Mission Twelve: Enter The Grid
Flashing back to 1999, the Grid Battle facility goes online and and a green laser is seen in the middle of the building. Scientists gather to collect information with their tablets and portable computers. One of the scientists uses a long telescope to view inside the laser. Suddenly, inside the laser he sees a flash of all the Rangers from across different dimensions from Mighty Morphin onwards. He then wakes up and removes the telescope.
Scientist 1: "So what did you see exactly?"
Scientist 2: "I don't know but we need to alert Omega Defense."
In the present, the Grid Battle facility has been upgraded and is placed alongside Omega Defense. Commander Leon heads out to the facility and meets with the scientists. He instructs one of them to report on any updates. The scientist named Sarah, wears a long white coat and has very thick glasses. She pulls up her tablet and shows the commander everything she found.
Sarah: "Sir, we have figured out that this is the Morphing Grid of the Rangers."
Commander Leon: "I see, then we must have accidentally tapped into their power."
Sarah: "Sir, I believe this was no accident. Let's be honest, they wanted us to create the powers so that we can stop this new virus. Look at these teams."
She then shows him video clips of every Ranger team from Mighty Morphin to Sky Raiders.
Sarah: "Sir, do you remember the Sky Raider team?"
Commander Leon: "Yes, I do. They arrived here so that we could help them defeat Shocker and the Armada. They were shocked to see that the city got bigger. Marvelous is the leader. He told me about how he arrived here 20 years ago."
Sarah: "Well, it seems there's Rangers across the multiverse and we gotta be careful. Any villain can arrive and steal the power."
Commander Leon: "Well, then we gotta be careful. I'll tell the Rangers to be aware of this."
Sarah: "Are you sure? This is all new to them."
Commander Leon: "They need to know. I will summon them immediately."
Leon summons all five Rangers for their debriefing. He stands in front of them and pulls out a remote where he turns on the screen behind him.
Commander Leon: "Rangers I want to tell you the truth about all this. About the other Rangers you met."
John: "What about it sir? We fought with them and of course they helped us defeat Shocker and the Armada. So what else do we need to know?"
Commander Leon: "You see, these Rangers come from other dimensions, except the Sky Raiders."
Andrew: "Okay, so you're telling us we aren't the only universe around."
Commander Leon: "Yes. And there's something you need to know about that."
Perry: "Is it bad? I mean is it bad that we know these Rangers?"
Commander Leon: "No, but we accidentally tapped in to the Morphing Grid which is where your powers and their powers come from. We have it protected at the Grid Battle facility."
Perry:"Is that why we have GB on our logos?"
Commander Leon: "Correct."
Perry: "Ah okay so basically you guys tapped into the power and it's kept inside Battle Grid and you didn't tell us?"
Commander Leon: "Yes, but now you know."
Both Oscar and Jake look confused as they have not spoken and are trying to come up with anything to say.
Oscar: "So are you aware that you put a big target on us all?"
Commander Leon: "Yes and that's why we have to protect the facility."
Jake: "Sir, we cannot allow anyone to tap into the Grid that isn't a Power Ranger. They will use the power to steal our powers and conquer the Earth."
Commander Leon: "Yes, so that's why I want you to see the other Ranger teams that have come before you."
Commander Leon shows them footage from previous Ranger teams including their battles. He shows them every clip from Mighty Morphin all the way to Sky Raiders. The Rangers are in disbelief as they learn from every success, failure and even death. The Rangers learn about the previous zords and how they worked.
John: "Sir, What the fuck? Why didn't you show any of this to us? You know this is a lot to take in."
Perry: "Yeah, this is quite a lot."
Andrew: "Seriously, there's a lot of teams that we never heard of until now. This is so much to deal with Commander."
Oscar: "Sir, what the hell are we supposed to do with this info?"
Jake: "Oscar it seems that my confusion continues to grow."
Commander Leon: "I know and that's why I will show you."
Commander takes the Rangers to Grid Battle and shows them the giant green laser in the middle of the facility. The Rangers stare in disbelief and get close to it.
Perry: "Sir, will this laser kill us?"
Commander Leon: "It shouldn't after all you are Rangers."
Andrew: "Let me touch it."
Andrew touches the laser and it does not injure him. But he instead envisions a giant crystal fortress where Zordon appears in his golden suit. He looks at Andrew and says "Andrew, if you are seeing this it means you have been chosen to be a Ranger. You must always be responsible for your powers. Never use them for offense."
Andrew takes his hand off and is confused.
Andrew: "Sir, I saw a giant crystal castle with some wizard dude named Zordon. I know because he told me telepathically."
Commander Leon: "Then that is the Zordon who arrived on the other Earth back in 1993. This is why we must be careful. We need to make sure that this Grid stays safe and away from evil."
John: "We'll keep it safe sir. As long as Enter and Escape don't find out."
The Rangers head back to base while inside the laser of the Morphing Grid, the Dino Charge Red Ranger looks from above and walks away.
