Juri Han

Backstory:

At the age of 15, Juri was the preeminent practitioner of Tae Kwon Do. Her father was a lawyer in charge of prosecuting organized crime operations. Juri describes her father as wielding "justice like a blade, slaying evildoers left and right". The whole country respected him. Juri included. She did as he told her and polished her Taekwondo skills as a result. Juri was also a perfect student, both on paper and in the dojang. She won tournaments and they called her the "Beautiful Genius." However, when her father started targeting Shadaloo, her family was kidnapped by the organization. During the ordeal, Juri lost her parents and her left eye was gravely wounded.

Juri is a dangerous, hedonistic sociopath who likes to taunt her opponents and doesn't care about anything but satisfying her dangerous whims. She became an agent of S.I.N and the test subject for one of their most advanced pieces of technology: a cybernetic eye implant known as the Feng Shui Engine. The implant, a smaller version of Seth's Tanden Engine, takes ki energy from the surrounding nature and feeds it to the Engine's user to heighten their abilities and make them more powerful. Juri pledges loyalty to Seth in exchange for the "new toy", then enters the tournament to test her new abilities... and further her own dark agendas.

Song: Seoul Festival

Within the clandestine depths of Seoul, South Korea, an illegal fighting ring harbored, where betting individuals gathered to place their wagers on the victorious fighters. Amongst them, Juri Han stood tall, undefeated and unchallenged, for every opponent fell easily before her fierce Taekwondo skills. She wore a smug, yet bored smile, as she found the competition to be disappointingly lacking.

Juri let out a casual yawn, covering her mouth with a bored gesture, before gracefully stretching into a standing scorpion pose to further showcase her skills. With a tone tinged with mock disappointment, she spoke up, addressing the crowd,

"Come on, boys and girls. You've gotta give me something more if you think you can take me on."

Despite her thrill-seeking tendencies and love for violence, Juri found herself in a rut, struggling to find true purpose since the defeat of M. Bison. Though she'd deny it, deep down, she knew she had a predicament.

A sudden, sharp yell echoed out from the crowd, catching everyone's attention, including Juri's. She turned her gaze towards the source of the outburst, and her eyes fell upon a new challenger entering the ring. It was none other than the Taekwondo Master of Justice, Kim Kaphwan, clad in his signature white dobok. With a steadfast determination, Kaphwan pointed at Juri, specifically singling her out.

"You, Juri Han! Your villainy is abhorrent, and you stain the teachings of Taekwondo with your sadistic ways! Let me show you the power of my training!"

Juri couldn't help but flash a smirk as she bent downward and sized up Kim, her gaze filled with a mix of mockery and amusement. She then stood straight once again, gracefully executing a flawless standing split, further showcasing her remarkable flexibility. With a mocking tone, she responded,

"Is that so? Are you some sort of rule-abiding boy scout of the martial art? Well then, tell me, which part of your body do you want me to break first? I'll gladly shatter your fragile body, along with any insignificant rules that you hold dear."

Kim stood tall, unflinching, and took on a firm martial stance, poised for combat. With a resolute expression, he declared,

"Even if you shatter my body into pieces, the principles of justice shall never yield to your malevolent kicks, or to your wicked heart! Brace yourself, for I shall unleash my full fury upon you!"

Juri Han's eyes gleamed with sadistic anticipation, her blood beginning to course with exhilaration at the prospect of shattering his resolve, along with his body. Without wasting a moment, she launched the attack first, delivering an explosive back jab with her elbow, followed by a nimble spin that culminated in a reverse roundhouse kick. Kim, reacting instantly, raised his leg just in time to intercept Juri's elbow strike with his knee, dodging the kick and swiftly creating some distance between them.

Juri continued her relentless and aggressive onslaught, her every action fueled by her addictive passion for sadism and causing pain. With lightning-fast speed, she flung her left leg forward for a brief but deliberate kick, seamlessly transitioning into a powerful right leg straight kick that followed suit.

Watching her closely and matching her strikes, Kim observed that her technique had a unique flair, contrasting his more traditional and honorable style. He realized that Juri's attacks were not only fierce but also carried a heavier weight, designed to maximize suffering. Kim, appalled by Juri's twisted use of Taekwondo's principles, exclaimed, his voice filled with disbelief and anger,

"Your kicks... They're even more wicked in person than I imagined! How dare you defile the honorable path of Taekwondo with your malicious actions!"

Suddenly, he lunged forward with a formidable straight kick, known as the Twio Yop Chagi technique, intending to knock Juri off balance. Acting quickly, Juri raised her leg to block the attack, only to find herself caught off guard when he countered her defense by swiftly kicking her shin with the Naeryo Chagi. She yelped as she flailed to not fall backwards, only to receive an axe kick to her stomach, getting laid into the concrete floor hard.

Initially, Juri winced in pain from the impact. However, a sultry moan escaped her lips, revealing an unexpected sense of pleasure in the sensation. Realizing that the virtuous man before her was no pushover, having managed to take her by surprise and knock her down with his skills, Juri found herself intrigued by the prospect of conquering a true challenge. Her voice dripping with sadistic anticipation, she chuckled and purred,

"Ahaha, I always enjoy it when my toys don't easily give in... You won't break so easily, will you?"

In a swift and cunning move, Juri took advantage of Kim's vulnerable position, kicking out his standing leg and causing him to fall onto his knee against the concrete ground. He cried out in pain from the impact, but before he could react, Juri twisted her body and delivered a powerful shin kick to the side of his head, forcibly knocking him off balance. Utilizing the momentum, she gracefully flipped back onto her feet, ready to continue the fight.

Juri sprinted towards Kim with a series of Renko Kicks, aiming for his shins and then his face, seeking to overwhelm him. Despite being knocked down, Kim demonstrated his determination by refusing to remain on the ground, jumping away from the low kick and meeting her high kick with a swift parry of his own shin, effectively deflecting her attack.

Juri and Kim continued their intense exchange of moves, initially matching each other's rising kick and subsequent axe kick. Their respective techniques, Naeryo Chagi and Korenzan, canceled each other out in perfect symmetry. Undeterred, the sadistic thrill-seeker elevated her attack by launching into the Tensenrin pinwheel kick, seamlessly delivering five rapid, spinning strikes in mid-air. With a final, powerful kick, she sent Kim sprawling to the ground, crashing onto the concrete surface hard.

Kim's pain subsided as he quickly regained his bearings, rolling away just in time to evade Juri's plunging kick. Taking advantage of the momentary vulnerability, he swiftly executed a sweep kick, successfully knocking her off balance. Seizing the opportunity, he leaped into the air and unleashed a brutal heel drop, slamming Juri into the ground, mirroring the move she had just performed on him.

Displaying remarkable resilience and agility, Juri swiftly regained her footing just in time to deliver a lunging kick, which Kim managed to parry with his knee. However, he inadvertently exposed a vulnerability, leaving himself open for her next move. Exploiting the gap in his defense, Juri executed the Spider Fang Throw with finesse. Placing one of her feet on the back of Kim's head to bring him down, she simultaneously lifted her other leg to deliver a sharp knee strike to his face. While still airborne, Juri spun with a seamless motion, executing a powerful side kick to his midsection with her opposite leg, forcefully pushing him away.

Kim continued to demonstrate his skill and adaptability by kicking Juri's shin, executing an overhead kick aimed at her head with a mid-air jump, and concluding the sequence with a forceful side kick that sent her staggering back. Recovering quickly, Juri rose to her feet, an amused yet predatory expression on her face as she observed him intently. She chuckled, her voice filled with mockery and fascination, and taunted him,

"Huh? Are you mimicking my style? You'll have a lot more fun if you embrace my fighting approach."

The very thought of adopting Juri's twisted version of Taekwondo disgusted Kim to his core. Turning his back on her, he firmly declared,

"Don't mistake our shared kicks for similarity. Your approach to Taekwondo is corrupt and distorted! I shall uphold the true values of the martial art. I am a champion of justice and freedom, and I will use it to create a better, peaceful world!"

Juri grew impatient with Kim's unwavering idealism and let out a disinterested sigh. She rolled her eyes and muttered,

"Whatever, buzzkill."

She then initiated a Senpusha technique, launching a pinwheel kick with the added presence of purple energy trailing her feet. Kim stood firm and responded with his Kuu Sajin, executing rapid spin kicks that met Juri's offense head-on, causing fiery explosions to erupt upon each impact between their legs. The two remained fiercely determined, as Juri unleashed her powerful Fuharenjin move, only to find Kim countering with his own Hou'ou Tenbu Kyaku. This transformed their encounter into a contest of stamina, as their legs continued to connect with explosive energies, testing each other's endurance with every collision. Juri's voice dripped with eagerness as she proclaimed,

"Alright, I've had enough games. You've got my full attention now, so make sure you can keep it interesting!"

With a wicked cackle, she tore off her eye patch to reveal her Feng Shui Engine, an imposing device serving as her left eye. Then, without warning, she launched her ruthless assault, moving faster than he anticipated. As he struggled to keep up, she unleashed a series of devastating techniques, seamlessly transitioning into her Fahurenkyaku, utilizing her flexible contortions to land a barrage of attacks before finally kicking him away.

Juri swiftly lunged for a Shikusen dive kick, striking Kim's chest and immediately following up with two upward kick strikes, sending him flying forcefully into a nearby wall. As he painfully ricocheted off the surface, gasping in pain, Juri seized the opportunity to unleash a rapid flurry of vertical spinning kicks, each impact propelling him higher into the air. Reaching the height of the whirlwind of strikes, Juri delivered a powerful axe kick, landing a crushing final blow that sent him plummeting to the ground.

Taking advantage of her Feng Shui Engine, she landed gracefully before her airborne opponent, immediately launching a ferocious spinning back kick to his vulnerable back. Keeping her prey pinned against her foot, she proceeded to "caress" his face in a disturbingly seductive yet sadistic manner. Finally, with a cruel finale, she forcefully slammed his head to the ground with a thunderous axe kick, supposedly finishing him off. Juri unleashed a sinister cackle, her voice dripping with sadistic pleasure,

"Mmm, that felt so good, didn't it? Not many have survived my Kaisen Dankairaku. It's a pity to ruin such a pretty face."

Juri cackled as she twisted her foot back and forth against the back of his head, rubbing it in that she enjoyed beating him down, despite his virtues. To Juri's surprise, she realized that her opponent, Kim Kaphwan, had somehow managed to maintain consciousness despite the brutal onslaught of her attacks. He slowly struggled to push himself up against her foot, his nose bloodied and shattered. But he was determined and refused to give in, declaring,

"Your attacks... are nothing... compared to the principles of justice upheld by my Taekwondo!"

Her expression quickly changed from gleeful to irked as she flipped around and viciously stomped her heel into the base of Kim's back, eliciting a pained cry from him. Juri snapped, her voice full of frustration,

"Shut up! I'm sick and tired of hearing your idiotic obsession with justice!"

With deliberate malice, she continued to press her heel forcefully into the lower region of Kim's back, as if attempting to crush his spine. Her voice dripping with frustration and anger, she ranted further,

"Might makes right! What good has righteousness and faith done for anyone? Absolutely nothing. Take Ken Masters for example. He played by the rules, and look where it got him. When you're up against someone who ignores the rules, being fair doesn't mean a damn thing!"

Kim gritted his teeth and fought through the physical agony, determined not to let her sadistic pressure break him physically or spiritually. He argued back, his voice filled with resilience,

"Even if... some honorable men fall to evil... justice shall never be completely eliminated!"

Despite the pain, he reached back and managed to land a solid strike on the side of Juri's knee, causing her to lose balance for a moment. Taking advantage of the momentary respite, Kim twisted and kicked her away, allowing him to rise and gingerly massage his throbbing lower back to alleviate the pain. Juri continued to display her sadistic enthusiasm, a wicked grin spreading across her face as she prepared for continued battle. She licked her lips and issued a chilling warning,

"Then prove your convictions of justice to me. If you fail to impress, I'll have no choice but to end your life."

Seizing the shift in atmosphere and sensing Juri's intent to kill, Kim decided to release his restraint, allowing the true spirit of Taekwondo to guide him.

Juri, filled with sadistic excitement, charged forward and managed to land a strike to his neck, only to find herself caught off guard when Kim grabbed her leg. Undeterred, he immediately countered with a powerful kick to her chest, launching into a fast-paced assault of rapid, consecutive strikes, culminating in a forceful axe kick. He unleashed a relentless barrage of attacks, the blows landing with incredible speed, faster than the human eye can perceive, as the fight ring audience could barely see.

Kim concluded his onslaught with a powerful heel drop that slammed Juri's face into the ground, leaving her nose shattered and bleeding. Growling angrily, she defiantly rose back to her feet, then launched into a somersault, her legs extended and hitting Kim with a force filled with energy. As she landed gracefully in the splits, she prepared for a counterattack. Juri executed a twisting reverse back flip, striking the underside of Kim's chin with a swift, forceful kick. She spoke with a sinister tone, her voice filled with malicious intent.

"This will put an end to your suffering! Just give up!"

As she unleashed the attack, a massive, multi-hitting projectile surged across the field towards Kim, hitting him head-on. The impact sent him flying into a nearby dumpster, which crumpled under the devastating force. Kim let out a pained cry from the attack, his body crushed against the metal surface. Juri taunted Kim, her voice filled with sadistic delight as she stumbled slightly, her body displaying visible signs of damage from the numerous hits he had landed on her. Bruises covered her body, and her broken nose streamed with blood. She quipped sarcastically,

"So, was that good for you too? Don't tell me you're exhausted already."

Kim rose to his feet, fueled by an indomitable spirit that couldn't be broken.

"Get ready!"

He shouted a battle cry, charging towards the surprised Juri, who was caught off guard in her vulnerable state. Without pause, he unleashed a flurry of lightning-fast attacks, each blow connecting with powerful force. The barrage of strikes propelled them into the air, leaving Juri flailing in pain, unable to effectively defend herself against the relentless assault.

Kim's final move culminated in a powerful double kick to Juri's chest, unleashing the manifestation of his will in the form of a brilliant phoenix-like aura. As the phoenix glowed with the brilliance of its mythical namesake, Kim Kaphwan dropped back, his arms crossed in a powerful, resolute pose. Meanwhile, Juri crashed to the ground, her body defeated.

As Juri weakly sat up, mumbling to herself in frustration at her defeat, Kim approached her with a stern expression. But instead of gloating, he extended a sympathetic gesture. He spoke with a firm yet compassionate tone,

"I recognize the corruption within you. Evil has warped your perception of kindness and justice. However, I don't believe it's too late for redemption. If you join my rehabilitation program, we can help guide you towards a path of justice once more."

Juri huffed, crossing her arms and legs in a display of rebelliousness. With an annoyed tone, she retorted,

"Geez, you're making me yawn. Like I told that kick-loving officer, I'm not about to apologize for anything."

Her memories flashed back to a time when her rival, Chun-Li, had offered a similar path of redemption. However, Juri firmly believed that such a path wasn't meant for her.

Kim observed Juri with a firm but sympathetic expression, stating sternly,

"At the very least, justice demands that I take dangerous individuals off the streets. Letting you run free without consequences isn't just."

Before she could protest, he quickly responded with a powerful kick to her head, knocking her out cold. Kim then proceeded to pick her up and leave the fighting ring. Even if he couldn't save her, he could still uphold his principles of justice by preventing her from causing further harm. He saw it as his duty to protect others on the path of righteous justice.

Strength: Okay, so finding out their maximum potential is tricky. Losing her original Feng Shui Engine means that she lost her ability to blow up something as large as an amusement park, with no evidence that she can replicate it. Still, even without it, she's still stronger than the likes of Cammy and Chun-Li, the latter of which can stop a car with 18.34 tons of force. Even if the the engiene made her only twice as strong, she'd only be 1.15X stronger than his 32 ton strength feat, comparable to Mai Shiranui.

Speed: Juri at base can effortlessly outpace the likes of Cammy and Chun-Li, and with her Feng Shui Engine, it's likely she can briefly increase her speed to Mach 11,266. Kim scales to Mai and Terry, who can react at speeds of Mach 17,480.61. That makes Kim 1.55X faster.

Skill: These two are respective masters of the art, and Juri can certainly exploit Kim's more traditional form to deliver the pain. But thanks to being several inches taller and about 50 pounds heavier, those along with his 1.55X speed advantage would mean he'll have an easier time striking her and tanking her hits.

Experience: I'd say they relatively have equal experience. Han has at most 5 years extra, but Juri is more experienced at non-tournament fights.

Powers: Juri's Feng Shui Engine provides a helpful stat boost to match his strength and speed, but if Kim felt like it, he could destroy it with a well placed kick, thus rendering her weaker, and even more slower.

The winner is Kim Kaphwan.

A/N: To my fans, I'm going to take a hiatus on this series for a while. All this math is getting to me. So I'm going to focus on my other stories for the time being. And I humbly ask that if you're a digital artist who wants to adapt my chapters into a more visual based format, talk to me if you want to get through the hassle of asking all these franchises permission to use all these characters.
