Ch 10
After Barry had lost his powers and 2013 Barry got his powers, they both woke up and itreallyhurt because now Barry lost a tooth.
Then suddenly the alarms rang and Barry tried to phase but he couldn't because he lost his powers.
"Shit! I'm slow." Barry realized.
Then he and 2013 Barry went to 2013 Barry's apartment.
"Barry, the accident gave you powers, but took mine away. So, I don't know how I get back. Without access to the Speed Force, I don't know how I ever leave." Barry explained.
Then he realized that 2013 Barry was just not listening at all. "Do you understand what I'm saying?"
"I have powers now?!" 2013 Barry asked exictedly.
"Well, yeah, but-"
Then suddenly 2013 Barry used his superspeed to get out of the place really fast and Barry just stood there dumbfounded.
Really?
Then 2013 Barry zoomed everywhere across Central City with his superspeed but then he ran into something and the something caught fire and the fire actually vaporized his clothes and 2013 Barry was startled, then he zoomed back home and after Barry had waited a long time, 2013 Barry suddenly came back in a blue flash of Speed Force energy.
"I could have told you about the clothes. It's friction." Barry explained. "You run too fast, and regular fabrics are gonna burn up. It's the same reason why you can't move people very far at hyperspeed. "Look, some things you can move. Like, you can move, for instance, a microwave."
But 2013 Barry still wasn't listening and now he was eating stuff, then he just flopped on the couch. "Are we always this sleepy?" 2013 Barry asked drowsily. "And hungry and naked?"
"Well, the first two, yes." Barry clarified. "The third one, no. I've figured that part out. And honestly, if we're gonna do this there's a lot I'm gonna have to explain to you. So, a good place to start, I guess, is that, yeah, the original suit was actually made out of this polysynth..."
But then 2013 Barry just passed right on the couch and went limp, sleeping almost immediately.
Barry then sighed in frustration.
This 2013 Barry really was a piece of work.
"Or...we'll just pick this up tomorrow."
