RWBY 40k – Salem, Mistress of Inquisition.
[Opening 2 – Height of the Great Crusade].
[Theme – Got Mit Uns].
The opening began with Salem, dressed in her Remnant's outfits weeping in front of Ozma's body, with the staff on her hands in the horizontal. The camera approaches the emerald before coming back. Salem dressed in her Empress outfit, with now a much calmer face who quickly put the staff in a glass container in her room. Then she walked to the door of her room while the camera turns to the window displaying the whole Imperial Palace.
The title appears in the sun, it's named: "Salem, Mistress of the Inquisition – The Height of the Great Crusade".
Spent the night in formation. To the battle we march in the dawn. We were ready to die for our Emperor. On the battlefields of the Milky Way.
The opening shows the marks of the Imperium extending to the far reaches of the Galaxy, the next cut shows Horus with his legion charging toward to a Ork Warband. As he fights, his armour becomes more and more green along with his Legion to finally truly green with a golden laurel wealth on his head.
Fire at will. Aim for their artillery. Counter attack. Thunder of guns.
Rogal Dorn and Perturabo are on the walls of a Hive City, directing the plans to defend against a Horde of Greenskins. Then a cut shows them in company with Fulgrim and Konrad Curze for a Compliance mission. After that, a celebration shows them feasting, without Konrad Curze who is behind a wall, holding his head as his thoughts shows a Galaxy in flames.
Emperor with us! As we all stand united. All together, Emperor with us!
Magnus is shown fighting with his Thousand Sons but also Horus, Alpharius, Omegon, Rogal Dorn, Fulgrim, Edelgard and Roboute against a big horde of golems made of precious stones. But then, all turned to the sky, displaying two silhouettes hidden by the sun.
From the old world's demise. See an Imperium rise. From Terra reaching far, here we are!
A city is shown in flames with Lorgar Aurelian accompanied by Erebus and Kor Phaeron with all the Words Bearers, knelled against their will facing the Emperor. In another cut, Lorgar faced a woman and surrounded by people who has the chaos symbols on their bodies while Kor Phaeron and Erebus. The woman invites the Primarch to go inside of a cavern, and by the whispers of both Kor Phaeron and Erebus, Lorgar entered the cavern. When he comes back, he was smirking as he found a new faith to devote himself in.
On beginning of the 31th Millenium. We filled Xenos with fear. Twenty Legions attacked on that day. Several xeno races they broke.
The next scene shows the Dark Angels beginning their crusade against Xenos allied with Humans. And so, Lion El'Jonson is fighting. But his face was darkened, reminding himself of another moment of arguing with his mother Salem. She pointed a statue of Ozma while facing Lion with disappointment and disapprobation. Behind the wall, Lorgar observed him as he already decided what purpose he could give to him.
Astartes charge! Follow the banner! After the Emperor! Freedom we bring! Emperor is with us! As we all stand united. All together, Emperor with us!
Horus and Sanguinius are fighting against a Xeno species whose appearance are close to the humans. These two cooperating as the closest brothers they are. But as Sanguinius fights, a silhouette is lingering behind his shadow, observing him menacingly.
From the old world's demise. See an Imperium rise! From Terra reaching far! Here we are!
A great assemble of Primarchs are facing a gigantic procession. Fulgrim, Horus, Rogal Dorn, Perturabo, Jaghatai Khan, Angron, Magnus, Mortarion and Sanguinius are present. Salem is on the shoulder of Horus observing the procession. In another cut, Horus is crowned with the golden laurel, under the applause of the other Primarchs.
Breaking their lines. Thousands of Astartes. Charge for their Emperor. Legend Arise!
As an assault is leaded by Salem against Drukhari who is try to take slaves with them. Salem encounters Eldrad Ulthran who is fighting with his forces. The two faces as a possible talk are about to unfold. The next scene, Fulgrim exited a temple with a sword who is perfectly made, radiating a purple ominous power. Edelgard was looking at the blade with suspicion.
Emperor with us! As we all stand united. All together, Emperor with us! Emperor with us! As we all stand united. All together, Emperor with us! Emperor with us! As we all stand united. All together, Emperor with us!
A crowd is assembled inside of a room, with Primarchs debating each other about an important thing. But especially, Magnus and Mortarion opposed each other in vehement manner. Under the eyes of a worried Salem.
From the old world's demise. See an Imperium rise. From Terra reaching far. Here we are!
Horus is inside of a planet with Abaddon. He faced an old man on a throne and without a word. He killed with an electric magic ball. He turned toward a new Chapter Captain who has managed to break inside of the throne room before him and giving him a salute of respect.
From the old world's demise. See an Imperium rise. From Terra reaching far. Here we are!
Salem sited on the Emperor's throne, then looked at the sky with anticipation and curiosity. As she is slowly surrounded by her sons who looks in the stars altogether. Without forgetting her granddaughters.
Ep 78: The Beast of Possibility.
978.M30.
[Hiroyuki Sawano – KNS].
A giant fleet of colonisation is travelling inside of the void, accompanied by the Eternal, recognizable by its red colour.
In the middle of the fleet, we could see five tubular colonies of closed type, like in Adoria. They are propelled with the same kind of reactors used by the Battleships of the Imperial Fleet.
It was a new method of colonisation used by the Adorians, a highly profitable one. Building a colony attached at a warp reactor and guided by a Navigator to be quickly delivered to systems of great interest.
So much, that many imperials are beginning to use these space colonies everywhere in the whole Imperium to either colonise empty systems with facility, creating space fortresses and outposts in strategic points. Or simply to artificially increase their population around their planets by building colony clusters in the orbit.
Here, there is the world of Belam. A desolated world, where the atmosphere is toxic but where it has been discovered profoundly underground, vast reserves of ores.
Here was the Primarch, Kira Saito, alone this time. Lacus was at Adoria for him. He was watching at the table map in front of him, accompanied by his
"We can see Belam!" one of the employees of the bridge said.
"Good…" Kira Saito responded.
The fleet arrived a few hours in front of the space outpost in question. It is a Starfort of Ramilies-class like a lot in the rest of the ever-expanding Imperium.
"Contact is established!" the capcom exclaimed.
The hologram appears, revealing the chief of the base. An old man seemingly aged in his 60s.
"Hello… You are the chief Acterius Garno?" Kira Saito asked.
"Absolutely, your grace. I see you brought the colonies. What about the new Mobile Suits?" Acterius asked.
"They are all stocked inside of the five colonies." Kira Saito responded.
"Good…" Acterius responded.
"Now, we will place the colonies in a bit of a distance to avoid gravitational problems for your base." Kira Saito explained.
"Good, but in the agreement. I want the Mobile Suits that will be promised to me. 100 of SC-V and 700 GMS-V. Also, the 10 Gundams of Zeta type." Acterius asked.
"They will be delivered with their pilots in the meantime. Each action in their time General." Kira Saito responded.
"Hmph…" Acterius said before closing the contact abruptly.
The Master of the Mechanical Division was taken aback by this action.
"What is the meaning of this?" Hidejiro asked.
"He is willing to be patient, Hidejiro. Don't worry about it." Kira responded.
Hours later, the barges who are stuffed with the Mobile Suits is coming toward the space base in question.
"The thing that gets me is the fact that their use of the Mobile Suit is sloppy at best, disastrous at worst. Many of these generals has misused our inventions and many were destroyed for nothing." Hidejiro said.
"Of course… but we can only hope that we help them in any kind with these inventions. Here, I just hope that Acterius would protect himself properly." Kira responded.
"Hm… Let's cross our fingers." Hidejiro said.
They resume their observations of the small convoys coming from the colonies, delivering their Mobile Suits to the opened gates on the quadrants on the sides.
[End of the Theme].
Meanwhile…
Inside of a giant cyclopean city, composed of several planets, filled to the brim with spires, towers and great buildings. Their decorations were black, spiky, with dark symbols.
The sky was completely white, with faints shadows of energy deforming behind.
The population were Eldars, but they are completely pale, their hair was black. Their dress was equally black-coloured and most of it are generally very revealing. From subtle to openly ostentatious.
The activity of the city was bustling, with trade and seemingly calm in the surface while guards patrolled. Especially in the parts where the sky is visible.
But under, where the light of the sky doesn't reach. The civilians were living in the dark subterranean avenues, gangs were reigning free. While people were fighting each other for food, jewels or the slaves who were often the least well-conserved.
Inside of these avenues, a figure was walking inside. Some of the Eldars gangs, goes out from the way. After this one is feared inside of these dark streets.
At one moment, the figure is stopped by a group of thugs.
"You! Give your possessions!" the thugs shouted.
The figure takes out it's sword and a few lighting slashes killed the thugs in several blows before continuing her path.
She climbs back to the upper parts of the streets, revealed little by little by the light. She wears an armour composed by black iron leggings; her breastplate looks more like an iron bikini showing her quite attiring curves. The rest of her armour covers her pelvis and her slender legs to her feet. On her belt, her curved sword is stocked. Her dark hair is assembled in a long braid falling to her back.
To all beggars that begged her money, she only kicked them out of the way.
She arrived to the highest part of the city in question, where the nobles are inhabiting. She arrived in front of a great palace, decorated to the brim with all pomp. She arrived in front of the guards who inclined their spears in the way.
"State your business." One of the guards called.
She takes out from her armour a small parchment that the guards grabbed and read.
"Invitation by lord Bernutzar… signed by his hand… Okay, then." The guard said before giving back the parchment before he gets out of the way with his comrade.
The female eldar goes toward the palace and entered inside of the big alleyways of the palace. Everywhere she sees the different human slaves that the lord has in his possession, cleaning the ground or preparing the rooms. She didn't give a look at their pathetic and pitiful face full of resignation and submission.
As she approached the main room, she could heard sounds of pounding mixed with moaning. She stopped in front of the door and listened of what is happening inside.
"Scream! Harder! I don't hear you enough!" a masculine voice exclaimed.
SLAP!
"Argh! KYAH!" a feminine voice screamed.
The female warrior only knocked the door hard. The masculine voice interrupted himself and groans.
"How many times did I repeat, Berenlath?! Don't interrupt me! You want to be punished?!" the masculine voice exclaimed.
"This is me, my lord." the female Eldar responded.
A silence falls for a moment.
"Oh… it's you… You are late." The masculine responded.
"It's just-" the female Eldar began.
"Silence! You know that I hate waiting! Wait in the living room! I didn't finish yet and I am not in the mood! Go now!" the masculine voice responded.
"Of course, my lord." The female Eldar responded.
She turns back and goes toward the living room while the claps resumed behind the doors.
The female Eldar arrived to the living room; it was like the rest: richly decorated with all the opulence of the world. She sited on one of the many chairs surrounding the long table.
One of the slaves, who was a human woman dressed in a richly decorated robe approached her with a plate of the finest fruits of this dark city.
"Want some refreshments?" the slave asked.
The female Eldar sees the human woman, her face until now impassible, contorted to pure disgust. She kicked the slave away, who falls on the floor, whining in pain.
"Tch… refreshments? Stained with your disgusting Mon-Keigh skin? Not in a million years." the female Eldar said.
She glared at the slave, despite her pain, takes the vegetables before putting up the groceries on the plate.
"The only thing restraining me to beat up is the fact that the lord who is my main client, Bernutzar, is an excentric to the point that he would rather have slaves of inferior kind like you that anything more refined…" the female Eldar said.
The slave posed the plate on the table before crouching down, in a begging position.
"I am so sorry… that my existence offended you…" the slave said.
The female Eldar leaned down and takes the chin of the slave, forcing her to look at her eyes.
"Your kind is like a tumour. Imperium of Man? The Emperor of Mankind? The Immortal Empress? The Primarchs? That the sickest joke that I have ever heard. You spread like parasites only you profited from our Fall. Never I will submit to these rulers." The female Eldar added.
"I am… I am sorry…" the slave responded.
The female Eldar puts her thumb inside of the slave's mouth, shutting her up.
"Look at you. So frail, so small, so ugly, so stupid. And your life is very, very short. With all of these kinds of defaults, you shouldn't have left your planet. But you spread, against all odds. Why such resilience?" the female Eldar asked.
The little woman doesn't respond, too intimidated.
"The worst thing is the fact that is your resolve. Even in your weakest, most pathetic state… If the occasion present itself, you will backstab." The female Eldar said before releasing the slave.
The woman slave stood up and takes a few steps away.
After a small wait, the door opened. Revealing a pale Eldar man, dressed in purple apparat clothes. His hair is black and his eyes were blue.
"Now, you are here, lord Bernutzar." The female Eldar said before standing up and then kneeling in front of him.
"Stand up, Baesseth." Bernutzar said.
The aforementioned Eldar woman stood up.
"I have received your message about this important reunion in private. What is happening?" Baesseth asked.
The noble faced directly the Kabal.
"See, some of my fellows' nobles are looking bad at me. Apparently, my taste about my slaves is… inconvenient." Bernutzar began.
Baesseth doesn't respond.
"My response to them is the fact even if my slaves wither away very quickly. I can easily replace them and I can bring as much as I want, you have to change the flavour. Also, they are far easier to break despite their quite resilient character." Bertnutzar explained.
He caresses the slave human woman on her cheek before turning back to the Kabal.
"Also, I have to ask you a question. Why I target the Mon-Keigh specifically?" Bernutzar asked.
"I am dubitative." Baesseth responded.
"It's because the Imperium of Man or whatever they call is the one who will reign for the next millennia. The few predicators that I have paid have all confirmed this. The Mon-Keigh will reign, no matter what happen in the very close future." Bernutzar said.
"What do you mean my lord?" Baesseth asked.
"Pay the predicators yourself. I won't spend to your own eyes." Bernutzar responded.
"Hm… of course." Baesseth said.
"Besides, if I talked about all of this. It's because I am preparing a new raid. And I want you to participate in it." Bernutzar explained.
"Hm… How much you will pay for me for this?" Baesseth asked.
"One tenth of the treasure capture. Nothing more. You are my most trusted mercenary but you don't have to abuse your influence. Remember where your place belongs." Bernutzar responded.
"One tenth? It's way bigger than any of the bounties that I have been asked before." Baesseth said.
"It's because my raid has been prepared to attack a powerful stronghold of the Imperium. And I will prove to these idiots, why pillaging human planets are the most gratifying." Bernutzar explained.
"Hm… I see… When it will take place?"
"In a few Commoraghian days. Prepare your gear in the meantime." Bernutzar said.
"Of course, my lord." Baesseth responded.
Two human days later, back to Belam. The Eternal Hope is hovering in the sky.
Kira Saito is on the planet, accompanied by his small squad of Mobile Suit. He is inside of his new Mobile Suit; it was an upgraded version of the Zeta Gundam made only for himself.
(Note: It has the appearance of the MSZ-10 ZZ Gundam).
After all, his loved his Eternal Justice, but the Mobile Suit despite its constant ameliorations, it's an old prototype that he used in the war against the Golden Moons couldn't compete anymore.
He was analysing himself
As he analysed the ground of the planet in question, his group has detected something.
"Lord Kira! We have detected something!" One of the Mobile Warrior Astartes called.
"What kind of thing? A reserve of oil? Or ores?" Kira asked.
"No… Something else…" The Mobile Warrior responded.
Kira received an image that make him lift his eyebrow. In the image, ruins of a town under a ruined dome could be seen.
"Anything else?" Kira asked.
"The town looks small but after detection, these have underground constructions who are at least thrice it's size." The Mobile Warrior explained in the radio.
"What do we do?" Another Mobile Warrior asked.
"We will investigate. We will take precaution when will arrive." Kira said.
The large group of Mobile Warriors arrived after a long moment of careful march to the outskirts of the town, with the broken parts of the glass domes. Half of them gattered all around the city to guard it from the outside. While the other half carefully entered the center.
The town was deserted, ruins were quite intact but no trace of people could be seen, or even skeletons, nothing could be seen.
As the group arrived in the very center of the town, facing the subterranean tunnels. Kira puts on the helmet of his armoured spacesuit, before sealing it. Then, he pushes the button of opening of the Gundam, the door opened and the machine crouched down, to make way to the Primarch.
"I will go inside of the palace. You, you will go in the other buildings and the subterranean part of the town." Kira exclaimed.
Without listening to the response of his soldiers, he entered inside of the palace, with its iron doors, who has been forced open and destroyed. He activated his lights installed on his suit before entering inside.
As he arrived inside of the palace, he could see no corpse, no trace of life or past life even. Which make the things bizarre.
But the things which makes the situation even weirder, is the fact that the objects and other furniture who are at least a bit of value, where still present.
He arrived to the control room and it was the only place who hadn't been managed to be forced, despite the heavy damage on it. He touches the door with his gloves and with a bit of magnetism power, thanks to his mother's inheritance, he opened the closing bars.
As he opened the door, he sees a rather… peculiar scene.
He sees a skeleton, with clothes who are only old rags. It means that the rust has taken for decades or even centuries. The skull has a hole in its head and the skeleton is holding a rusted gun on one it's hand on the table. While the other hand holds a plastic bag on the table.
"Oh my… Poor man…" Kira said.
But he could see something inside of the plastic bag, it was small primitive storage of digital information.
"Hm… It could give some information." Kira said.
He takes the plastic bag and attached it on his armour before exiting the room.
A few hours later, back inside of the bridge. The Primarch is surrounded by his three Masters. With the little storage branched on the table.
"With this storage, we can see what happened to this town..." Kira said.
The holographic table lightened up and began to show the videos, Kira has chosen the last ones. And their contents show a frightening sight.
The cameras of the towns, shows that the town is being ransacked and pillaged. While its population is taken away by slender beings dressed in black armours. After this vision, Kira is s
"What the hell are these Xenos…?" Hidejiro asked.
"These Xenos, by observing them seems familiar…" Hajime said.
"What do you mean?" Iwao asked.
"I have heard in my campaigns outside of Adoria, rumours… These were rare but they have pretty common descriptions. Black-armoured warrior, with slender figures. Coming to raid vulnerable planets and kidnapping a lot of people before leaving as fast as possible. Some rumours even said that they used some technology of warp who seems very advanced." Hajime said.
"Hm… I heard about them too… My brother, Vulkan, the Primarch of the Salamanders, said that he encountered these warriors and purged them from his planet because Nocturne was a regular target to them. If it's that true, we can only hope that the targeted planet can be capable to defend itself. We can't be anywhere…" Kira said.
"We could tell the Emperor about this problem." Iwao said.
"When we will come back from Belam, I will tell the Immortal Empress about this. She is the first one to be informed about crucial information with the Inquisition." Kira responded.
The silence falls inside of the bridge.
"Now, we will finish our work about the colonies before going back." Kira said.
Meanwhile in Commoragh, Bernutzar is around a table of other lords, served by the slaves in refreshments. He was exposing a plan showing the hologram of the Starfort that they targeted.
Baesseth was on the side, simply observing the situation.
"So, you… You will assault the base in question by behind. You, with your Great Hunters, you will go on the left. On the right, your will charge with your Dark Lions. Me, finally, I will charge in the front. We will have many warriors' slaves for the arenas to sell." Bernutzar explained.
"Hm… It seems rather protected." One of the lords said.
"It resembled the fortresses that we have. Even if it looks more primitive." The second lord said.
"This is challenge at our stature." Said the female lord, the third of the circle.
"I have a question though. What about her?" the first lord asked.
He pointed Baesseth.
"Her, she would be my bodyguard. She will be a vital component of our plan. Her dexterity has prevented heavy losses from my enemies in the past raids. You can count on her." Bernutzar responded.
The three lords looked at the Kabal of the Hundred Heads with intrigue and mild suspicion.
"When we will attack?" The female lord asked.
"In two Commoraghian days. Prepare your weapons. It will be a real carnage." Bernutzar responded.
A few days later, the fleet of the Mobile Warriors was preparing its leave. The colonies were now firmly placed in orbit and small barges coming back and forth between the Starfort and the colonies.
The Primarch is inside of the Starfort, facing the old master of this citadel.
"Acterius Garno… I hope you will prosper in this corner of the galaxy." Kira said.
"Thanks for everything." Acterius responded.
"Of course…" Kira said.
"But I still wonder, about these warriors who destroyed the city of Belam. How do you will do?" Acterius asked.
"I will tell the Emperor about this matter. Don't worry." Kira responded.
"Detection of portals!" the capcom called.
Both strategists turned to the source of the voice.
"What is happening?" Kira asked.
Then the Primarch is shocked that a several light-coloured portals has appeared by looking at the reinforced glass.
The things who come from these portals are black-coloured, with huge decorating spikes.
"What the hell are these ships…?!" Acterius asked.
"I have a bad feeling right now…" Kira responded.
Immediately, the fleet launched a fire rain toward the Starfort. Which damages it and shook it up. Kira quickly goes to the hologram radio.
"Fleet of the Second Legion! Counter-attack now!" Kira ordered.
The fleet of the Primarch launched a counter firestorm toward the black ships. Despite that, the ships quickly approached the fortress while the fleet scramble to form a line. Especially with some of them greatly damaged or even reduced in pieces with the first wave of fire.
"Put the base in maximum alert! Everyone at their posts!" Acterius ordered.
On the side of the Dark Eldars, Bernutzar is inside of his bridge, surrounded by his most valued female slaves. He is dressed in richly decorated armour, while observing the scene. Baesseth was on the side, also observing with an eyebrow lifted.
"Good… We have the advantage of surprise. But these constructions? It wasn't in my plans…" Bernutzar said.
"It's that worrying?" Baesseth asked.
"It might be a thorn on our side. But we will raid and takes as many slaves as we can, this is our one and only goal. So, prepare your weapons." Bernutzar responded.
"Hmph…" Baesseth hummed in response.
Bernutzar lifted himself up and puts on his helmet.
"Let's see what these Mon-Keigh are capable off…" Bernutzar said.
As the dark vessels of the Dark Eldars approached the Starfort, the human fleet is pushed away as they failed to form a line. Finally, they arrived inside of the front Docking pier and the little eldar vessels protected the main vessel.
Finally, the vessel of Bernutzar forcibly dock itself and the doors opened. The Dark Eldar poured inside of the aisles, massacring the incoming soldiers who tried to stop them. While others are knocked out and restrained before being taken away by dozens.
Baesseth is in the front, using all of her agility to hide and dodge the bullets. While slaying the soldiers bold enough to charge her.
Bernutzar was behind, protected by his guards.
"Continue like that! We are doing it!" Bernutzar asked.
But as they progressed, the numbers of soldiers are growing exponentially in every corner, slowing the momentum of the raid.
Baesseth like usual slayed every soldier who are too close to her.
As the battle raged inside of the ship, the walls became damaged enough that the electric wires are exposed. And so, shot by shot, the electric lines fail, lights stop functioning.
Until, the lights fail completely. With the emergency red lights activating at the same time. The Dark Eldars have now a hard time to orient themselves.
While Baesseth was clearing a room of these soldiers. She suddenly hears heavy footsteps from the corridors.
She turns back and a vision of horror has faced her.
She could see giant warriors in heavy knight-like armour, measuring more than 2 meters of height.
For the first time of her life, Baesseth felt minuscule.
Immediately, these giants, who are no other than the Astartes fired on Baesseth who has barely the time to move out of the way. But the powerful lasers they wield managed to inflict a wound on her back. The Kabal gritted her teeth in pain.
She came back to Bernutzar, who is astonished to her state.
"What happened to you? It's rare that you are touched like that…" Bernutzar said.
"It's because I have faced warriors… that I never seen before." Baesseth said, now nervous.
The nervous expression confuses the lord even more but he didn't have the time to respond. Big lasers decimate the furthest Eldars ahead. The Mobile Warriors arrived inside of the aisle. The guards put themselves in front of the lord to protect him.
The Mobile Warriors parted their ways, to let their Primarch enter the room.
The two big warriors see this giant man, who measures more than 3 meters. His musculature revealed a cyan giant armour. His brown hair and black eyes coming in the air. His look on his face was implacable.
The Dark Eldars are taken aback by the appearance of these Space Marines that they never seen before.
"Strike them all." Kira said in High Gothic.
The space marine platoon charged toward the Dark Eldars with their swords and shields. Despite the large aisles leaving some space for the fights. The Dark Eldars are ransacked and pushed back by the Mobile Warriors.
Baesseth on her side is protecting the lord Bernutzar and managed to hold her ground facing two Space Marines.
But she is pushed further and further along with her fellow Eldars. Despite Bernutzar trying to order his troops.
"Come on, soldiers! Kill these idiots! This is a show! Count-!" Bernutzar ordered.
BLLZZZZ!
A big laser vaporises the highest part of his head. Shocking everyone on sight, especially Baesseth.
And so, the whole platoon lost his morale instantly and tries to flee, taking the body of their lord behind their lines. The Astartes gained momentum and began to massacre the Eldars.
Baesseth covered their leave by battling against the Astartes but she is forced to always go back.
Finally, they regained the docking hallway. The Dark Eldars scrambled to go inside of their ship. Baesseth was among the last to covering the fleeing troops.
But then, the docking arms forcibly takes itself out, opening the hole to the void, sucking the unfortunate Eldars too close along a few humans who are taken by surprise. Baesseth managed to plant herself on the steel ground with her sword.
The exterior doors closed down immediately, stopping the suck. The female Eldar has barely the time to recompose herself that she is surrounded by the Astartes.
She is quickly restrained by the Astartes and she is forced to face the Primarch.
"Ahem… (Talks in Aeldari Language) … You seem to have been abandoned by your kind. Isn't it?" Kira asked.
"I don't need your mercy, Mon-Keigh." Baesseth snarled before spitting at his feet.
BLASH!
She received a big punch on her belly by one of the Astartes, making her spits her guts.
"(Talks in Aeldari Language) … I don't think so. Now you are a valuable asset. Put her in a cell for the time being." Kira Saito ordered.
The Astartes dragged the Eldar Kabal away while the Primach goes toward the quadrant parts of the Starfort.
"What are you doing, lord Kira?" the Astartes asked.
"I will intervene to coordinates the Mobile Suits." Kira responded.
He climbs inside one of the Zeta Gundam and goes inside.
"Tell Hajime to take control of the operations inside of the Starfort!" Kira called to one of the Astartes.
He activates the Gundam and closed it from the inside. Then the Gundam walked toward the launching pad of the base. He positioned his feet inside of the rolling catapults.
"Preparing to launch the Gundam! Beam rifle and shield, standby for take-off! Closing the airlock!" the capcom of the launch pad.
The Gundam is positioned inside of the airlock who closes behind and the front door opened, sucking all the air outside. Arms comes out from the wall, giving the Beam Rifle and the Shield to the Gundam.
"Hatch opened! Linear launch system engaged! Catapult levels normal! Course clear! Zeta Gundam, please take off!" the capcom said.
The screen of take-off goes from "Abort" to "Launch". The Gundam is launched in the void. Kira Saito witnessed the chaos of the battle; the Mobile Suits have formed a line and are slowly regaining the upper-hand but the Dark Eldars are resisting. The Primarch sees that the left dock arear is still docked. But the Starfort is still half-surrounded by the Eldars.
The Primarch waste no time and flies toward the small attack ships of the Eldars and with extreme precision, blasted a round to each these little fighters, exploding each time.
He flies above and began to attack it by targeting weak parts of these ships. By these actions, the other pilots witnessed the combat ace piloting this Mobile Suit.
"Who is this?" one of the pilots called to the radio.
"Can we contact you?" the other pilot asked.
"It's me, Primarch Kira Saito! We will counter-attack these horrible Xenos! Form a spear head and pierce the lines! Remember, with the Mobile Suits are the Beasts of Possibility!" Kira responded.
The radios overlapped in "Roger" or even acclamations.
The swarms of Mobile Suits who are already outside regrouped while the Vanguards coming from the Mobile Warriors fleet to fill the gaps. Then, Kira Saito goes in front of all of the swarms.
"Charge now!" Kira Saito said.
The huge swarms launched a huge counter-attack toward the Dark Eldar fleet. Dozens and dozens of the attack ships of the Dark Eldars are destroyed by the fires of the Beam Rifle or by the laser swords.
As the minute's passes, the swarms overwhelmed more and more of the Aeldaris. With Kira being the one inflicting the most damage to the fleet.
He takes his laser sword as his beam rifle goes out of energy while putting the beam rifle on the back.
He cuts the attacks ships one after one before finally arrived to one of the admiral ships. He arrived in front of the windows of the bridge, facing the panicked Dark Eldars who rushed away.
He planted the sword inside of the bridge, who completely explodes. He takes it back and flies away.
The blasts coming from the Mobile Suits and the ships of the IInd Legion destroyed the Dark Eldar fleet who is forced to dock out from the Starfort and go away.
The fleet of Bernutzar, reduced to half of its size go away, pursued by the Mobiles Suits and the human vessels quickly opened their Webway portals and goes inside of it before closing behind.
As the chaos stopped and the silence stopped, everyone looked at the damage. It was not horrible but still considerable. Some vessels were destroyed, other were heavily damage. Fortunately, the five colonies are intact with their affiliated fleet who is mostly intact too.
A few moments later, the Primarch faced once again Acterius. Baesseth is chained in the neck, arms and legs. Surrounded by three Space Marines.
"So, you will receive additional support and five more colonies. Just to be sure." Kira said.
"Thanks a lot, to have protected us." Acterius responded.
Kira turned to the Eldar woman.
"I will make sure that this Eldar woman faces justice at this should on Terra." Kira said.
"Don't hesitate to be cruel. Many of my men are either dead or kidnapped." Acterius responded.
Acterius then approached Baesseth before he punches her hard.
"This is for my men." Acterius said.
He then goes on the side.
"It is time to go now." Kira said to the Eldar woman.
Hours later, inside of the Eternal Hope.
In a dark room, Baesseth dressed only a rag, her hair falling on the floor, is attached on a bed. Surrounded by the Astropaths and the Space Marines, Kira is directly facing her on the side.
"Now, you will tell everything about you. Where you come from and who you are… for a long time." Kira said in Aeldari language.
Baesseth looked at the Primarch, before smirking and finish by a loud laugh.
"Hehehehe… You really think that you obtain anything from me? Let me guess? Cutting my legs? Burning my crotch? Scar me? Try me! I have resisted the most horrible tortures of my fellow Drukharis and the painful cellular reconstruction to make me fresh once again! And now, I am Baesseth, the Kabal of Hundred Heads. A feared bounty hunter! This is all you will know about me!" Baesseth responded with arrogance.
Kira only stared at the Eldar with a sceptical look, which confuse the Eldar.
"Hmph… We don't use torture in the Imperium or at least, it's not obligatory. We have better means to read the minds." Kira simply responded.
He turned back to the Astropaths.
"Proceed." Kira ordered them.
The small gathering of the Astropaths surrounded the Kabal and their combined mental pressure took the female Eldar by surprise and her mind quickly falls under their influence.
"We have her, lord Kira." One of the Astropath said while in trance.
"Now, talk." Kira ordered to Baesseth.
For hours, a voice talked and explained. About Commoragh, it's customs or degeneracy, but also her personal, her deepest darkest secrets. Explained, by the voice of Baesseth!
Kira was truly shocked from the explanation from this bounty hunter, so much degeneracy, so much violence, so much slavery… Inside of a giant dimension called the Webway?!
This revelation has shaken the vision of Kira's world to his core.
But there is another revelation which is not the most important but still… Baesseth revealed that she has a little boy that has been stolen away from her arms in Biel-Tan. The Primarch finally was fixed after he heard her name.
Baesseth the Kabal of the Hundred Heads, was no other than the mother of the little hostage of the Empress, Ilil Swiftseeker. After all, he has heard the name of this Baesseth from the mouth of Salem.
After all of this slew of revelations, Baesseth was tired and having a huge migraine.
"Now that you have revealed your secrets. I will explain what happens next. I will bring you back to my own mother, the Immortal Empress. She knows how to deal with the crooks like you." Kira said.
"I will… kill… you… dirty… Mon… Keigh…" Baesseth croaked weakly.
"I will leave you to rest." Kira said.
He goes out from the room, accompanied by his Astropaths before the closing the door behind. Now, the Dark Eldar is now alone.
She was so tired that she fainted.
When she waked up, she could see that she is inside of a cell with a single bed and a table with chair. She is attached by heavy chains on her arms and her neck.
But it was long enough that made her reach the table, who has a meal.
She made a 'tcht' and send the meal away, insulted and furious.
After a moment, the door opened. Revealing a Space Marine. He sees that the Eldar woman tossed the meal away. Unfazed he takes it and goes out before the closing.
"Hey! What are you ignoring me like that?! You treat me like a rag?!" Baesseth shouted.
She swore for a moment before stopping herself. Only to think about what will happen next.
Despite her pride and arrogance, the fear has begun to creep inside of her. What will happen to her when she will face the Empress?
After a long moment, the door opened again, with a Space Marine who has a meal. Baesseth felt her hunger creeping up. Despite all of her disgust, decided to take the meal and poses it on the table.
She takes the meat inside of the plate before biting it, to her surprise, it was really good.
"Wha… the Mon-Keigh are capable to eat that… I can't believe it…" Baesseth muttered.
She took another bite to see if she is not hallucinating. But no, it was the same taste, a really good taste.
She began to eat all the meal parts before the plate is finished, all under the eyes of the Space Marine. As the plate is empty, the space marine goes out with the plate and closed the door behind.
Baesseth is left to wonder alone. She was nervous and she cannot do anything and she could only wait and wait again…
A few months later, on Terra. In a private room of the Imperial Palace.
Kira faced his mother and has explained everything to her. She was taken aback by all of this. Then she frowns.
"I want to see her. Alone." Salem said.
"Of course…" Kira responded.
He exited the living room, a few moments later, a figure is pushed inside of the room before the doors are closed shut.
It was Baesseth, her whole body covered in a cape, her hands and feet chained. Her eyes are blindfolded.
Salem approached Baesseth and takes out the cape, revealing the ragged figure inside before taking out her blindfold.
"'Ello." Salem called.
"Tch… another ugly Mon-Keigh…" Baesseth responded.
"At least, I can enjoy my simple appearance. Instead of being a whore like you." Salem only smirked back, with her quite fluent Aeldari tongue.
She takes the chains of Baesseth and forced her to sit down on one of the sofas.
"Now, I am not here to kill you immediately. Or torture you. Or even making you a slave. This is not in my objectives." Salem said.
"So, what do you want from me?" Baesseth asked.
"First, eat this." Salem said.
She takes a yellow Pear and puts it in the hands of the Dark Eldar woman. Baesseth lifted her eyebrow.
"Eat this thing. You won't regret it." Salem repeated herself, with her usual smirk.
Baesseth sighed in repulsion before taking a bite and eating the entire fruit. Then, she could feel a small migraine in her mind, with her ears tingling.
"Now, do you understand me?" Salem asked in High Gothic.
Baesseth is shocked to the highest.
"What the… How I can understand you?!" Baesseth asked.
"These fruits are named the Talking Pears. It greatly facilitates the learning of other Languages. But this fruit is so hard to make it grow that it reserved to some elites. If I given it to you because I won't waste my time to make it learn to you." Salem explained.
"So, what do you want from me?" Baesseth asked.
"Because I have learned that you are Dark Eldar and so, I need a valuable asset to first learn more about your race and especially: your technology." Salem said.
Baesseth face displays a disgusted expression.
"You Mon-Keigh won't acquire our technology. Better that I die immediately!" Baesseth responded.
Salem slowly shook her head.
"I don't think so. You don't have the interest to do it." Salem responded.
"Why?" Baesseth asked.
Salem took from her robe a small photo before extending it the former Kabal, Baesseth looked at it and was intrigued. It was a photo of Ilil.
"What is the meaning of this?" Baesseth asked.
"You know, this little guy is named Ilil Swiftseeker. A young Eldar that I have taken under my wing. The poor boy has been an outcast in Biel-Tan…" Salem said.
Baesseth widened, beginning to guess what she is meaning.
"What are you trying to say to me?" Baesseth asked.
"It's not that obvious? Ilil Swiftseeker is nothing more than your son. He has told everything about you or at least, what he has knew about you. And let me tell you it was not the most favourable reputation that you are holding right now." Salem explained.
Baesseth was silent, she couldn't believe what she is hearing.
"Are you kidding me? How can I believe the ramblings of a Mon-Keigh like you?! My poor son could have been killed a long time ago by my idiotic cousins of Biel-Tan! I won't believe you in the slightest!" Baesseth said.
"Fine by me. But you will change your mind in a few hours. You'll stay here. And make sure that you do anything rash in my absence." Salem said before glaring to the Dark Eldar woman.
Baesseth tried to respond but she felt that Salem seems to be greater that being a simple human.
"I will take your silence as a yes…" Salem said.
She left the room and six Royal Eagles entered inside of the room before closing behind. Baesseth sighed and lies down on the sofa, she could only wait more, again…
A few hours later…
As Baesseth was growing impatient, five knocks are heard on the door and the guards opens it.
"Here I am now, Baesseth. Your son is just here." Salem called.
Baesseth sited on the sofa and her heart missed a beat.
She could see a young Eldar boy, with blue eyes and dark hair. Dressed in a richly decorated human tunic. This Eldar was equally shocked as Baesseth.
"Oh…" Baesseth said.
She stood up and slowly approached Ilil, to see him more clearly.
"Oh… by Isha… My baby… I recognize you…" Baesseth muttered.
"You are… my mother?" Ilil asked.
"Yes, absolutely. I feared the worst for you. I feared that these low lives of Asuryanis have killed you. Now we are reunited…" Baesseth said, shedding a few tears of joy.
She approached her hands and posed them on the cheeks of the young Eldar. Who was conflicted to how to respond.
"How do you feel about see me again?" Baesseth asked.
Ilil became hesitate to how to respond.
To be continued… Intermission: A new gear in the plans.
Ilil and Baesseth began a slow and painful family reunion. The Emperor on his side, learn about the existence of the Dark Eldar and became very interested about her potential technological knowledge.
