Twilight Sparkle
Backstory:
Twilight Sparkle represents the Element of Magic. As the student of Princess Celestia, Twilight is sent to Ponyville from her initial home in Canterlot in order to learn the value of friendship. Despite her initial hesitation, she quickly makes several close friends and ends up saving the town, along with all of Equestria, on multiple occasions.
Eventually, her growth and heroism are acknowledged by Celestia, who turns Twilight into an Alicorn princess. After the defeat of Tirek, Twilight realizes her role as Princess of Friendship. After Celestia and Luna retired, Twilight took the role of the ruler of Equestria.

Backstory:
Sonic the Hedgehog is a hedgehog gifted with the power of super-sonic speed, and the ability to control the power of the Chaos Emeralds. Considered by many to be the hero of the world, he has opposed the villainous reign of the evil Dr. Eggman and his Eggman Empire since his early childhood. Sonic's speed is his ultimate weapon, and he has used it to help those in need, as well as foil his enemies' plans. Although he is sometimes overconfident and assumes he can deal with things on his own, Sonic also realizes he has friends to back him up in troubled situations. Sonic is clever which allows him to have ways to foil villains plans. The primary field agent of the Knothole Freedom Fighters, he is willing to put his life on the line for those he cares about.

In the magical world of Equestria, the small town of Ponyville was home to many unique ponies, one of whom was the exceptional alicorn Twilight Sparkle. With her friends and the countless allies she had aided on her adventures, she had successfully halted the forces of evil, bringing about a period of unprecedented unity across the entire realm. The restoration of Canterlot Castle meant that Twilight was destined to take up the mantle as Princess Celestia's rightful successor.
Twilight Sparkle was indulging in quality time with her dearest friends, savoring a delightful day before the impending burden of leadership. Just as the group was enjoying their leisure, a spinning ring materialized at the outskirts of town, opening a portal through which a speedy blue blur shot into their dimension. The Six Mares barely had time to register the swift occurrence before the sonic boom hit, shattering the sound barrier and causing a tumultuous rush of wind that unleashed chaos upon the area.
As the group's eardrums suffered from the impact of the rapid sonic boom, Twilight swiftly took charge and utilized her magical abilities to heal their damaged hearing. With a determined declaration, she assured her friends,
"Don't worry! I'll catch that sorry cerulean speedster!"
Unafraid, she unfurled her pegasus wings and took to the skies, propelling herself forward in pursuit of the unknown entity that had zoomed past them at incredible speed. Despite flying as fast as her natural abilities allowed, Twilight struggled to keep pace with the mysterious entity. It moved at an astonishing speed, akin to Rainbow Dash performing her renowned Sonic Rainboom, but maintained a flawless degree of control and precision. Despite the rapid pace, it appeared to effortlessly maneuver around obstacles like trees and rocks that loomed in its path, demonstrating an impressive level of control over its movement at such high speeds.
Twilight focused her magic on herself, methodically enhancing her speed and gradually closing the distance between herself and the elusive blue blur. As she successfully caught up to its speed, she discovered a creature she had never encountered before. A bipedal hedgehog, with a cobalt blue fur coat, ran with a sense of casual ease, donning red and white sneakers. His swift pace felt almost normal to him, unbeknownst to Twilight, it was the fastest being in existence, Sonic the Hedgehog.
"Hey, can you please slow down?!"
Sonic looked over, and smirked.
"As if! Speed is my game, and when I gotta go fast, I go fast! Like this!"
The sassy and dismissive teenager elected to double his speed and leave her in his dust. Sonic's display of arrogance was evident as he showcased his ability to outpace her easily. The alicorn, unamused by his antics, rolled her eyes but responded by increasing her speed magically once again, intent on catching up to the speedy hedgehog.
"Hey, if you don't stop now, I will have to make you stop myself!"
Sonic was amused by her proclamation.
"You really think you can outrun moi? Stopping me? If you think you can stop the fastest thing alive, be my guest."
Sonic confidently assumed that his speed was unmatched, not afraid to challenge the alicorn princess.
Twilight attempted to take the lead by firing magical concussive blasts from her unicorn horn to impede Sonic's progress, but to her surprise, the hedgehog proved to be a more elusive target than expected. Even when he was seemingly distracted, Sonic flawlessly evaded each attack, jumping, ducking, or rolling out of harm's way with an effortless grace.
Defying gravity, Sonic launched himself upward, utilizing his Homing Attack to transform into a spiny ball and lunge towards Twilight. Initially caught off guard by the hedgehog's attacks from various directions, the usually composed alicorn princess struggled to maintain her composure. However, with a swift recovery, she mustered the focus to repel Sonic as he attacked her head-on in a direct frontal assault.
The land of Equestria transformed into a battlefield illuminated by flashes of light and detonations, as the pursuit unfolded. As Twilight unleashed another concussive blast, Sonic swiftly dodged the attack, but he didn't stop there. He raced around the alicorn in a dizzying whirlwind, moving with such speed that the air around her rapidly whirled, intensifying the velocity until a tornado formed, enveloping her at its center.
At first glance, it appeared that Twilight was utterly overwhelmed by the powerful tornado, as the whirlwind ripped trees from the ground and tossed boulders into the air effortlessly. However, through her unwavering magical ability, she was able to maintain control amid the chaos. With her force fields, teleportation spells, and potent magical blasts, the alicorn princess managed to maintain composure in the tumultuous storm.
In a display of agility and skill, Sonic effortlessly maneuvered through the whirlwind, nimbly leaping and somersaulting through the vortex of whirling debris. With surprising swiftness, he ascended to the pinnacle of the tornado, preparing to strike with an aerial kick. Keenly observing his approach, Twilight responded by casting a spell to reposition gravity, causing the surroundings to rotate by ninety degrees. This unexpected shift in orientation caused Sonic to plummet sideways, unprepared for the change, crying out as a flying boulder mercilessly collided with him.
Twilight swiftly restored the natural vertical orientation, observing with a hint of satisfaction as Sonic stumbled momentarily while regaining his balance, still slightly dazed from the impact with the boulder. Undeterred, the blue hedgehog began to charge up his speed using the figure-eight peel-out technique, ready to unleash his full velocity upon her. However, the confident alicorn cast a spell that not only halted the hedgehog's velocity but completely immobilized him, leaving him frozen in place, save for his darting eyes, which expressed genuine surprise at being halted so effortlessly.
"Not so cool without your speed, huh?"
Twilight teased, her confidence evident. However, she hadn't anticipated the unexpected turn of events. Sonic, with a focused expression, caused seven colorful jewels to materialized around him, empowering him with the legendary chaos emeralds. In a burst of energy, Sonic became Super Sonic, his blue fur transforming into a radiant golden hue. This transformation sent Twilight flying backwards, unprepared for the sudden burst of power.
"I'll show you something cool."
Super Sonic asserted, his smirk betraying a sense of determination. Prepared to demonstrate his full capabilities, he gathered chaotic energy around himself and unleashed a powerful attack. The blast of chaos energy streaked towards Twilight, who instinctively erected a force field to shield herself. Despite her best efforts, the alicorn princess found herself struggling to contain the overwhelming force of the blast, exerting every bit of her focus just to hold it at bay. The impact pushed her back, the sheer magnitude of the attack testing her defenses to their limit.
Desperately seeking an escape from the relentless blast, Twilight teleported to safety, but her momentary reprieve was short-lived. As she launched a powerful magical concussive blast aimed straight at Super Sonic's face, the speedster effortlessly pushed through the attack and seized hold of her, lifting her effortlessly into the air. In a dizzying whirlwind, he spun her around like a top, then released her mid-air, sending her, screaming, hurtling towards a distant mountain. The impact upon collision was marked by a small cloud of dust, indicating the force of her collision with the mountainside.
Luckily, Twilight managed to summon her magical powers just in time, forming a protective force field around herself, preventing any serious harm, though she was momentarily disoriented by the impact. Super Sonic, exuding arrogance, curled into a golden ball, building up speed. With a powerful spin dash, he lunged forward, striking the force field-protected princess with tremendous force. The impact was so intense that the surface of the mountain caved in, resulting in an eruption of rocks and rubble as the rest of the mountain shattered from the sheer power of his speed and strength.
Under mounting pressure, Twilight resorted to summoning a special tiara, channeling the power of her Element to magnify her magical prowess. Deftly teleporting out of the path of Super Sonic's spin dash attack, she rematerialized right above the hedgehog. Unleashing an amplified magical concussive blast, she propelling him straight down into the ground, cratering the landscape. Increasing the intensity of the blast, she continued to force him deeper into the planetary crust.
Despite the heightened potency of her magic, a brilliant golden flash pushed through the concussive blast, diverting it in multiple directions. Super Sonic, in a seamless maneuver, launched himself towards Twilight and delivered a powerful punch, sending her hurtling back. The impact made the alicorn princess involuntarily gasp, but she managed to halt her backward momentum with a few strong flaps of her wings, stabilizing herself in midair.
Recognizing the necessity for creative tactics, Twilight resorted to employing her less conventional spells. Desperately, she attempted to trap Super Sonic within a crystalline diamond tomb, but the hedgehog shattered it with effortless ease. Seeing him hurtle towards her, Twilight swiftly erected a barrier designed to negate magic cast by anyone other than herself. However, Super Sonic bulldozed through it without even a hint of hindrance, seemingly unaffected by the barrier's nullifying properties.
Just in the nick of time before Super Sonic could make contact, Twilight hastily cast a spell, opening a portal that promptly sucked the hedgehog in. However, the proximity of the newly formed portal's opening inadvertently pulled the alicorn princess herself into the strange realm with him. Startled exclamations of surprise escaped their lips as Sonic and Twilight were both unexpectedly transported to an unfamiliar location.
Emerging from the portal into a peculiar setting, Twilight found herself in a realm unfamiliar to her, but Sonic seemed to recognize it immediately. It was the Special Zone, a vibrant yet distorted dimension devoid of life except for the occasional visitor. Sonic's smirk conveyed a sense of confidence as he asserted,
"Looks like you've stepped into unfamiliar territory now. While it may not be precisely my home turf, I hold some familiarity with this place, unlike you, given your evident bewildered reaction to this location."
Twilight huffed as she retorted,
"This isn't exactly my first time venturing into an alternate dimension. If I can beat you here, I can beat you anywhere."
Seeing a Super Emerald past Twilight, Super Sonic smirked.
"Oh yeah? Well I bet you haven't seen this coming."
As the alicorn attempted to articulate a response, Super Sonic bolted past her and seized the gem for his own, glowing brilliantly and exhibiting a flash of rainbow colors in the process. Transforming once again, his azure fur returned, but this time, he was encircled by twin rings of energy and radiating dark sparks, signifying his ascent to Ultra Sonic, his ultimate state.
The situation left Twilight increasingly concerned. She sensed an unfathomable well of power within Ultra Sonic, a force that seemed limitless, potentially rivaling the combined strength of the Elements of Harmony themselves. Faced with the daunting prospect, the alicorn princess knew she would need to call upon even greater strength to stand a chance against him. Gathering her focus, she reached back to her home dimension, opening personal portals to her dearest friends. She cried out,
"Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie! I require the Magic of Friendship to help me now!"
As the magic of her closest connections mingled together, the transformation of Twilight Sparkle commenced. Her shimmering mane and tail elongated and gained distinctive golden stripes, accompanied by the appearance of magic marks near her hooves. Her wings expanded and transformed into a resplendent and vibrant array of feathers, marking the attainment of her Rainbow Power form. In perfect harmony with her magic, the alicorn princess ascended to a new level of power, the magic of friendships flowing through her very being.
With a powerful and determined gesture, Twilight raised her head, unleashing a column of scorching blue fire around Ultra Sonic. However, the impervious hedgehog effortlessly transmuted the flames into a ring of icy water encircling him. With a fluid spin, he sent the sharp icicles hurtling towards the alicorn princess. But with a swift and elegant maneuver, Twilight similarly transmuted the incoming ice projectiles into frozen oranges, each orange floating off in a different direction.
Ultra Sonic rushes forward with a spin dash, tackling her through one of the large spherical platforms, smashing through it with ease as he slings the equine princess around, beating her up with powerful punches and kicks. Grunting from the pain, she generates a massive blast that disintegrates several of these colorful, moon sized spheres, but the empowered hedgehog was only briefly stunned.
Sensing the limitations of his transformation rapidly nearing, Ultra Sonic realized that the extended effort to outmatch Twilight was beginning to drain his limited stamina, accelerating the depletion of his already finite reserves.
"Chaos Control!"
In a desperate gambit, he sought to deploy Chaos Control to outright wish for the alicorn princess's defeat. Generating a surge of chaos energy, he sought to impose his will over reality and destiny itself.
In a display of resilience, Twilight hastily set up the most powerful magic-nullifying barrier she could muster, straining against the force of the fate-altering blast with every fiber of her being. The alicorn gritted her teeth as the force field trembled and fissured from the overwhelming presence of reality-warping energy. With unwavering concentration, the princess fought to keep the barrier in place, refusing to surrender despite the immense pressure.
Despite the admirable resilience displayed by Twilight Sparkle and the power of her friends' camaraderie, even their combined strength was not enough to resist the overwhelming force of Chaos Control. With a frightened cry, the alicorn princess watched as her protective barrier shattered, and a blinding white light engulfed her. In the land of Equestria, she lay defeated and unconscious, while Sonic, having reverted from his ultra transformation, let out a contented sigh and wiped his brow. With a graceful flip of a ring, the hedgehog returned to his home dimension of Mobius to recuperate.
Strength: Overall, Sonic and Twilight were dead even in multiversal power, but Sonic possessed the greater power. Both Chaos Control and the Magic of Friendship, which is stated by Twilight to be stronger magic than even the Elements of Harmony, are capable of affecting an infinite number of universes, such as surpassing Princess Celestia, who can affect every dream, which contains a hallway of doors leading to infinite futures that could happen based on your actions, and is superior than StoryWorld that contains infinite fictional realities that are three-dimensional and have their own flow of time and universal laws. Similarly, Chaos Force can affect every dimension and every timeline, including infinite pocket dimensions and affecting dieties on the 7th dimension.
Speed: Both possess infinite speed, with Sonic transcending space-time, and Elements of Harmony level of power being able to affect all of reality.
Skill: Sonic may have more combat experience, but Twilight Sparkle has put in the countless hours of practice into her magic, meaning she's more well versed in her magic.
Experience: Twilight may be older and has more practice, but she tends to lose her cool to unexpected turns, unlike Sonic who just rolls with the punches.
Powers: Twilight has the superior magic element, pun intended, based on variety and and stamina. But even having the ability to reverse Discord's chaos magic won't do squat if she can't stop Sonic's higher dimensional tier power from overwhelming her.
The winner is Sonic the Hedgehog.
