Eno-on: So Taven has joined the cast and Jade has begun her redemption arc, in any case Mileena and Jade have someone who can teach them.

~Chapter 27 Expedition Preparation~
Mileena actually felt reluctant to return to work with the Special Forces, she'd had so much fun with Lewis even after the camping trip ended, and while Mileena had admitted to herself how she saw the doctor she couldn't bring herself to ask if the feeling was mutual.
Mileena was surprised upon returning to work, Sonya looked different, her stomach was starting to swell up, Lewis had a knowing smile when they saw the Major.
"I can see you want to say something" said Sonya.
"You.. look different" Mileena started slowly.
"Well, I am pregnant" replied Sonya "so of course I'm going to look different"
Mileena remembered the lessons she got from Lewis over the past month "oh, okay"
"A few things have happened during your time away" Sonya started "Sareena took custody of one of the children you saved from the Lin-Kuei, Mia I think"
"Good for her" said Lewis with a genuine smile "any other news?"
"Jade has actually started to help us" Sonya smirked "I know it's pretty surprising, but hopefully this is a change that sticks around, she and Raiden went to investigate a set of coordinates that the Lin-Kuei were interested in"
"Why were they interested?" Mileena couldn't help but ask.
"We detected the signature of another realm" Sonya answered with a smirk "Jade and Raiden found an Edenian in stasis, his name is Taven, currently he and Jade are training"
"Excuse me" Mileena said quickly before departing for the training room.
"I figured she'd want to go talk to him" Sonya shook her head "so how did your time off go?"
"I think we had a good time, I took her camping just like…" Lewis trailed off 'just like my mother did with me'
"Doctor?"
Lewis shook her head "sorry, I just realized there's something I need to do"
Jade took a quick step backwards, knocking away the oncoming jab with the tip of her staff, only to be taken down by a quick leg sweep.
"You're quick on your feet" Taven commented "however you leave yourself vulnerable, as if you're expecting someone to cover your weaknesses"
Jade sighed "I told you how "I was moulded into an assassin for Shao Kahn alongside princess Kitana" I've always fought along side her" Jade explained "I guess I just never got used to idea of fighting alone"
Taven considered everything she had explained to him, from the conquest of Edenia to the invasion of Earthrealm a few years ago.
The door to the training room opened before any conversation between them could continue, Jade recognized the person in the entrance way.
"Hello Mileena" she greeted "I didn't realize you would be back today"
"Yeah, me and m- Lewis are back" Mileena replied, she turned to face the sole male in the room "hi, I'm Mileena"
"I am Taven" he replied "I am afraid I have been told very little about you Mileena"
"There's not really that much to tell" she sighed "I was created by Shang Tsung to replace Kitana, during Outworld's invasion I was captured by the Earthrealm warrior Kabal, I was held as a prisoner and interrogated for information on Outworld but when I learned about Kitana's death I just shut down" Mileena awkwardly rubbed her neck, refusing to meet anyone's gaze.
"Eventually I came face to face with Kitana again, she'd been corrupted into a revenant to serve Quan Chi, meanwhile my comatose state left me unable to stand" Mileena paused, clenching her fists "Kitana… nearly beat me to death"
The silence in the room was deafening, remembering the way she mocked Mileena in the Netherrealm, especially her goal of saving Kitana, Jade felt sickened by her past actions 'and she was still willing to apologize to me about breaking my staff'
"I'm sorry what has happened to you" Taven said finally "what is your goal now?"
"I want to save Kitana" Mileena answered, she received an odd look from Taven "I want to believe that the way she acted was because of Quan Chi's corruption"
"I will say nothing, you are free to do as you wish" Taven said stoically.
"Anyway, enough about me" Mileena shook her head "what's your story?"
"I am Taven, son of Argus and Delia" he started "father was a god and the protector of Edenia, mother was a powerful sorceress who had the power to see visions of the future" he paused for a moment "I also have a younger brother Daegon, I do not know where he is now, but he should be safe with Caro"
"Who is Caro?" Mileena couldn't help but ask.
"Orin and Caro are two dragons who have known my father for centuries" Taven explained "they were ordered to oversee my brother and I while we slept" he paused for a moment "Orin said that my parents had designed a quest to be some sort of competition between my brother and I"
"Do you think there would have been some kind of message left behind for you?" asked Jade.
"I hadn't considered that" Taven frowned "I suppose even though my parents are gone, this quest is something they prepared for my brother and I"
"I guess we'll need to talk to Sonya about going to Orin" said Mileena.
Sub-Zero was quite impressed with how quickly the Special Forces got to work, after he had explained cyberization from his perspective, they were disgusted with suppressed free will.
Thanks to Mileena recovering Hydro's body, researchers were able to develop a virus to activate free will in cyber Lin-Kuei, this was the perfect tool to eliminate Sektor and those who had willingly followed him.
When he approached Ashrah for assistance, she agreed immediately "this is a grave injustice and I will do my best to aid you" she said "this virus will also provide us with allies against this 'Sektor'"
"Thank you for your aid" Sub-Zero bowed slightly "I reluctant to ask Sareena, due to her new responsibilities"
"I believe you should still ask her opinion" Ashrah replied "whether or not she chooses to join you on this task is her choice"
"You're right" he nodded "we shall see if she wishes to join us"
