Tore and Robin walked for what seemed like ages until they finally made it outside Ba Sing Se's main gate.

"Welcome to Ba Sing Se! Your names?" An Earth Kingdom guard asked.

Tore smiled.

"My name is Torebion Teira! This is my daughter, Nico Robin Teira." Tore said.

Robin looked at Tore with shock then smiled with love and compassion.

"I'll never get used to this.. my dad.." Robin smiled to herself.

"Sounds fancy! Welcome to Ba Sing Se Mr. Teira!" The guard said, letting Tore and Robin inside the city.

Robin stared around with shock and awe, she had seen plenty of cities before of course, but not one like this.

The architecture, the history of this place was far different than anything she saw back home.

"Wow..." Robin said.

Tore smiled and lifted their bags.

"It's amazing is't it? A thousand years ago this place was called Nroc, home of the Lizard People!" Tore said, "The city was known for the massive wall protecting it. That place was a mess though.. all of this was for a while, until at least four hundred years ago when Ba Sing Se was first founded." Tore said.

Robin always appreciated Tore taking the time to fill her in on any history he could.

"Come on! Let's get to our hotel so we can get some rest. Tomorrow is the big day!" Tore said.

Robin smiled but then became serious.

"Yeah!.. The library.." Robin said softly.

"Oh shoot!!" Tore said.

Robin looked at Tore worrily.

"Wh-What's wrong father?" Robin asked.

Tore looked at Robin with a big goofy smile.

"I can't find any yuan in my bag!! Berries obviously won't work here and I can't convert my berries into Yuan because.. well... they technically don't even know Berries exist! Heh heh heh..." Tore chuckled.

Robin smiled softly.

"It's fine pop. We can camp out here in this field." Robin said.

Tore smiled even bigger.

"You're such a sweetheart! Just like your mom! But I'll get us some Yuan don't you worry!" Tore said.

Robin blushed at the mention of Olivia.

"Mom.. I wish she was here with us.." Robin said softly.

"I do too Robin." Tore said, lifting Robin's head and smiling.

"Come on! We're making our way to Avatar Rd in the upper class area of the city! That's where our hotel will be." Tore said.

Robin nodded as Tore turned with all of their bags in his arms.

"W-Wait!" Robin said.

Tore looked back.

"Robin?" Tore asked.

"It's just.. we don't have any money. How will we get a hotel?" Robin asked.

Tore smiled big.

"We'll be fine Robin! Just let your old man worry about that!" Tore smiled.

Robin stared with innocent confusion as the father daughter duo began to walk.

Dubois Castle

Nagashima twitched as he slowly opened his eyes to see Kraken reading a newspaper. The two were still on the side of Dubois' castle.

Nagashima looked around, then at his hands, then blinked, then shot up.

"HOLY SHIT I'M STILL ALIVE?!?! IT REALLY WORKED?!" Nagashima yelled, waking Kraken.

"N-Nagashima! Hey buddy!" Kraken said with a big smile, "What the hell happened to you? Are you alright?"

Nagashima groaned as he began to move slowly.

"Cyclone happened... I came back from burying your buddy and opened a portal to get to you all... for some reason he and his crew appeared on the other side!... He snatched me inside immediately.." Nagashima paused.

"At least.. he thought he had me!" Nagashima said.

Kraken stared with confusion.

"What-What do you mean..?" Kraken asked.

Nagashima grit his teeth.

"I know-I know this is gonna sound crazy.. but.. I ever tell you I met Psycho before?" Nagashima said.

Kraken's eyes widened softly before shaking his head slowly.

Nagashima looked to the side.

"It was a few years ago.. before you and I first met.. I had just eaten that devil fruit probably a few days before.." Nagashima said.

Kraken continued to listen.

"It was weird... the guy just randomly showed up on the random island I used to train my abilities.." Nagashima said.

"He had to have known you were there or going to be.. he was watching you.. he-he didn't attempt to steal the fruit from you?" Kraken asked.

Nagashima shot his head at Kraken.

"No!... He actually... gave me advice..!" Nagashima said.

Kraken was completely shocked.

"And this was Psycho who did this?" Kraken asked.

"If he's the same guy with black markings and red highlights you've been fighting all this time to defeat then sure... it was him for sure!" Nagashima said.

Kraken thought about what he's heard of Tore's kind hearted nature, as Nagashima began to tell the former admiral what happened.

"According to what I know from Dubois.. that sounds like something Tore would do...! Maybe I missed something the last time I was hear it seems.." Kraken said, looking back at the castle.

Flashback

Nagashima held a rock and conjured a portal, throwing the rock into the portal and the rock flying out another portal behind him.

WHACK!!

"ARGH! God damn it!! There has to be a way to control where this shit flys out from!" Nagashima yelled.

"The cosmo cosmo fruit.. I've been looking for that power for a while." A man said.

Nagashima looked back at the man.

Psycho stood in front of Nagashima in his standard attire, his bandage over his left eye, the black markings and red highlights on his hair ever present.

Nagashima backed up and got ready to defend himself.

"Back up! You don't want to fight me! I-I don't know what to do with this power! I might destroy this world on accident!" Nagashima yelled.

Psycho stared at Nagashima for a bit before leaning down and picking up the rock that hit Nagashima's head.

"I think you'll have to work on your rock tricks a little more before you're ready to destroy anything." Psycho said.

"SHUT UP!!!" Nagashima yelled, "I found this fruit fair and square. It's all I have to survive these lands.. I'll be damned I go back home..."

"Back home?" Psycho asked.

"Yorknew City.. I was kind of a big business man over there." Nagashima said, trying to open another portal, "Until- Nah I don't want to talk about it.."

Psycho stared silently.

"Yorknew City... interesting." Psycho said.

Psycho smirked, taking a good look at Nagashima.

"You look a lot like someone I know." Psycho said.

Nagashima sighed and looked at Psycho.

"That's cool and all buddy, but to be honest you're kind of freaking me out. If you're gonna kill me just do it and get out of here.. I don't have anything to live for anyway.." Nagashima said.

Psycho snickered and looked down.

"You know what.. I don't think I'll do that. Like your abilities, I think I'll play chess." Psycho said.

Nagashima looked at Psycho with confusion.

"Wh-" Nagashima started.

"It is called the "cosmo" fruit, stop limiting it to throwing items in portals and put some actual work in.. expand your mind a little." Psycho said.

Nagashima looked at his hands then back at Psycho.

"And what the hell do you know?!" Nagashima yelled, "If you know something tell me! You said you've been looking for this fruit, so you do know something?!

Psycho continued to stare at Nagashima, seeming to be making a decision in his mind.

"I will tell you this one thing and one thing only." Psycho said.

Nagashima locked in on the mysterious man.

"That fruit's awakening allowa you to merge parallel realities. In all of these realities you own your devil fruit. If you ever feel your life is in danger you can swap yourself with another one of you and allow your parallel self to die in your place." Psycho explained.

Nagashima couldn't believe a word of any of this.

"Wh-What? This fruit... can do all that?!" Nagashima yelled in confusion, "I'll be invincible!!"

Psycho continued to stare.

"Once your clone's feet touch this reality, you will lose your devil fruit abilities." Psycho said plainly.

Nagashima felt his world come crashing down.

"What?! Then why the hell would I care-"

"Because, you impatient imp, because you are from this base reality, you cannot stay in another timeline, only pull from. You will eventually be expelled back into this base universe. And when that happens your fruit will have already reincarnated not far from the clone's body." Psycho explained.

Nagashima's eyes were filled with shock.

"N-No way.." Nagashima said.

Psycho smirked.

"A little form of immortality and a guarenteed access to your fruit again. It's a win-win." Psycho said, "Only once you awaken your fruit."

Nagashima became agry again.

"And how the hell do I do that?!" Nagashima yelled.

Psycho had begun to walk away.

"Once your will has aligned with your fruit you will awaken your special abilities. And prove to me I made the right decision." Psycho said.

Nagashima was once more confused.

"Right decision?! About what?!" Nagashima yelled.

Psycho held up a hand as he walked away.

"We'll see." Psycho said.

End of Flashback

Kraken listened to Nagashima's story with awe.

"Before I came back here I sent a clone just to be safe.. and he got snatched up by Cyclone! I was able to watch from a pocket dimsension while he killed my clone..." Nagashima revealed.

"Staying in that pocket dimension still drained my stamina rapidly... I used the last of what I had to come back here.. I'm guessing that's when you found me.." Nagashima said softly, beginning to cry.

Kraken's eyes widened under his glasses.

Nagashima looked away.

"He killed... That-THAT WAS ALMOST ME!!!!" Nagashima cried, "If not for Psycho... I..." Nagashima was hysteric.

"I DON'T WANT TO DIE ANYMORE KRAKEN!!! I'VE-I'VE FINALLY BEGUN TO FEEL HAPPY AGA-" Nagashima was stopped when he was hugged tightly by Kraken.

Nagashima continued to cry softly as he hugged Kraken back.

When Nagashima hugged Kraken back his shoulder brushed Kraken's glasses, knocking them off and revealing Kraken was crying too, from rage and anger.

Tears only fell down the right side of Kraken's face as his tear ducts in his left eye were burned during his fight with Cyclone and Psycho.

Kraken continued to grit his teeth in seething rage while he comforted his friend.
