Chapter 104: I want you to watch
Two weeks had passed since Geeta gave Kai his ultimatum: either defeat her or lose his gym badges.
Clavell hadn't answered one of her calls for two long weeks. For all Geeta knew, Kai could have given up. Not even the Professors were answering her calls.
Geeta had a nice view from where she sat. She sat on a chair at the very edge of the battlefield where Kai and Geeta were expected to have their fight, located on the rooftop of the Pokémon League stadium. She sipped her morning coffee and watched the sunrise, and then exhaled, feeling her breath heated by the coffee she drank caress the inside of her mouth and lips.
Standing behind her was Geeta Rojo's blade, which was lying against Geeta's chair.
"How long did you have to wait?" Geeta said to seemingly no one. An cold wind blew against her face as a response. She closed her eyes. "I wonder… if you had the same thoughts I did," Geeta continued. "I think to myself every day that I may have been too harsh on him…but…it had to be done. Kai needs to know the weight that will fall on him."
Geeta put her mug on the ground and placed her chin on her clasped hands.
"Geeta?" It was Rika. She came walking out from the open automatic doors and approached Geeta, whose eyes were glued to the sky. They shared a brief silence together, looking off into the distance, and letting the wind caress their faces.
"He'll come," Rika said.
"If he doesn't...Then this timeline is done for." Geeta replied.
Rika put her hands in her pockets. "You're more tense than I am," she said. "Technically, life is the one in danger. If The professors want to reset the timeline, you'll be the only refugee."
"It's because I'm starting to wonder how I'll warn my past self to not repeat my mistake-" Geeta said.
"Don't count the kid out just yet," Rika said.
Geeta turned to Rika. "Why is it that you're less tense than me?"
"Well, we're still alive now, so that's a start," Rika said. "Way I see it is that if things went wrong, you'd get a call from the professors. And we'd be history. But so far, so good, right?" Rika said. "Besides, everyday we live life not knowing when the end will come. What makes today any different?"
Geeta sighed. "I envy you," She said. "If the roles were reversed, I'd be enraged. I'd be afraid every day, thinking that the progress that I made today, the growth I had gone through, would all be wiped away. I think about the dark path that I could have taken…and it makes me afraid to think that I could slip all over again. Although, honestly, I don't know which one is worse. To have the person you've grown to be erased from existence or watch the timeline as you know it be erased and then die at the hands of your past self."
"It's not easy for anyone," Rika said.
"Right," Geeta said.
Neither of them said a word.
"I want to be alone," Geeta said suddenly.
"All right," Rika said.
Rika turned and walked away as Geeta looked off into the distance once again. The Top Champion lowered her head and watched her hands gripping her knees.
"Please…" Geeta muttered. "You need to come, Kai. Please…"
Geeta was starting to feel her nails scratching her knees through her pants with how hard she gripped them. She drew a shaky breath.
"Geeta!" Rika cried. Geeta swung her head around, seeing Rika with a bright smile on her face. "You're not going to believe it," Rika continued, "But- he's here! Kai is here!"
Geeta stood up from her chair so quickly that it fell onto the ground.
The elevator doors leading to the first floor finally opened, and Geeta nearly beamed at the sight of Kai. He along with his friends were all waiting for him. When Geeta saw Clavell standing beside them, a flash of anger came over her, but she held it back with a sigh.
Every step Rika and Geeta made echoed across the entire room, which was large and empty, save for two chairs and a table between them. There was a single computer on the table, as well.
Kai's eyes were locked straight onto Geeta, even as Rika walked past her superior, who had stopped moving. Rika then at on the chair in front of Kai and the group, and pulled out glasses from her pocket. "All right, Kiddo," Rika said as she put her glasses on.. "Sit down. It's time for us to have a little chat."
"A little..chat?" Kai said, his eyes darted to Rika as though he just realized she was in the room.
"It's procedure," Rika said. "I know you're itching to fight Geeta here, but rules are rules."
"Okay." Kai said, slowly sitting down on the chair beside him.
Rika tilted her head to look at the rest of Kai's group who stood over him. "By the way, this is a private test," Rika said. "So the rest of your friends have to leave. We can join them later."
Kai turned to the rest of his group. Nemona flashed a smile and a nod. Arven gave a thumbs-up, Penny nodded and smiled.
Aeon approached Kai, and the two boys stared at each other.
"Gonna kiss me for luck?" Kai asked.
"It's like you read my mind," Aeon said.
The two boys kissed each other on the lips, held each other's hands, and then slowly pulled apart. Kai waved at his group, who waved back and walked outside.
"This'll be quick. I'm just gonna ask you a few questions, and we'll be done." Rika said.
Geeta motioned with her hand for Clavell to come over to her. Clavell walked toward Geeta, and Geeta turned her back.
"Geeta!" Kai shouted.
Geeta turned her head back.
"I'm going to make an announcement, and I want you to be there," Kai said. "You hear me?"
Geeta didn't respond. She turned away and patted Clavell's shoulder to get his attention.
"Do you hear me!?" Kai roared.
"Settle down, I'm sure she can hear you," Rika said.
Geeta and Clavell went into the elevator together. Geeta waited until the doors were closed, and the elevator was moving until she decided to speak.
"Why didn't you answer any of my calls? Did you have any idea how worried I was?" She said.
"Unfortunately, my hands were tied," Clavell replied. "That boy, Aeon, caught onto our plan. He would have told Kai that the threat of his Gym badges being taken away was fake if I gave you any updates."
"And you couldn't secretly update me?" Geeta asked.
"Slipping away from a robot boy that doesn't need any sleep is difficult. I'm sorry for making you worry."
Geeta sighed.
"Well...We can't go back in time and undo it. What's two weeks of discomfort compared to the distress I'd feel if this plan fell apart? Anyway, we're safe now. How is Kai? Has he become stronger?"
"I'm afraid I can't answer that, either," Clavell said.
"Why?"
"I made a promise. I cannot say a word."
Geeta frowned.
"I have a feeling you won't break it no matter what," Geeta said. "Fine. I'll see what Kai can do. But… if it isn't enough…we'll go from there."
The elevator made a ding noise, and the doors finally opened. Geeta and Clavell were greeted by closed doors, which opened automatically once they stepped closer. The doors that opened revealed the rooftop of the Pokémon League Stadium.
Geeta and Clavell walked over to the edge of the rooftop and could see Kai's group down below. They were having a conversation, but they were too high up to hear them.
Geeta went to the chair she had knocked over previously and stood it up. Then, she picked up Geeta Rojo's katana, which was on the floor as well. She would have offered Clavell a seat if she hadn't known already that he preferred standing. They watched as Kai and Rika walked out of the building's front doors behind Kai's group, and they all spun around.
"What're you doing here!?" Nemona's voice was loud enough for the two adults to hear.
Geeta could somewhat read Rika's lips. "Settle down!" Rika had said. "Kai said that he had something he wanted to announce."
"Geeta!" Kai roared at the top of his lungs. "Geeta! I know you're here!"
Geeta sighed.
"You can use the chair if you'd like," Geeta said. Clavell nodded and crossed his arms, watching as Geeta stood up. She stretched her arms and legs before leaping all the way down to where everyone else was.
Geeta landed with a crouch before slowly standing up. "You've got my attention," She said.
"So cool…" Nemona mumbled.
"Geeta. I want to hear it come from your mouth," Kai said. "Am I allowed to take on the elite four all at once?"
Everyone except for Geeta gasped.
Geeta fought the urge to smile with all of her might, but lost the battle. Her lips curved upward as she spoke.
"You do know what you're risking, right?" Geeta asked.
"I know I didn't stutter," Kai said.
Neither of them said a word for what felt like an eternity.
"Fine," Geeta said. She turned to Rika. "Rika, call everyone else."
"Wait- are you serious?!" Rika cried.
"Kai didn't stutter, and neither did I," Geeta said.
Rika let out a defeated sigh and then turned to walk back inside.
Kai had a determined look on his face, and Geeta stared at him. If the confidence he was showing was just an act, he would show cracks by now, but he didn't. Kai didn't even say a word until Rika came out with the rest of the Elite four members. Geeta turned her head to glance at the members who walked out of the building.
Poppy. A young nine-year-old girl who is extraordinarily talented at battling. She is easily one of the most powerful trainers in this region and well deserving of her position as an elite four member. Were she to continue being a trainer as she grew up, there would be no doubt that her potential would lead her to surpass every trainer in Pokémon world. She had bright black eyes which shone with wonder and short black hair. She wore a visor on her head, and a blue dress along with a necklace, which had a large, key-shaped locket.
Hassel. An art teacher who is also an extremely powerful dragon type trainer. Among all of the teachers in the academy, Hassel was easily one of the strongest, if not the strongest teachers in the entirety of the school. Geeta had long acknowledged his strength as a trainer, and Hassel did not hesitate to become a memeber of the Elite four, because he had the passion to test his students and see what they've learned. He wore a black and red vest under a green coat. He had long blonde hair, grey pants, and yellow eyes.
Larry. The Normal type specialist turned into a Flying type specialist…No- it was the other way around. Larry had always been more powerful than all of the gym leaders combined when involved in an invoker battle. Despite his normal appearance, his acrobatic abilities are second to none. It was the exact reason why Geeta demanded that Larry only do invoker-less, traditional battles, or 'Normal battles' as a gym leader. That way Larry never would have the chance to show his true power. But as an Elite four member, he could use flying types, and had permission to go all out.
Rika. Geeta's assistant, and one of the most powerful trainers she has ever known. Despite her laid-back personality, Rika took battles very seriously, and always gave her all, no matter what. Before Nemona, Rika was the closest to ever defeating Geeta in a one-on-one battle. She was the very first Elite four member before the rest were assigned and has devoted herself to training.
"I don't think I need to tell you how extraordinary these trainers are," Geeta said. "If you were to fight even one of them, you would be in for the fight of your life."
"You should think twice about this, Kai," Larry said. "No one has ever fought the elite four all at once. It's been one at a time, and for a reason."
"He's right," Rika said. "And trust me, I know you want to look gutsy in front of Geeta, but I'd think things through if I were you. If you want a real chance of winning, I'd fight us one at a time. It's smarter."
"Don't throw away your chance at victory just because you want to show off," Hassel said.
"You're gonna get yourself all beat up if you aren't careful!" Poppy cried.
Geeta stared at Kai, and waited to see if he would crumble under the pressure. Instead, Kai slowly began stretching his arm, then his other arm. Everyone watched as Kai stretched his legs one at a time. Meanwhile, Kai's group all moved away, giving space for the battle that he had yet to call off.
"Oh, you guys stopped talking?" Kai said once he was finished stretching. "I was wondering when you guys would stop yapping and start fighting."
Geeta genuinely couldn't help but smile, but she managed to turn her back before Kai could see it.
"You're making a mistake," Geeta said. She hid her smile as best as possible and replaced it with a scowl. "But if it's a beating you want," Geeta turned once she was able to look as intimidating as possible. "Then it's a beating you'll get."
Geeta looked at the elite four members. "Do it," She said.
All four elite four members pulled their shirt sleeves and revealed their invokers, which were in the form of watches. After pressing the button that showed the invoker sigil, their armor appeared in a flash of light.
Then, all four elite four members threw their Pokeballs, and out of them came their respective Pokémon.
Rika's Pokémon was a Clodsire.
Larry's Pokémon was a Staraptor.
Hassel's Pokémon was a Noivern.
Poppy's Pokémon was a Corviknight
"Don't hold back," Geeta said. "I command all of you to use Terrestrial fusion."
All in unison, all four Elite four members pulled their Tera orbs and crushed them.
Kai didn't look away from Geeta even as the four pillars of light that erupted all pierced the clouds above.
Once the geysers of light faded, it revealed the fused forms of all of the elite four members.
Hassel's form was unique, one that he attained once he had bonded with his Pokémon to the point of being inseparable. He managed to change the normal form of a Noivern weapon, which was a megaphone, to instead a book, which was open and floated in front of Hassel. The book itself was reminiscent of the coloring of a Noivern's scales. Hassel's armor shared the same color as his book, which looked more like the jacket he was wearing previously which was floating as though it were under water. Hassel was also floating above ground- and his body shone red.
Behind Poopy, whose feet were no longer touching the ground, were long and wide metallic-like wings that flapped proudly in the wind. Her armor had turned into black. plate-like armor. In one hand, she wielded a sword, and in the other, she wielded a shield. Her helmet was reminiscent of Corviknight's head- the beak served as the visor, which was open, revealing her bright smile.
Larry didn't look much different- save for the dual pistols which had colors reminiscent of Staraptor's feather colors that he wielded. He held his arms together in a cross shape as he brought his weapons close to his chest. His armor was seemingly gone, but it was now see-through- his suit and tie were still there. He genuinely looked like a hired gun.
Rika had a shovel in her hands, but it wasn't an ordinary shovel, it had purple spikes around its head, which looked like the spikes Clodsire would extrude if threatened. The dirt mixed with a purple, poisonous coating was also on the shovel head. Rika's armor was colored brown, but she didn't have a helmet on.
All four Elite four members walked toward Kai and surrounded him as he pulled out a Pokeball and dropped it beside him. Out of it came Armarouge, who stood tall and without fear.
"Last chance to back down, kiddo," Rika said. "We're dead serious."
Kai activated his invoker, and with a flash of light, he was clad in armor. It shone red for a moment, indicating its link with Armarouge.
"Hey…" Poppy said, "Both Armarouge and Kai are still looking at Geeta- they aren't even paying attention to us!"
"Does he not realize the situation he's put himself into?" Larry asked.
"Perhaps we need to educate him!" Hassel said. "Follow my lead!"
Hassel flew high into the air. The rest of the Elite four watched Hassel move and then leapt into the air with him.
"Dragon..!" Hassel roared as the pages on Hassel's book began turning rapidly. The librarian waved his arms like a magician and shot his open hand at his book. "Pulse!" He cried- a purple-colored beam of light shot down at where Kai was standing.
Poison began bubbling up around Rika's weapon as she spun it above her head. A wave of poisonous energy flowed around her weapon. "Poison…Wave!" Rika cried, aiming the head of her shovel down at Kai and firing a blast of liquid poison.
Poppy raised her sword above her head and pointed it down at Kai. "Steel Beam!" She cried. A grey, steel-type beam shot out of the tip of her sword and at her opponent.
Larry aimed his two pistols at Kai. "Brave Bird!" He cried. The bullets he fired were shaped like tiny birds- which flew like torpedoes after his opponent.
As all the Projectiles flew after Kai, he pulled out his Tera orb and then threw it into the sky. Then, his other hand began to shine red as an Aura Sphere appeared in his hand, which he aimed at the ground.
Just then, The projectiles of all of the Elite four struck Kai and Amarouge all at once. An explosion of dust erupted at the moment of impact. As the explosion roared, Geeta turned her head to the rest of Kai's friends. Among the faces, Geeta saw the horrified look of Arven, the look of stupefaction on Penny, the look of awe on Nemona's face….and the complete calmness of Aeon's face.
Geeta furrowed her brow in confusion as she looked back to the site of the explosion: Where Kai was standing.
The smoke was slowly beginning to fade away, and the one standing alone was not Kai.
It was Armarouge.
He was completely unharmed, and he had a look of determination on his face. His eyes, which now shone blue, were aimed squarely at Geeta. Behind the fire type was a hole, that had suddenly appeared after the dust from the explosion settled.
Then, Armarouge yelled at the very top of his lungs. Fire erupted from the fire type's body as it used the move Overheat. Several fireballs began flying out from its body and flew at the Elite four members all at once.
Armarouge fell to his knees with exhaustion, and suddenly, a red ray of light shot from the hole behind Armarouge, and returned him into his Pokéball.
Meanwhile, the elite four members had scattered. Rika and Larry landed on the ground and began sprinting away from the onslaught of flame projectiles coming their way. Larry did several backflips, dodging the oncoming salvo as Rika was just running. Rika spun her head, saw that a blast was coming her way and crossed her arms to defend herself.
As the blasts kept smashing into her, a shadowy, ghost-type shadow loomed below Rika's feet, and just as Rika noticed it and looked down, she saw Kai's rising fist from the shadow. The uppercut Rika received was powerful enough to knock her off of her feet.
As Kai and his Houndstone leapt from the shadow created from his Phantom Force attack, the boy smirked.
"Hello," He said. Rika looked up at Kai with a glare and widened her eyes in terror when Kai ruthlessly aimed an open hand at her. "And goodbye," Kai said. A Shadow Ball began to form and grow bigger.
Poppy saw an explosion of ghost type energy leap into the sky as she floated in the air. She flew toward the explosion, realizing that it could have been Kai who did something, as none of her teammates had a ghost type.
Once she reached the site of the explosion, she looked down and Rika lying on the ground and tilted her head in confusion. Poppy never heard the sound of a Pokémon being returned into a Pokeball. She did, however, see a Pokeball flying up to her face. She swung her body to dodge and looked up,, seeing Kai's Tinkaton come from the Pokeball ball and holding her hammer high. Just before Poppy could dodge, she felt someone grab her legs. She looked down and saw Kai hanging on her.
"Did you know that Tinkaton can learn Thunder wave?" Kai asked.
"Wha-!?" Poppy yelled in pain as electricity sparked around her entire body. She could do nothing but look up in horror as she saw Tinkaton diving in with a Megaton Hammer attack.
Hassel had no idea if the loud, earth-shattering noise that rang in his ears was the fireballs that were exploding by themselves as he flew away from them, or if it was his comrades finding and fighting Kai. When Hassel turned his head, he noticed the flaming projectiles all exploding at once without touching him. Hassel flew down toward the ground. Larry fell from the sky and landed with a crouch behind Hassel. The eyes of both men darted back and forth in search of Kai, who was nowhere to be found.
Kai's Pawmot ran past them at incredible speed- thunder trailed behind it as it zoomed past both men, who noticed it quickly.
Hassel moved in front of Larry and raised one hand to the sky.
Draco Meteors flew from the sky and fell toward Pawmot, who moved in a zig-zag motion to avoid the attacks and close the distance.
Larry took a few steps back out of caution and didn't notice Kai zooming in from behind him with a thunder punch, which struck Larry on the back. Hassel spun his head to Larry, and before he could shout his ally's name in worry, Pawmot closed the distance and struck the dragon-type trainer's stomach with an Ice Punch.
Both men were sent flying in opposite directions.
Every spectator, including Geeta, was watching with looks of sheer surprise. Geeta's mouth was wide open as Kai returned his Pawmot to his Pokeball and walked toward the spot he had begun the fight with the Elite four. The spot that he had used Aura sphere on to dig a hole as his Armarouge used Protect. Then, he raised his arm and caught the Tera orb that he had thrown in the air previously.
Geeta genuinely had no words- nothing to say. She was...astonished. She watched as Kai put away his Tera orb and approached her. She saw his eyes turn blue as he came face to face with her.
"I wanna make one thing clear to you, Geeta," Kai said. "I love this," Kai continued. "Showing off as much as I can, feeling the rush of turning my doubters into believers. Putting myself in the worst possible positions just to get my heart to race and win anyway? I love it. I always have."
Kai's hair slowly turned white, and his eyes turned red.
"My newfound confidence got me the boy of my dreams," Kai continued. "It got me the respect of my peers. It felt like a fever dream. It felt like the moment I lost; I'd lose everything and wake up to reality. But I was wrong. My friends have my back no matter what. The respect I was worried about losing was my own. I thought about what happened when I snapped. I was planning to throw my pride, my reason for fighting, everything away for the sake of beating you. But the moment I stopped caring was when I realized... how much weight I put on myself. I live to turn doubters into believers, but I couldn't turn myself into one. I thought that deep down, I was a big phony. I could believe in myself here and there, but it would fade away the moment I thought I faced someone better than me."
Kai clenched his fist and put it close to his chest. A tiny eruption of Flow energy exploded around Kai, creating a blue-colored aura around the boy and turning his hair completely blue, which flew majestically in the wind. "Never again." Kai said. Kai took steps toward Geeta, and Geeta hurriedly made steps back backward, as though she were in fear.
"Do you want to know why I wanted you to watch me destroy the elite four?" Kai said. The automatic front doors of the Pokémon league opened for them as Kai continued to back Geeta into the building. "I wanted you to see how wrong you were when you said I wasn't ready. I wanted you to see that this isn't an act. Not anymore. I am going to prove to you, myself, and the rest of the world, that I am the strongest trainer to ever live."
Kai walked past Geeta, who froze in place. Kai went to the elevator and pressed the button. The automatic doors opened for him immediately.
That was when Geeta finally closed her mouth.
Geeta was supposed to be the one intimidating Kai. Why was it now…that she felt a chill run down her spine?
Regain your composure, Geeta thought to herself. Geeta knew that she herself was able to do the exact same thing that Kai had done, but still… The fact was that Kai was now…substantially stronger than he was before...
Perhaps even stronger than her.
No. He didn't surpass her.
Of course. That explained why she felt that chill. It wasn't because she was afraid that he surpassed her- no, no. It was because it was frightening how strong Kai had become in a matter of weeks. Yes, that was what it was.
She should have felt proud of Kai, happy that he had come so far. The boy who was meant to save the timeline had finally become stronger.
Perhaps even stronger than her.
There it was- that pang of anger- that pang of pride that arose the moment that thought reared its ugly head. 'Perhaps he was stronger than her.'
No. No.
Geeta grited her teeth in defiance.
"Don't think it'll be easy..." Geeta said.
"Don't misunderstand, Geeta," Kai said. The elevator doors opened in front of him, and he turned his head to Geeta. "I don't think it'll be easy. I know it'll be easy."
A cocky smirk came to Kai's face, and Geeta clenched her fists. Kai had said those words as though he were a villain taunting a hero.
"What's wrong? Are you angry?" Kai asked as he spun around.. "Anger's a good motivator; I learned that from you."
Of course, Geeta was angry. How could she lie to herself that she wasn't at least a little frustrated that Kai had surpassed her? No. She wasn't just frustrated.
She was absolutely livid.
Geeta's eyes shone blue when they widened with fury.
How could she run away from her pride- the very thing that Geeta Rojo told her not to do? She may have well had spat on her grave at that point.
"There we go! Those eyes, right there, that's what I want to see!" Kai cried. "I don't want to beat you in one shot like the others, I want a real fight from you!"
Geeta's rage wasn't just aimed at Kai. It was aimed at herself for cowering in fear in the first place. How could she do that?! She'd been through too much, and fought too strong of opponents to back down. Geeta Rojo would be ashamed...!
Geeta's eyes turned red, and her hair turned white.
"You're not going to beat me," Geeta said.
"Sorry," Kai's smirk widened and tilted his head. "What was that?"
She had been worthy of the title of the top champion. Losing that wouldn't mean she'd lose her friends...but..!
Geeta's hair and eyes shone bright blue.
"You're. Going. To Lose!" Geeta cried.
Kai began laughing loudly. "Yes! Yes!" Kai said. "Go on then! Try and beat me. Show me and the entire world that I was an idiot to challenge you!"
Geeta wasn't thinking about the timeline anymore. She wasn't thinking about being proud of Kai, nor was she thinking about how fast he had beaten the elite four.
Kai wasn't thinking about doubting himself. He wasn't thinking about what was going to happen in the future, or what had happened in the past.
The only thing on each of their minds...was the thought of beating each other.
Kai and Geeta's hair both shone white, and their eyes turned silver at the same time, and neither of them realized it. They glared at each other intensely for what felt like a long time.
The sound of the elevator dinging caught both Trainers' attention. Their hair color reverted to normal almost immediately as they then turned to each other.
For a while, they were silent.
"After you." Geeta said, extending a hand.
Kai walked ahead, entering the elevator, and once Kai went inside, so did Geeta.
Neither of them said a word in the elevator, nor did they even glance at each other.
Author's note:
I really hope you enjoyed this chapter. I enjoyed writing this chapter- it's the most fun I've had with writing this story for a long time. (Not saying writing the other parts was boring! This Part'll have a special place in my heart...till I write something more exciting, at least.)
I felt like Kai EARNED this chance to pop off. Here are some fun facts about this chapter:
Fun fact 1: I was a bit iffy about doing another time-skip, but I felt like the wait for the fight between Geeta and Kai was going on a little too long. I also did the time skip so that when the narration was heavily in Geeta's POV, she and the reader would share that surprise at Kai's jump in strength.
Fun fact 2: The fight with the elite four is heavily inspired by a certain fight in Dragon Ball Z. (To be honest, a LOT OF THIS STORY is inspired by Dragon Ball Z.) If you can guess what the fight was, I'll give you an invisible cookie.
Fun fact 3: During the scene with Kai and Geeta, I tried to put in the four 'requirements' in their conversation so that it could match the transformation requirements with Flow. In case you're going to review the scene to see where I implemented it, here are the rules so you don't have to go back and forth in the chapter:
Rule 1: The user must believe in themselves.
Rule 2: The user must stop believing in a lie they created.
Rule 3: The user must stop suppressing themselves.
And finally Rule 4: The user must be completely in the Present moment.
Here's a freebie: Kai entered the second state of Flow (aka, fufilled two of the 4 rules) when he said to Geeta that he loved doing what he does.
Thanks for reading the chapter! See ya' next week...
(If my classes don't destroy me, that is...Darn you, Math!)
