Response to questions or statements:
-TK0421: Yeah, she's going to be really angry at Ben once all this is done. Probably at the end of the next chapter.
-Omni was hallucinating herself as a HECU Marine from Half Life hunting down Freeman. Just felt like adding a Half-Life reference which is why I included it.
-Yeah, Ben can still use the Omnitrix, but it's a lot less reliable now for obvious reasons. He can transform, but its not guaranteed he will turn into the one he selected and the timer is not always going to be consistent.
-I thought it fit Max's character, doing his best to confront someone or something that is clearly unstable and in deep emotional distress. To me at least it seems he would do that if something similar went down on the show.
-NewGuest123: Yup, Omni is not going to be happy once she regains her sanity. And let me just tell you right now, this is just the beginning of a long list of emotional, physical, and psychological abuse inflicting on the MC by Ben and co. No spoilers, but lets just say she's going to suffer in later episode arcs. But yea, Omni's going to have some severe trauma by the end of this and she's going to be hurting bad. She is definitely going to need therapy. Whether or not she'll get it depends whether I decide to add it not. Yeah, Omni's going to be put through the ringer.
-At the end of this episode arc, I'm going to be adding clarification as to who Cadmon was. But for now, he was someone the Omni really cared about and was close to in her previous life. I'll probably finish this episode next chapter, so stay tuned for that. I'll probably include the clarification in the author's note at the end.
-Right now, Ben's feeling guilty for Omni hallucinating and spazzing out. So, he's doing his best to safeguard her in the meantime, as the full weight of his actions is kicking in. Ben may still be a kid, but he's still fundamentally a good person and feels bad for Omni's current delusions and misery.
-ultima-owner: Glad you approve of the madness originating from the Omnitrix.
-Guest0508: Yeah, she's in for a painful ride. And this is just the first in a long spiral of intense damage the Tennysons' are going to inflict on her. She's going to have PTSD by the end of the OG series. She's going to enduring a lot of physical, emotional, and phycological pain.
-But yeah, like I said earlier when this episode arc is done. I'll be including an explanation for who Cadmon is. But for now, let's just say he was someone who was very dear to Omni.
-Glad you approve of the song choice at the end. I too thought it helped to best summarize the current situation.
-Me-B-Louie-G: I supposed that makes sense, the Mayor probably covered for them after the debacle.
-While I do like the idea, I'm probably not going to do that as I already have a plan to on how I'm going to end this episode arc.
-Omni didn't do that because it could only be done during a specific time, at least from what I remember in the show, if I'm wrong feel free to let me know. Since it wasn't that period of time yet she didn't bring it up. Also, yeah, when Omni recovers she's going to be really angry to say the least.

-Just guessing: Well, I mean Omni acting kind of like Wreck Gar isn't she. Well kind of, she's scattered brain, but not really dependable. Maybe I'll include the song 'Dare to be stupid' next chapter, no promises, though. Still, thank you for taking the time to check out my story and I hope you enjoy this update.
Chapter 22: Tourist Trap
Max, Gwen, and Ben watched in growing apprehension as the growing number of Megawatts scattered all around. Wrecking buildings, car engines, fire hydrants, and whatever was unfortunate enough to catch their interest for more than a second. Along with a couple of the townsfolks and the Mayor, who was still rather nonchalant about the whole ordeal as he observed the mayhem unfolding with a bag of popcorn.
"Benjamin Tennyson, don't you dare say a word." Gwen threatened as she looked forward dejectedly.
"Hey, I'm just glad I wasn't the one who screwed up this time." Ben retorted with a shrug.
The Megawatts then flipped over a can as giant toothpicks fell down on them like javelins, making them all run for cover. As Earl continued to sit where he was with no regard as he muttered about the humanity of it all.
"Those creeps idea of good, clean fun, is going to have us pushing up daisies." Max commented.
"Don't just stand here, you idiot!" The redhead complained. "Dial up some help!"
"You think I haven't been trying?!" Ben yelled back as he continued fiddling with the dial. Though, he remained mindful as to remain gently as he did not wish to cause her further pain.
"Come on, Omni. Work with me here." Ben pleaded as he tried to spin up the dial. All the while music kept being broadcasted through the loudspeakers with Omni going between singing horribly and off key with a glitching voice, and her regular synthetic voice.
"They fall in line, one at a time, ready to play
(I can't see them anyway)
No time to lose, we've got to move, steady your hand
(I am losing sight again)"
"Omni, this is not the time for Breaking Benjamin." Ben hissed. Though he did like the band and he did really like this song in particular, he was not in the mood for it right now.
Without warning, the Megawatts gathered around one as it seemed to be speaking, before they all vanished in one big flash of yellow lightening. 'Causing confusion in everyone as to where they went.
"Where did they all go?" Ben asked. While wrapping Omni in the cloth.
"I don't know. But it can't be good." Max admitted.
A burst of what sounded like police caught their attention as they all turned to see the source, that being two patrol cruisers belonging to State Police. With one officer stepping out from the first car with two more State troopers emerging from the second. All three of whom were looking around with bewildered looks on their faces as they observed the carnage inflicted on the settlement.
"Excuse me! Can someone hear talk to me?" The lead officer with the nametag of Jimmy on his uniform asked as he stepped over the rubble.
"Hello officer, how can I help you?" Max stepped forward to meet the LEO.
"Well, you can start by telling us what happened here." He said as his fellow officers moved to stand behind him. "State civil defense got word that someone hacked into the local air raid siren system and sent us to find out who. Also, what exactly happened here? We had no word of any tornados or storms in the area."
"That would be the Megawatts officer." Earl replied as he stepped forward.
"The what?" Jimmy asked as suddenly there was a huge rumbling as a walking planetarium bursted out of the building behind them. Making Jim and the rest of the State Police officers draw their service pistols as they pointed them at the walking machine.
"That, they're possessing the planetarium." Earl said non-chantant as it walked away down the street.
"Come on," Max said to his grandkids. "We can catch up to it in the-" He paused as his eyes widened as he saw that the Nosedeenians wrecked the camper. With the engine sparkling with yellow lightening.
"U AM LAME." Ben read off the spray paint on the side as he chuckled to himself. "That's weak."
"And don't even get me started on the grammar and the spelling." Gwen chimed in as she placed a hand on her hip.
"I reckon they'll head to the nearby hydro electric dam to power up. After that, they just wipe out the next town and so on and so on. Yep, they think it's funny. Megawatts have a real twisted sense of humor." Mayor muttered to himself, what he said shocking Jimmy and the other State Troopers.
"Mark, get on the horn with dispatch. Tell them we got to get the National Guard down here and send them to the dam as fast as possible." The Sergeant ordered as his fellow officer got on the radio with central.
Suddenly, Gwen looked up as she stared at a giant fish bowl. With Ben following her lead as the gears began turning in their head as they smiled at one another. "You thinking what I'm thinking."
"Yeah, beat those pranksters at their own game." He quipped as they moved to inform Max of their plan, who was looking over the RV's engine.
"Not a bad idea." He said as he eyed the State Troopers. With Jimmy questioning the Mayor about everything he knew about the Megawatts with the other officer, with Mark was busy informing Dispatch. "We just need a distraction, so that they don't try to stop or follow us."
As if on cue, the air became filled with the sound of Spanish music AKA Los Dos Laredos. With Ben and Gwen immediately shuttering in fright as they hid behind their Grandpa. With Mark and the other Troopers looking up in bewilderment.
"What the hell is that music?!" Jimmy muttered as he and the other officer went to investigate. With Mark moving his vehicle in an attempt to find a quieter spot.
"Never thought I would be thankful for that song..." Ben muttered. All three of them knowing full well it was another one of Omni's malfunction acts as they went to work.
Following along the path of giant footprint marks, they pursued the possessed planetarium with Ben gently touching the Omnitrix as he tried to get her attention. As she was riding in a Warthog in Halo driving to and from both sides of the dashboard, with her now shrunk at to accommodate for the size. All the while the giant fish bowl sat in the back of the truck that they had stolen (AKA strategically transported equipment to alternate location).
"Hey, Omni..." Ben said nervously as he scratched the back of his head. "I-I don't know if you can hear me, but I, well, I just wanted to say I'm really sorry. For doing this to you." He did not get a reply as Omni stuttered and continued yelling about how' they were going to take the fight to the blues' and 'witness the glory of the red army'.
"I just hope she didn't get any permanent damage." Said Max as he lead from the front.
"So, I think you were on to something in regards to Cadmon." Gwen spoke up before continuing. "I mean, you see the way she looked at Max when she thought he was this 'Cadmon'. I can't describe it as anything other than a look of love and regret."
"Yeah..." Ben agreed. "So, does this mean Omni had dated at some point? I didn't know that was possible."
"Look, we can ask her later. Once she regains her mind." Max declared as he gave a worried look to the AI. Now dressed in an outfit that none of them had seen before. She had a gas mask on connected to a box attached to her chest along with what looked to be a German WW2 style helmet along with a trench coat and webbing for gear and equipment. Wielding a some kind of laser rifle in hand as she fired at something imaginary that the Tennysons' couldn't see.
"Was macht ihr, Soldaten!?" She yelled in German as she threw a grenade. With it exploding off scene as she pulled out a utility shovel from her combat belt. "Aufgepflanzt! Wir marschieren für Krieg! Wir sterben heute für unsere Reue! Für den Kaiser!"
"Omni..." Max said with a bit of tiredness in voice. But his eyes still showcased his worry and concern. "Please, we're all worried about you. If you can hear us, is there anything we can do to help?" He inquired.
The Tennysons' weren't sure if the Omnitrix understood what Grandpa Max was saying. But he did catch her attention as she stared as her from behind her gas mask. Her form shifting as she once again became the woman they saw back at the motel. This time, dressed in a dress that covered one shoulder while leaving the other exposed.
She giggled as Max as she used a hand to tuck strands of her digital hair behind her ear. Smiling at him while staring at him lovingly. "So, how do I look?" She asked as she twirled her figure around. With Ben and Gwen noticing that when she was this form, her voice sounded much more... human, than the monotone and at time emotionless voice they had already become accustomed to.
"U-Uhh, l-look great, O-Omni." Max managed to stutter with awkwardness. With even Ben and Gwen given her an uncertain smile.
Omni giggled again as she played with her hair. "Aww, why thank you." She smiled. Whether or not she actually heard what Max said or was still ear hallucinating was anybody's guess.
In any case, Max decided to try again. "Omni, can you hear me?" He asked gently.
"Of course, I can, Cadmon." She smiled as she flickered her eyes at Max. Making in sigh in relief but still making him feel weirded out at the affectionate and loving looks she was giving him.
"Ok, Omni," Ben said. "We don't have time to explain, so I'm going to need you to trust me. We're following the Megawatts to the dam. Once we get there, I'm going to need you to turn me into Heatblast, can you do that?"
"Of course, Mr. Big Bird." She said cheerfully. "Though, first do tell me. What's a heatblast?"
The brown-haired boy sighed, but pressed on as she could now somewhat understand them. "The fire alien. The Pyronite, if I remember correctly."
"Oh, right the pretty one with sparkles!" She said as she placed her hand on top of her head like it was obvious. "Just one thing, Big B."
She showed herself off as she turned this way and that. "How do I look? Does this dress makes me look good?"
"Uh, you look just great?" Gwen said hesitantly.
"Great!" She cheered as she literally jumped up in the air like an excited teenage girl. " That's fantastic. I'm finally going to ask Cadmon what I've been wanting to for years! I need to look my best. And where is that damn hair straightener!"
"And what is that?" Ben asked curiously.
He didn't get any answer as Omni once again fizzled out. Before reappearing dressed as an ODST from Halo.
"Stand too, gentlemen!" She ordered with an aggressive salute. "Today, we're dropping feet first into hell!"
Max then put the car into park as they arrived at the dam. With the Tennyson's hopping out as they ignored Omni continuing to make a big inspiration speech about how' they were going to get some alien filth'. Leaning over the cliff, they saw the planetarium entering the gates of the dam. With the workers scattering about at the sight none of them were expecting when they had started their shift.
"Ok, Grandpa, you and Gwen get the fish bowl into position. I'll get its attention." Ben said as he tried to get Omni's focus. Who was still talking about how 'they were going to show those split-lips the true meaning of war.'
"Ok, Omni did you remember what I asked?" He inquired almost pleadingly.
"Of course, Staff Sergeant! We drop Grif first and use him to bait the enemy while we drop in from behind!"
Ben sighed in exasperation. "No, Omni, I just need you to turn me into Heatblast. The pretty one that sparkles. Please."
"Sure," She agreed before once again spazzing out. Her friendly demeanor shifting to threatening as she raised her MA5B at Ben. "Hey, who are you?! And what did you do to my stash of bacon!?"
The ten-year old boy exhaled as he pinched his nose in frustration.
"This is going to be a long day..." he muttered to himself. As Omni continued to interrogate him as to the location of her pet dragon. Hopefully, they would be able to wrap this up before the National Guard got here.
