Chapter Ten:

The Tide Mice

One Year Ago: 2042

Cowardice was a defining characteristic of David. There was no doubt about it. Although he recognized this, he didn't mind at all. When faced with situations requiring him to step outside his comfort zone, he would turn away and leave. The only exceptions were when someone compelled him to act or if a friend requested his help.

This time was different. Despite his anxiety, he wanted to be on that stage and sing. Many other kids were auditioning for the musical, but he stood away from them. The majority of them would be in the background, part of the band, and not have so many eyes on them. He would be the center of attention. Nervously, he bit his nails.

"All right, David, go on up," said the Raven Leader. She was sitting on one of the chairs in front of the stage with some of the other kids who'd already had their turn. Behind the leader, Frida gave two thumbs up to her best friend. Despite the fact that it didn't ease his anxiety, this still gave him a sense of self-assurance.

Taking a deep breath, David turned to the stairs. He had to be confident if he really wanted this. Grabbing the left rail, he climbed the short stairs. The assistant (an adult woman with glasses) was waiting for him. She turned to her tablet sitting on the edge of the piano and tapped it. It turned on, and the manuscript appeared brightly on the screen.

Nearing the top, David shook his head. He assured himself that nothing bad was going to happen to him.

And then his foot slipped on the last step.

Like a klutz, he tumbled forward and ran face-first into a potted shrub. It spun him around as he hugged it. He shouldn't have let go, but he did. David was sent flying into the red curtains before falling.

He instinctively grabbed the currents and pulled them down with him. However, it didn't end there. There was a metallic snap, and the metal rode, holding up the currents and overhead stage lights.

By the time the chaos was over, David was on the ground floor, the assistant was unharmed by the current, and the stage looked a complete wreck. As soon as David saw it, his confidence was crushed.

Present: 2043

"And that's what happened last year when I tried to audition for the Warblers," David told Thomas and Hilda in the band room of the Sparrow Scouts' Hall. "I never even made it to the stage."

Thomas covered his mouth and tried to contain his laughter as he stood with Hilda and Frida. In addition to finding it ironic that David, who was so cautious and afraid of everything, caused so much trouble, the story was just too funny not to laugh at.

"Come on, it's not funny!" David complained.

"Well, it's kind of amusing," Hilda agreed, making things worse for the boy.

"Someone could have been hurt because of me!" David cried, burying his face in his hands.

"And that's why I percussion," Frida boasted, holding a musical triangle by its red string and striking it with a metal wand. Making it go ding.

David groaned and placed his hands on his eyes.

Hilda smiled at him as she walked up to him. "Hey, don't think about that," she said. "Just remember what happened, and don't let it happen."

"She's right," Frida said, trying to be as supportive as possible. "You're a great singer. You should be warming up your voices instead of worrying."

That made a smile appear on David's face. "That's a great idea," he said. Digging into his pocket, he pulled out a small whistle and tooted it. He cleared his throat and started singing:

"Do, re, mi

Fa, so, la, ti do"

When he was done, David looked at the others. Thomas stared at him in complete shock, and Hilda and Frida looked proudly at him. The boy became embarrassed when he saw how they were looking at him.

"What?"

"Dude, that's your singing voice?!" Thomas exclaimed with wide eyes before smiling a grin. "You're amazing!"

"Thank you," he said, nodding. "I really hope I make it in this year."

"I'm sure you'll make it," Hilda said with enthusiasm. "You've got nowhere to go but up this time."

"How can you be so sure?"

Thomas asked, "Well, you're already at the bottom. There's no way you can go any lower."

The door opened, and the Raven Leader stepped into the room. "David, you're up," she said, beckoning him to come along.

David realized Thomas was right. There was only one way to go: up. He had to climb back up to the top. Passing the Raven Leader, he took a deep breath as he marched out of the room.

"Take your time," she said, more as advice than encouragement. "Mind your step, please."

Thomas, Hilda, and Frida joined the Raven Leader in the stands, sitting in the chairs they used for meetings. As they settled in, they watched David take out his phone. The assistant picked up her tablet, tapped it against the phone, and transferred the file of David's song onto her device. Judging by the nervous expression on her face, Thomas saw that she clearly recalled what had happened last time. Nevertheless, she opened the manuscript on her tablet and placed it on the piano.

With great caution, David seized the stair railing in a death grip. Taking one careful step after another, he climbed the stairs. The more he ascended, the more his mind replayed the events of that terrible day. On the final step, he ensured he lifted his leg higher. He had finally reached the top without incident.

With a smirk and a raised eyebrow, David circled the potted shrub.

"He cleared the potted plant," Frida said with amazement.

"Now all he has to do is sing, and he's in," said Hilda.

David stood in the middle of the stage and exhaled. He was ready to sing.

And then a fly landed on his nose.

Thomas got worried. "Oh no," he said. He could already see what was going to happen, and prayed that it didn't. Unable to do anything else, he could only watch as the piano played, and David swatted the fly away. The damn thing wouldn't go away, no matter how much his daughter's friend tried hitting it.

Finally, it flew behind his head. The bug out of his way, David waited for his cue and inhaled…

…only for the fly to get sucked into his mouth.

Instantly, he choked and started coughing horribly. Gagging on the fly as he started backing up. "AH! It's in my mouth—"

David stumbled over a set of instruments. The Raven Leader sighed. "Oh, David."

Thomas drove the kids home in his new truck. With the generous earnings he made in his paranormal work, he was able to afford the latest solar vehicles, invented by McGucket Industries. One of the first to be seen in Trolberg, while most of the inhabitants were still using gas vehicles. Since his aunt was the head of the Northwest and one of the richest people in the world, he could have afforded it without tapping into his account. However, while his Aunt Pacifica would have been more than happy to lend him the money, Thomas would rather pay for it himself. He'd settled for a solar-powered truck, which was more powerful and more reliable for him.

"Well…that wasn't the worst disaster I've seen on stage," he said, trying to cheer up the young boy. Hilda sat in the front with him, while David and Frida were in the back.

"He's right," said the girl next to David. "The way I see it, this was your best audition yet. You made it all the way onto the stage."

"And yet, I still managed to humiliate myself," murmured David. He burped out the fly, and it flew around the truck. Thomas saw the insect and opened a window, allowing it to fly out.

"Don't worry, David," Hilda said, looking behind to smile at her friend. "You'll make it. There are still three days until the auditions are over. You should go again."

"I agree," said Frida. "Remember the old saying, 'If at first you don't succeed…'"

"'...try to pretend it never happened'," David finished, making the others in the truck laugh.

Upon entering their apartment, Thomas and Hilda were greeted by the family pet, Twig, who barked excitedly as he ran toward them. "Hey, boy," the blue-haired girl said, picking up her best friend and hugging him, chuckling as he licked her. "I missed you, too."

Thomas smiled and scratched the little deer fox's head. "Johanna, we're home," he announced to his girlfriend, who was also Hilda's mother. It's only been a few weeks since he decided to move in with the Lindquists, and he couldn't have been happier. To have a bond with the woman he loved and her daughter was one thing, but to have the same place to live and sleep in was another. It was like they were becoming a complete family.

However, Johanna wasn't home. So many times, he and Hilda would have found her at her work desk, working on the next graphic design. But circumstances had changed for the mother.

Twig started to whine, prompting Hilda to ask him, "Are you feeling lonely without Mum sitting there drawing all day?"

Thomas sighed with sadness and petted the animal. It hadn't been a fruitful two weeks for Johanna. Unlike Thomas, who had no shortage of work dealing with the supernatural, the MILF hadn't been so fortunate. She had not received many commissions for her graphic designs, and this has been affecting her. Her artwork was her primary source of income, meaning that if she couldn't find another way to make money, she wouldn't be able to afford her rent. Thomas wanted to help her, but unfortunately, Johanna didn't want to burden him. No matter how much he insisted it was okay, she was determined to earn her income on her own.

So, she had to find a job.

"Come on, let's go see her," he said, smiling. Grabbing Hilda's hand while she held Twig in one hand, Thomas led her to the door. "Let's go see how she's holding up."

When Johanna started her new job, it was a tough adjustment. She became a graphic designer to stay home with her daughter, and it had been a good gig over the years, especially while living in a remote area. It allowed her imagination to run wild, and her skills were among the best. However, being a graphic designer also meant struggling to pay the bills and put food on the table, particularly when no one was hiring her services.

Johanna didn't want to leave her home. She disliked leaving Twig all alone without Hilda and Thomas there with him. However, she had no choice. Johanna needed the money and didn't want to ask her boyfriend for a loan. Thomas wouldn't have minded, and she loved that he was so willing to help her. Still, he had his bills to pay, and she didn't want to be a burden to him. So, she will continue stacking the boxes.

It wasn't as if she were sneaking out; Thomas and Hilda were aware of her whereabouts in case they needed her.

"Mum!"

Speaking of which, Johanna glanced to her left and saw Hilda and Twig running toward her. "Hilda," the mother said, hugging her tightly as their deer fox jumped onto her leg.

This was why she worked and placed her graphic design career on hold. Her sacrifice was for Hilda. However, unlike in the past, she wasn't alone in being the adventurous girl's parent. Just as he was there to be the father Hilda needed, Thomas was also there to make Johanna's life more exciting and filled with love.

He approached his mother, smiled at his older lover, and kissed her on the lips. "Hey, beautiful," he said with all the charm she adored.

"Hey, handsome," Johanna replied, setting Hilda down. "What brings you two here? Did the manager see a ghost?"

"I wish," Thomas said, smirking. "We just got back from auditions, and Twig was feeling very lonely."

"Oh, I'm so sorry, boy," Johanna said remorsefully, petting the little creature. "So, how did it go? Am I going to see you on stage with the Warblers?"

"I think I did okay," said Hilda.

"I think she did great," Thomas said, making Hilda giggle.

"Yeah," she said before looking down with a worried expression. "But David, he got onto the stage, and then he—"

"Excuse me?" A woman walked over and asked, "But do you have any troll-repellent?"

"Camping gear, aisle 2," Johanna said, pointing. The woman walked away. " So, now, what happened with David?"

Thomas would have answered if another customer hadn't rushed over and asked, "Um, uh, do you work here, miss?"

"Yes. How may I help you?" asked Johanna with a customer service smile.

"Uh, well, giant creatures are stalking Trolberg, which comes out at dark."

"Oh? Is that right?" Thomas asked, smiling. "Well, if you like, I'm willing to offer my services to you, sir. I am a paranormal investigator."

"Oh, thank you, sir, but I'd rather do it myself," the man said, looking at Thomas with some unease.

Thomas, Johanna, and Hilda looked at the man in worried confusion. "Are you sure?" the girl asked. "You said it was giant."

"No problem; all I need is a flashlight," the man said, clearly unwilling and uncomfortable with paying for the Pines man's services.

Thomas wanted to protest, but Johanna placed a hand on his chest and pointed in the direction he needed. "You'll find them in Aisle 13," she said. The man nodded in response and walked away.

"You know I could have helped him," Thomas said.

"I know, but people…well, they don't really know what to make of you," Johanna said, rubbing her arm with an uncomfortable expression. "Every time they see news about your actions, most people become distrustful. Many of them think that you're…well, a bit crazy."

"What do you mean?" Thomas asked.

"Well, remember Frida's mother, Rachel," Johanna asked, wanting to break it to her beloved boyfriend gently. "Most people hear that you're a paranormal investigator, and they see this increase in strange activity, and they assume that you cause it."

That made Thomas look down. "Oh…"

Seeing how down he was, Hilda hugged his leg, and Johanna immediately regretted her words. "Oh, no! I didn't mean it like I believe it," she said apologetically. "Not everyone believes it…"

The conversation was interrupted when another man rushed over, skidded past the aisle they were in, and looked at Johanna. He was out of breath but said, "There's a spill in aisle 7. It's sticky, and it's spreading. That's all I know." He stepped back and departed, leaving Johanna to handle the mess, much to her annoyance

Thomas, offering some comfort, kissed her cheek. "I know you don't believe what they say," he said, making her smile and blush. "Additionally, I don't think that spill should be left unattended."

"Right," Johanna sighed. "I'll get the mop." She then looked down at Hilda and smiled apologetically. "Sorry, it's so busy here. There's only an hour until closing time. Why don't you and Thomas go over to the library until then?"

Hilda smiled. "Okay."

"Hello?" a woman rudely exclaimed. "But does anyone work here?"

"I'll be right there," Johanna said. This was going to be a long hour.

Together, Thomas, Hilda, and Twig entered the library. "So, what do you want to explore first?" the blue-haired girl asked.

"Well, I'm worried about that creature roaming around outside of Trolberg and want to see if I can do something about it," Thomas said, pulling out his journal. "From what we know, it's large and nocturnal. So we just need to find out what it is and how to drive it away."

"Any idea what it could be?" Hilda asked, curious as to what it was, too.

"No clue, but hopefully someone hires to take care of it before it hurts someone," he said.

"Got any idea on where to look?"

"No, but I've got a feeling someone does," Thomas said, looking around for the Librarian, Kaisa.

They discovered the Librarian on a ladder in one of the aisles, reshelving books from a nearby cart. Thomas, Hilda, and Twig approached her, and the blue-haired girl looked at her curiously, wondering who she was.

"Hi, Kaisa," he greeted her. Getting her attention as she smiled down at him.

"Ah, Thomas. I see you've brought your little friend," she said, looking at Hilda.

Thomas stood to the side and gestured to both of them. "Hilda, this is Kaisa, the librarian. Kaisa, this is Hilda, my friend and adventuring partner," he said with a proud smile.

"Hello," Hilda greeted Kaisa with a smile. "It's nice to meet you."

"And you too, little one," the witch said, smiling back at her. "So, what can I do for you?"

"We're looking for anything that can help us understand what has been stalling the town at night," Thomas said, crossing his arms with a serious expression. "I was wondering if you could allow us access to your special room."

Hearing them, Kaisa slid down from her ladder and gazed at the Pines with a serious expression of her own. "And you believe that you'll find anything that will help you with your monster?"

"Well, all we know is that it's nocturnal, and it's big, which sounds like a wyvern," Thomas said, explaining what he understood about the creature. "However, since it hasn't attacked anymore, it's more likely a Giant Vampire Bat."

Hilda gulped and shivered upon hearing her best friend's comment. "Um, that sounds like something that eats people," Hilda said nervously, while Thomas and Kaisa stared at her in confusion. "You know, vampire is in the name."

"Vampire means bloodsucker, Hilda," Thomas said, eliciting a deadpan look from her. He then turned back to Kaisa. "I want to see if this town has had any problems with Giant Vampire Bats before and if they're the same as the ones in America."

Kaisa looked at him with an impressed smirk. "I see now why you're the best PI. All right, you can use the secret room. But remember, reference only," she said, getting into Thomas's face and pointing at him. "No taking anything."

She turned and walked away, guiding the two adventurers to the room. They exchanged glances, aware of her intensity, particularly regarding her books.

Once Kaisa unlocked the secret door, she left them to attend to her other duties. Thomas then led Hilda down into the hidden room, and the young girl was utterly amazed by what she saw. It felt like stepping into a forbidden part of the library, igniting her adventurous spirit.

"So, this is where they keep all the good stuff," Hilda said, already gazing at one of the shelves.

"You can say that," Thomas said, sliding his finger over some of the book spines, trying to find the right one that would help him with his investigation.

But while Thomas focused on the possibly dangerous monster roaming outside of Trolberg, Hilda had something else on her mind: David. Her friend was eager to try out for the Warblers, and he was truly talented. Unfortunately, his luck was just terrible. Hilda wanted to help him so much, but she didn't know how. As she looked around the books, Hilda was convinced there was a magical solution.

And she found one when she pulled out a book. "How to Aid and Keep Thy Friends Forever, huh?" Liking what she read, Hilda took it over to the table with Twig following her.

When she opened the book, a cloud of dust engulfed her and her pet, making them both cough.

"I suppose no one has opened this one in a while, huh?" she said, walking over to the chair and sitting down. Twig jumped up onto the armrest and peered into the book alongside her. "'You can solve a variety of vexing problems for your friends with these spells and charms.'That sounds helpful. Let's see…"

While she examined the book, Thomas pulled another off the shelf. Titled They Fly in the Night: A Documented Guide for Nocturnal Flying Creatures in Trolberg. He smiled, knowing he had found what he was looking for. Opening the book, the PI began to scan through it. He would definitely need to return and take notes from this book. However, knowing it was here whenever he needed it was more than enough.

Especially when he discovered Giant Vampire Bats in the first few pages. "Let's see," Thomas said, leaning against the shelf as he read through the page. "10-foot wingspan…drink the blood of cows or sheep, but will go for humans when the opportunity presents itself…"

"Thomas! Take a look!" Hilda suddenly yelled, rushing over to him, her excitement evident about what she had discovered.

"What's up?" Thomas asked, closing the book he was reading and returning it to the shelf.

"Look at this," she said, presenting the open book to him.

Thomas took it, examining it closely while wondering what could have excited her so much. "How to ensure a friend's success in a chosen endeavor... is this a spell?" he asked, looking at Hilda with confusion.

"Yeah! One that will bring David good luck with whatever he wants to do. Maybe I should try this one on David, just to help him get through his next Warblers audition," Hilda said with a hopeful smile. "I know it's a long shot, and you can't believe everything you read in a library. There are a lot of instructions, but…"

"No way!" Thomas said, handing the book back while crossing his arms and looking at the girl with a stern frown.

"Huh?!"

"Listen, Hilda, I understand your intentions, and I'm certain David would have appreciated them, but trust me, you really don't want to tamper with these types of enchantments."

"But why?" Hilda asked, upset that Thomas wouldn't let her help David. "It will benefit David."

"It's all fun and games until that good fortune comes at a cost," Thomas said. "I've seen these spells before, and they never end well."

"What do you mean?"

"You know a thing or two because you've seen a thing or two," Thomas said to her. Seeing that she still wasn't understanding, he knelt and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Please just trust me on this, okay?"

For a moment, Hilda looked away, seeming to consider his warning before nodding. "Okay."

"Good, now let's get going," Thomas said, smiling as he stood up. "Now, put that book back, and let's wait for Johanna."

Hilda observed the paranormal investigator as he circled her and ascended the stairs. When he exited from the hidden room, she moved toward the table and placed the book on it. She then took out her smartphone and opened the photo app.

Seeing this, Twig whimpered a little. "Don't worry, Twig. I'm sure there's no drawback," she said. "Maybe this spell wouldn't be horrible.

Twig, uncertain, raised his eyebrow.

Hilda took a picture of the page. As the page loaded onto her screen, however, she experienced a strange reaction. Green magic bubbled and bulged from the screen. Hilda yelped and dropped the phone just before the magic burst forth.

The phone hit the table and returned to normal.

Hilda emerged from her hiding spot and looked at the phone. It didn't seem broken, and it was still running brand new. She saw that the photo had been taken.

"All right, boy. Let's see what it says," Hilda said, taking her phone and placing the book back on the shelf. She then began walking up the stairs with Twig while reading the instructions on her phone. "'This enchantment is easily performed by the inexperienced novice.' That's me! 'It requires nothing but an enchanted tide mouse,' whatever that means."

Step One: Acquire enough of your friend's hair to fashion a small net.

That was easy for Hilda to acquire. In fact, she completed all of the instructions the next day.

Sitting behind David, she took a pair of safety scissors and cut off a small amount of hair from the back of his head.

"Step Two: Acquire an item belonging to your friend that symbolizes the undertaking in question."

Luckily for Hilda, David was eager to hang out with her. He invited her to his house to show her his comic book collection.

Together, they sat in his room, with David in his chair and Hilda on his beanbag. She had to admit, he owned many great comics.

David set down the notebook he had been writing in and stood up. "I'll get us a snack," he said, leaving the room.

"Ensure that it is sized to fit into the aforementioned net of hair."

Hilda tiptoed over to David's desk. She opened the bottom drawer and pulled out her best friend's whistle. "Perfect!"

"I've got cookies!" David exclaimed as he walked back inside. Hilda swiftly turned to him and hid the whistle behind her back.

"Step Three: Go to a tide pool," Hilda said, looking up from her phone at the area she had found. It took a while for the blue-haired girl to locate one, but after walking along the shores of the Gulf of Björgfjord, she was able to find a shallow pool of seawater that formed on the rocky intertidal zone shore.

The wind flowed through her hair as Hilda gazed at the tide pool, and she felt a shiver run up her body from the cold air.

Hilda approached the tide pool and checked her phone. "Place the hair with the item at the edge," she read from the page. She set her phone down and took out the necessary items. First, she laid the net of hair down and placed the whistle on top of it.

"Chant these words out loud with vigor," Hilda recited from the page's photo. Clearing her throat, she began.

"Huxar fi constuffia, Huxar hasla hagot schluvina!"

Her voice echoed around her and Twig, as the little creature whimpered in fear when dark clouds rolled in, bloating the sky until it completely covered them.

When it was finally over, the sky cleared, and Hilda opened her eyes. Looking down, she saw that the items were still sitting on the edge of the tide pool. All she noticed was the wind flickering through her hair.

"Okay, well, we did everything it said to do," Hilda said to Twig, who was hiding behind a large rock with his head poking out. "Now, we're supposed to leave it be until the light of dawn."

With nothing left to do, Hilda and Twig walked home together.

The next morning arrived, the sun shining into Hilda's bedroom as she slept with Twig under the covers. When the light touched her eyes, Hilda's eyelids fluttered open. Sighing, she sat up. A smile instantly formed on her lips when she recalled the enchantment.

"Come on, boy!" Hilda said, waking her pet with a gentle pat on his head. "Let's go see if we've got a tide mouse."

A few minutes later, Hilda was dressed casually and running out of her room with Twig scampering behind her. Thomas was already up with Johanna, who was preparing for her day at work.

"Hey, Hilda! What's the rush? It's the weekend," the man dating her mother asked.

"I know, but I want to get to David's early to support," Hilda replied, dashing out of the apartment with her deer fox, leaving Thomas and Johanna in confusion.

Running to the same tide pool she used yesterday for the enchantment, the blue-haired girl looked into the water. At first, she saw nothing while Twig sniffed around. Her offering was gone; something had taken it. But she didn't see any mouse.

"Oh well, that was a fun thing to try," she said to Twig, "but I'm not surprised it didn't work. Let's go."

She turned around and started to walk away, only to be startled by the water suddenly bubbling behind her. Twig whined in fright and ran behind his best friend. Hilda turned around and was just as shocked by the water's reaction.

She watched as the net of hair and David's whistle surfaced. It moved around before drifting to the edge of the pool, towards Hilda.

Twig jumped in front of Hilda and growled at the offerings. "Hold on, Twig," the girl said as she got on her knees, trying to see if the hair or whistle would move again

Seeing that it wasn't going to move again, Hilda cautiously picked it up out of the water.

At first, there was nothing. But then she felt something in her hand. Thinking it was caught in her hair or whistle, Hilda removed them and gasped at the sight of a small, oval-shaped brown mouse with round brown ears and a long, pink-striped tail.

"Hello," she said, waking the tiny mouse. It opened its eyes, revealing glowing white irises bordered by a purple outline. The little mouse looked up at her as she smiled at it. "If you're not an enchanted tide mouse, then I don't know what is."

The mouse emitted a melodic sound, further encouraging Hilda to approach it. Not exactly singing a song, it let out a cry that resembled a melody. Believing that nothing this cute could cause any trouble, as Thomas feared, the blue-haired girl took the mouse with her.

"Okay, we've made it to the last step," Hilda said as she and Twig approached David's apartment. The tide mouse sat in her hand while she read from her phone. "'Deliver the enchanted tide mouse to your friend.'"

The tide mouse sang again in her grip.

Hilda glanced at her phone once more. "'Due to the power of the enchantment, the tide mouse shall remain unseen to all but the enchanter,'" she said, putting her phone back in her pocket. "Seems like a stretch, doesn't it?"

Together, the girl and the deer fox entered the apartment and climbed the stairs. They reached the door of David's apartment, which was 23. After ringing the doorbell, Hilda stepped back. A very tired David then opened the door.

"You're up early," he said, yawning.

That was when the tide mouse became active again. It saw David when he wasn't looking and jumped at him, surprising Hilda. She gasped and grew worried when it landed on her best friend's head and nestled in his hair.

David didn't even notice as he yawned again and scratched himself. "What," he asked, "Do I already have a bug on my head? No, no bug."

He scratched the sides of his head but didn't reach the mouse.

"No, no bug!" Hilda quickly said, concerned about how he'd react to having a mouse in his hair instead of a bug. "You're totally fine."

"Phew!" David said in relief before waving her inside. "Want some breakfast?"

Hilda, noticing that her plan was working, happily followed her friend into his apartment, closing the door behind her.

"You know, I've been thinking about giving The Warblers one more try," said David, as he opened his refrigerator. He took out a loaf of bread and some jelly. "Sure, I've had two disastrous auditions, but the third time's a charm, right?"

Hilda looked at her pet and rubbed between his horns. She proceeded with the enchantment, but there were still concerns she had. For all she knew, Thomas could be right, and this might have been a bad idea. It could have all been a trick, and she could have inadvertently given David the worst luck possible. It was too late to turn back, however, and her friend needed her support.

"Right!"

As she had done last time, the assistant took her tablet and tapped it against David's phone, successfully transferring the song, which then appeared on her screen.

Meanwhile, Thomas sat down next to Hilda and Frida. "Hey, did I miss anything?" he asked.

"No, he's about to begin," Frida said just as the piano started playing. They all turned to the stage and watched as David stood in front of them.

Then, with nothing to stop him, he began singing.

"You can always count on a Sparrow."

"A Sparrow flies straight as an arrow. "

That was it. That was the whole song. It wasn't as long as Thomas thought it would, with the redhead sitting back with his arms crossed. However, even he had to admit it was great. He was impressed, just like the assistant and the Raven Leader.

Finished, David waited with anticipation. He didn't have to wait too long when the Raven Leader spoke.

"Well, David, that was surprisingly… wonderful! Welcome to The Warblers," she said, surprising David and exciting his friends. "See you tomorrow for our first rehearsal."

"Really? Wow! Okay, see you then!" David exclaimed with a big grin as he walked off the stage.

Thomas and Hilda gave him a thumbs-up, and David returned the gesture with a double thumbs-up, still unaware of the tide mouse now hiding in his pocket.

When Thomas, Hilda, and Twig returned home, they were welcomed by Johanna, who was standing at the table with a steaming pot of tea ready. On the table was a board game called Dragon Panic, which was like Katan, but with dragons.

Johanna smiled upon seeing her family. "Thomas, Hilda!"

"Hey!" Thomas exclaimed, walking over to give her a big kiss, which she returned warmly. "What're you doing here?"

"I got off early from work today," Johanna said, blushing as she pulled away and poured tea for all three of them. "I thought we could enjoy tea and play a game of Dragon Panic, if that sounds good to you."

"Definitely!" Hilda replied as she and Thomas took a seat at the table with their mom. "We haven't played it at all since we moved."

"I know, and I'm sorry," Johanna said, glancing at her daughter with a guilty smile. "Things have been a bit hectic, with starting a new job while continuing my career. But, I'm glad we can finally relax and enjoy some quality time together." She placed the teapot back on the table and sat down with them.

"But at least the job's going okay, right?" Thomas asked, placing a hand on his girlfriend.

Johanna sighed and tried to smile. "Yeah, it's…okay," she replied. "Now, let's get this game started!" She then picked up a new scorecard. "Here, I made us a new scorecard."

Thomas took it and turned it over, surprised to find red doodles on the back. "Your doodles are the best, Johanna," he said to his loving girlfriend, smiling at just how talented she was.

"Thanks, love! I can't help myself," Johanna said, looking at her teacup.

"I miss seeing you at your drawing table," Hilda said, gazing sadly at her amazing mom.

"I do too," Johanna replied, taking the dice from the table. She rolled them and moved her piece. "I just haven't been able to find any design work in Trolberg, so it's the hardware store for now. But my luck will change soon…I hope."

"It will, Johanna," Thomas reassured her, placing a hand on her shoulder. "And if it doesn't, well…" he paused for a moment, wondering if his idea was even worth mentioning.

"What?" Johanna asked.

"Oh, nothing," Thomas said, rubbing the back of his head. "Hilda, it's your turn."

Hilda took the dice and began shaking them. "Thomas is right; I'm sure of it," she stated, already knowing what she should do.

Thomas was indeed correct about the Giant Vampire Bats—or, to be more specific, Giant Fruit Bats. Just like in Gravity Falls, they aren't dangerous unless provoked. Normally, they would remain in their territory, feeding on the local fruits in the mountains. However, due to the rise in pumpkin growth in Trolberg, some have been drawn to the city.

"So, are you saying there's no danger?" asked the mayor on the phone, who had hired the paranormal investigator to learn about the creatures. "People are scared, Mr. Pines. How can they feel so certain?"

"Just tell them to cover their pumpkins," Thomas said, sitting on the couch in his apartment. His tablet and journal were on the table. Johanna was at work, and Hilda was at school. "They wouldn't attack unless spooked. Once they see that there are no more pumpkins, they'll go back to the mountains."

"Alright, I trust you, Pines. Thank you. I'm transferring the money now."

Thomas opened the money app on his tablet and noticed the new deposit. It was sufficient to last a considerable time—at least three months. "Alright, I've got it," Thomas said. "If there's any more trouble, you've got my number." He ended the call and stood up, stretching his arms over his head.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

Curious who could be at his door, Thomas walked over to it. Opening the door, he was surprised to see his older girlfriend on the other side. "Hey," he said, only for Johanna to jump onto him, wrap her arms around him, and mash her lips on him. "Mmmmh!"

Thomas's back hit the wall behind him as he quickly grabbed Johanna, pulling her closer while they kissed heatedly and passionately. They shared all the love and passion they felt for each other as air became secondary. Their hands explored one another's bodies as their kisses deepened, igniting an intense desire between them. The world around them faded, leaving only the heat of their connection and the urgency of their embrace.

The passionate kiss continued until the need for air forced them to pull apart. "Whoa! That was awesome. Unexpected, but wow!" Thomas exclaimed, catching his breath, as a strand of saliva connected them.

Johanna giggled as she stepped back and wiped her mouth. "Sorry, sorry, I just... I'm so happy to be home. I need a drink," she said, walking away from Thomas and sitting on the couch. "Do you have any wine?"

"Yeah, but what's going on?" Thomas asked, closing the door and walking over to the cabinet. There, he retrieved the bottle of wine he had. After grabbing two glasses, he brought them to the living room. "Did you just skip work or something?"

"No, no! Thank God, it's not like that," Johanna said with a giggle as Thomas set the bottle and glasses on the table. "I just quit my job!"

"What?!" Thomas exclaimed in alarm. He grasped her shoulder, his expression filled with concern. "Johanna, what happened? Did someone hurt you at work? Just point them out, and I'll unleash the wrath of a hundred lumberjacks on that bastard!"

Johanna burst into laughter at his reaction. "Relax, Thomas! No one has hurt me," the MILF said, kissing his lips for comfort. As she continued, she became more excited. "I was on my way to work when I received a call. Thomas, you're never going to believe this. The Trolberg Bellmakers Corporation has hired me as a graphic designer for their citywide ad campaign!"

"What?" Thomas exclaimed again, this time out of shock and excitement. "Johanna, that's awesome! So, no more hardware store?"

"Nope," she said, smiling at him before he kissed her again. "I'm free!"

"This calls for a celebration!" Thomas declared. And so it was. He popped the cork on the wine bottle and poured a glass for himself and Johanna. "So, don't keep me in suspense. Tell me about it. It must be significant if you quit your job."

"Oh, this job is huge," Johanna said, spreading her arms to emphasize her point. Thomas handed her the glass, and she took a swig. "Ah! They're launching an entirely new line of personal-use bells. Jingle bells, sleigh bells, bicycle bells, dinner bells, doorbells, cowbells; you name it. This is truly a dream come true, and it seemed to come out of nowhere."

"That's incredible, Johanna," Thomas said, taking a sip. He raised his glass. "To your success!"

The two of them clinked glasses as Johanna giggled. As she drank down the remainder of her drink, she said, "We ain't celebrating like this."

"You've got an idea?" Thomas asked, smirking as she looped her arms around his neck.

She leaned into his ear. "I'm thinking we should take this party somewhere else," she whispered, her breath tickling his ear. "Somewhere more private." Johanna pulled back, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "What do you say?"

Thomas grinned and answered by brushing his hands down her back and grabbing onto her luscious ass cheeks. Picking her up and holding her off the ground, as Johanna wrapped her legs around him.

"I still need to take a shower," he said suggestively, groping her soft, fleshy rump. Johanna gasped when he did this, shivering with a lustful grin forming on her face. "Care to join me?"

"Oooooooh," Johanna moaned as her neck was peppered with kisses. The pleasure made her tighten her hold on her young lover. "You've become more perverted since we started dating."

Thomas paused his kisses on her neck and asked, "I'm not hearing a no."

"And you'll never hear it from me," Johanna moaned as Thomas escorted her away, their lips meeting in a passionate kiss. With each step, their excitement heightened, their bodies pressing closer together. As they left the living room, the world melted away, leaving only the two of them in their private paradise.

The MILF moaned and writhed against him as Thomas made off with her. Johanna could feel her pussy quivering at the pleasure that was going to be coming her way, making her wet.

Good Lord, she had become addicted to Thomas treating her as his woman.

They made it to the bathroom, with Thomas turning the door handle with his hand. He then kicked the door open, and Thomas carried her to the bedroom, his strong arms holding her tightly. Johanna's anticipation grew with every step, her body tingling with desire. As they entered, he placed her down gently, his eyes locked on hers, promising to deliver intense pleasure and satisfaction.

The couple quickly got undressed. With their hormones stirred up inside them, pulling everything off their bodies seemed to last forever. Soon, Thomas was stripping off his boxes to free his enlarged cock and Johanna freed her breasts and soaking pussy.

Naked, Thomas stepped around Johanna, making her tremble when he teased her. His middle finger reaching down and brushing up against her pussy's lips. His fingers explored her, igniting a fire within her. She moaned softly, surrendering to the pleasure he provided, as their connection deepened with every passing moment.

"Ooooooooh," Johanna moaned, biting her lip. Thomas continued to tease her, his touch sending shivers down her spine. Johanna arched her back, craving more of his attention. "Naughty boy~."

"All for my MILF girlfriend," said Thomas as he turned on the hot water. He then pulled the curtain back and stepped into the shower. His cock was jumping with excitement.

He closed his eyes as the warm water cascaded over his body, washing away the stress of the day. Thomas's mind drifted to thoughts of Johanna, imagining the steamy encounter they would soon share. His heart raced with anticipation, intensifying his desire even further.

As Thomas soaked himself, he glanced back at Johanna, who displayed her perfect body with a smirk.

Thomas stepped aside as Johanna entered the shower, drawing the curtain closed. They gazed into each other's eyes, the young man taller than the older woman. All her curves, her large breasts, hips, and ass. He wanted nothing more than to grab all of it.

Thomas was on her in an instant. He leaned in, their lips meeting in a passionate, heated kiss as the water continued to cascade over them. His hands eagerly roamed her body, tracing every curve with a blend of desire and urgency. Johanna's soft moans ignited his excitement, their connection deepening with each touch.

The MILF clung onto the man she loved as tight as possible, moaning wistfully as they fused their lips and tongues. Wrestling for dominance as they savored each other's mouths in lustful heat. Their bodies pressed tightly together as the water cascaded around them, heightening their senses. Thomas's touch grew bolder, his hands exploring every inch of her with a hunger that matched her own. Johanna's moans grew louder, her nails digging into his back as their passion reached its peak.

"Mmmmmmm! Mmmmmh!" Johanna moaned. The thought of what she had become in her love for Thomas made her blush deeply. She couldn't believe how deeply she had fallen for him and how much she had changed for love. Her heart raced as she thought of their shared moments and the way he made her feel so alive.

How long had it been since she last kissed a man or even since she had had sex? She couldn't remember. It's been at least 11 years, maybe even longer. All she knew was that Thomas had awakened something in her that she hadn't felt in a very long time. Kissing Thomas was like reliving her first kiss all over again. His touch, his words, his presence—everything about him made her feel desired and cherished.

So when she fell in love with Thomas, all of Johanna's reservations went out the window. She had never imagined she could feel this way again. Thomas had rekindled a passion within her that she thought was long gone. With him, she felt like a new person, ready to embrace love and all its possibilities. She didn't care that her partner was about 10 years younger than her. What mattered most was that there was a young, fit, and handsome man who was in love with her. He loved Johanna and wanted her as much as she loved and wanted him.

And it was that love for each other that fueled the heat of their desires. Making them moan loudly into each other's mouths. At the same time, Thomas pressed Johanna up against the wall, sandwiching her between it and himself.

He then grabbed a leg and lifted it, prompting the MILF to wrap it around his waist. "Mmmmmmh! Mmm! Mm—Aaaah!" Johanna gasped as they pulled away from each other's lips. Her arousal rose more and more as Thomas proceeded to plant deep kisses on her neck. "Aaaahhh! More…Thomas, more~."

As the water ran down her head, Thomas gave her neck a long lick from her shoulder to her jawline. "I want more of you, too, Johanna," he said. The steam from the shower enveloped them, heightening their senses. Thomas's desire for her was evident as he pressed himself even closer, his breath hot against her skin, his giant cock against the MILF.

He continued to lick her neck, his hands exploring her body. Johanna moaned with pleasure as Thomas's touch sent shivers down her spine.

Johanna didn't know if the heat she was feeling was from the water or Thomas, but it was driving her crazy. Thomas' tongue was magical, and Johanna moaned to the heavens above.

"Ahhhh!" the MILF moaned louder when she felt his teeth pressing against her soft skin.

And then were was his cock. That glorious cock made Johanna shiver as her lover rubbing himself up against her, stroking it across her pussy. Making her shiver from the contact, knowing that once it went inside, it wouldn't come out until she drained it. She wanted him inside her, filling her up completely.

"Oooooooh, my darling love!" Johanna moaned loudly, arching her back and pressing herself against him, thankful that no one was home to hear them. Her nails scratched his back, making Thomas moan in response. "You…have—AH—You really know what makes me go crazy, don't you?"

Thomas suckled on her neck before pulling away. "I know every inch of you, and I love it all," he whispered, his voice low and teasing. His words lingered in the air as he held her close. "Because I love you so much, Johanna."

Johanna teared up. He knew how to say the most romantic things. "I love you too, Thomas," she said, before a mischievous smile formed on her lips. "I really love you."

And she showed him her love by intensifying the moment. Johanna began by rubbing herself along his stone-hard manhood, stroking her soaking lower lips all over it. It was a slow and deliberate movement that teased them both. Teasing them with the promise of more.

"Fuck yeah, Johanna," Thomas moaned with Johanna. Overcome with sexual bliss, he grabbed her face and hungerly made out with his MILF. His tongue wrestled around with hers.

Wanting to bring her more pleasure and love, Thomas knew he had to go for Johanna's weak point. Letting go of her leg and face, his hands reached up and cupped Johanna's large breasts, giving them a gentle squeeze. Gropping her milk jugs and rubbing the tips of his thumbs against her nipples.

"AAAAAH!" Johanna gave louder, sultry moans as Thomas played with her breasts, and he teased her sensitive nipples. Their hot breaths exhaling on each other, her body trembling with pleasure. She moved faster, grinding against him with increasing urgency, her wetness dripping down his shaft. The sensation of her juices coating him drove him wild.

When Thomas pulled away from her face, he leaned closer to one of them, making Johanna excited by the warmth of his breath on the sensitive mound, fanning the flames of her heart with pleasure.

"Ah... Thomas... I didn't think I would be doing this with you of all people..."

Thomas looked puzzled by this, but his hands couldn't resist groping her breasts and pressing into her tits. "I-Is that a problem?" Thomas asked, wondering why she'd say that.

"Not at all," she told him, the euphoria of having her tits touched jolting into her very core. "I love you so much, and I'm so lucky to have you. It's just... I'm past my prime, as you can see..."

"With all due respect, Johanna, you're nowhere past your prime!" Thomas said. He pulled her closer, his hands tracing the curve of her waist. "You're everything I've ever wanted," he whispered, his voice low and fervent. Johanna's heart raced as she melted into his embrace, feeling the intensity of his love wash over her.

Thomas pushed his fingers into her bare tits and areolas, caressing them slowly in his palms before he leaned in to kiss the woman's collarbone, sending shivers through the MILF's body as she moaned and pushed herself into him. His fingers constantly kneading them while he slid his face down to her bust. The younger man always loved her breasts. They were like a pair of pillows fresh out of a dryer, and they felt warm.

Pressing both of her large melons together, he leaned in closer and began to sprawl his tongue out against her nipples, swirling it around them as if he were licking a piece of candy. His tongue danced around her sensitive peaks, eliciting soft gasps and moans from her.

"Oh my God!" The woman moaned like a horny school girl as she gripped onto the back of Thomas's head, letting the unstoppable pleasure of having her utters tended to rush through her body. Every time his tongue raced along her chest, her heart beat faster, and her body heated up further. "My dear, I want more...oh fuck!"

"You're wish is my command," Thomas said with a smile, before taking both of her erect nipples into his mouth and began to sucking on them, while his hands continued squeezing her jugs, as if to pump milk from her.

"AAAAAH!" Johanna cried as she arched her back, pressing herself closer to him, her hands tangled in his hair. "Ooooh, Mr. Pines! You're a beast…" she moaned, surprised that she could still speak, drunken as she was with lust.

"Oh, Miss Lindquist...you are so beautiful," Thomas said, breathlessly, sliding his tongue across her nipples before giving each of them a gentle kiss. Then he dove back in, sucking on them as if he was drinking her MILF milk. Upon tasting the woman's flesh, Thomas felt addicted. Their soft, vintage taste captivated Thomas's taste buds whenever he indulged in them.

"OOH! I love you, my love! Yes! Ohhhhh!" Johanna let out a long, loud moan as Thomas used his tongue to circle her plump orbs like the rings of Saturn. Her eyes widened as he moved his lips to place kisses along the sides and underneath, making it painfully clear that he loves everything about her. "Ah! I love you!"

He wanted to respond, but as he continued to delight her in their celebration, he was unable to. As he cared for her tits, he slid his left hand down her belly, slipping two fingers into her moist entrance.

"OH FUCK, YES!" Johanna let out a scream of bliss, her eyes rolling back, as she felt his fingers enter him. Making her curl her toes, tightening her fingers in his hair, while she leaned her head back to continue screaming lewdly, filling their apartment with her sinful voice. "Oooooooh, my God! Keep fucking me!"

Feeling Johanna spread her legs wider, Thomas dug his digits deeper into her warm tunnel, as her gushing walls gripped around them. Letting go of her breasts, he moved back up to see her smiling lewdly with lust. He attacked her mouth again, kissing her with ravenous passion while he groped one of her right breat and pumped in and out of her pussy with his fingers, making her juices squirt out and be washed away in the shower.

Feeling him grind his digits against her most sensitive spots sent Johanna into a slutty frenzy as the most enchanting rush she had ever felt, one she'd felt multiple times whenever Thomas fucked her to orgasmic bliss. She licked Thomas'stongue as they made out, but the MILF couldn't take it anymore. She wanted Thomas so badly.

"W-Wait... Thomas! H-Hang on, I'm-I-I'M CUMMING! AAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" Johanna screamed a loud squeal as she arched her back, pushing her pussy further against his hand as her pussy gushed out a strong torrent of clear, warm juices that covered his fingers entirely, before being washed away in the falling water.

On Cloud 9, the MILF moaned like a bitch in heat, her pussy gripping down on her boyfriend's finger while her hands held him for stability. The water was cooling her down, while her body tingled from the sensation of being overstimulated by his mouth and fingers.

After giving her breast one more kiss, Thomas looked over the woman. Her eyes were rolled back as she barely seemed to keep standing. "Are you okay, Johanna?" he asked, looking worried that he might have gone too far.

"Ooooooh, fuck, I'm wonderful~," Johanna slurred as her tongue hung out of her mouth. "Come here, you!"

"Whoa!" Thomas yelped before her mouth covered his. The two adults made out lustfully and passionately, with the younger man hugging the older woman tightly as her hands ran up and down his back, gently dragging her nails across his skin. Making Thomas moan in happiness. Instinctively, he sank his fingers into the woman's butt, causing her to let out a little sigh of delight as he kneaded her ass like dough.

When their lips parted, Johanna said with a slutty smile, "Eagered, aren't we~?

"Not as much as you." Thomas gave his girlfriend a sly grin, eager to get the real fun started. "Are you ready for the real fun, my loving MILF," he asked in a low voice.

Hearing him call her a MILF made a slutty grin form on her face. "You know me so well," she said, and Johanna knew him well, too.

Eager for her boyfriend to fuck her, Johanna turned her back to him. Standing under the running shower head, she slowly bent herself forward, placing her hands on the wall. With her large breasts hanging down like fresh fruits, Johanna moved her hips hypnotically, her large, bubbly butt practically calling for Thomas, her pussy drenched with anticipation.

With her most seductive bedroom eyes, she looked over her shoulder and reached down. "Come and get me, big boy," she said in that sweet tempting voice that would make any man's knees shake.

Men like Thomas, who quickly succumbed to his instincts as he placed his massive manheat on her luscious ass, between her plum cheeks. He then moved himself up and down, moaning with Johanna as he made her feel the cock she loved grinding all over her.

"Aaaaah, my love~" Johanna moaned in pleasure. The hot water running down on them was all but forgotten. "You really love my ass, don't you~?"

Thomas smiled lovingly as he placed his hands on her cheeks, spreading them and exposing her pink pussy lips and anus. "That goes without saying," he said, looking at her womanhood twitching.

Wanting to be a little more fun with her, Thomas grabbed his shaft. He then started teasing the brunette MILF by brushing his cock's tip against her nether lips.

"Ahhhhh, fuuuuuuuucccckkk~" Johanna moaned with pleasure at the sensation it gave her. "No, please! I…I want it," she pleaded with him.

Thomas smirked down at her as she looked back at him with begging eyes while breathing more erratically. She was despate to have him bury his cock deep insider her love tunnel. Just like he wanted to make love and fuck her until he planted his cum inside her womb. Thankfully, she'd been taking birth control since they started dating.

Gritting her teeth, Johanna's eyes rolled back when she felt Thomas pressing his organ against her entrance. Moaning in euphoria as Thomas leaned over her to kiss her right ear. Further driving her crazy.

"Tell me how you want me," he whispered.

"Hnnnng~" Johanna groaned, but nodded eagerly. Looking down at the floor as she shivered.

"P-Please…Thomas, fuck me," she said, much to Thomas'sdelight.

However, it was so low that he could barely hear her over the water. He reached down with his right hand and rubbed her ass, pressing further against her pussy, making her even more excited as her moans grew.

"Yeeees, please! Please, I'm begging you!"

"Please, what?" Thomas asked, kissing the back of her head.

Overcome with overwhelming excitement, Johanna threw her head back and screamed with passion and desire. "Please, for the love of God, FUCK ME! I'm so wet already! I can't take it anymore! Bury your cock in my slutty cunt!" She screamed, not caring if anyone could hear them. "My cunt is your cock's home! I love you so much, and my pussy is yours! So please, fuck me, my love!"

The instant he finished, Johanna felt the mushroom-shaped head push past her opening and into her feminine folds. Diving his entire length deep into her pussy, down to his base.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH~!" Johanna's tongue leapt from her mouth as she shrieked in pleasure, eyes rolling into the back of her head. Johanna felt so full after Thomas bottomed out inside her so roughly, like always. Her entire body shuddered and shook as the most powerful orgasm Johanna had ever experienced rolled over her body.

"Oh, fuck," Thomas uttered under his breath when he lodged his meat-rod deep into the woman's pussy. When he felt her cum, he very nearly exploded too. "You okay?"

"Yeah…absolutely…" Johanna replied, panting wildly, trying to catch her breath. She had stars in her eyes, her head swimming in a sea of pleasure. "Just…you're just so incredible!"

Chuckling, Thomas couldn't help but moan huskily on the back of her neck. "That's my girl," he said with a smile, leaning against her back.

Thomas didn't hesitate to pull almost all the way out and then swiftly plunge back in. Slamming into her craving pussy with full force with fast and heavy thrusts. He repeated this over and over as he pounded her relentlessly. Hitting all of her sensitive places and entering her womb.

"FUCK!" Johanna screamed as her insides were stirred up, another orgasm already beginning to build. Her body began to thrust back against him, moving on its own, desiring to be fucked as completely as possible.

"Oh, fuck yeah!" Thomas moaned with her. Every impact caused her ass cheeks to wobble and bounce. Watching Johanna squirm underneath him encouraged him to go harder and faster. Pushing himself as far as he could go, all while she screamed with more.

FAP! FAP! FAP! FAP! FAP! FAP! FAP! FAP! FAP! FAP!

"DEEPER!" She screamed, rocking her booty back as her tits swung in all directions. "DEEPER! Pound my pussy into mush! Fuck me, Thomas!"

Hearing Johanna swearing in such a slutty way, Thomas grinned as he hammered away into her womb. Slamming his pelvis into her making her round, pale ass jiggle as he passed her cervix and went into her womb, knocking the back of it over and over again. Most women, including those he used to date, would find it painful. But the more he did it, the more Johanna gave her mind to the pleasure.

"OOOOOH, FUCK! YES! Don't stop fucking my pussy!" Johanna screamed like the MILF whore she was, eager to give up all dignity for Thomas. "AH! Yes, Thomas! I love you so much!"

"I love you too! Johanna! You're so amazing!" Thomas grunted between his heavy, laboring breathing. Still on top of her, Thomas snaked his hands underneath Johanna and grabbed hold of her swaying breasts. Squeezing them and lightly pressing his fingers into her sensitive nipples.

"AAAAAAAAAH~!" Johanna rewarded him with a gasp as her tongue hung out. She very nearly buckled under the massive amount of pleasure her young lover gave her, as his fingers sank into her soft, milk-filled utters. "AAAAAH! Oh my God, YES! Grab my titties, you beast! Give me more!"

"You want more?" Thomas asked, lowering his head over Johann's shoulder and starting to kiss her cheek. At the same time, he had the time of his life fondling her soft, pliable orbs. "I'll give you more! AAAAH~!"

Thomas squeezed hard, but not enough to hurt her, as he rocketed faster and harder into her hungry cunt. His hands leaving her tits to grab onto her curvy hips, giving him all the leverage to deliver more powerful thrusts.

FAP! FAP! FAP! FAP! FAP! FAP! FAP! FAP! FAP! FAP!

"YESSS! HAH! HAH! AAAAAAAAAH, FUCK ME!" It was brutal and mind-numbing, and Johanna reveled in all of it, crying in ecstasy as she was pushed up against the wall. The right side of her face and her tits were all pressed into the tile wall. The left side of her face showed Thomas the euphoria coursing through her being. "FUCK ME! Grab me, my love! Use my body, abuse it, and RAVAGE ME!"

Thomas moaned with Johanna as her walls tightened down on him. He looked down at her voluptuous ass-cheeks, watching as they bounced and jiggled from him fucking her. Delivering his cock deep into her womanhod.

He couldn't resist the dirty idea anymore. Thomas raised his hand and…

SPANK!

"AAAAAAAAAAH!" Johanna let out a wail of pleasure when Thomas's hand came down on her rump. "Ooooooooh, yes! Slap my ass more, Thomas! Spank this whore's naughty MILF ass!"

"As you wish!" Thomas grinned as he brought his hand down hard on Johann's ass. Over and over again. With each smack, he felt her pussy tightening down around him.

SMACK!

"AAAAAAH! Again~!"

SMACK!

"FUCK! Again~!

SMACK!

"YES!"

SMACK!

"MORE!"

SMACK!

"THOMAS!" Johanna shrieked like an absolute nymphomanic. And Thomas was there to listen to it all, feeling himself coming closer and closer to his climax.

Thomas stopped when Johanna's soft booty cheeks had been painted over with scarlet-pink hand prints. He then reached out and grabbed the back of her hair, pulling her away from the wall.

"HAAAAAAAH!" Johanna screamed out, not out of pain but with more intense pleasure as her eyes rolled back into her head again. Then, her head was turned, and Thomas pulled her into a deep kiss, his tongue assaulting her mouth.

"Mmmmmmh! Mmmmh! Mmmmmmmh!" The couple moaned into each other's mouths as Thomas sped up, her eyes rolling into the back of her head. Johanna's hand snaked up, grabbing at the back of her boyfriend's head, grabbing his hair to pull.

She broke off the kiss, a thick line of drool connecting their lips. "Harder, Thomas! Yes! Yes! YES!" She screamed, pulling her hands away from the wall as Thomas grabbed her. Letting her limbs hang down limply as he fucked her into oblivion. "Fuck me! Fuck me!"

"Johanna, here it comes!" Thomas yelled over the running water, the smacking of her ass, and Johanna's slutty wailing. He was about to blow all over her insides, and he was going to do it soon. "Think you can take it all?!"

Johanna tugged on his hair as a predatory grin formed on her face. "Do it, my love! Let out all of your manly cream inside me!" Johanna pleaded shamelessly in between womb-wrecker's thrusts. "Give me all of it, and BREED ME!"

Johanna's words riled up Thomas even further, and he increased his tempo.

"Ooooooooh fuck! YES! DO IT!" Johanna begged with screams of pleasure, unable to think about anything or do anything but arch her back and await being creampied by the man she loved so much. "YEEEEEES THIS FEELS SO GOOD! PLEASE, THOMAS! Cumming! I'm gonna cumming! I…I'm gonna….! AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH~! FFFFFUUUUUCCCCCCCCKKKKKK~!"

Johanna's eyes rolled back all the way as her back arched and she screamed, announcing her pleasure and love to the world, while Thomas hilted himself inside her, dumping stream after stream of hot cum into her stomach. Both lovers shuddered as he finished inside of the MILF.

[LEMON ENDS HERE]

"I love you so, so much," Johanna moaned lowly, breathing haggardly. Her body was coated in sweat and shaking.

"I love you too, Johanna," Thomas said as they both collapsed into the tub. His hold on her never loosened as she hugged her tightly. "I love you so much. I've loved you since the day I met you. That love will never go away."

Tears that were washed away fell from Johanna's eyes as she pulled him into a deep kiss. Both loved each other as much as possible.

"So…ready to get out?" Thomas asked.

Johanna smiled weakly and said, "No, I need a shower."

"I think I need one, too," Thomas said with a chuckle. He leaned in and kissed her forehead tenderly before standing up and offering her his hand.

"Come on, let's get cleaned up." Johanna smiled, took his hand, and together they stood up in the tub. "And that's it for today. I've got to start on my work."

"Aw…"

Johanna smirked seductively. "When it gets dark, however…" She giggled when she felt Thomas's cock spring up again, ready for more. "Down, boy."

A month later, Thomas parked his truck in front of the apartment and climbed out. In his hands were flowers and a bottle of wine. He wore a smile, eager to see the woman he loved so much.

For nearly a month, Johanna experienced remarkable success in her endeavors—more than she ever anticipated. Her bell designs were tremendous successes—not just one design but all of them. The company that hired her adored each creation and compensated her generously for her time and effort, exceeding what she had ever envisioned being paid. Yet Johanna was just getting started. Every day, she produced more and more designs. The bells loved them, and soon, word of their new product began to spread, from billboards to advertisements.

She was so happy that every night, when Hilda and Twig went to sleep, she pulled Thomas out of bed. They would head down to Thomas's apartment and make love.

It wasn't just Johanna, as David was experiencing something similar. As the days went by and practice continued for the Warblers, the young boy began to make a name for himself. His musical talents became the talk of the school. Hilda told Thomas that he hadn't experienced a single accident- not even a bug flying into his mouth. In fact, he even got the lead role in the play.

It was truly amazing for both of them, and Thomas couldn't have been happier. He wasn't sure what was bringing them this amount of luck, but he hoped it would never end. Thomas felt a sense of pride and gratitude for how things were unfolding. He cherished the moments spent with Johanna and the success David was achieving. Life seemed perfect, and he hoped their streak of good fortune would continue indefinitely.

However, when Thomas returned home that day, everything changed.

Walking into the apartment, he approached Johanna, who seemed to be deeply engrossed in her work. Thomas smiled at the sight. He set the flowers and wine on the table and walked up behind her. Wrapping his arms around her, the younger man kissed the top of her head and said, "Why don't you take a break, and we can make the most of our time together?"

Johanna didn't respond, however.

"Johanna," Thomas asked before a peculiar scent hit his nose. "Wait... I recognize this scent..." He turned Johanna around and gasped in horror.

The woman he loved so deeply was no longer herself. Her eyes glowed white, and as her body twitched, she produced strange noises while smoke rose from the top of her head. Thomas stumbled back, his mind racing with disbelief. This was no ordinary occurrence. Her unnatural movements and eerie sounds filled the room, leaving him in a state of sheer panic because he knew exactly what'd happened.

She was enchanted.

"Oh my God!" Thomas yelled, gripping her shoulder and shaking her gently. Hoping to break her from the spell that was making her glitch out. "Johanna? Johanna, snap out of it!"

It didn't take long for Johanna to snap out of her trance. "Huh? What?" she asked, glancing around before turning back to Thomas with wide eyes. "Thomas? How did you get here? What's going on?"

"Johanna, were you enchanted?" Thomas asked, his voice filled with concern and urgency.

"I'm enchanting? Oh, you!" Johanna giggled, her cheeks flushed with flattery.

"No, that's not—"

Johanna's phone rang, interrupting Thomas. She pulled out her phone and answered it. "Hello? Oh, yes, I have the designs ready! I'll bring them over right now," Johanna said, standing up and coaxing Thomas to rise with her. "Yes, I believe you'll be pleased with the designs."

"Uh, Johanna?" Thomas said, trying to get her to listen to him.

"Mm?" Johanna looked at her boyfriend. "Oh, right! I'm afraid I can't stay for long. I've got my daughter's Warblers concert."

"Johanna!" Thomas said again as she gathered her drawings and tucked them away.

"Mm?" Johanna looked at her boyfriend, and just like before, she pretended to realize what he was trying to tell her. "Oh, right! My purse. Huh? Oh, yes, I'm on my way right now," she said, grabbing her purse from the table. Her car keys were already inside it.

"But…"

"Oh, right!" Johanna rushed over and kissed her boyfriend on the lips. "Can't leave without that. Bye!"

With that, Thomas watched as Johanna hurried out the door. He sighed and ran his hand beneath his hat, through his hair. "This is really bad," he said.

If she was enchanted, Johanna's life was in terrible danger. He had to act quickly. The only way to break the spell was to find the source of the enchantment and the one who'd cast it. But with her glitching out, Thomas knew time was running out; he feared he might be too late to save her.

His phone rang, and Thomas pulled it out to answer.

"Hello?"

"Thomas! Oh, thank goodness," Frida said on the other line. "I need your help badly. You're the expert on all things weird, so maybe you could explain what's going on with David."

"Yeah, well, there's something wrong with Johanna," said Thomas, running out of the Lindquist apartment and going downstairs to his. "She's enchanted."

"Enchanted? How do you know?"

"Trust me, I've seen it all before," Thomas said, running into his apartment. There, on the table, lay his journal. Opening the book, he searched for the page about enchantments. "She's displaying all the classic symptoms of enchantment: creepy glowing eyes, making bizarre noises, steam rising from her head."

"That's exactly what's been happening to David, too!"

This caught Thomas's attention. "Really? So they've both been hit by the same enchantment? That would explain all their good luck lately," he said, cursing himself for not realizing it sooner.

"Are you saying someone made it so that they're winning?"

"Well, if they were having bad luck, we'd be dealing with a curse," Thomas said, looking at the next page in the digital journal about curses. "But now we need to figure out who would be foolish enough to cast it. Who would ignore the warnings just to grant David and Johanna good fortune?"

Thomas stopped. He then adopted a deadpan expression, not needing to finish the sentence. He knew exactly who was responsible for both David and Johanna's conditions.

"I'll call you back," he said, ending the call.

"Hilda... what did you do?" Thomas asked sternly, standing before her. The young girl sat on her bed, looking guilty in front of her friend and father figure.

It was pointless to lie. It was time for her to come clean. "Well...I may have used that one little enchantment I showed on them," she said nervously.

"What?!" Thomas exclaimed in shock. "Didn't I explicitly say not to use that spell?!"

"But it's not a dangerous one," Hilda replied. "It's from a library book, for goodness' sake."

"Libraries are the source of all evil!" Thomas yelled. He paused, took a deep breath, and rubbed his face in frustration. "Alright, Hilda, does this book mention any potential downsides to the enchantment?"

"To be honest, I just took a picture of the page I needed," Hilda said, pulling her phone from her pocket and opening the photo she had captured. The blue-haired adventurer then handed it to Thomas, who examined the enchantment closely. "I didn't read the rest of it too carefully."

Thomas zoomed in, scrutinizing each word. That's when he noticed a particular detail that concerned him. "Did you follow up on footnote number 35?" he asked, hoping her answer would be yes.

"Uh, no," Hilda replied regretfully. "I was kind of in a rush."

The clock door of Alfur's house clicked open, and the little elf stepped out. He scoffed at Hilda's foolishness and waved his tiny stick arm at her. "Never, ever ignore a footnote," he declared.

"We need to check it immediately," Thomas said with a serious expression. "But trust me, we will be having a discussion about this when this is over, young lady."

After driving to the library, Thomas, Hilda, and Twig quickly ran to the secret room. Once they opened it, the man turned on the lights to see. "Oh wow!" Alfur exclaimed as he rode on Thomas's hat. "Libraries are thrilling temples of the unexpected!"

"Alright, Hilda, where is it?" Thomas asked, looking around the shelves.

"Here it is," Hilda replied, finding the book from which she got the spell. "'How to Aid and Keep Thy Friends Forever.'" Thomas knelt down and watched as she turned to the page where she found the enchantment.

"Okay, " There's the footnote. Let's find out what it says," he said as Hilda turned to the page the footnote indicated. Thomas glanced over the page before looking at the blue-haired girl with a frown. "Hilda, this is a whole page of important info!"

"It's probably just a lot of blah, blah, blah, right?" Hilda asked nervously, even as both the redhead and the elf shot her a disapproving glance. "I mean, who would put anything important in a footnote?"

Alfur scoffed at her ignorance. "Whoever wrote this book, that's who!"

Thomas picked up the book and settled into the red chair as he scanned the page. "Uh, side effects include blanked-out eyes, occasional growling, or a fine mist rising from the enchantress's scalp, typical signs that the soul is preparing to be forfeited to the enchanter for all eternity!" he read, his voice growing louder. "Damn it, I knew this would happen! You're stealing their souls, Hilda!"

"Oh, no! That's terrible!" Hilda exclaimed, instantly feeling remorseful for what she had done. Her face turned pale as she clutched the book tightly, her eyes wide with panic. All she wanted was to help her Mum and David, not harm them.

"Oh, I guess that's one way to keep your friends forever," Alfur said in a vain attempt to lighten the mood.

"Not helping!" Thomas said, glaring up at the elf.

"Thomas, I'm so sorry. I-I just wanted to help Mum and David," she stammered, her voice trembling as the weight of her actions settled in. "This isn't at all what I wanted to happen!"

Thomas sighed, his expression softening slightly. He understood that Hilda's intentions were good, even if her actions had put everyone in danger.

"We have to fix this somehow," she added, her determination shining through her fear as she looked to Thomas and Alfur for guidance. "How do we lift the enchantment?"

"Hold on," said Thomas as he looked over the page, desperate to find something that could save his girlfriend and David while Hilda paced in front of him. Thankfully, he saw something. "Okay, it looks like there's some kind of 30-day trial period. 'If the enchanted tide mouse is returned by the end of the 30 days, the enchantment is broken. Please be advised that the official disenchantment requires certain actions on the part of all involved.'"

"Such as what?" Hilda asked.

Thomas looked at the book. "It doesn't say," he said, much to her dismay.

"Is there another footnote?"

Knowing he would be needed, Alfur jumped down from Thomas's hat and landed on the book. "No, but…" he said, glancing over the tiny print at the bottom. "Aha! There is an asterisk. 'See Appendix One for instructions.'"

The elf was covered up when Thomas turned to the next page. However, the printing was so tiny that it was impossible to see with the naked eye. "What is it with spellcasters using the tiniest fine print I've ever seen?"

Pushing the page off himself, Alfur pulled out a pair of glasses. Putting them on made his eyes appear larger. He gasped at the page's contents. "It's a masterpiece of confusing clauses, that's for sure," he told the two humans, amazed that something like this would be possible for humans.

"What does it say we have to do?" Hilda asked. No matter what it was, she was willing to do it for her mum and David.

Alfur cleared his throat and began reading what it had to say. "'Step one: the witch must first perform…'"

"Wait! We need a witch to make this work," Hilda said with wide eyes, a feeling of dread washing over her. "We don't know any witches."

Thomas was about to mention that he did, in fact, know a witch. Kaisa needed to find a way to get rid of the enchantment. However, approaching her meant he had to reveal that she was a witch, and he wasn't going to break his promise, especially if the redhead didn't want to be turned into a frog or something.

Thomas was intrigued by the book's wording; he paid close attention to what it said about needing the witch. That's when he understood its message. "It's not asking for a witch. It's asking for the witch," he told the blue-haired girl vehemently. "Hilda, that means you. You were the one who cast the spell. Therefore, you are the witch."

"What? No," Hilda replied, her eyes wide with wonder when she looked to Alfur. "Really?"

"I'm afraid so. 'The witch must first perform this chant aloud with vigor, but it only works if done at moonrise. Once the disenchantment has begun, it must be completed within an hour to take effect'." Alfur gasped and looked closely at the book with a big smile. "Oh! There's a footnote to the asterisk of the footnote! 'Do not forget to feed the disenchanted tide mouse a small morsel of bread at the end, or it will never leave you in peace.'"

"Good to know, but the 30 days are almost up," Thomas said urgently as he placed Alfur on his head and closed the book. "We've already missed tonight's moonrise; that means tomorrow night is our last chance."

"During The Warblers' concert," Hilda said grimly.

"I'll keep an eye on the time," Thomas said, rolling up his sleeve to reveal his watch. "When it's time for moonrise, I'll signal you, and then you can break out the chant."

"But I'll be on stage in front of an audience for the first time in my life," Hilda told him, a nervous look in her eyes. "I'm going to seem a little crazy."

"You're going to seem a lot crazier," Alfur said, earning a disgruntled look from Hilda and Thomas.

"I'm sorry, but it's the only way," Thomas insisted. "It's tomorrow night, or never."

Hilda nodded, determination replacing her nerves. Together, they prepared for the crucial moment tomorrow..

The next day, the sun set over Trolberg as Thomas and Johanna entered the Sparrow Scouts Hall. Other parents mingled and took their seats, waiting for the show to begin. Hilda and the children stayed backstage, behind the red curtains, eagerly anticipating their performance.

However, as he and his girlfriend held hands and made their way to their seats, Thomas looked at Johanna with a worried expression. All day, he had been concerned about the older woman. While they were making love last night for hours, Johanna glitched out again. It was only for a brief moment before they resumed. Then again, before the sun rose, she dropped some plates and her breakfast. Believing she was coming down with something, Johanna decided to take the day off to recuperate.

"Are you sure you're alright, baby?" Thomas inquired, looking at her worriedly.

"Actually, much better," Johanna said as she sat down with David's mom, Erika, and Frida's mom, Rachel. "I believe I just needed a break."

"I can imagine so, Miss Big-Shot Graphic Designer," Erika said with a broad smile. Both women were gazing at their fellow mom with cheerful expressions. "You've been on a roll, girl!"

"Oh, thank you," Johanna said with a sheepish smile and a blush. "I honestly can't believe this is happening to me. I could just—" She suddenly glitched out again, her eyes glowing and steam rising from her, making a growing sound. It startled the other women and Thomas until she returned to normal. "Oooooooh, sorry. I must still be stressed."

"Uh…" Thomas looked around nervously before glancing at his watch. They were so close to moonrise. "Here, have some water," he said, handing Johanna a bottle.

"Oh, thank you, love," she said, taking a swig of the refreshing water. "Why don't you go check on Hilda and see how she's doing. She looked nervous about tonight."

"That sounds like a great idea," Thomas said, standing up to leave. He stopped, however, when he remembered something important. "Oh, right!" The redhead grabbed Johanna's head and gave her cheek a big kiss. "I love you."

Johanna giggled and kissed him back. "I love you too," she said. Smiling lovingly as Thomas turned and made his way through the crowd.

As she turned back to Erika and Rachel, she saw David's mother smiling teasingly at her. On the other hand, Frida's mom looked at her with a mixture of judgment and disapproval. Both of these expressions confused her, as Johanna raised an eyebrow at them.

"What?"

"Soooooo, what's it like?" asked Erika teasingly.

"What's what like?" Johanna asked.

"Being in an inappropriate relationship with a man 10 years younger than you," Rachel said in a harsh tone, making it very clear that the sophisticated woman did not approve of Johanna's relationship.

"Rachel! Be nice." Erika scolded her friend.

"No, no, it's okay," Johanna replied, her voice firm as she stared firmly at the other woman. She took a deep breath and composed herself. "But if you must know, it's wonderful. He makes me happy, and that's all that matters. And I don't care what anyone thinks."

"You don't care," Rachel asked, her voice dripping with disbelief.

"No, I don't," Johanna replied, her tone unwavering. "I've never been happier, and that's what truly matters to me. The age gap felt strange at first, but we're both adults; not only consenting adults, but also in love with each other. If anything, it's refreshing to be with someone who sees me for who I am- beyond just my age- and who loves my daughter. Your approval, or lack of it, doesn't change how I feel. What Thomas and I have doesn't come with an age limit, and I won't let outdated opinions dictate my happiness."

She smiled, her confidence unshaken, happy to see that she left Rachel speechless. Erika, meanwhile, smiled in support. "So, come on! Spill, girl."

"Alright, fine," Johanna said, her smile widening, blushing brightly.

Meanwhile, Thomas slipped backstage and found Hilda with the other kids. David was there, glitching out before returning to normal. When she saw it happen again and noticed the redheaded man, Frida pulled Hilda aside and brought her over to Thomas.

"Guys, David's getting worse," she said to them. "Please tell me you have a plan to help him."

"We do. Just be ready for when things go crazy," Thomas said.

The Raven Leader approached Thomas from behind, holding a clipboard. "Excuse me, Thomas, but we're about to begin," she informed the younger man.

"Oh, right," Thomas said, stepping back from Hilda. The two girls returned to their original places as the PI exited the stage from the left wing. Johanna was speaking with Erika and Rachel when he sat down with them. Whatever they were discussing, they hushed each other and attempted to act normally.

Sitting beside his girlfriend, Thomas smiled as Johanna rested her head against him. "Thank you for checking on her," she said. "How was she?"

"Nervous, but she'll be fine," he replied with a smile. "Hilda's a tough kid."

"I know, but still, thank you so much," she said, kissing his cheek.

Seeing her happiness and knowing what he had to do to save her soul broke Thomas's heart. She had been looking forward to this night for so long after learning that Hilda had gotten into the Warblers. This would have been everything she wanted it to be if Hilda hadn't used the enchantment. Johanna was so happy when she received her big break with the Bells commissioning her. Now, Hilda was about to ruin everyone's big night, and he had to help her do it. If not, Johanna and David would be lost forever.

And that concert was about to start, with the Raven Leader stepping out from behind the curtains. "Welcome back! What a wonderful evening of fundraising and fun," she said to the audience. "And now, for our grand finale, 'Sparrow Scouts, Forever.'"

The parents clapped and cheered as the curtains parted. The blue-haired girl's parents watched Hilda on stage, standing next to David. Upon seeing her mum and Thomas, Hilda smiled and waved at them. They returned her smile and waved back.

Suddenly, Johanna glitched out again, startling Thomas, who tried to rub her back and calm her down. Looking back at the stage, Thomas saw how startled Hilda was. He held up his hand and gestured for her to remain calm. It wasn't time yet. When it was time, he would give her the signal.

Sitting with Johanna, as she was still glitching out, Thomas could only watch the concert. The kids stepped forward, and the assistant began playing the piano. Hilda pushed her nerves down and sang with her friends. The audience was captivated by their performance. Despite the glitches, Johanna managed to calm down and return to normal. Seeing that the concert was beginning, she smiled and enjoyed it. Through the collective singing, Hilda's voice rang out confidently, blending beautifully with the others.

Nothing could stop Thomas's smile from forming. It made him wonder if his parents felt the same way when he and his sister performed in these concerts. As he watched a girl he considered his daughter by every measure except blood, Thomas felt a sadness that she would never be able to complete it. Thomas looked at his watch. It was almost time.

The assistant transitioned to an electric keyboard, and a spotlight illuminated David. He began singing his incredible song, impressing all the parents and making his mom proud. Thomas watched with a mix of pride and heartbreak as David's voice filled the room. The boy's talent was undeniable, and he wanted him to continue, but when Thomas's watch began to buzz, he knew that the performance had to come to an end.

"Oh? What's that for?" Johanna asked, looking at him with curiosity. She heard the watch buzzing, making her wonder why he had an alarm set.

"Something you're not going to like," he replied, glancing at Hilda and signaling for her to start breaking the spell.

Hilda nodded and looked around nervously. "Rot cavoya nin feultay."

"With vigor!" Thomas whispered, raising his voice and lifting his hand.

Hilda understood his message and sighed. She really didn't want to do this during David's big moment, but she had no other choice. She had to fix what she had started.

"ROT CAVOYA NIN FEULTAY!" Hilda shouted with all the strength she could muster, addressing everyone. They all watched in shock as a green aperture of magic left her mouth while a glow emerged from above her.

The cancelling spell was complete, but the job wasn't done yet. They now had to retrieve and return the mice.

Everyone looked at Hilda in complete shock at what she had just done. The lights turned back on, and she saw all of their faces. David, going along with it, smiled nervously at the crowd. Not understanding what was happening, the Raven Leader clapped for her scouts. It caught on as the other parents began clapping for the kids. The concert ended oddly, but it was still amazing.

Thomas smiled and turned to Johanna. He gasped when he noticed the top of her head; now he saw the tide mouse perched there.

"Thomas, what's going on?" Johanna asked, eyeing him suspiciously, unaware of the little friend resting on her head.

"Johanna, I need you to trust me and hold still," Thomas said, slowly raising his hands toward her head. If he could catch the mouse before anyone else—

"AAAAH!" a woman behind them screamed, pointing not at Thomas and Johanna but at David. Everyone stared at what she saw and gasped. His mouse was perched in his hair, and now everyone could see it.

Thomas said, "Fuck."

All hell broke loose the moment David reached up and felt it. He screamed, startling the mouse. It leaped off David and landed on the face of the boy next to him. Then it jumped off him, landed on a girl's head, and fell onto the stage. The mouse scurried across the stage, causing chaos among the performers.

The tide mouse leapt off and landed on a woman's face before moving on to another. This sent everyone into a panic. Parents scrambled to avoid it, knocking over chairs in the process. The concert devolved into a frenzy of screams, leaving everyone in disbelief as they ran away from the mouse, backing up against the walls of the cabin.

"Hilda, grab your mom's mouse!" Thomas shouted to the blue-haired girl. "I'll handle the other one!"

Thomas ran off to find the other mouse, chasing after the woman who had it on her head. "My mouse?" Johanna asked in confusion, looking at Erika and Rachel for an explanation.

They saw the mouse too and screamed. They ran away, leaving the brunette even more confused. That's when her eyes widened as the realization set in. Her fear rose as she reached up to touch the little creature in her hair.

"Mum, don't!" Hilda yelled, rushing over and pulling out a small transparent tube that Thomas had given her. "Let me get it."

"Hilda, what's going on?!" Johanna asked, kneeling and lowering her head.

Hilda chuckled nervously as she coaxed the mouse into the tube. "That's…a long story," she said, closing the container.

Meanwhile, Thomas watched as the mouse jumped onto David's mom's head, making her scream. He rushed over.

"Erika, stop!" Startled, the woman wearing glasses froze and looked at the younger man with a frightened expression. "It's okay," he said, pulling out another tube. "Just hold still."

Just like the blue-haired girl, he gently pushed the mouse into the tube. Given how frightened it was, it was surprisingly easy. With the mouse, Thomas ran over to his girlfriend.

"We'll explain on the way. Frida, grab David and let's go!" Thomas ordered everyone. Soon, he, Johanna, and Hilda were running out the door, with Frida holding David's hand and dragging him behind her as she followed them.

Once everyone was in the truck, Thomas pulled out of his parking spot and slammed his foot down on the accelerator. The wheels screeched on the asphalt as the electric truck sped down the road. They only had an hour to reach the tide pool, and in the meantime, Hilda could explain to everyone what she had done to them. Needless to say, Johanna wasn't happy when she heard the story, but she tried to remain kind. However, judging by the look on her face, Thomas knew she was freaking out.

David, however, was more vocal. "So, you cast an enchantment, and now our souls are in mortal danger?" he asked, looking at his best friend in shock. All three kids sat in the backseat, Johanna in the front with Thomas, who was driving.

"N-Not if we finish the disenchantment before the hour is up," Hilda said, stuttering.

"Still, it never should have happened!" Thomas scolded her.

Suddenly, both David and Johanna began glitching out again, growling with glowing eyes and steam rising from their heads. However, things took a turn for the worse when Hilda started exhibiting the same symptoms.

"Hilda!" Thomas yelled as it began happening. Once it ended, Hilda shook her head and groaned.

"I don't feel so good," she said, as if her stomach had been pulled out and then stuffed back in.

"Thomas, what's happening!?" Frida asked, terrified about her friends.

"We're running out of time!" Thomas exclaimed, accelerating. "Her body's taking their souls."

Gazing at her mother, Hilda gasped in terror. "Oh no. Mum!" she cried out.

"Hilda, how close are we?" Thomas inquired.

Hilda looked outside the vehicle and spotted the tidepool where she found the mouse. It lay below the cliff the road traversed. "There! But we'll never make it by road," she responded.

"Then you better hold on, tight."

Suddenly, the redhead yanked the steering wheel to the left. The truck crashed through the guardrail and rolled down the cliff. Both girls screamed as Thomas looked ahead with determination, barreling through another wooden guardrail before the vehicle finally reached the beach.

Slamming on the brakes brought the truck to a halt, and it was then that the Enchanted snapped out of their dazed state.

"What just happened?" Johanna asked, shocked to see they were already at the beach.

The wind whistled around them as they exited the running truck. The headlights of the vehicle illuminated the path as the five of them walked toward the tide pool. It was colder than usual, and Johanna began to freeze. Thomas noticed this and wrapped his left arm around her to keep her warm. It worked, and the MILF smiled at him.

When they arrived at the tide pool, Thomas stepped away from his girlfriend and approached Johanna's daughter. Kneeling on one knee, Thomas took out his tube, and Hilda accepted it from him. This was the moment to make everything right.

Hilda lowered both tubes into the water and flipped the latches on them, setting the mice free into the pool. Both squeaked happily as they returned home.

With the first part completed, Thomas pulled out the piece of paper where he had written the instructions. "Say this chant twice," he instructed David and Johanna. "Lo fesi jalvali. Got it?"

"I…I don't know," David said nervously. That was until Johanna knelt beside him and placed a supportive hand on his shoulder.

"We'll do it together," she reassured him. "Okay?"

Smiling, David nodded and joined her.

"Lo fesi jalvali, lo fesi jalvali!"

In the pool, the mice stood up as their eyes glowed brighter. Everyone watched with wide eyes as they made the water around them glow blue. A magical blue energy field rose and surrounded the mythical creatures before a brilliant beam of light shot into the sky, swirling clouds around it to form a vortex.

Hilda, Johanna, and David's eyes glowed. For a moment, Thomas was frightened they were too late until he saw light flowing from the blue-haired girl's eyes as she began to lift off the ground. The light ascended into the sky with the beam from the pool. From her, two spheres of magic rose from her eyes. The two enchantments that she had placed on her mother and best friend.

When it was over, Hilda's body fell to the ground. Thomas gasped and caught her just before a massive ball of magic crashed down. He shielded his daughter as sand blasted in all directions.

Frida coughed and looked up at the sky, noticing that it was clearing and the beams had vanished. She glanced at the others and saw they were all on the ground, covered in sand and seaweed.

Thomas was the first to sit up, holding Hilda in his arms. "Hilda?"

Breathing heavily, Hilda opened her eyes and smiled at her father-figure. "Thomas?"

"Yeah, you made it," Thomas said with a relieved smile. Turning his head to the right, he saw Johanna and David waking up. Both brushed themselves off and removed the seaweed.

Placing Hilda on the ground, Thomas stood up. They did the same, cleaning off their clothes and hair. The blue-haired girl walked over and helped David up, who was grateful for her assistance.

"I'm glad that's over with," Frida said, smiling at a job well done.

"No, it's not," Thomas replied, however.

"What?" Hilda looked at him in shock. "B-But we completed the ritual. The mice are gone…"

"Yeah, you're right. But we're far from finished, missy," Thomas said, leaning down to show her his anger. He stood straight again as Johanna approached, wearing an equally disappointed expression.

Hilda gulped as Johanna took a deep breath and placed her hands together, trying to calm herself for just a moment. "Hilda, I know you meant well, but WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?!" she shouted at her daughter.

"I cannot believe you would do this, Hilda!" Thomas exclaimed, looking at her in disbelief. "You disobeyed me when I told you not to use magic on David, and then you used the same spell on your mother?"

"I wasn't trying to hurt anyone," she said to Thomas with guilty eyes before turning to Johanna. "Honestly, Mum. I thought I'd found a way to give you guys a lucky break, that's all."

"Well, that's… that is very sweet," Johanna said after taking a moment to consider what she was trying to do.

"But also deeply terrifying," David commented.

"And not to mention stupid of you to do!" Thomas said, still upset with her. However, seeing her look even more ashamed, the redhead softened as he knelt down on one knee to get closer to her. "Hilda…I just didn't want to see you make the same mistake I did."

"What?" Hilda asked, looking at Thomas in shock. Even the others were surprised to hear this.

"It was a long time ago, and I wanted to help my family with an enchantment," Thomas said to Hilda. "The one I learned about wasn't like what you used; it was…different, much more sinister than I ever thought it would be. I didn't know what it would do. I was able to stop it before mom and dad were lost forever, but by the time I was able to stop the curse, it was almost too late. I just…I didn't want you to make the same mistake I did."

Hilda smiled in relief before hugging Thomas. Smiling, Thomas hugged her back. "I'm so sorry," she said, pulling away from him. "Next time, I promise to read all the footnotes."

"And…?"

"And listen to you."

"That's all I asked," Thomas replied.

The two of them then heard bubbling from the tide pool. Hilda gasped and said, "I forgot the very last step."

Walking over to the pool, she pulled out a piece of bread. Kneeling, she placed it in the pool between the mice.

"Here you go," she said, watching as they ate it. "Now, be free!"

"Well, I could use a cup of tea and a cucumber sandwich," said Johanna. "Anybody with me?"

"I am," said David.

"Me, too." Frida joined in.

"Let's go home," Thomas said, smiling at all of them. "Go ahead and go to the truck, I've just got some journaling to do."

"Okay, don't be late," Johanna said, walking and planting a kiss on his cheek. She then took Hilda's hand and started leading her away with Frida and David following.

Turning back to the tide pool, Thomas smiled as he pulled out his camera and took a picture of the mice. They were really cute, and they'll make for a great section for his journal entry. "Kinda wish I could take you two home," he said, taking another picture.

SNAP!

Thomas gasped and turned his head as sharply as he could. His eyes were wide, and he looked shocked and a bit panicky. That wasn't just a snap of a branch, but of a bone.

However, no one was there. It was too dark for him to see anything either way.

"Thomas!" Johanna called out to him, waiting by the truck. "Are you ready?"

"Y-Yeah, I'm ready," Thomas said, still shaken by the snapping. He didn't know why. That thing hadn't been seen in over a decade.

Before he could start walking to the truck, he didn't notice the Tide Mice getting out of the pool and crawling into his satchel bag.

Nor did he see the ancient evil that'd followed him across the world. Hiding in the woods, it watched Thomas get to his family and their friends. An evil, crooked smile appeared on its face as its neck snapped, failing to hold up its head.

"So nice that you still think of me, boy," said the evil before walking a crooked mile back into the pits of hell, where he came from.

AN: The biggest change from the series that I'm constantly having to remind myself and adapt to this story is that Hilda doesn't take place in modern day, but in the 2040s. 31 years after the events of Gravity Falls/Weirder Things, which was in 2012. And this is after McGucket sold so many of his inventions off and made millions. So, who knows what technological advancements are in this new age? I imagine that it's not all that different from our technology.

There weren't all that many differences from canon other than Thomas's involvement. However, we did get some major lore for his character in this chapter. And the arrival of a new villain, one that will be more dangerous than anything Hilda had faced before.

I hope you all loved the lemon scene. It just seemed like the perfect time to have another one, and you know, I went all out to make it hot.

First of all, I just want to say thank you to everyone who is patient. Everyone else who was impatiently telling me to finish this chapter said you all can go to hell.

The next chapter will be the Ghosts episode.

Until then, farewell.
