Spring is interesting. Sometimes warm, sometimes cold. Sometimes with storms, sometimes with freezing temperatures. But it means the twins get more time outside, and Ricardo takes the kids to the park with Sofia whenever Alicia needs quiet at the house to work on her various projects. It's fun, he thinks, holding Mariana close and keeping Andre's hand snug in his while Sofia shows Clara the leaves slowly budding on the various trees around them.
Ricardo smiles and tips his head back, examining the sky. It's a beautiful day, despite the rapidly changing weather. He'd lived down down so much, having actual seasons is still kind of wild to him, but here he is, in Pennsylvania, enjoying all of the different weather cycles. Well, for the most part anyway. The cold still makes him ache, but for the most part, it's nice. He's happy his children get to experience this. The snow, and the rain, and the intermittent storms.
Sofia smiles over at him while Clara reaches out for a sensitive leaf, letting her little fingers trail over it. "It is a lovely home you've found for us, mi hijo," she says fondly.
Ricardo grins. "I think so too," he says quietly, looking back at her. "It took me a little while to grow used to it, but here we are. It really feels like home now."
"Yes," Sofia says. "It really does." They smile at each other, heading over to a small table to set up lunch for themselves and the babies, to continue making the most of the beautiful weather.
