Threads of Infinity chapter 6: Forsaken in the Dark

The moon hung low in the sky, its cold light barely breaking through the thick clouds. Tsukasa stood alone in the desolate training ground outside the Gojo estate, his fists clenched so tightly that his knuckles turned white. His small body trembled with rage, his cursed energy crackling in violent bursts around him like a storm waiting to break. Every breath was sharp, every thought a searing ember of bitterness.

Satoru... you left me.

The words echoed in his mind, over and over, each repetition more suffocating than the last. Tsukasa's heart pounded in his chest, the beat of it matching the thunderous roar of the cursed energy swirling inside him. His entire existence had been tied to Satoru—the strongest, his mentor, his family. But now... nothing. Just emptiness. The weight of abandonment pressed on him like an anchor, dragging him down into a deep, black void.

"Why..." Tsukasa hissed through gritted teeth, his voice thick with raw emotion. "Why did you leave me?"

The words broke free of him like a dam collapsing under pressure, and with it, his cursed energy surged violently. The ground beneath his feet cracked, jagged fissures splitting the earth as his rage manifested in chaotic blasts of power. The energy twisted around him, snapping and crackling, each burst of raw force a desperate attempt to fill the emptiness that Satoru had left behind.

He swung his arms, and the air around him shimmered with explosive force, sending shockwaves through the training grounds. His body trembled with each wave of power he unleashed, but the satisfaction of destruction was fleeting. Nothing could fill the void that Satoru's absence had carved into him. Every strike, every blast was a futile effort to hold onto something—anything—that made sense of the world now that everything felt broken.

A brutal, feral scream tore from Tsukasa's throat as he sent another violent surge of cursed energy into the night. The trees surrounding the grounds cracked and splintered, the sound sharp like the breaking of a fragile promise. His small frame jerked with each release of power, and yet, he couldn't stop. Couldn't stop trying to feel something, anything, to drown out the emptiness gnawing at him.

"Don't leave me..." Tsukasa whispered, his voice cracking under the weight of the grief that surged through him. "Don't leave me alone..."

The cursed energy swirling around him responded, flaring to new heights as if it could sense the desperation in his words. His body burned with the sheer intensity of it, but it wasn't enough. It was never enough. It would never be enough to bring back the one person who had promised to stand beside him, to guide him, to never leave him behind.

But he had left.

And Tsukasa was left with nothing but rage and pain.

He stood alone in the dark, his breath ragged, his energy still lashing out violently, and the only thing that remained was the emptiness of abandonment.
