A/N Is Kendra going to get a romance? Not quite yet, she's eighteen, somewhat emotionally stunted and still emotionally recovering from the Cruciamentum, even if it has been nearly six months from her point of view. But I liked Aiden before he went black eyed Wraith enzyme addict, so maybe, in time. 😀

Amy, the girl who'd put up the force field, had fallen into step beside Aiden and he noticed her eyes were no longer black and asked her why.
"I was channeling energy drawn from another source, in another dimension." She told him. "My eyes change because the type of energy I channel affects them. Xander uses different sources that don't affect his eyes."
"Oh." Aiden nodded, that kinda made sense, he guessed, even if he couldn't know exactly how the energy could affect her eyes. It only took a few minutes to arrive at the 'gate and Xander noted it was a different color than the ones they'd seen in the Milky Way were.
"It's made of the same metal." Sheppard told him. "But from sources here in Pegasus, which affects its color, I guess." He shrugged. "Works just the same." He motioned them toward the 'gate. "Elizabeth is waiting for us. That's Dr. Elizabeth Weir." Figuring that Xander, unusual name, would want to be formal when addressing the leader of their expedition.
"Welcome to Atlantis." Dr. Weir greeted their guests and watched their expressions as they took in the control room. Awe and puzzlement.
"Atlantis?" Xander asked. "Did you name it that?" Knowing that Atlantis existed in Batman's reality and belonged to humans who'd settled the ocean quite a long time ago.
"No, the Ancients did." She answered with a smile. "A great city sunk beneath the ocean, a story told to our ancestors at some point."
"The Ancients? The people Dr. Jackson named, the ones he thinks created the repository Colonel O'Neill got his head stuck in and maybe made the Stargates."
"The same and they did." Elizabeth confirmed. "We've learned a great deal about them from the repository and an outpost we found in Antarctica, including the fact that some of our people, such as General O'Neill and Colonel Sheppard have a genetic connection to them. One that allows them to access and control the technology."
"Hm, we'll have to let the Stargate Command we know, know that."
"Colonel Sheppard did mention you had an information and technology exchange set up with them in another reality and that you might be willing to help us with our Wraith problem." Dr. Weir said cautiously, his age was a bit of a concern for her, as eighteen year olds didn't have the kind of authority this one appeared to have on Earth much anymore. But time was, they did and here in Pegasus they still did as well.
"Yes, forgive me, Dr Weir." Xander smiled slightly. "Atlantis' beauty made me forget my manners. Mrs. Summers and Ms. Calendar and Dr. Dormer would scold me if they knew. I am Alexander Harris, Guardian of the Sanctum Sanctorum and member of the Scoobies." He extended his hand to shake hers and then introduced the four young women with him. "My girlfriend, Cordelia Chase, the Valkyrie." The titles were causing Dr. Weir's eyebrows to climb. "Amy Madison, my fellow student of the Mystic Arts." And motioned to the dark skinned girl and the other brunette. "Kendra Young and Faith Lahaine, Slayers. It's a pleasure to meet you and see this beautiful place for ourselves."
"Sanctum Sanctorum? Holy of Holies? And Valkyrie, female warriors in Norse legend?"
"Yes, to both." Xander nodded. "My position is as the official Guardian of the Sanctum Sanctorum."
The title suggested a religious organization of some type, Elizabeth thought and traditionally such an appointment could be a lifetime appointment, like a monarchy and could indeed be awarded to someone young. And if Colonel Sheppard's report of the battle with the Wraith was accurate and she had no reason to believe it wasn't, than Valkyrie and Slayers were appropriate titles for the young women with him.
"Colonel Sheppard relayed your concern to me."
"Forgive me if it sounded rude." Xander stated, not actually an apology, more of a request. "But even after I'd expressed that concern to Stargate Command, members of the NID still attempted to abduct me and demand that I just turn over our technology to them. I felt it best to be clear, we won't tolerate such attempts from anyone. Especially after our mothers were abducted just today for someone's idea of a prank. It's left us in a very none jokey mood, I'm afraid."
"I understand and I assure you, we will not attempt any such thing. But we do need to have a medical exam done, we can't risk the possibility that you might be carrying something harmful to us."
"As long it doesn't involve needles." Xander answered. "No blood drawn and nothing injected."
"You'll find the technology we have access to makes it unnecessary." She smiled.
"A sign of a truly advanced and civilized society." Xander smiled back slightly. "And then we can talk about what we can do for each other and about these Wraith. Alien space vampires. Someone has a sick sense of humor, to send Ms. Calendar to somewhere where vampires that prey on humans exist."
"Why?" Dr. Weird asked curiously.
"Because we wiped out the vampires in our reality a year and a half ago." He answered. "Ms. Calendar survived the war, something counterparts of her didn't, only to end up having to fight them in another reality. And now I really want to have a conversation with the guy who thought sending her here was a great idea. One of those, only one of us is going to enjoy it and it's not going to be him, kind of conversations."
