Chapter 83: Pre Festival Tour!
The festival got closer and closer to the extent everyone was getting ready for it. On the weekend everyone was practicing.
The dance team was practicing in front of the dorms.
That was when Eri showed up.
"Izuku !" she called out.
Everyone stopped dancing as they saw Eri run over.
"Eri!" cheered Izuku.
"Are you practicing for the thing you're doing!" said Eri.
"We are!" said Ochaco .
"Where's Kacchan and Shoto?" asked Eri.
"Kacchan is part of the band playing music. She's going to be playing the drums." Explained Izuku.
"Oh cool!" said Eri, "What about Shoto?"
"He's behind the scenes." Said Izuku.
"He helping make special effects for the show with sparkly snow." Said Ochaco.
"That sounds so pretty!" said Eri.
That was when they saw Mirio and Inko nearby.
"Hey mom!" said Izuku.
"We're giving her a tour of preparation." Said Inko.
"Oh cool!" said Ochaco.
"Can you come Izuku?" asked Eri.
Izuku was about to say.
"Why don't we take a break for a while!" said Mina.
Everyone looked at Mina.
"She's too cute! I really don't want to disappoint her..." said Mina.
No one wanted to argue with her…
"Do you want us to join too?" asked Toru.
"Of course!" said Eri.
"All right!" cheered Toru.
Of course it was clear that Ochaco, Tsuyu and Tenya were joining in on the tour as well. Which made sense.
Then the special effects team showed up.
"Hey Dance squad! WE got to talk!" called out Kirishima.
It was clear that Shoto was going to join.
Of course they had to tell Katsuki.
"Oh come on!" mentally yelled Katsuki.
"Mina's giving us a break right now so that's why we're able to it… thankful the break is going to be a bitter longer than we thought. Explained Ochaco.
"She doesn't want to disappointed Eri." Explained Toru, "Also talking with the special effects team…
Katsuki just grumbled.
And so they looked around the school which despite there being a lot of time before the School Festival everyone was getting ready for it.
However that was when a huge dragon appeared, it was a prop being carried by members of Class 1-B.
It did statelet Eri though.
"Are you oaky?" asked Izuku.
"I'm, fine I didn't know what that was." Said Eri.
"It's okay." Said Tsuyu.
"Oh you're ignoring us?" asked Monoma, "Well you should know our play will blow your little performance out of the water…. Romeo and Juliet Return the King and the Prisoner of Azkaban! It's a completely original story!"
"No offense but if everything you just described, it sound like none of that is original at all." Said Tsuyu.
"You know nothing!" yelled Monoma, "And soon we will show everyone that our class is support, even if you have All Might by your side!"
And then Awase smacked him in the head with a piece of wood, not only knocking him out.
"As a member of the staff I have to tell you take him to Recovery Girl." Said Inko.
They noticed that Monoma wrote Awase's name in his own blood.
"You're right." Sighed Awase.
"Where is Kendo?" asked Tenya./
"He was more unhinged than usual." Said Tsuyu.
"Yeah Kendo is busy with the beauty pageant." Said Awase
"There's a beauty pageant?" asked Izuku.
"Aizawa didn't tell us that." Said Ochaco.
"I don't we should; surprised he didn't tell us." Said Tsuyu.
"Considering how our class is treated." Sighed Izuku.
"Well there's something I should show you ab out the beauty pageant." Said Mirio, "I heard she's going out this year!"
"Who?" asked Ochaco.
"The runner up the last two pageants!" said Mirio.
The members of Class 1-A were confused, however it turned out Nejire was participating and she was trying out some dresses.
"Eri!" cheered Nejire seeing the girl.
"You're the runner up?" asked Izuku surprised.
He kept the ret to himself as his girlfriend was right there.
"You are so pretty and you're second place?" asked Ochaco decided to voice what she thought was going through her boyfriend's head.
It helped she was friends with Nejire due to doing work studies together.
"I haven't won because of this one girl named Bibmi Kenranzaki of support course 3-G." Said Nejire.
"Kendo's competing this year, and she has a following because of her Shampoo commercial. So Hado's giving it her all." Said Amajiki who then started to spiral thinking about performing himself.
"I first did it at Yuyu's suggestion." Said Nejire.
Yuyu was her best friend who was indeed helping her.
"It's great, the thrill, the defeat, the victory!" said Nejire, "I'm. taking it all this year, my last chance!"
And of course there was the next stop… which was the Support Course. . Which had a very popular event go o where all of the support students showed up off was they could do.
And as a member of the Support Course, Melissa was there. And she was working on a prototype suit of some kind .
"Wait you're doing a project?" asked Izuku surprised.
"I know…" said Melissa, "A lot of people will be looking at me in both good and bad ways…"
She sighed at that.
It was clear to everyone that this was getting to her. After all with what happened to her dad it made sense that an event where
"So what are you budling?" asked Eri.
"A power suit." Said Melissa, "It's only a prototype and it wud take years to perfect. But it's an idea I've had for a while."
"Oh that's so cool!" said Izuku.
"I'm sure it will get a lot of attention!" said Tenya.
Melissa nodded and smiled.
That was when there was a loud explosion and everyone began to sweat.
"What was that?" asked Izuku.
"It sounds like Mei again." Said Melissa.
"Wait… isn't she that girl who made the tournament of the Sports Festival?" asked Ochaco.
"Do not remind me." Muttered Tenya.
"You saw the footage?" asked Tsuyu.
"I did." Said Melissa.
It was very infamous what she did to Tenya after all.
Sometime later they were getting something to eat in the cafeteria.
Eri was drinking some juice.
"So are you excited?" asked Toru.
"Oh yeah! It looks like so much fun!" cheered Eri, "And everyone is working so hard! I want to see how it turns out!"
Everyone smiled at that reaction.
"Now that is excitement!" said a voice.
They turned turn to the a nearby table and saw Nezu and Midnight eating lunch…
With Nezu gnawing on a cheese slice like crazy.
Though judging by Inko's lack of reaction to her boss gnawing on cheese like crazy it was normal reaction.
"I'm excited for the festival as well." Said Nezu, "It's my job to encourage my students. To encourage you to make the best possible attention."
Especially after that business with the police." Said Midnight.
"I know." Agreed Inko.
"Enough of that." Said Nezu, "I have places to be, I do hope you kids enjoy it."
As he walked off he thought about the meeting he had with the police about what was going.
"What happened?" asked Shoto.
"It's not something we should go into details." Sighed Inko.
"The principial really put himself out there, he ruffled some feathers to make this happen." Said Midnight.
"Security will be tight and if an alarm goes off, even by accident the festival will have to be canceled and everyone will be evacuated." Said Inko.
Everyone was worried.
"Oh right! The staff heard everything about what your class is doing." Said Midnight, "They love the power of youth!"
"Midnight… can you please not talk about my son's class like that." Said Inko with a strained smile.
Midnight started to sweat.
"I can't wait to see your show!" cheered Eri.
And so as the weeks counited everyone got excited.
There was a slight change in the Dance team/'s roster, as Sato joined the back stage/special effects team as they didn't have a mechanism to have Aoyama be a disco ball.
But other than that the planning was going well.
One night… something happened which at the time didn't seem important.
Yaoyorozu always made tea and that night was a really rare but delicious tea called Golden Tips Imperial.
Izuku was watching some videos on his phone when he mis-clicked.
"Deku you want some of Yaomomo's tea?" asked Ochaco
It the video he clocked on a was man talking about tea.
"That's fitting!" said Ochaco.
The man talked about the rare and fancy tea he drank before and after the job he had planned. And since the tea he was drinking was very fancy it would mean his job/video would be something quite impressive.
"That video is really disliked." Said Ochaco seeing the like dislike ratio.
"Yeah." Said Izuku, "I've heard of him, he's a villain that films his crimes and puts it up online."
"Wow! Really?" asked Ochaco.
"It's surprising that he hasn't been caught yet." Said Izuku.
"I wonder what he's planning." Said Ochaco.
Was neither of them knew was that the villain's next plan would be closer than they though… it would end up being a very unexpected experience for sure…
Next Time: Izuku does a favor for Sato to buy some rope. However he runs into a fan... however that fan is not what she seems as she and her companion have nefarious plans. Will Izuku be able to handle... or will he end up using the nuclear option... find out next time!
A/N: Just to be clear, the reference to the suit is meant to be an easter egg. My plans for the story's ending is WAY different than canon for obvious reasons. But yeah... just a fun little easter effect...
