This story takes place in Marie Route's timeline. This is my first fanfic that I've written entirely in English, and since I'm Brazilian I usually only write in Brazilian Portuguese, but since this fanfic will only have a maximum of 10 chapters, I think I can try to write it in English. (PS: sorry for any grammatical errors.)
Leon's point of view
I was looking at the refugees from the republic that I had saved and brought to my floating island.
The republic of Alzer, where the setting of that second otome game was, was destroyed. If only Marie and I had taken the trouble to go there and see how things were... No! There's no point in dwelling on the past. The important thing is that I need to make sure that Olivia and the other capture targets from the first game don't suffer the same fate.
Since my floating island is completely uninhabited, except for the robots, I offered it as a place for them to stay.
But the scene I'm seeing isn't exactly happy. The people looked downcast, still in shock, probably from having seen their country burn, and only a few families looked happy and relieved to have escaped with their lives.
The houses that Luxion had the robots build looked like those expensive American neighborhoods where the houses are next to each other and they all look very similar.
"I still don't have the words to show my gratitude to you, Baron."
The man who said this was called Oliver, he was one of the knights who served the Rault house before it was extinguished.
"No need to worry, I'm just doing the right thing... by the way, how are the other knights?"
"They're fine, they're fulfilling Lord Albergue's final order to help all the survivors, but..." Oliver and I stopped walking and he spoke in a thick and spiteful voice, "But many of them still want revenge."
"Oliver has said a thousand times that Lelia is under my protection!"
The Rault house was the first to try to realize that something wrong was happening, but Lelia thought they were the villains because of that Otome game and made the capture targets Emile and Serge get in their way, that was one of the things that made the republic fall.
When we found them, they were all willing to give their own lives to kill Lelia's.
Oliver snorted, "I'm not talking about her, Baron! We're talking about the daughters of the members of the six great nobles!"
"What? Did other members of the six great nobles survive?"
Oliver nodded his head up and down then spoke.
"Yes, and they're having some trouble adapting to their new environment, so be careful, okay?"
Oliver then walked off to help the refugees.
"What the hell? What kind of trouble can a few princesses cause?" I asked myself.
Right now, Luxion is still wandering the world looking for any signs of remnants of the old humans, and Marie is spending the summer at her friends' house, so I'm alone.
I finally decided what to do next and clapped my hands excitedly. "Well! I think I'll go relax in the hot springs for a bit, I haven't been there in a while."
Third person point of view.
In Leon's territory there is a hot springs house that he built with the goal of being a tourist attraction in the future.
But although it is fully ready and operational it has not yet been opened to the public because Leon has not yet graduated.
However, a person could be found inside it taking a relaxing bath in the waters.
"Ahhhhh this kind of thing is incredibly relaxing but when I get out of here the people outside will still be mad at me."
Her name was Lindsey Leta Barriere, she had long orange hair, canines that could be described as "cute fangs" and a fringe covering one of her beautiful golden eyes.
Despite the warnings that the bathhouse was closed she went in anyway because not only did she want to escape the melancholic mood of the other refugees but also because she was not used to following rules.
"If only that stupid older brother hadn't overdone it," Lindsey said to the sky with an annoyed expression.
Lindsey was Loic's younger sister. When it became clear that the republic would be destroyed, Lindsey's parents, in a desperate attempt to save their lineage, sent her to the Rault house airship.
But now that the disaster was over, Lindsey was blamed by the survivors of the republic along with Lelia and the other surviving princesses because their houses did nothing to prevent it.
(Dad wasn't very smart either, now that Alzer was destroyed, what's the point of our lineage?)
Lindsey, who was thinking about what she was going to do since she was now alone, hid underwater when she heard footsteps.
(Damn, did they find me?)
She thought it was the surviving Alzerians who were intimidating her after they landed, so she hid.
But then suddenly she heard an excited voice shout from above the surface.
"I miss this place so much! And it's just like I remembered it!"
(Damn, who is this?)
