"I should go back home, Xander." Johnathan said softly, although Lt. Ford, who'd remained with them and to keep an eye on Dr. McKay since no team member was supposed to be out of sight of another member, to avoid problems. Especially McKay who could apparently, like most scientists, could get lost in a scientific fog and not notice a Wraith had snuck up on him until it was practically feeding on him. "I need to eat soon." Still refusing to say feed because that's what vampires did, he was a human with special dietary needs. The wording helped remind him he wasn't a monster because he'd gained aspects of a demon after saving a child's life. "I need to eat before I crash."
"Blood sugar problems?" Ford asked. "Dr. McKay's hypoglycemic, he gets even crankier if he doesn't eat at regular times." He looked sympathetic and was happy to see people closer to his age, just last week they'd gated to a planet where no one lived past 25 because of a suicide pact the people on the planet had created in order to limit the power consumption of a ZPM powering a forcefield. If these people could really teach them to refuel the ZPMs they could expand those kid's shield and allow more people to safely live on the planet. Dr. McKay had managed to stabilize it so they didn't have to kill themselves any more, but with a full ZPM they could do more than just survive.
"Something that like." Xander said vaguely, the truth was Johnathan's business. Xander placed two fingers against the sling ring and murmured. "Home." Aiden watched, fascinated, as Xander drew orange energy in a circle and inside the circle four people, 1 adult, two teenagers the same age as the others and a girl who looked about twelve appeared. "Hey, ladies Johnathan, Mrs. Summers and Ms. Calendar are coming back home."
"Me too." The girl who transported them out announced. "Call if you need back up, Xander, but right now I need to make sure my guy gets what he needs." Aiden blinked as the very attractive blond girl took the very obvious short geek's hand in hers. "You shouldn't look so surprised." She told Aiden. "Geeks are in, you know." She grinned good naturedly as she read his expression. "He's a hero, he kisses great, pays attention and some day he'll be a millionaire. I hit the jackpot." The others laughed as the two teens, along with an exhausted Jenny and Joyce, stepped though the opening and into the living room beyond and the portal shut down behind them.
"You opened a wormhole through time and space, between galaxies and another reality." Aiden looked astonished and he really was. Young he might be, but he had graduated college. He might not understand it on a scientist's level, but he could grasp the magnitude of technology that could do that.
"Today's the first time we've tested it between galaxies." Xander told him. "Theoretically, I knew it was possible, but we'd never had a need to go to another galaxy before. I went with Colonel O'Neill when he went to ask the Asgard for help when he'd accidentally downloaded a repository into his head, but we went by Stargate and the Asgard brought us back on one of their ships, so there was no need to test it then. Than someone kidnapped our mothers for their idea of a prank and sent them each to different realities and sent us on wild goose chases to yet other realities in an effort to find them. I managed to get a tracer going, when we're done here, I'll be tracking down the imp and explaining to them just why the Scoobies' mothers are...off limits, shall we say, to pranking." Aiden took in the hard, angry looks on the kid's faces and thought about how he'd feel if his grandparents, especially his grandmother, got snatched and sent off somewhere and all because of someone's idea of a prank and knew, he'd probably beat the shit outta whoever was responsible. He had no pity for whoever it was who thought it was a bright idea, because it really wasn't and Jenny Calendar could have died before they got to her, one more victim of the Wraith. A possibly unintended consequences because AG 1 hadn't known the Wraith would target this world and maybe the prankster hadn't either. But that didn't change the fact that she'd ended up in danger because of said prankster.
Before he could comment, his own communicator signaled and he answered it. "Elizabeth wants to meet with them." Colonel Sheppard told him. "Beckett and his people, along with AG 2, will be coming through to give the people a look-see. Head for the 'gate, we'll wait for you."
"Will do." He acknowledged and relayed the conversation to the Scoobies. The girls had been cleaning their weapons while they waited and now tucked the cloths away. The tall brunette took Xander's arm and the brunette with the knives stepped up to his other side. Aiden had the passing thought that she maybe was his bodyguard because he relaxed and let her be on alert for awhile as he tucked the taller girl's hand into his side and smiled at her, getting a brilliant smile back. As they walked to the Stargate Xander told Aiden each of their first names. The third girl, Kendra as she was introduced as, a very pretty girl who smiled shyly at him followed along behind, keeping alert for trouble behind them. He wondered if anyone would mind if he invited her to have lunch with him in the cafeteria. And then mentally slapped himself because she couldn't be more then eighteen and he'd just turned twenty seven. His grandparents would kick his ass if he tried dating a teenager at his age.
