The Horse, the Panther, and the Shield Maiden
Hotel, Tokyo Japan
A young man had walked out of his hotel to his car; he was going to a concert invited by the emperor.
He was handsome, of African heritage, and was dressed in a black suit with a colorful scarf over his right shoulder. He was also surrounded by female bodyguards, his sister, and his fiancée.
This was T'Challa, King of Wakanda and the hero, the 'Black Panther.'. "I heard about these performers brother." Said his sister, who was beautiful, had caramel-streaked brown hair and was dressed in a red and gold pantsuit. "They are magnificent," her name was Shuri.
"Well, I wouldn't think the Emperor would steer us wrong." He said so they got to the concert. Not knowing that they were being followed. You see, Wakanda sits upon a huge meteorite of a special mineral named 'Vibranium.'.
They say a small chunk of it would buy a small country. The ones following him want to hold him for ransom for it. Once everyone reached the concert, they walked in, and so did the kidnappers.
"Okay, we'll wait till he's alone." Said one of them, "Then we'll get him." So, they waited.
T'Challa had sat down next to the emperor, and they greeted each other. "Your Highness," said the Emperor."I thank you for accepting my invitation to the concert."
"It was my pleasure, Imperial Highness." Said T'Challa. With that, the concert had started.
The lights went out, music started booming, and just then the stage started to change; huge DJ setups appeared, and people started to get on them. Everyone was cheering and dancing; lasers were going everywhere.
Some of the setups started to fly around with a male on the left one and a female on the right.
The male was in a black hoodie with green day-glow trim, black cargo pants, boots, and a gas mask. He had mini fans on his setup because he was sweating and his hoodie was opened.
Underneath the hoodie was a white Under Armour top, soaked with his sweat.
On the one going right was female, and she was in a sleeveless, red hoodie, a black nose and mouth mask, black gloves, cargo pants, boots, and an LED belt. She also had fans blowing on her. But she was worried about her male partner. 'He's going too hard,' she thought. She sent a message to one of the other two DJs on the stage. "One of you got Ranma's pen? He's going too hard again."
"I got it, sis." Said a young woman in yellow on the right side of the stage. The girl that was flying with him and flew down to the stage and the one in yellow tossed her an epi pen. She flew behind the male, leaped off of her setup, and landed on to his behind him.
She took the pen and jammed it into his neck. He groaned and she took over the controls as she gently laid him down on it. People were getting worried, even the Emperor and T'Challa.
She landed the setup on the stage and had one of the roadies take him to the back.
The concert continued, later after the concert.
T'Challa was about to leave when he was surrounded by kidnappers. "You are coming with us, Your Highness!" Said the head kidnapper.
But before anyone did anything, the man had come rushing out and started to fight the kidnappers, taking them out.
He had one and was about to break his neck when T'Challa stopped him. "WAIT!" The man stopped but didn't let the kidnapper go. Just then they were surrounded by women; every one of them was in red dresses, wearing gold jewelry, and had spears. With the 'business end' pointed at the kidnapper.
"Give him to us; he shall be tried in Wakanda." So the man let the kidnapper go; he looked at T'Challa and did something that surprised even his stoic general. He crossed his arms, dropped to his knee, and bowed his head. "Thank you for your service, young man. Tell me, are you alright?" The man looked up at the king and rose and bowed his head.
Then the woman in red had caught up to them.
"Adam!" She said they looked over and saw her.
She heard wheezing coming from Adam.
"Oh no." She grabbed him, "My apologies, your Highness. We must depart."
"What is wrong with him?"
"He has a virus in him; it's slowly killing him.
I'm sorry, your highness." With that, they left. T'Challa was thinking.
"My King?" said his general.
"I want to invite them to Wakanda; I wish to help him."
With the DJs
The male was coughing up a lot; blood was coming out, and it had blue streaks in it. "It's getting worse, Ranko," said the one in yellow.
"I know when I get my hands on those bastards…!"
"R-Ran-ko…" Started the guy.
"NO! You Don't Get Any Say In This!" She glared and softened. "You worry about healing Ran-kun." A woman in black and white came up behind him and gave him the medicine. He went to sleep; the one who gave him medicine started to cry.
"If he dies..." She started; she couldn't finish.
The one in yellow took her in her arms and let her cry on her shoulder.
Just then there was a knock on the door. Ranko went to see who it was. It was the general; Ranko got a good look at her. She was tall and well built, yes, but she was bald with tribal markings stretching over the top of her head to the sides.
The outfit she wore was basically a battle gown or robes. She had a long spear in her grip and an envelope in her other hand. "May I help you?" She asked, and she stamped her spear to the floor with a loud *CLANG* and looked Ranko in the eye.
"The King of Wakanda, T'Challa, has invited you to play for him and be his guest at his sister's birthday!" She said strongly and handed her the invite.
Ranko looked at it. "I don't know. Adam's not feeling well and how did…" then the lights went off.
Once they came back on, a man, dressed in a black outfit with a mask with cat ears on it, appeared.
"The 'Black Panther'?" Just then he took off the mask; it was King T'Challa! "Holy…!"
"I know who you are," he said. "Mix Mistress Eve; Ranko Saotome." He looked over to the ones in yellow and white: "N3K0; Koneko Saotome and Sound Angel; Tenshi Saotome. Thank you for your performance this evening."
"Then you know Adam's…" Started Ranko.
"Ranma? Yes, I do."
"Forgive us, Your Highness, we're terrible hosts." Said Tenshi as tears still fell from her eyes. "Would you two like something to drink?"
"We won't be here long, Tenshi-san." He said, "The reason why we are here is that we'd like to make an offer to help Ranma."
"But the virus... no one's been able to cure it." Said Ranko.
"I assure you, we can do it."
"We were told no one could cure 'Leviathan.' That's the name of the virus." Said Koneko."It basically drowns the victim from the inside out." She went over to Ranma and opened an eye; they saw his capillaries a sky blue, almost as blue as his iris. "It's getting worse."
"We can have him in Wakanda in no time." T'Challa said, the girls looked skeptical.
"The last person that wanted to help him did this to him." Said Koneko. The general got mad.
"YOU DARE?"She screamed, and T'Challa stopped her.
"No Okoye," he said. "They have every right to be skeptical. I promise, on my word as the Black Panther, I will get Ranma the help he needs." The others looked at Ranko, who sighed and nodded.
"Alright, but if he dies, Wakanda will be wiped off the map and her people a distant memory!"
"Ranko, if he dies, I will allow you to do it." So, they placed Ranma on a futuristic stretcher and took him to an awaiting ship on the roof of the building the four own. Then they headed to Wakanda.
