New York, Manhattan
With a gun pointed at the clerk's face, a man dressed in dark clothes wearing a mask demanded cash from the register. "Hurry the fuck up!" he shouted in a hurry with his body language showing how nervous he was.
As the clerk was rushing to grab all the money, another person was watching the scene. The sound of a drink being slurped from the being caught the attention of the robber and clerk. Turning to face the person, they were both shocked to see who it was.
Laying on the side on top of the shopping counter was a female dressed in a costume covering her whole body with the lower part of the mask pulled up to allow her to drink soda from a straw. Her costume was primarily black with a light blue spider symbol on the back, light blue spider web patterns from her elbow to her fingers, a black hood with light blue spider web patterns in the inside, a black mask with white eyes and black cat ears that poke out in the hood, and a moving black tail at her lower back.
"Oh! Don't mind me. I'm just watching the show. Carry on, the good part is coming" she smirked moving from her laying down position to sitting down and drinking.
"Show? Good part? What the fuck are you talking about?" he asked confused until his eyes widen behind his mask as he realized who he was talking to.
"Shit-" "There it is" she interrupted before throwing her arm out and launching a web from her we shooter around her wrist. It latched onto the weapon which she pulled from his grasps and into her hand. A quick clinch and the pistol were broken into different parts. "Ooooo! Your weapon is broken. I wonder what the robber is going to do next in the movie" she added leaning forward with excitement.
Panicking the man made a break for the exit triggering a trap he didn't see. Along the floor was a line of web which tripped him up and caused him to fall flat on his face hard. Before he could get up webbing was shot pinning his body to the ground.
"Wait don't move!" she spook running to his side. "You can catch the sudden case of more bad ideas. Stay here, I'll get the police to help you" she laughed at his anger face.
"Fuck y-" A web was sprayed onto his mouth closing it. "Ah, the symptoms are starting! Keep your mouth shut so you don't spread it" she interrupted before looking over to the clerk to see the man ok and thanking her from behind the counter.
"Thank you Spidercat! You're a true hero!" the man shouted in joy as she gave the man a finger salute and walked outside the door to see a police car pull up.
The officer jumped out and aimed his gun at her. "Freeze Spidercat! You're under arrest!" he shouted as she raised her hands up with one still holding the drink. "Oh whoops" she laughed throwing the drink behind her as it landed on the crook's head who groaned at the drink spilling on him.
"Officer Stacy, you know how this will go. You say freeze, I say something amazing, you become stunned at my amazingness, and I get away" she explained as he glared at her. "Not this time! You're coming in vigilante."
"Sure it is. See you said freeze already. Now it's my turn." Using her hand to clear her throat "you will always remember this as the day you almost caught Captain Jack Sparrow" she finished confusing him to lower his guard.
"What?" he asked, confused, as she slipped a black smoke pellet from her wrist and slammed it down on the ground causing a black smoke screen. "Dammit!" he yelled running into the smoke looking for her, but when it cleared the only thing that was left was a black stuff animal cat with a note on it.
Better luck next time
Reading the note he slammed the toy on the ground as she looked down at him from the side of the building five floors up. Seeing his anger expression gave her a smirk as she pulled the rest of the mask down and flipped up to the roof in remarkable acrobatics moves.
Landing on the roof she pulled out her phone and started flipping through the current news. J Jameson complaining about me again. The world is still going nuts about the fact that Tony Stark revealed himself to be Ironman. Something she thought was crazy of him. He should have kept it a secret. Oscorp are planning a conference to reveal their new groundbreaking invention, even though the world is still focused on Ironman/Tony Stark. She could look over this later, she had to get home before Aunt May started to worry.
A sprint followed by a leap; she was floating through the air. Clapping her arms to her side and her legs together, she opened them back up to reveal a light blue web that connected the limbs to form a wingsuit. Quickly catching air, she was flung higher into the air and now gliding through the skyscrapers heading for Queens.
Looking down as she passed over the citizens, streets, and cars, she thought about how much progress she had made since the change. Four years have passed since dawning the mask after getting bit by the spider and test cat enchantment serum spilling on her and the bite wound at Oscorp. Then her Uncle Ben die right after in a mugging when she arrived too late. She wonders if he would be proud of all the things she has done. Petra Parker, Spidercat, hero to some and vigilante to others. Wanted arrested by the cops and dead by crooks and villains.
Landing at her window ceiling soundlessly, she opened the window and quietly let herself in. Closing it behind herself, she removed her suit to reveal her athletic and perfectly tone body, with a figure that models would kill to have. Removing her mask fully reveals her long brown hair with hazel and specs of yellow in their eyes. The clothing also revealed something that she hid from everyone. Two black cat ears on the top of her head that she covered with her hair and a long black cat tail that she wrapped around her waist as she has full control of it. Hiding the costume, she put on baggy clothing to hide her form to go downstairs to greet Aunt May.
"Petra! Finally, you come out of that room" she greeted walking up to her and giving her a hug to which it was returned. "You are a senior in high school. You need to be out more and form more connections. I have no worries about you when it comes to college as you are a genius, but you do need to improve that social life" she explained giving her a warning look as Petra laughed it off.
Aunt May. Having long brown hair and a in shape body at her age was inspiration to woman who knew her age. "It's ok. I have friends that I hang out with. Like Ned, Mary (Jane), Harry, and Michelle (Jones)"
"Well go hang out with them more often, instead of your room. Now I need to head to bed. I got an early shift in the morning. Food is in the fridge if you're hungry. Love you" she finished giving her a kiss on the cheek and walking off.
In the end she decided to warm up something small and eat it on the couch with the lights off accept from the light from the tv that she watched from underneath her covers. Jumping onto the couch and laying against her was a black cat that she named Felicia. Felicia gave off a purr as she lightly petted her fur through the night.
Next day
Waking up bright and early Petra washed up and got dressed for school. Wearing casual baggy clothes, she had her tail wrapped around her waist hidden under her clothes and her cat ears covered by her hair. Saying goodbye to her cat Felica, she finished her outfit with a hat covering her head and putting on her bookbag.
It didn't take long for her to reach her school and there waiting for her were her friends Ned, Harry, and Michelle. Upon seeing her, they waved her over to which she greeted.
"Morning Petra!" greeted Ned stepping up next to her. "I still can't believe that Tony Stark is really Ironman. Who knew" he laughed as Michelle released a groan.
"We know, we know. He is Ironman. It does make perfect sense since he is a genius billionaire. I'm just more focused on graduation. It's only a few months away" stated Michelle reminding them on what to focus on.
"Well. I'm sure everything will be fine. Now let's go before we become late for first" Harry stated leading the way into the school.
Entering the school, they passed through the crowded corridors to get to their lockers to see two freshman students arguing with each other. Looking them over Petra recognized them as Gwen Stacy and Miles Morales. Two younger kids she tutored on the side as they had trouble with some advance problems.
Stepping up to them she gains their attention by asking what's the argument is all about. Gwen answering first complained that "my father has become such a headache to deal with since he has been competing with his (Miles) dad for the position of Captain. They think capturing Spidercat will give them that promotion, but it won't as they can't catch her! He isn't doing anything to help control his dad so he will stop riling up mine!" she finished pointing at Miles.
"And she doesn't know how hard it is to help control my father! It's best to just let them do whatever and stay out of the way. She needs to just relax and ignore it. It can't be that bad" finished Miles crossing his arms as that was the wrong thing to say based on Gwen's increasing anger.
"Listen. Let's just finish this later. There are only a few more months of school and you have that upcoming field trip to Oscorp soon. It will probably be better than many" Petra said trying to ease the tense situation. After all the school knew about her feeling sick after the test tube fell on her but not about the spider bite. The two wanted to argue more but seeing the time, they walked off to head for their classrooms as she did the same. Hopefully today won't be too crazy.
Afterschool on Patrol
She spoke too soon. Crouching on top of a vehicle she watched as the villain known as Rhino marched up to her. With each step on the street, it released large thuds along the ground as it craters it with its footprints. The massive man in his gray rhino costume was over double her height but luckily not faster or smarter than her.
"I'm going to finally crush you like a bug spider-puss!" he roared slowly picking up speed into a full-on sprint. He lowered his head, so his sharp horn was angled to pierce her. Leaping to another car roof she dodged the charge as it smashed into the car, she was at with the horn stabbing through it.
"Spiders are not bugs! And calling me a spider-puss is just plain rude" she told off as Rhino lifted the pierce car on his horn up and through it at her. Leaping again, she stuck to the side of a building this time. "You know how this is going to end. Like always, you being knocked out and waking up behind bars. And me relaxing on my bed later, enjoying my freedom and a slushy. Maybe watching a movie. I might even be a little daring and eat some popcorn" she joked. "What makes you think now would be any different?" she asked as her spidey senses went off.
Reacting on it she flipped further up the wall to dodge a bolt of electricity. Looking to see where it came from, she noticed another person hovering in the air with electricity coming off of him. "Electro" she mumbled. "I just had to ask" she stated as the man smirked at her.
"Here, kitty kitty kitty" he teased charging up. "Now it can't be worse" she spoke as the sound of thrusters was heard and a metallic landing in the street.
"I heard animals broke free from the zoo" stated the new arrival Ironman as her eyes narrow a bit at him. "I'm not sure if his arrival is a good thing or bad thing" she muttered as she can imagine a mini Spidercat on her shoulder shrugging as well. She is a vigilante according to some.
