Chapter 44
The forest between Zinkensdamm and Hammarby
Jasmin smells a strong smell of fire and she raises her head and notices that she is lying on several round objects and when she looks straight ahead she can see the forest path that she came walking on. On the right side of the forest path she sees a gigantic gray wall and on the left side a low wall and a burning anthill. There are several people trying to put out the fire but they don't seem to be succeeding. Jasmin slides down from the objects and she turns around and looks at them. Jasmin thinks they look like large leathery eggs but the top of the eggs looks like an asshole. Jasmin makes a face and turns to the people.
Jasmin feels a strange weight in her enormous chest but she chooses to ignore it. Jasmin looks for her mobile phone and discovers that it is not in her trouser pocket and not on the ground, neither behind nor in front of the leathery objects and Jasmin gets so nervous that she almost hyperventilates. She has to find her mobile phone. She has her whole life there. Jasmin gets down on her knees and looks for her mobile phone on the ground but she can't find it. One of the people trying to put out the fire goes up to Jasmin.
- Hey! How are you?
- Good, but I can't find my mobile phone.
- Erm. When I got here, some kind of beast was sitting over your face and when I tried to pull it away it started to strangle you so I didn't dare continue. I think you should maybe go to a health information center so they can check you out, just to be safe.
- What kind of beast was it?
- I don't know. It looked like a giant spider or crab. It had a long tail and eight long digits anyway.
- Why is the anthill on fire?
- There's a leathery object next to the anthill and it's burning in it. We don't know what's burning inside the object. It's a similar object that you have behind you, but the one it's burning in is open.
- Shouldn't the fire be easily extinguished?
- We don't know what's burning in the object, but we suspect it could be a lithium battery or something similar. It's hard to see.
- Damn! Then it could be my mobile phone that...
Jasmin feels a sharp pain in her chest and she doubles over in pain and moans loudly.
- Damn, my chest hurts.
The man walks up to Jasmin and straightens her body and he looks worried but determined and he starts to feel her chest.
- I'll help you up. So, does it hurt here or there?
Jasmin reacts when the man touches her chest.
- Don't touch my breasts.
The man removes his hands from Jasmin's chest.
- Sorry, but I'm a surgeon and I just wanted to check if you have typical signs of a heart attack. It can hurt in the chest but also in other places. Are you having trouble breathing? Does it hurt your back and teeth?
Jasmin calms down when she understands that the man just wants to help her and she feels how it feels in her body but she has no symptoms of a heart attack and her chest no longer hurts and she replies that everything seems okay. However, she feels the strange heaviness in her chest and mentions it but she does not want the man to feel her chest again and he accepts it. The man and Jasmin stand and look at each other but then the man pulls away so that Jasmin has more space. The man scratches his hair.
- Not that it concerns me, but where are you going?
- I'm going to the red cabin further into the forest and help a friend. There's going to be a party there in a few hours. I'm going to build a minibar and I hope that the people in charge have left the materials with which I'm going to build the minibar.
- Is it okay if I take you to a health information center first so they can check to make sure you're okay? There's one close by here in Hammarby.
Jasmin looks at her wristwatch and sees that she is already late and she shakes her head.
- No thanks, I am already late so I have to hurry to the cabin but thanks for the request.
The man can't do much and accepts what Jasmin says and he goes to his friends who continue to put out the fire.
Jasmin passes the Alien eggs and when she gets to the last eggs she sees the four-legged Alien monster and she stares at the monster and tries to understand what it is. Jasmin has not seen any of the Alien movies. She is not interested in horror and sci-fi movies but she loves chick flicks and drama movies. Jasmin walks past the last eggs and the dead Alien monster and further into the forest towards the red cabin.
Jasmin feels a strong movement in her chest and she stops but continues walking when the movement has disappeared. She thinks this is absurd. Jasmin feels another strong movement in her chest and this time the soft and thick skin is pushed out by something from inside the chest and whatever it is, the shape looks snake-like through the skin. Jasmin presses her hand hard against the snake-like shape and she can feel it writhing inside her chest and she feels great disgust at the unwelcome visitor in her chest. The snake-like shape pulls back but intense gnawing sounds begin to be heard from the chest. Jasmin coughs hard and the gnawing sounds fall silent.
Jasmin feels an even stronger movement in her chest and the snake-like shape once again squeezes the soft skin around her chest. Jasmin takes one hand and hits the snake-like shape and she feels it move under her hands. The movement reminds her of how the long eels moved when her father fished for eels and she always disliked the movements of eels because they felt so intimate in some way. The gnawing sound returns and there is a short hard crack and Jasmin hopes that her sternum was not bitten off by the uninvited guest. The snake-like shape withdraws but the gnawing continues and changes character.
Jasmin is starting to get worried and scared and is wondering if she should go back to the man and the other workers. It is clear that she is not having a heart attack but that snake-like shape in her chest is scaring her very much. There is something very wrong. Jasmin has arrived at the place where the four-legged Alien monster was mortally wounded and she can see that parts of the ground have been eaten away and are pitch black in several places but it does not seem to have burned here but something else has happened. Jasmin feels another strong movement in her chest and the soft skin on her chest is once again pushed out by the snake-like shape and it feels as if her entire sternum is moving forward. Jasmin feels that this is not how it should be and she starts to walk back the same way she has walked. The snake-like shape retreats but this time Jasmin can still feel it in her chest even though it seems to be still. The shape almost feels like a snake or long sausage through the skin and Jasmin starts to sob.
- Please. Leave me alone.
Because Jasmin has tears in her eyes, she stumbles over a thick tree branch that is across the road and she falls to the ground and even though the ground is quite soft, she hits her face and starts to bleed from her nose. It hurts her chest and Jasmin whimpers weakly and she turns over with difficulty so that she is lying on her back instead. The snake-like shape presses her chest out again and Jasmin can feel how the sternum and the shape rub against the soft skin. Jasmin wants this to stop immediately and she starts to raise her upper body so that she can sit up but the now heavy shape in her chest means that she cannot raise her body properly. Jasmin makes several frustrated screams and tries to sit up again.
The chestburster explodes from Jasmin's thick chest and it hangs out between the two breasts like a long snake. Part of the sternum protrudes through the skin because the chestburster has made it so loose that it comes out with it when the Chestburster is born. Jasmine's body falls to the ground again and the Chestburster uses the movement as she lands on her back and pops out of her chest in a long and smooth movement.
The Chestburster slithers away on the forest path and seems unsure of where it is going but it approaches the path that Jasmine was on and soon it can see the Alien eggs far away. But the Chestburster finds small pieces of metal on the ground and it starts to eat them and a short while later it sheds its skin. The Chestburster grows and it slithers up a tall tree and when it is high up it starts to build a cocoon around itself. Several birds observe the cocoon but do not dare to approach it and fly above it. The Chestburster undergoes several changes inside the cocoon and grows into an adult Alien.
Hammarby Snedvägen
Mary Conn starts her laptop and the portable webcam and once the computer has started properly, she starts the Google Chrome browser and logs into her YouTube account. Mary's account is called "Mary's exiting adventure's" and it is popular both in Sweden and internationally. Mary always speaks English when she broadcasts live.
Mary has incurable cancer and she doesn't know when she will die but she has no illusions about living until she is 50. Mary is 41 years old and her hair is shaved off and she usually chooses to live one day at a time and not plan much. But today is Sunday and then she usually broadcasts live on her YouTube account. When Mary broadcasts live she usually discusses things that have happened but sometimes she has chosen to bake a delicious cake or go to the forest and show her international followers what Sweden's forests look like. But today she is going to talk about the attacks of Alien monsters. Mary has seen that the news has not yet spread nationally and she is sure that many of her foreign followers will be surprised when they hear what has happened.
Mary posts a disclaimer that she will start broadcasting her live in about 20 minutes. Hopefully, her followers will have time to sit in front of their computers and wait for the live broadcast. Mary goes out to the kitchen and takes four painkillers. Without the pills, she wouldn't have wanted to live because the pain would have been too much. Mary looks in the mirror and decides to change clothes for the live broadcast. The top she is wearing is nice, but she feels exposed because it is short and exposes her breasts. So she puts on a longer top that effectively hides her breasts. Mary goes back to the bedroom and takes out a drawing that she has painted and she plans to show it live. It is one of the followers who has asked her to paint a drawing of the old summer cottage that she has talked about so much. She has so many memories from there.
Mary goes to several Swedish news sites and looks for pictures and videos of the Alien monsters on the move and she finds several and she downloads them and puts the pictures and videos in a special folder on her computer desktop so that they are easily accessible when she broadcasts live. Several of the videos contain close-ups of people being killed by the Alien monsters. Mary has seen most of the Alien movies but she has not seen the Alien VS Predator movie where the PredAlien is in but she has found out what kind of monster it is after the Prime Minister mentioned it in his general message the previous evening. Mary finds a drone video that was posted less than half an hour ago and the video shows hundreds or thousands of Alien monsters at Zinkensdamm.
When there are three minutes left before the broadcast, Mary moves her portable webcam so that it is closer to her and she waits for the broadcast to start and she can see that there are 68 people waiting for the broadcast to start. That is more than the broadcast last Sunday. At that time, only 47 people were watching. The timer counts down to zero and she starts her broadcast.
"Hi there folks. I see that there are more viewers than last week and that is amazing. I love you all. You mean so incredibly much to me. The first thing I will do today is show a drawing that I have done this week. It is the viewer Jacoby who asked me to do the drawing and it shows the old summer cottage that I often have mentioned in my live broadcasts. This is what it looked like"
Mary shows the drawing to the viewers and she sees that many people are commenting on the chat and they think the drawing is nice. The comments that are rolling in the chat mean a lot. They show that the viewers are interested. Mary takes down the drawing and opens the folder with the pictures and videos of the Alien monsters and she starts talking again.
"Last week I mostly talked about old travel memories and what life was like in the 1980s, but today I'm going to talk about something serious that has happened here in Stockholm. I can promise you that an incredible amount of things has happened since last week and believe it or not, it's all true. Stockholm has been invaded by Alien monsters and no, I'm not talking about little gray men in spaceships but the scary slimy monsters from the Alien movies. They are often called Xenomorphs. Now you may think I'm talking nonsense but it's 100 percent true. It all started on Thursday and that day started as a completely ordinary day but turned into something else. A close friend named Cora visited Gröna Lund in the afternoon and we talked to each other and Cora broadcasted live from Gröna Lund and I have saved some of what she filmed. Sensitive viewers be warned. This happened in real life and as you will see, Cora managed to escape the monster but others were not so lucky"
Mary starts the current video clip and it starts out quite normally. Cora is standing with some friends in line for the roller coaster and they are talking to each other and laughing and joking. It seems that some of the friends are drunk but they look like they are having a lot of fun together. Cora turns around and films the people standing behind her and her friends and suddenly an Alien monster walks by and it walks up to the people.
The Alien monster penetrates its black spine-like tail into a person's back and it continues to penetrate until it penetrates the person's stomach and some intestines slide out of the open hole in the stomach. At first Cora doesn't seem to understand what she is seeing but soon she is heard saying, oh my god and the picture shakes violently. The Alien monster shoots out its inner jaw with great force and crushes another person's skull and a few seconds later it does the same thing to another person. Both Cora and her friends realize that this is serious and they move quickly towards the exit while Cora is still broadcasting live. It looks like the Alien monster is moving towards Cora and her friends, but soon the monster is no longer visible. It is only when Cora and her friends come out of the amusement park that she discovers that she is still broadcasting live and the clip ends. It is clear that all her friends are deeply shocked by what has happened.
Several of the viewers start commenting on the clip and at the same time the number of viewers increases to 82 people.
"Wait.. What? That cant be real"
"Damn. I would totally buy that Alien suit. Where can i buy that suit?"
"Um, is it just me that thinks this was a prank gone wrong? Maybe the guy in the Alien suit lost control over the suit or something"
"Uh, that aint no suit. Humans cant move like that in such a suit. Its impossible. This must be a real Xenomorph"
"How the actual fuck can that Xenomorph be real? And its on earth, not in space. Alien movies are always in space"
"They are on earth in the Alien VS Predator movies so not true"
"That Alien is drooling massevily. Look at the ground. It was already totally wet from all the drool"
"Jesus. The Alien just killed those three people in a matter of seconds"
"Damn. This turned serious very fast"
"Christ. The way the inner jaw just crushes their skulls make me sick"
"Phew! At least they died quickly. Good for them"
"Uh, am I the only one who thinks Cora is a coward? She doesn't even try to fight the Alien monster"
"Oh yeah. I can totally see you would be so much braver in this situtation. She used her brain and fled instead of being killed by the monster"
"Cora is a real trooper. She is filming what is going on and makes the sensible move and escape."
"The picture is shaky as hell. I can barely see anything and as usual the idiot is filming vertically instead of horizontally, which means you can barely see what's happening"
"To the above dude, fuck off. You see exactly whats going on. The Alien monster penetrates its tail through the body of the man and then ejects its inner jaw and crushes the skull of two people. What more you want to see?"
"I am the only one being turned on by this?"

Mary clears her throat and continues talking.
"Cora and her friends took the ferry back to Skeppsholmen and they were fine. I met Cora some hours after this incident and she was still scared which i can understand. The police later shot the monster dead but it killed 60 people and injured over 70 before it got stopped by the police. As if this wasnt bad enough, three other Alien monsters attacked people in the city but these were also shot dead by the police. I,m not sure how many got killed by the three monsters. The news never reported how many people were killed. What happened seemed like a freak accident but on friday it would get worse, much worse and i would talk about it shortly but first. Mary knows neither MIchael nor his parents and does not know who he is. Mary intends to go to the kitchen and make coffee while the two long clips are shown and she puts them in a playlist so that she does not have to open the second clip when the first has finished playing.
"Well folks. The first clip we're going to see is a bit blurry and its because it comes from surveillance cameras. The police have made this clip available. I don't know if the person seen placing the eggs has been found or not and I don't know who he is. If anyone knows who he is, please feel free to write it in the chat comments, but only write the name if you really know it's the person in question so that no innocent people get involved. Try to keep a nice atmosphere in the chat comments. Personal attacks are not allowed. While the clips are being shown, I'm going to fix some coffee"
Mary sees that the number of viewers has grown to 115 people and that is a record. There have never been this many viewers when she has broadcast live and that makes her happy. Mary starts the clip that shows Michael placing several of the Alien eggs in Kungsträdgården. Mary thinks that the air in the bedroom feels trapped and she opens her bedroom window so that it is completely open. The window is in front of the table with the laptop and the sun shines on the table and makes it warm. Mary goes out to the kitchen and fixes the kettle. Meanwhile, an Alien warrior sneaks into Mary's garden and places an Alien egg on the wall of the villa outside the open window. The viewers on YouTube eagerly comment on what is happening in the clip that is shown.
"Well well. This clip changes everything. It is clear that this was a planned sabotage and I hope that the culprit has been found and is in custody"
"Oh no, not the horse. Who is this idiot?"
"Can an Alien be born from a horse?"
"Sure, but it will be four legged like the Alien in Alien 3 which was spawned from a dog."
"Poor horse but good for the Alien"
"Woah. Wait a minute now. Seriously, just wait a minute. How the hell can this person carry the Alien eggs without them opening and him being attacked by a facehugger? Those eggs always open when a human is close enough and he is carrying the eggs. It shouldnt be possible."
"Thats alot of Alien eggs. Wet and slimy."
"Something tells me that the film director James Cameron would enjoy being there."
"It's obvious that there must be an Alien Queen in the city. Otherwise there wouldn't have been so many eggs."
I'm also sure that there must be an Alien Queen somewhere. Probably nearby. But really, how did the eggs get on the cart in the first place? Did the man place the cart above the Alien Queen's ovipositor and let her shit the eggs out until the cart was full?"

"Ouf. Just when you thought this story couldnt be weirder it gets even weirder. Who is this guy? How can he hold the eggs without being attacked by the facehuggers? How has he filled the cart with the eggs in the first place? Why is he doing this? I have so many questions."
"Why is no one stopping him? Someone should have seen this and understood it would create problems but no, no one even looks at this guy"
"They probably dont dare stopping him. What if he throws an Alien egg at them."
"Good point."
"Damn. This was a worse situation then i first thought. The young girls on the blanket had no way to defend themselves from the facehuggers and he was there seeing them attacking them. It even looks like hes enjoying this."
"That guy must gets his ass kicked right now."
"Anyone knows who he is yet?"
"No sorry."
Mary comes back from the kitchen and she puts her coffee cup on the table by the laptop and she reads the chat comments and she agrees with what they write. Mary removes a leaf from the table. The leaf has blown in through the open window and Mary goes to the open window and throws the leaf out but she does not see the Alien egg outside the window. The egg senses Mary's presence and opens with a sticky sound but Mary does not hear the sound and she sits down at the chair again and continues to read the viewers' comments.
The Facehugger crawls out of the egg because it notices that there is no one near the open egg. The Facehugger uses its eight digits and walks up the outer wall of the villa and comes up to the window sill by the open window. Two of the Facehuggers digits are visible on the window sill but Mary is concentrated on her live broadcast and does not see them. Mary senses movement and looks up and at the same time the Facehugger jumps towards her and lands in Mary's face. Mary starts to slide backwards from the chair and accidentally drags her webcam with her and when she lands on the floor, the facehugger lifts three of his digits and the webcam rolls in behind the facehuggers digits and shows what is happening inside the facehuggers digits. Viewers see the facehugger thrust his long slimy proboscis through her mouth and they see that it forces her mouth open.
The facehuggers slimy proboscis continues to thrust through Mary's open mouth and the webcam shows everything in full HD quality. The sun shines in between the facehuggers digits and makes everything clearly visible. Many of the viewers at first don't understand what they are seeing but after a short while most of them understand and they write a lot of comments on the live chat.
"Um okay. Things just got very strange."
"What just happened? I dont understand. Can anyone explain?"
"Well, she got facehugged."
"Hold on. Is that long thing the Facehuggers proboscis?"
"Yeah. Its raping her."
"Ow. The shit just got real. Be afraid. Be very afraid."
"Nah, she doesnt know Jeff Goldblum "
"Huh? Whaat?"
"But jesus. How far down will that proboscis move? Its several centimeters down already and its not stopping."
"That thing must be deep into her esophagus by now."
"The proboscis is really long."

"Why doesn't she bite off the beast's proboscis?"
"She's not conscious so she can't. The proboscis would probably bleed acid if she managed to bite it off."
"Do we know that they actually bleed acid?"

The facehuggers proboscis swells to double its size and begins to undulate slightly. The little black eggs begin to squirt out of the facehuggers proboscis and they are not visible but the webcam microphone picks up the watery sound as the little eggs squirt through the proboscis and it is obvious to the viewers what is happening. The little black eggs move down towards Mary's chest and one of them begins to grow into a Chestburster.
"Oh shit. The proboscis swells. That is not a good sign."
"Oh damn. Eww. That is something i dont want to see"
"Ew Ew Ew."
"I,m outa here. Not gonna watch this."
"I really want to look away but I can't. This is so incredibly bizarre."
"This live is really strange but i enjoy it."
"I hope that you understand that this is happening right now."
"I hope this is being recorded in case the live gets shut down."
"When i opened this page i hadnt counted on seeing porn."
"Eggs squirting now."
"Ow Ow. The way the proboscis bulges!"

"Ok guys. i hope you all realize that this is the last live we will see with Mary. I want you all to understand that she will die and its not gonna be fun. Cant we all show her sympahty."

The facehugger loosens its grip on Mary's face and it crawls across the floor, its digits dragging the webcam with it. The webcam finally detaches from the facehugger's digits and lies still on the floor, showing the bedroom ceiling. The viewers are shocked and they wait for Mary to wake up and continue her live. There are now 225 viewers on the live. Seven of the viewers have posted a link to the live broadcast on the BBC tip line but they have not opened the link yet.
