are you gonna let go of that old bat! Something really bad might've happened and I need answers.'' Said Momo.
"Oh quit it. Don't believe in that. All that stuff that I deal with is just fairy tales that entertain people.'' Said Seiko.
"Not true, I saw ghosts and Yokai just last night. I saw a bunch of things last, but anyway I know have an opened minded. For a moment I thought I saw devils and angels, but those things sure as hell don't exist for real.'' Said Momo.
"Oh boy! I don't know if I should laugh or shake my head of that comment.'' Said Seiko annoyed at that one remark.
Momo was just pissed at this but she knew what she had to do in this situation.
"Gradma. I am sorry. I was wrong…about everything. What happened to the ghost?'' Asked Momo.
"Go check the shrine." Said Seiko as she finishes her smoke.
"You shitty old hag! If anything happened to Okarun its on you!'' Scream Momo running to the shrine.
"Love you too.'' Said Seiko all simple at that.
Outside
Momo ran towards the shrine of her home, she was so worried about Okarun. In reality he was just a dorky guy who wanted some friends, that's all. She felt that he didn't deserve death or punishment on any capacity. She thought her grandma had really killed the poor boy and she reached the temple.
Once she opened, she saw Okarun, back to normal and eating rice balls. Her heart skipped a bit again upon seeing him.
"Ayase-san! Thank God! Nothing happened to you! I thought I would killed you for sure!'' Said Okarun in tears as Momo closed the shrine gates and then kicked the door.
Bam
"Hey, Ayase-san!'' Said Okarun confused.
"I see you're still alive for eyes and this is all you have to say?'' Asked Momo pissed.
"What! You're mad with me about that!?'' Asked Okarun angry now but Momo was just releasing some anger out.
"You're driving me nuts." Said her all messed up as Seiko arrived.
"Since when did you start being friends with monsters. I thought this would happened once you graduated.'' Said Seiko.
"Hey! Don't startled me.'' Said Momo.
"As long he's here the curse wont work. But one foot outta out this shrine and he'll be back into a monster.'' Said Seiko.
"But why did you tell me you killed him? You liar?'' Asked Momo.
"You were so desperate back then. You like him don't you?'' Asked Seiko.
"No way! I am helping him that's all. Turbo Granny said she took out his dick and as long as she has it, the curse wont leave him. I am responsible too, so I am going to help him out get that thing back.'' Said Momo
"I see so you really like him.'' Said Seiko.
"That's not what I meant! Oh by the way I can use psychic powers.'' Said Momo.
"The hell are you talking about it?'' Asked Seiko.
"I went to this spot where you could encounter UFO's. Some stuff happened and now I can use 'me.'' Said Momo.
"UFO aren't real.'' Said Seiko.
"Yeah, I know where you're coming from. I was the same until yesterday. Anyway, can I use physic powers now seriously? And if I don't keep Okarun's curse suppressed, he goes kind of haywire.'' Said Momo.
"They sure were effective weren't they?'' Asked Seiko as Momo groans annoyed.
Seiko then went to explain the story of Turbo Granny. Also known as the ''100 Km/H Granny'', a more modern day Yokai that terrorizes Japan. She also explains that the tunnel where apparently she resides was also a place of bound spirits, which was for people who suffered an accident or something of horror in a place so that place became like their gravestone, which gathers a lot of powers. Apparently Turbo Granny fused with the bound spirit which meant that the Youkai was even stronger than before.
In Seiko thought Turbo Granny became almost an above High Class Devil power which meant not even the two troupes from Kuoh could handle that thing on their own without dying.
Momo just heard all that in horror. This was like something out of a horror movie where everyone dies.
"Don't mess with her. I don't wanna lose my precious granddaughter. Besides you've got no direct involvement in it. Forget about him.'' Said Seiko all cold.
Momo was a bit torn up about this statement, but she soon said out loud something weird.
"What would Ken-san do?'' Asked Momo.
"Uh?'' Asked Seiko.
"My beloved Ken would stick his neck to save someone in need. If he said no he would regret it forever, which is why I need to help him out.'' Said Momo.
"Ken-san? Wow, you must really like him.'' Said Seiko.
"No! Not that one!'' Said Momo pised.
"I hope he is not a pervert.'' Said Seiko.
"No he is not, I bet I am the first girl that talk to him in a decade. '' Said Momo with a smirk.
"Wanna me to check his lineage? Or if he has a special gift from God?'' Asked Seiko.
"Stop with this. There is no reason for any of this crap. He is already cursed he doesn't need all of this!'' Said Momo.
"Well, if you two want to take this thing out there's only one way. You gotta play tag with Turbo Granny.'' Said Seiko.
"Uh?'' Asked Momo confused.
Seiko then explained how Turbo Granny operated, since the yokai biggest power was their legs, they had to outbest her in a game of tag to defeat her for good. The idea was to make the yokai ran and ran as fast as she could until she got rid of the bound spirit territory, once that happened Momo and Okarun could defeat her but the teenage girl had her worries about it.
"Nope, no can do. Besides, look how weak my legs are! I am not a marathon winner or a 10 out of 10 athletes on school. Rather than do that can we just use the charm or something? Like put it in the tunnel?'' Asked Momo.
"That won't work, my barrier powers are just borrowed from the God that lives in this area. My territory might be vast but that old witch might leave it to places where I can't cast it.'' Said Seiko.
"Your territory?!'' Asked Momo confused.
'All the area that I own plus the forest down the back is mine Momo. If you work your ass up maybe you get it too.'' Said Seiko.
"Urgh, shut up! If your barriers are so strong why don't you go to Kuoh and put it there?'' Asked Momo.
"No, I signed a contract that made me not put any barrier or deal any interference with Kuoh unless I am asked.'' Said Seiko.
"Uh! Ok! We deal with this later!'' Said Momo still pissed about this ''Territory'' stuff.
"The point is that the tag game is the only way to beat Turbo Granny.'' Said Seiko.
"You can't expect me to ran like The Flash and still be alive.'' Said Momo.
"I'm talking about him.'' Said Seiko opening the shrine door to see Okarun who was all up and hearing all that conversation
"Oh yeah!'' Said Momo realizing what was the master plan for.
"I can finally join in the conversation now?'' Asked Okarun.
"My bad, but we still have a problem, Okarun has no stamina.'' Said Momo.
"Seriously none.'' Said Okarun being honest.
"Plus, I need to keep the curse under control.'' Said Momo.
"Then run with Momo on your back.'' Said Seiko with a good idea.
"How much do you weight?'' Asked Okarun.
"Do you wanna die?'' Asked Momo pissed.
"Also, it's not possible. In my cursed state, I can only use all my power two times.'' Said Okarun.
"Then you've gotta train yourself to be at max out all the time. We'll start you on five sets of 100 pushups, sit ups, rows and squats. Do them now!'' Said Seiko like a drill Sargent.
"What!'' Scream Okarun in shock.
"Now. Momo, you've gotta work your psychic powers of yours. Make them stronger than they are now. Since I can't help you two out directly you two we've got no choice but to get stronger yourselves. That's why I'm gonna work you to the bone, some just get a simple power and feel like they are already master with them, not you two I want to see sweat when I get back. I will call your school and give some story that you two are sick or some crap. Start working out.'' Said Seiko leaving.
The two teens saw that they were in a totally new situation. They would now have to get stronger to beat this evil curse.
The two then shared a conversation, Okarun just crying and hoping that once this was all done they could go back to their little social groups at school. However, Momo wasn't having any of that she told Okarun that while he is a bit anxious and unhinged he was still cool, kind of a spaz and she knew he would save her anytime possible. Once that was done Momo went to grab a futon so he could sleep well in the shrine but also some refreshment, also just for fun she grabbed his glasses and put on her to see how he sees everything.
At the house
Momo was looking at the fridge for something for Okarun to drink. She didn't know what kind of Soda or Tea he liked so she grabbed a big amount of Barley tea, just in case.
"Grandma, can I bring him this barely tea?'' Asked Momo.
"It's all yours.'' Said Seiko watching TV.
While Seiko was surfing the channels she saw the breaking story of the night. The idol she meet early today, Shouma or something was in fact 27 years old and had a secret love child with a fan of his. This was brough up by fans who wanted to see if the idol was so honest as he was saying to be.
"Now, all that is missing is he saying that he loves curry.'' Said Seiko while eating orange.
"I couldn't care less for this trash.'' Said Momo as she leaves the room.
So yes, we got Seiko in the area. Best grandma and a badass in the Supernatural world, you know I want to give her some nice moments and ideas. Seiko gives Tsunade a ran for her money, also she is naturally good-looking Tsunade cheats with her chakra bullshit that she teaches to Sakura.
Again, I don't want to write down and copy/paste the scenes from the main story. I know a lot of people do this but I don't want to balloon this story which becomes a pain to me to write. It's going to be tough but hang in there we will arrive at the DxD stuff soon. Next chapters are of course dealing with Turbo Granny and then we will get the real fun.
Like I said we will do a lot of speed up writing for these scenes, don't worry it wont be like this all the time, the start of DanDanDan sure is a lot to go through. I hope you all like it and have a nice day.
