The sun hung high over the bustling Commercial District of New Los Angeles, casting playful shadows on the ground as Tatsu, Lin, and Cross wandered through the marketplace. The air was filled with the chatter of vendors and the enticing aromas of street food.
"Look, look! Tatsu see Tora!" Tatsu exclaimed, his eyes wide with surprise. He pointed at the rotund figure of another Nopon weaving through the crowd, a rival from his past.
"Great, just what Tatsu needs—another reminder of the past," Lin sighed, rolling her eyes.
Cross chuckled, "What's he talking about?"
"Tora talks about the Dodonga Caravan!" Tatsu said, his voice rising in excitement and disbelief. "Tatsu can't believe it! He thought they were lost!"
As they moved closer, Tatsu could hear Tora boasting to a group of Nopon. "We, the mighty Dodonga Caravan, are building something extraordinary in Noctilum! It will be the envy of all!"
Lin raised an eyebrow. "Dodonga Caravan? What's that about?"
Back at the Blade Barracks, Tatsu was pacing back and forth, his little feet tapping rapidly on the floor. Lin crossed her arms, an amused but annoyed look on her face. "Tatsu, STOP pacing around already! What's so important about this caravan?"
Tatsu paused, raising his head with a mix of pride and nostalgia. "Tatsu explain! Nopons are travelers, yes! A caravan is named after their leader!"
Elma nodded thoughtfully. "So, Dodonga must be a Nopon leader. What does that mean for you, Tatsu?"
"Dodonga is special to Tatsu! Tatsu was born in the Dodonga Caravan, and his mother still lives there!" Tatsu said, his voice filled with warmth. "But caravan moves every few days, and Tatsu lost track of it after the Prone captured him. Tatsu feels... lost."
Cross scratched his chin, contemplating. "Why not go back, Tatsu? We could check on them and let them know you're okay."
"Yeah!" Lin added, her irritation fading. "You shouldn't be left wondering. It's time to find your family."
Tatsu's determination rekindled. "Tatsu agrees! Tatsu is ready to face it! He will find the Dodonga Caravan and show them he is safe!"
Elma smiled, a spark of encouragement in her eyes. "Then let's do it together. We'll find them."
With newfound resolve, Tatsu beamed. "Yes! Dodonga Caravan, here Tatsu comes! Adventure awaits!"
The trio set off towards Noctilum, ready to embark on a journey that would lead Tatsu back to where he belonged, proving once and for all that no Nopon is ever truly lost.
As the group ventured deeper into the enchanting realm of Noctilum, the atmosphere shimmered with mystery. The soft glow of bioluminescent plants lit their path, and soon they found themselves in front of a fascinating cave known as Whale's Nostril.
"Look over there!" Cross pointed excitedly. "Is that a village?"
Tatsu, his ears perked up in delight, exclaimed, "Yes, yes! Tatsu sees it too! That's a village full of Nopon! Tatsu wants to go meet them!"
As they approached, two little Nopon rushed toward them, eyes wide with wonder. "Look! It's Dadapon!" one squeaked, tugging at Tatsu's sleeve.
Tatsu chuckled, shaking his head. "No, no! Tatsu is not Dadapon! Tatsu is Brotherpon! Tatsu's friends here are Cross and the team!"
Just then, Tatsu's loving mother, Koko, arrived, her gentle smile illuminating her face. "Oh, Tatsu! You're back! And you brought friends!" She knelt down, looking at the children. "Now, now, little ones, remember who Tatsu really is! He is your Brotherpon!"
Tatsu puffed out his chest with pride. "This is Cross, and he is the one who helped Tatsu! Tatsu's friends saved him!"
Koko's eyes glistened with gratitude. "Thank you, Cross, for bringing Tatsu home! I was so worried about my little one." She turned to Cross, a motherly warmth wrapping around her words. "You are so kind and charming! Tatsu is lucky to have a friend like you."
Tatsu beamed, glancing at Cross. "See? Tatsu has a nice family! Tatsu is grown-up now, too!"
"Really?" Cross laughed, raising an eyebrow. "What's your secret, Tatsu?"
Tatsu grinned mischievously, adjusting an imaginary pair of glasses. "Tatsu needs glasses to prove it! Tatsu is very grown-up!"
Koko's expression shifted to one of concern. "Oh, Tatsu! Those glasses… I thought you were lost, so I threw them away. I didn't want anything to remind me that you might not come back!"
Tatsu's smile softened, realizing the depth of his mother's worry. "No need to worry, Koko! Tatsu is here now!"
Cross's eyes sparkled with determination. "I can help! I'll go get those glasses for you, Tatsu."
"I can help too!" Lin chimed in, her enthusiasm infectious. "Let's follow the current and see if we can find them!"
With renewed energy, the group set off, Tatsu's heart swelling with gratitude for his friends and family. As they ventured toward the water, Tatsu couldn't help but feel the warmth of togetherness in their laughter, knowing they would overcome any obstacle together.
Cross, Elma, and Lin eagerly followed the rushing currents toward Primordia. Excitement buzzed in the air as they navigated the lush terrain, their hearts racing with anticipation. Sadly at first there was no luck, finding them.
Suddenly, Tatsu spotted something darting through the trees. "Wait! Tatsu sees something!" His eyes widened with surprise. "A dinosaur-like creature! It has the glasses! We need those!"
Without a second thought, Cross took off like a rocket. "I'll get them! Don't worry!"
Elma shouted after him, "Be careful, Cross! That thing looks fast!"
"Don't worry about Tatsu!" he called back. "Tatsu is here to help!"
As Cross sprinted after the creature, he quickly realized it was far more agile than he had anticipated. He lunged forward, trying to grab the glasses, but the creature zigzagged, dodging his outstretched hands.
"Come on, you little dino!" Cross grunted, determination etched on his face. He lunged again, tackling the creature in a dynamic wrestling match. Tatsu and the others cheered him on.
"Tatsu knows you can do it, Cross!" he shouted, jumping up and down.
After a fierce struggle, Cross was shaken off, but he wasn't ready to give up yet. "I won't let you go!" he yelled, rushing back for another attempt. His persistence paid off, and with one last effort, he managed to snag the glasses from the creature's grasp.
"I got them!" Cross exclaimed, holding the glasses triumphantly in the air.
"Tatsu is so proud of you, Cross!" Tatsu shouted with glee, bouncing on his feet again.
With the glasses safely in hand, the team hurried back to Whales Nostril. As they entered, Koko looked up, eyes wide with hope.
"You found them!" Koko cried, rushing over to them. "Oh, Tatsu, you have the best friends!"
Tatsu smiled, feeling warm inside. "Tatsu loves Cross and Elma and Lin! Together, we can do anything!"
Koko took the glasses with gentle hands and helped Tatsu put them on. Instantly, Tatsu felt a profound connection to his father, the esteemed Heropon of the Year. "Tatsu feels… like he can step into his father's shoes! Tatsu will one day be the leader of the caravan!"
Elma laughed, "You've got what it takes, Tatsu. We believe in you!"
As they prepared to set off on their next adventure, Koko looked at Cross and the crew, her expression sincere. "Please, look after Tatsu. He means so much to me."
Tatsu's heart swelled with happiness. "Don't worry, Tatsu will always have amazing friends looking out for him!"
With the future bright ahead of them, Tatsu dreamed of leading the caravan one day. An incredible journey awaited, filled with friendship, courage, and endless adventures!
