From the old world's demise. See an Imperium rise. From Terra reaching far. Here we are!
Horus is inside of a planet with Abaddon. He faced an old man on a throne and without a word. He killed with an electric magic ball. He turned toward a new Chapter Captain who has managed to break inside of the throne room before him and giving him a salute of respect.
From the old world's demise. See an Imperium rise. From Terra reaching far. Here we are!
Salem sited on the Emperor's throne, then looked at the sky with anticipation and curiosity. As she is slowly surrounded by her sons who looks in the stars altogether. Without forgetting her granddaughters.
Ep 75: Rematch.
971.M30. East of the Galaxy.
The XVth Legion exploring inside of the galaxy. Magnus was observing the stellar map in question in a close attention. He was focused on it and clearly tense.
After all, he was always on guard because a hidden dangers ready to jump at him at any moment.
He let his new adopted daughter back on Prospero, he deemed her to not be ready to fight alongside him. After all, making human relationships was already hard for her after such isolation. This is not even worth the pain to make her participate in traumatic battles.
Here he was, looking inside of the stellar map.
At one moment, a figure approached him. It was a familiar space marine dressed in his dark and red armour, with four horns and skeletal appendages.
"Are you okay my lord?" Marteus Olon asked him.
"Hm… we are exploring new worlds. So, I am on guards." Magnus responded.
"Of course, of course… But for now, we have not detected something or felt something weird around. It seems to be fine." Marteus Olon said.
"Hmph… Maybe but we have to stay on guard." Magnus responded.
"Of course, but I am just saying this because, these moments of calm are… relaxing." Marteus Olon said.
Magnus doesn't respond. Marteus looked at his lord and turned back to his guard place.
"So, when we will reach this system?" Magnus asked a crewmember.
"Three days of warp travel." The crewmember responded.
"I will go in my private apartments. Marteus Olon will take the operations for now." Magnus said.
He goes out from his throne and goes out of the bridge.
A bit later, Magnus is inside of his apartments.
It was filled with books, racks of personal magic weapons. A desk with chair. And other furniture.
But in the middle of the room, there is a table, hold by a receptacle, it has a big crystal who possess a pure silver colour. The crystal was huge, big enough that he could hold in his hand.
This crystal, he has taken from the moon where he fought the Brothers Gods from last time. This thing could detect their presence or even planets where they have left their mark.
He has taken upon himself to search these rare planets where the Brothers could have created somewhere.
But until now, his crystal didn't glow a little even after visiting hundreds of planets.
Magnus didn't have a time to look at it, he has something to write instead.
He sits down on his desk and began to write about magic tricks he has learned on his book who is now in its IXth Tome.
He was studying about the Dark Magic, the most pure and profound depth of its nature. He has understood that the Dark Magic is not necessarily evil but simply a chaotic force that it's difficult to control, requiring a lot of training, self-restrain and a strong will even only to remotely use it.
The Dark Converted magicians, now named in Prospero as the Abyssians are few and spread across the whole Imperium who is itself in perpetual expansion. But they are powerful, more than any other magicians, capable to kill dozens of Xenos like the Orks in each attack. Their sensitivity about psychic powers and magic is gigantic, they can recognize by the presence only the taint of warp powers and act thoroughly.
But it came as a cost. He has saw that the Abyssians has formed a cast from the rest of the magicians. After all, on Prospero and other planets. They were the most likely to pose a lot of trouble, numerous of Grimm invocators has committed crimes before being stopped. Others, who has been recently converted became a shadow of their former selves, or even fallen to madness. It's because their emotions, they felt them more profoundly than anyone, especially the negative emotions. But for the ones who has birth from Abyssians of families are lot more of restrain since they are born like that.
And so, he is trying to refine the technics of meditations and self-restrain of the Abyssians.
But he was writing these new lines, he sees a small light on his pages.
"Wha…?" Magnus asked.
He lifted his head and sees that the crystal was glowing. It was weak but noticeable enough. Magnus rubs his eyes to see it's not a dream before lifting up his chair.
He approached the table and takes the glowing crystal to better observe it before bringing it to his table. He takes out from his desk a small hologram and posed it on the table. He lights it up, it displays a small map displaying a small stellar a bit more isolated than the rest of the region. The same region that his fleet is currently going.
"Hm… Another instant of meditation, I guess…" Magnus said.
A long travel later, the fleet of the XVth Legion hovered above the one and only planet of the system, it was lightened up by a white dwarf. The planet itself looks fertile.
Inside of the bridge, Magnus was holding like usual the hexagonal crystal, but now, it was brightening like a small silver sun in his palm. On his other hand, he has his magic spear.
"I will go in person with my personal guards. Keep the rest of the Legion in space to watch anything suspect." Magnus ordered to the fleet.
The nine captains make the military salute on their holograms.
"Hm… I do not think that it's a good idea to go another planet created by the Brothers. We received a beating last time." Marteus said.
"By the risk is worth it. We can discover a lot of wonderful things on this planet. After all, the Coloured Moon, our last possession has made breakthrough on magic studies." Magnus said.
"That's sure that bringing back the blessed plants on Prospero has been beneficial. But I think sometimes, we have enough knowledge." Marteus responded.
"If anything, bad happen. We will teleport back on the Photep." Magnus said.
"Okay… But I am still warning you father Magnus." Marteus said.
"Now let's go." Magnus said.
Magnus goes with one hundred and fifty of his personal which fifty of them are part of the Black Phalanx, another fifty are part of the Terminators they arrived inside of a room. Some of them, takes materials and devices.
They regrouped around Magnus, he put his hand on the ground and the latter glows. A huge magic pentacle appeared and surround the group, other magic circles appear on the air in addition and then in one instant… they disappear.
On the planet, the group reappeared on a big plateau.
"Good. We are on the planet. Place the device and so we are located." Magnus ordered.
One of the Thousand Sons placed a small communication tower and activated it. Magnus takes out a small device and put it on his right ear.
"Hello? Hello? Can you hear from the Photep?" Magnus called.
"Absolutely, and I detected your presence. You are right at the border of a mountain chain." Responded Marteus in the radio.
"Good. We are now in contact with the rest of the fleet. Now, let's advance." Magnus said.
He takes from one of the space marines, a detection device and put the crystal inside of it. He activates the tracker and a radar appears on the screen and began it's work of detection. Magnus adjusts the parameters to not detect his Space Marine and himself in the detection.
"Now, activate your devices as well." Magnus ordered.
They guards inserted their crystals inside of their trackers and activates them as well.
"Let's get sneaky right now." Magnus said.
The group began to move on the plateau and to walk to the slope of it.
"There is anything yet?" Marteus asked in the radio.
"No for now… I will contact you again if there is something new." Magnus responded.
"Okay…" Marteus responded.
After a long time passed, the group of Thousand Sons arrived a plain filled with rocks. Magnus ordered his troops to stop by raising his hand.
"Stop." Magnus said.
"What is happening?" One of the space marine asked.
"Look at your trackers." Magnus said.
The Space Marines discovers that at the exact place where the rocks are, they detect a high quantity of magic printing.
"What is happening down here?" Marteus asked from the other side of the radio.
"We have detected anomalies. Mark where we are right now!" Magnus said.
"Of course!" Marteus responded.
Magnus approached the closest rock formation and puts his hand on it, trying to feel the magic. It was some kind of primordial force inside of it. It was the same feeling he has felt from the presence of the Brothers.
Suddenly, the ground began to tremble. He looks at his tracker and sees that the magic blueprints skyrocketing all over the place.
Then the rock began to root itself out from the ground, letting appear two protuberances looking like arms and two other extremities making some kind of legs.
"Oh… Oh no… Prepare yourself!" Magnus ordered.
The space marines put back their trackers inside their armours and takes their blessed weapons out. All around them, other golems of rocks go out from the ground, surrounding the group.
But Magnus, and the other space marines of the ground uses their magic powers and managed to vaporise the golems out without too much difficulty.
Magnus looked back to his tracker; the magic blueprints fall to equal the blueprints spread all over the place on this magic planet.
"Hm… It seems that these gods won't let us take over this place as easily as last time. Let's go…" Magnus said.
"Should I send reinforcements?" Marteus asked.
"No but place them on standby…" Magnus said before he urges the group to resume their walk.
The group resumes their walk and engaged more profoundly in the plains for the next days.
As he advanced, he met other golems all over the place, reinforcing his doubts about the Brother gods.
In the seventh day, the group arrived in front of a river, inside of a forest. The river has deep blue colour.
He pointed his tracker to the water while touching the water with his free hand after planting his spear.
But then, the tracker detected a strong blueprint just in front of them, it was swimming inside of the water.
"Oh! Be on guard!" Magnus said to the Space Marines.
They obeyed and pointed their weapons toward the water, the river was moving, displaying the movements of something under it, who was going right to them.
Then, it jumped from the water and posed in front of the group.
It was a huge frog, measuring three meters long. The creature launched its tongue to Magnus and it managed to catch it's arm.
"Disgusting… Tah!" Magnus said before sending a blast who vaporised the creature.
"It seems that we are not welcome on this world." One of the space marines said.
"Hm… it seems to be so… be cautious." Magnus responded.
After other longs days, Magnus and the other discovered that creatures coming from Terra and many other Imperial worlds that the gods brought back. But some of them are monsters of big size made the apex of predators. Like giant insects, spiders, falcons and other things. The group managed to kill them with their powers.
As another week passed, the Thousand son reached the south west of the plains. The forest was gigantic.
But the troops heard some voices coming from afar. Magnus make sign to the troops to be sneaky, his crystal was inside of a small bag attached to it's belt.
Magnus used his good eyes to see what was happening and widened.
Afar in small dirt road, there are two humanoids but it wasn't any humanoid.
These are some kind of humans but they sported superficial ears and tails of foxes, one was red, the other was black and bigger. They were dressed in combat Kimonos, wearing crude steel swords on their hands. But the worse part it was the fact they were talking with intelligence and in the Old Remnantian.
"Ah! I can smell the scent of the meat from afar. Don't you see?"The black fox said.
"Hm… I can smell it too. (Snif! Snif! Snif!) Hm… A lot of meat, the village on the back will be happy." The red fox said.
He stumbles upon a small fruit.
"A fruit in front of me. It knew that I wanted a snack…" The black fox said. Taking the apple in his human-like fangs before eating it.
"Oh! Look!" The red fox pointing his finger to the group.
"Drat…" Magnus muttered.
"Huge packs of meat… Prepare yourself!" The black fox said while tossing aside the apple.
The two yelled and charged at Magnus… only to their swords slamming on an invisible barrier.
"Huh?" The red fox asked.
"I appreciate your audacity. But you are too weak." Magnus simply responded.
With a palm, he sends away the two foxes.
"Who are these?" The black fox asked.
"Don't you see? These are the Knights of the Celestial Army. I can feel their gigantic presence!" The red fox said with fear.
"Celestial army? He mentions the acolytes of the Brother Gods? Wait… they have acolytes now if it's true?" Magnus asked himself.
The red fox quickly kneeled before crouching in prayers, the black fox hesitantly followed up.
For Magnus, he couldn't believe what is happening. He was annoyed and doesn't want to be associated with the Brother Gods.
"Are you listening, Marteus Olon?" Magnus asked in the radio.
"Absolutely, father… We are facing a new kind of Faunuses... if we call them like that. I recognize the language of Fauna." Marteus responded.
He turned to the two foxes.
"Ahem… Foxes of this planet. We are not part of the Celestial Army or anything like that. We are part of the Imperium of Mankind. We are coming in peace." Magnus asked.
The two foxes stopped and rose up, before looking at the legion with incredulous looks.
"Imperium of Mankind? Never heard of it." The red fox said.
"What is your name, lord coming from the heavens?" the black fox asked.
"Magnus the Red, Primarch of the XVth Legion, the Thousand Sons. Son of the Emperor of Mankind and the Immortal Empress, Salem von Imperium." Magnus presented himself.
The two foxes looked at Magnus before looking at each other and muttering some words, they have an expression mixing scepticism and curiosity.
"So, my lord… Magnus. We'll bring you to our village, Yokai." The red fox said.
One of the space marines approached Magnus.
"Are you sure it's a good idea, my lord?" One of the space marine asked.
"Of course, we can gather information." Magnus said.
He turned back to the foxes.
"We will follow you." Magnus said.
"Then come with us!" The two foxes said before turning their back. Followed by the whole group of Thousand sons.
After a long walking, the group sees a small mountain next to a big clearing. It was a quite big village, with hundreds of houses, for hundreds of inhabitants. The village was surrounded with huge wood fences. On the summit of the mountain, there was a bigger house than the rest, certainly for the chief.
And so, the two foxes lead to the entry of the village. The guards, recognizable by their red combat Kimonos, stared in confusion of the group and Magnus especially.
The two foxes discussed with the guards and convincing them to let pass Magnus before going back.
"Lord Magnus, only you can come. The rest has to stay out." The red fox said.
"Stay here for now." Magnus said to his troops.
"But it could be a trap." The captain of the group said.
"I don't think so. We have to gain the trust of these people." Magnus responded.
He gives his spear to one of his space marines before turning back to the village.
And so, the foxes lead Magnus inside of the village. Magnus could see the men and women foxes sported different colours of tails and hair. They were either black, red or blonde.
They stared at the huge being that Magnus is, with wonder. The Primarch could see families, which was normal for him. But he could see that further he goes up to the mountain, the foxes around him has more tails sorting from their backs and they are all adults. Two, three, four and five. And Magnus could feel that more they possess tails, more powerful they are.
Finally, Magnus arrived to the small manor in question, guarded by four fox guards. There are larges sliding doors behind the wood wall.
The pointed their stone spears to Magnus, the guards were nervous.
Magnus lifted his hand up in the hair.
"I come in peace. I don't mean any harm." Magnus said.
"You cannot enter the house of the Elders without permission!" A red fox guard shouted.
Magnus doesn't respond and stays out here. He could feel from the inside of several high energies of magic. It's that the Elders these guards are mentioning?
But then, the sliding door open slightly. A hand with a paper on it. One of the foxes recognizable by his blonde hair takes the paper and reads it. He widened in surprise.
"What?" One of the guards said.
"The Elders want us to let him enter…" The guard said.
The other guards looked at Magnus before parting ways. The Primarch walked before crouching before opening the sliding doors, he closed them behind him.
The interior was filled with small furniture. Low tables, closets, etc. Posed on six tatamis inside of the room.
But there were also people, there are foxes, they were dressed in more finely made Kimonos. Three men and three women, sited close to the table. Two were has golden fur and hair, other were silver colour and the two last were charcoal haired and furred.
They all have distinguishable feature: they possess nine tails coming from their backs.
Magnus simply sited down and faced them.
"Ahem, hello… I wanted to meet you." Magnus said.
"Of course, of course…" The golden fox woman said, in an understandable Gothic language, despite the big accent coming out.
"Wait, you understand, Gothic language?" Magnus asked.
"We waited you a long time, Primarch Magnus the Red." The charcoal elder fox man said.
"Ah? It means you are clearly strong magic powers." Magnus asked, even more astonished.
"And we felt yours since several decades ago. Your presence is clearly brighter than you thought." The black-haired fox woman said.
"And how you learned about my existence?" Magnus asked.
"Our creators, the Two Gods named us, Nine Tailed Fox. We are humans with fox instincts with a great longevity of life. Each decade, we have another tail growing out and we gain in power and wisdom. When we reach our century year age. We will become Tenko, celestial foxes who can see truths in the world as our illusion's powers reach the highest, which we are right now." The golden-haired fox man said.
"Oh… I see, seeing the Truth…" Magnus said while reminding himself of the Monocle of the Truth he has created.
"It means that we have saw you in our visions, the source of your power that we have felt since our creation more than a century ago." The silver haired Tenko woman said.
"Uhuh… what are you going with all of these revelations?" Magnus asked.
The Tenkos turned at each other and then…
They bowed completely to their ground facing Magnus, who was astonished.
"What are you doing?" Magnus asked.
The Tenkos sited back on their knees.
"We have been created to be loyal to the ones who will protect us, like the Two Gods said to us." The silver haired Tenko man said.
"You are telling me, that this century ago, when you were created. You felt my power and decided it was me you wanted to serve me, instead of the Brother Gods?" Magnus asked.
"We need someone to protect us. But the Two Gods left us at our device, they have abandoned us with the pretext that our counterparts need them more. They created many dangerous creatures before leaving, saying it was to protect us. But these creatures only attacked us ruthlessly. We were one hundred when created, and now, we are only six elders…" The black-haired Tenko man said with sadness.
Magnus was shocked but also internally infuriated.
"Protect you? From what?" Magnus asked.
"From exterior threats they say… Monsters from other planets and something they named… the Empire or something like that… They say are here to enslave us or exterminate us." The blonde haired Tenko woman said with fear.
Magnus was internally furious, so much that a small aura surrounded him, startling everyone inside.
"Hum, Primarch Magnus?" Black haired Tenko woman asked.
Magnus sees the terrified Tenkos and calms down.
"Ahem, sorry." Magnus said.
The foxes only looked at Magnus for a moment with hesitation.
He puts his hand on his chest while lifting the other on the side.
"I promise you that I will protect your population. This is an oath that I promise to not break." Magnus promised.
But before the Tenkos respond, Magnus feels something.
These was two energies, two familiar energies who were approaching the world.
"No… It's impossible…" Magnus muttered.
"What is happening?" The black haired Tenko asked.
"I have to go! Something is wrong!" Magnus said.
He crawls to the exit, opens the double doors and exited the small manor. The Primarch looked at the sky and widened.
He sees two lights, one yellow and the other is dark purple.
"Drat. They have discovered my presence… Why I am putting myself in crazy situations?!" Magnus ranted.
He uses his telekinesis and flies to the entry of the village, where the group of Thousand Sons are looking at the sky.
"Protect the village! Lower your magic powers! I will draw the gods away!" Magnus ordered.
He gives the crystal to one of the Thousand Sons that he quickly takes away while taking his spear from the other Thousand Son.
"Okay!" The captain responded.
Magnus lights up the contact.
"Evacuate the fleet, Marteus! The Gods are here and we don't know what they could do to the XVth Legion!" Magnus ordered.
"Of course! We are detecting two readings who are extremely high in energy!" Marteus said.
"Flee to the closest planet! Quick!" Magnus ordered.
While the Thousand Sons gattered their things. Magnus flies again in the sky and goes as far as possible while looking some time the lights in the sky who each becomes bigger and brighter.
Finally, he arrived to a mountain inside of the big forest and sited down on a rock. He was extremely tense, because he couldn't know what these gods have prepared to him.
But he tries his best to calm down, he has to remain composed for the time being. He could see on the sky the small warp portals closing down, showing that his fleet managed to escape. Meanwhile, the two lights become brighter and brighter. He could hear that the sounds of the forest fading away, as animals shuts up by the growing presence of the gods.
Then, the two lights, after a long time, comes from the sky and falls down from it, far away from the mountain.
He looked and sees that a bright light could be seen on the cloud facing him. Inside of it, there are the two other lights of the two gods. He could feel hundreds more of beings with these gods. They didn't come alone this time.
Magnus sighed before standing, taking his spear. Then he walked, looking at these lights on the clouds before finally run and jumps before flying toward the source of these lights.
After avoiding carefully the trees, he flies upwards and sees the source of these lights. There was a giant army of humans forming a phalanx on the clouds, while behind, there are the two gods in question.
Magnus snarled in frustration before going down and posing on the clouds at his turn.
And so, he could see the army of humans a few dozen meters away from him, with all behind the Brothers Gods of course.
This very heteroclite army made off knights, archers and some magicians are facing Magnus. The knights who were in front pointed their spears and swords toward the Primarch. While on the sides, the archers draw their bows toward him.
Magnus doesn't know why, but these people, they are giving a strange sense of nostalgia. Making him wonder, it was his flesh recognizing these people, if that's the case, it means that his own mother encountered them before.
"Hmph… if I expected to meet you again." Magnus said sarcastically.
"Silence… Miserable trespasser." The God of Darkness responded with coldness.
"Magnus the Red. I am asking a question. Why you are eager to conquer the planets we have created and the people with it inside of your own Imperium?" The God of Light asked.
"I am in a mission to reunite Mankind under one banner. The banner of my father the Emperor and my mother the Empress." Magnus responded.
"There are plenty of more worlds to take over and make yourself yours. The Eldars in the past has made a treaty that no life created by us should be taken by their hands. And since the Imperium of Man is the emerging power, soon to rule the Galaxy. This oath must be renewed for us." The God of Light said.
Magnus shook his head.
"You forgot one thing, God of Light. The inhabitants you are making are all humans. And as such, they should be under the Imperium. They are partaking the same blood of my mother. It's like reuniting a great family all across the galaxy. After all Fauna and the people inhabiting this planet has already joined us." Magnus responded.
"What?! They betrayed us?" The God of Darkness snarled.
"Of course, they said that you abandoned them in the wild of this planet. They were almost all massacred and they are still struggling to rise again. Introducing such dangerous wildlife was a bad idea." Magnus said.
The two gods don't respond for a moment.
"How many worlds you will take away from us? Your lust of conquest knows no end?" The God of Darkness accused Magnus.
"As much as I can for the good of the Imperium. Remind yourself of what I said before." Magnus responded.
"If you believe that you all humans that we have given life to them will willingly join the Imperium. Let us present you these, who are in front of you." The God of Light said.
Magnus looked at the knights in question, their eyes reflected a profound hatred directing against him. These looks astonished him. Why such hatred?
Then, they parted ways, revealing three people coming from the crowd.
These were humans too.
The first is a woman with dark hair attached in a big bun and purple eyes. She is wearing a decorated crown going from a side to the other of her head, with symbols of flowers and leaves on it. She wears long earrings joining by two strings. She is dressed in purple tunic with these symbols on her chest and on the end of her sleeves. Under the upper-tunic, a white-purple robe comes out going to her feet.
The second one is a muscular man, with a slightly darker skin. He wears a big beard while his head was shaved. He has tattoos on the upper part of his chest representing chains but also on his arms before the leather bracelets on his forearms. He has a shoulder pad on his left shoulder, covered in bone spikes. His pants were covered in several layers of leather on it, with a skull of an unknown creature on the front of his belt. He finally wears leather boots.
The last but not less was an elderly man with a long white beard, mustache and long white hair behind. He wears a golden crown on his head. He is dressed in a long tunic with lines of blue and green going from his neck to his feet. He wears above it a long blue cape.
These three different persons that Magnus didn't saw felt really familiar, despite their different sizes and shapes. They were all looking at Magnus with this same amount of hatred and disgust.
"Who are you?" Magnus asked the three people.
The three people didn't respond. Who makes Magnus tense.
"I said, who are you?" Magnus asked again, with more tone.
The woman comes first, making several steps.
"Isn't that obvious?" The woman said.
"I can recognize the power of this traitorous woman from this giant." The beard man said.
"This one who promised everything but, in the end, makes us lose everything. Even our own freedom." The old man said.
Magnus lifted his eyebrow and looked more closely to the magic emanating from this trio. This was so familiar; it means one thing but his mind couldn't believe what these people are.
"You are not anyone… this feeling of nostalgia… these magic emanations that I have somehow recognize when this is the first time that I am seeing them… Are you… the people where my mother comes from?" Magnus asked.
"Absolutely." The woman said.
"You are insightful…" The beard man said.
"But too late…" the old man said.
Magnus stared at the trio; he knew exactly why these people are burning in hatred.
"Listen. My mother told me and my brothers about what happened in her past. She has told us everything, without hiding. Every error she has made. It was a long time she regretted her ways and tried to correct herself in the Great Crusade. But even if you don't forgive her. I won't let you lashing out on me and my Legion. I am not responsible for her errors. The only acts that I have made in my youth was destroying creatures of the warp back on the planet I grew up." Magnus explained.
But the response of the trio was the beard man taking out his big sword while the two other monarchs creating magic balls. The rest of the army readies their magic blasts against the Primarch.
"You shouldn't do that. If you will do it. You will regret it deeply." Magnus warned.
But a rain of magic balls and blasts accompanied by enchanted arrows goes toward Magnus. But these exploded on the invisible shield of Magnus. Who shocked everyone on sight, even the gods.
"What?" The God of Light asked.
"Brother, it seems that he has trick inside of his sleeves." The God of Darkness said.
"What the…?" The monarch queen asked.
"We knew he was powerful but… it's beyond anything. He has the power of… our gods." The old man said in a trembling voice.
"So, the reputation about this Emperor is not a lie…" The beard man said.
"Hmph… Don't you remind yourself this lesson?" Magnus asked the trio.
"What lesson?" The woman asked with vehemence.
"You never wrong my mother or my family without consequences… TAAAH!" Magnus said.
He projected his right palm to the army, who is blasted out of the clouds by his immense telekinesis.
"Brother!" The God of Darkness said.
"Yes!" The God of Light responded.
The duo rushed immediately against the Primarch but the latter avoided their blows and flies at full speed in the sky, pursued by the two gods.
They try to hit him with blasts of magic but he only dodged them with his spear before giving blasts back with this same spear.
The two gods try to go in hand-to-hand combat but the Primarch managed to block and dodge their blows without shedding too much sweat.
The God of Light tries to give a kick but he dodged by Magnus who kicks him away. The God of Darkness comes with a charged punch but he is deviated by the spear of Magnus before slammed away.
The two gods regrouped, baffled of the Primarch facing them.
"What is happening…? He is like expecting all of our attacks." The God of Darkness said.
"What changed in him after all of these years, we have taken all of our precaution and trained…" The God of Light said in disbelief.
"I can explain why…" Magnus said.
"What are you implying…?" The God of Darkness coldly asked.
"You have reached your full potential ages ago. You believed that no one will fight you and you became complacent. Your forgot there are always stronger than you. Always." Magnus said.
"You have not the age or position to give us morals!" The God of Darkness replied vehemently.
"Of yes, I have. I have said to you before, I bow to not gods, especially you. I only obey the Emperor and the Empress. Since they are my parents. Plain and simple." Magnus said.
"What is the power you reached?" The God of Light asked.
Magnus looked at the two gods before putting on his back his spear.
"You'll see… and fear for the first time in your existence…" Magnus responded.
He clutches his fists and began to strain his body.
"KrrrrrraaaaAAAAAAAHHHH!" Magnus screamed while straining himself.
The atmosphere quickly changes around the place and soon to the entire planet.
On the village, the Thousand Sons and the Kitsunes could feel the power of Magnus.
"What is happening?" The Tenko black haired woman said.
"It's father Magnus! He is increasing his power! It means he could be in trouble!" The Space Marine captain said.
Back to the trio…
Magnus strained more and then; a huge red aura appeared around him.
The two gods were shocked the gigantic power coming out of the Primarch. And it was only increasing each second passing.
Their inexistant mouth opened wide in shock as they observed. While the Primarch looked back at them in defiance.
"Im… Impossible…" The God of Darkness stammered.
The God of Light couldn't say anything.
The situation continued like that. The two gods staring in shock while Magnus continued to rose his power.
"This can't be happening… He is still getting stronger…!" The God of Light said in shock.
Magnus resumed his screaming and straining while his aura becomes more erratic and vivid.
The God of Darkness, with a mix of frustration and terror quickly goes to the ground before taking a huge chuck of rocks.
"ENOUGH!" The God of Darkness screamed.
He launched the chunk of rock toward Magnus, while the God of Light goes out of the way. The chunk of rock crashed on Magnus' aura before shedding in pieces. Under the God of Darkness terrorised and furious expression.
"You… You bastard!" The God of Darkness screamed.
He transformed in his dragon form, prepared a gigantic blast in his mouth before launching it to Magnus. But the blast is deviated by Magnus' aura and dissolved in the air. The God of Darkness stopped, in disbelief and paralysed by incomprehension, incapable of bearing the view of a Primarch who didn't receive anything.
Magnus stopped his strain and his aura disappeared in the air, he stared at the Brother Gods.
"See? You have to accept that there is always more than you two." Magnus said.
The God of Darkness snarled a lot but he couldn't do anything. The God of Light doesn't know what to do anything. For the first time of his very long life, he is paralysed.
"This is the last time that I ask you. Go away from this planet. After all, none of the Kitsunes wants you anymore. Better left them under the care of the Imperium." Magnus said.
The God of Darkness snarled and was about to move, only to be stopped by the hand of the God of Light posing on his shoulder.
"No more fight. We won't damage this planet further." The God of Light said.
"But Brother…" The God of Darkness said.
"Enough. Remind yourself since we arrived in the Galaxy long ago. We swore an oath to repair our older brothers' wrongdoings and bring back life." The God of Light said.
"Don't remind me of them in this context…" The God of Darkness said.
"Honestly, I am tired to fight against Salem's offsprings and the Imperium of Man. These are mere nuisances to our mission, like the Eldars in the past. Our most important mission is to find our brothers and destroy them for the crimes they have done in the past. Especially Mag'ladroth, who is the one who has remained alive but even with the rumours, is impossible to find for now. He is hiding his presence and power from us." The God of Light said.
"Wait, there are other gods?!" Magnus asked in disbelief.
"Drat, you are saying too much!" The God of Darkness said.
"Oh…" The God of Light said.
"This is none in your business, Primarch Magnus. This kind of mission is clearly above everything you knew. Even your own mother won't understand. Don't interfere with us especially in this mission! This is a warning!" The God of Darkness said.
"Now, it's time to go." The God of Light said.
He pointed his hand to the ground. Hundreds of lights come from the forest before exiting it. Before finally materialising on a recently made cloud platform under the two gods. There were the warriors, tired and injuried.
"It is time to go." the God of Light said.
"But what about him?" The woman monarch pointed Magnus.
"He is a bastard child of Salem!" The bearded king said.
"We need to repent ourselves…" The old king said.
"We have to go. We have more important things to do. This is how you will repent yourself." The God of Light responded.
The God of Darkness transformed back in his humanoid and takes a calmer tone.
"Your people need us. Now come." The God of Darkness said.
The three monarchs turned to Magnus.
"If we cross back with your mother. We will make her pay to have tricked us." The monarch woman said.
"It's that a threat?" Magnus replied.
"You don't imagine the hatred that I have right now." The monarch woman said coldly.
"If it's that so, let me warn you in turn. Attacking our mother means attacking our whole family and the Imperium in the entirety. You'll receive the swift justice of the Emperor of Mankind and you will be erased from existence. The Emperor of Mankind is a being even more powerful than me and he didn't reveal the whole extent of his force his whole life." Magnus warned.
The monarch woman didn't respond and turned back, along with the other two monarchs. The Gods opened a luminous gate and the small army of Remnantians entered inside. The three monarchs closed the march, then the gate closed down and shrink to a golden parchment take the god of light took his hand.
The two gods looked at the Primarch.
"Before we leave. There is one thing that I want to say. Magnus the Red, you said before that there is always more than us, right? So, I am telling that it applies on you. Because, the galaxy is big, really big and you don't know what hides in the shadows. A simple advice: stay on guard if you want to protect your race." The God of Light said.
"What do you mean by that?" Magnus responded.
"You will understand in the future. Despite our differences, we have common enemies. And I am willing to put behind this feud between us and your mother since a great danger awaits us all." The God of Light said.
"What? What danger?!" Magnus asked.
"You know yourself. This is your punishment to have defied us twice. You will learn what danger is in the hard way." The God of Darkness said with a bit of spite.
The two gods transformed in their dragon form before launching themselves in the sky, they left the planet without putting too much of a fight. Magnus was here, left with tons of questions in his brain, that the gods weren't willing to respond.
A few moments later, Magnus is back on the village. He was facing the whole village. The Photep is on the sky.
"It's now time to leave. This world will be under the Imperium protection. This is my offering for your development." Magnus said.
He gives a book of knowledge to the elders of the village.
"This is all you need to start your civilisation." Magnus said.
"Thank you…" The red-haired Tenko woman said.
"Please, don't abandon us." The black-haired Tenko man pleaded.
"I have given you the tips to follow. But I want you to live on your own. Even if you are pledged your allegiance for the Emperor. You have managed to survive. And this is my help. Believe me, you will thank me later." Magnus said.
The Kitsunes looked at Magnus before bowing down.
"Thanks, my lord…" The elders thanked.
Magnus makes an incantation and teleported the whole group away from the village, back to the Photep.
Months later, on Prospero.
The city changed a lot, it has become a metropolis filled with temples and universities. But also, there is the Tree of Darkness who has expanded significantly, filling a big part of the sky in the horizon. While its leaves were lightning the sunset with their golden colour.
Salem is facing Magnus, she was completely baffled from Magnus said. He has shown his memories to her via illusions.
While Pyrrha, dressed in a white tunic is on the side, observing the whole scene. Ilil and Allarielle were on the side too. While Ottilia was not present, since she is with the maids on another room.
"It's really happened…?" Salem asked in a silent tone.
"Yes, I am sorry…" Magnus responded.
Salem looked down on the ground, then huge tears come from her eyes before she drops on her knees, put her hands on her face and cries silently. She has learned that the people she has persuaded to betray the gods are not only alive but now on a hunt of revenge against her. She could only blame herself for that.
"They hate me… this is all my fault… this is my fault… How… I can… How I can… apologize?" Salem sobbed.
"I don't know… I don't know…" Magnus said.
He takes Salem in his hands and hugged her on his body.
"Don't worry… you are not alone…" Magnus said while patting Salem's back.
Pyrrha turned her head away, she doesn't want to see this sad scene. While the two Eldars were dumbfounded by this slew of revelation.
"Mag'ladroth… This is the Void Dragon himself… He has the reputation for being the most terrible C'tan ever existing. And he is alive?!" Allarielle said.
"I don't know what I want to say." Ilil said.
"Same… The whole Galaxy is at risk. I hate to say that but we can only to hope to see either the Emperor of Mankind, or the Brother Gods finding him and end his existence for good." Allarielle said.
To be continued… Reencounter with the Chaosbender.
