The Silverstien House

By Zachary Hale

Driving down Mayberry Street of Mayberry, Georgia, a coastal town along the golden isles, you will find a house at a far street corner.

It is a bronze, Queen Ann style house. It it's not like the other Queen Anne houses on the street. It's a tall, two-story building that stands over the intersection like a cathedral. It has a steep roof, with a pitchfork fence around its top. It has a porch that runs from both sides of the first floor. The porch roof has a round, front corner tower with a cone top. Steps are placed across the porch from the front door and leads to a sidewalk that runs right through the yard, into the street corner.

Through the front door is a furnished foyer with brown, patterned wingback chair, a cornered grandfather clock and a staircase. The walls are made of ebony wood, that shined with a polished glow. A scarlet Persian carpet spreads across the floor. A glass chandelier hangs overhead like the heaven lights themselves.
