With the excitement of the day behind them Robert and Holly had a calm evening and ended up going to sleep fairly early. They didn't always acknowledge the day they legally became man and wife but when she woke up there was a rose laying next to her. She picked it up and smelled it.
Robert walked back in the room with a tray of breakfast. "Good morning, gorgeous."
"You've been busy." Holly said as she stretched before grabbing her robe.
"Jayne helped me out. Actually Jayne made us both breakfast but wanted me to take some credit." Robert admitted.
"That was very thoughtful and so unnecessary after what she went through yesterday." Holly tied her robe then grabbed a piece of bacon.
"I told her that too but she is stubborn. I don't know where she gets that from." Robert winked at Holly.
"All I can say is poor JJ." Holly laughed and wrapped her arm around one of Robert's. "I know this isn't the anniversary that we usually celebrate but I'm so glad 42 years ago you saved my life."
"I would do it again, every day. You in a way saved mine. Changed it for the better." Robert kissed Holly's head. He loved how whole they both felt together.
"You definitely changed mine, too. I've always wanted to be a better person when you are in my life. Even when you aren't I want to but life is so much harder without you." Holly admitted to Robert.
"I get that. Both times I thought I lost you it was like a part of me was gone, the best part." Robert gave Holly a kiss. "What do you say for us wearing a couple of sweaters today, for old times sake?" Robert teased.
Holly laughed. "I wouldn't be opposed but I was thinking maybe a nice dinner, a dress being more appropriate."
"A tux in my case. I know how sexy you find me in that." Robert wiggled his brows.
Holly gave him a look. "Almost as sexy as I find you out of it." Holly moved to kiss him deeply.
Robert moved the tray out of the way. "Do you want to wait for breakfast?" He asked.
"You read my mind." Holly pulled him to her and kissed him deeply.
