"You couldn't do anything about her anyway, she's too powerful!" Willow told him.
"We can pull her teeth." The visiting Xander shot back. "I can give Giles the Montesi Formula and he can have a powerful, good Magic user anchor it to the Hellmouth and destroy all the vampires. It has the added bonus of shutting down the world's largest, most active Hellmouth. Than they can study the spell and figure out how to modify it to do the same thing to shut down any other Hellmouth and destroy more demons. We don't need a Power that will rule us in exchange for peace to 'save' us. We can save ourselves."
"That's not possible, Xander, humans can't do any of that!" Willow insisted.
"Xander did it last Halloween." Dawn shot back. "He wiped out the vampires and closed down the Hellmouth. If it can work in one reality, it can work in others and he's given that spell to other versions of the Scoobies in other realities, he can do it here too."
"The sacrifices you think make this a worthwhile effort, Willow, will likely kill Cordelia and did kill me." The local Xander reminded her, getting confused looks from the visiting Xander and Cordelia, who hadn't heard about his death and return yet and a wild-eyed, frightened look from local Cordelia. "Angel knocked me out and left me on the street and a vampire tore out my throat and Buffy cared so little about the fact that I never made it back here after she sent me out to deliver a message to Angel that she didn't check on whether I was alright or not when I didn't come back. I'm hoping that's because of whatever mojo you've been working and not because she actually doesn't care. Angel's endangered my life before, I know he doesn't care."
"If you died last night, how are you here right now?!" Cordelia demanded. "Please tell me you're not a vampire!"
"No, Cor, no vampire here. My soul got sent back to Earth and I've been souped up to carry out a mission of vengeance. The Spirit of Vengeance empowered me and now I'm stronger then Buffy."
"The Spirit of Vengeance?" The visiting Xander exclaimed. "You've been empowered by a force of nature that makes gods on both sides tremble and pray they never catch it's attention? This Power of Willow's, if it did succeed in getting herself born, you might just be strong enough to turn her into sticky paste!" Reminding them of Cordelia's threat to Willow.
The only sound in the Library was the crow sitting on top of the bookshelf, cawing.
"But, we can do so much good -." Willow tried again. "I can do good things with Magic, I can help Buffy, I know I can! The Power promised - and -."
"No, Willow, stop." Cordelia said firmly. "I don't want to be a part of helping something enslave the world, that's not a good thing, no matter how you look at it. And I won't let you force me."
"And I won't help destroy the world." Buffy said softly. "Giles says that's what Twilight would involve, Angel and me, destroying the world together. I won't take the chance that the world I've died protecting and sacrificed Angel to protect would be destroyed if we bring about Twilight. A name like that implies the end of something and I won't risk that being all life on Earth. How do we keep Willow from influencing us again?"
"I can strip her power and bind her ability to cast at all." The visiting Xander answered. "This Willow has dark power, just like the last one we encountered. She also claimed she didn't know she had demon powers in her and that it was probably an accident that she broke that Xander and Cordelia up. Now I'm wondering if she didn't make a deal too."
"No! You can't, it's my power! I won't let you!"
"You can't match me, Willow." The visiting Xander softly. "Not only have I been practicing longer then you, I am the Guardian of the Sanctum Sanctorum, I can access power that could destroy the universe if I wanted to. You've caused a lot of pain, I See it. This Faith girl may never fully recover from what you've done to her, you've damaged Buffy's and Xander's friendship and caused both him and Cordelia a lot of pain. The end doesn't justify the means. The price you are willing to pay for your power is too much when that cost is the blood and tears of innocents. I'm stripping your power and I'm going to bind your ability to cast and you cannot stop me." He raised his hands and sent the Crimson Bands of Cyttorak flowing out from his hands. They wrapped around her body and her mouth. "Can't have you asking to borrow power while I'm stripping you of your power, Willow." He told the struggling girl. "I hope you can recover from the damage you've done to your own mind and soul."
"Do you think this Power that Willow made a deal with could ever give her more power?" Buffy asked.
"Without the ability to cast, she'd never be able to hold or use it." Visiting Xander answered and began stripping Willow's power and binding her.

A/N One of those throw away lines on Buffy that never get explained is where the sick Joyce gets a clue as to Dawn's origins and tells Buffy that Dawn's important to the world, precious. I started thinking about just how she might be important and how she could help the world, even accidentally.
