𝑱𝒐𝒉𝒏 π‘Ύπ’Šπ’π’„π’‰π’†π’”π’•π’†π’“ 𝒔𝒂𝒕 at the motel room table, it's been a week once more and he couldn't get over the fact that one of his sons is getting cozy with a snake monster. He stares at the sleeping couple, his eyes slowly moving towards the colt that sat on the table in front of him. The boys had told him everything after he threatened to shoot her once more; having seen her use her powers on those vamps. Sam had actually been the calm one in the whole situation, having to practically pull a feral Dean off him. He'd never seen his son like that, he almost believed that he was under a spell; but he could see, much to his displeasure, that the monster actually cared for his boy too. The couple had left for a few hours, giving Sam the time to explain everything. When the couple came back, they crashed, leaving John to sulk in his own silence.

Now, four hours later, the walls are covered with information on the yellow eyed demon. Weather charts, hieroglyphics, pictures, newspaper articles, written notes, a shelf of books and more. John sits at a paper strewn desk, the Colt in front of him. Sam leans against the counter while Dean paces, Maeve is sitting on the counter next to the sink, eating her burger from the night before. "So, this is it. This is everything I know. Look, our whole lives we been searching for this demon right? Not a trace, just... nothing. Until about a year ago. For the first time I picked up a trail." John explains, "And that's when you took off." Sam finishes for his father, with a roll of his eyes. Maeve chuckles lowly, she loves it when the boys sass their father.

He was such an ass.

"Yeah. That's right. The demon must have come out of hiding, or hibernation." John responds, Maeve hums lightly. "It could be a sacrificial ritual for him, people used to bring me things thinking I would 'eat' their enemies." Maeve says, gaining the attention of the three males in the room. "Well, you are a monster." John speaks up, Dean and Sam glares towards their father. "Dad." They speak together, their voices and faces filled with anger. "All right, so what's this trail you found?" Maeve asks, giving the older man a sarcastic smile as he glares back. She wasn't going to give him the satisfaction, "It starts in Arizona, then New Jersey, California. Houses burned down to the ground. It's going after families, just like it went after us." John finally speaks up after a long moment of silence. "Families with infants?" Sam and Maeve ask together, cocking their heads to the side. "Yeah. The night of the kid's six-month birthday."

"I was six months old that night?"

"Exactly six months."

"So basically, this demon is going after these kids for some reason. The same way it came for me? So Mom's death... Jessica. It's all because of me?"

"We don't know that Sam."

"Oh really? Cause, I'd say we're pretty damn sure, Dean." Sam snaps towards his brother, Dean flares, clearly frustrated. "For the last time, what happened to them was not your fault." Sam turns, shouting towards his older brother, giving Maeve a headache. "Right. It's not my fault, but it's my problem." Maeve and Dean both groan, "No, it's not your problem; it's our problem!" Dean shouts, John stands in anger. "Okay. That's enough." Everyone takes a breath and calms down, "So, why's he doing it. What does he want?" Maeve asks, raising a brow. "Look, I wish I had more answers, I do. I've always been one step behind it. Look, I've never gotten there in time to save..." John looks down, unhappy. "All right so how do we find it.. before it hits again."

"There's signs. It took me a while to see the pattern but it's there in the days before these fires signs crop up in an area. Cattle deaths, temperature fluctations, electrical storms. And then I went back and checked...and..."

"These things happened in Lawrence." John nods, "A week before your mother died. And in Palo Alto... before Jessica. And these signs, they're starting again." John explains, Sam frowns. "Where?" He asks, "Salvation Iowa." As the words leave his lips, a knock sounds on the door. Immediately, everyone is up and weapons pointed; Maeve sighs, shaking her head and moves towards the door. "Babe." Dean hisses, she turns back to him with a small smile. "I'll be fine." She was a goddess anyway, turning back to the door she pulls it open. The moment it's open, the glass in her hand drops as the man smiles softly down at her. "Alec?" She breathes out, Sam's own voice coming out at the same time as the tall male pulls her into a hug. "Who the hell are you?" Dean asks, a jealous look crossing his face. Maeve pulls away with a small smile, wiping her tears as she turns to face her boyfriend. "He's my brother."

"Brother?!"

𝑻𝒉𝒆 π’ˆπ’“π’π’–π’‘ 𝒐𝒇 now five, all climb inside their vehicles after a hour of explanations. Alec explained he had been searching for Maeve for a while now, having come down from Olympus the moment she removed her first rune. John had grown pissed off at the newest addition, but Sam and Maeve were happy to have the male along. Maeve, for obvious reasons while Sam's were a little less obvious, but Maeve had a suspicion about it. Dean pouted slightly at the other male, having been annoyed with the man who didn't want to leave Maeve alone for long.

He was totally taking away his Maeve time!

He understood, if anyone did, it would be him; that was her brother, but at the same time; she was HIS girl. Dean sighs, running his hand down his face as he glances back to the duo in the backseat. They were talking quietly about something in Greek, Maeve seemed pissed; gesturing towards his runes. Dean could take a guess to what they were arguing about, he looks towards his brother who kept glancing to the backseat as well. A small smirk makes its way onto his lips, "Ah." Dean utters out, his voice low. Alec's things were in the trunk and his bike was in John's bed, albeit reluctantly.

Let's just say, having two Greek 'Gods' go against you in an argument is a total suck it up situation; especially when your own children are also against you.

John's truck speeds along a misty road, followed closely by the Impala. After a few moments, he pulls off to the side, the Impala follows and everyone springs out of their seats. Alec and Maeve both roll their eyes at his dramatics, although they both feel a little guilty when he punches the side of his truck. "God damn it!" He shouts out loud, "What is it?" Dean asks, raising a brow towards his father. "Son of a bitch." His father repeats again, leaving the other four confused. "What is it!?" Maeve snips in annoyance as she crosses her arms over her chest. "I just got a call from Caleb." Alec and Maeve look confused as hell, giving the brothers a glance. "Is he okay?" Dean asks, both brothers looking worried. "He's fine. Jim Murphy's dead." Sam steps up, looking saddened by the news. "Pastor Jim? How?" Maeve also looks slightly saddened by the news, having heard about him from the boys.

She knew they were friends with the now dead male, and it seemed like he was a big part of their world. Alec still looks confused, but manages to keep on track with the conversation. "His throat was slashed. He bled out. Caleb said they found traces of sulfur at Jim's place." Everyone grimaces at the news, Alec being the first one to speak up. "A demon." John nods and Dean raises a brow, "The Demon?" He breaths out, luckily Sam had filled Alec in on the way; having been more than happy to talk to the male once more. "I don't know. Could be he just got careless, he slipped up. Maybe the demon knows we're getting close." John sighs, placing his hands on his hips as he looks away. "What do we do?" Dean and Maeve ask together, watching the grumpy male. "Now, we act like every second counts. There's two hospitals and a health centre in this county. We split up, cover more ground. I want records. I want a list of every infant that's going to be six months old in the next week."

"Dad, that could be dozens of kids. How do we know which one's the right one?" The Greek siblings roll their eyes again; this man was a dick. "We check em all that's how. You got any better ideas?" Que another eye roll, "No, sir." John nods at them and they all turn back to their cars. John stops, leaning on his trunk, watching as Alec removes his back from the back, deciding he would ride the rest of the way on it. Dean turns back as he opens his door and pauses. "Dad?" John looks toward his son, an upset look on his face. "Yeah. It's Jim. You know, I can't..." His face hardens, "This ends, now. I'm ending it. I don't care what it takes." They all get back in their cars and pull back onto the road, speeding into the distance.

𝑨 π’‡π’†π’˜ 𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒔 𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒓, John pulls up in front of 'salvation Children's Hospital'. He opens the container between the seats and shuffled through the number of IDs there, selecting one and pinning it to his jacket.

Sam and Alec are sitting in a filing room, having arrived on Alec's bike. A nurse brings them another load of files, "Here you go, officers." She smiles at them, getting smiles back in response. "Thank you." They speaks at the same time, "You're welcome." They start copying the birth certificate information into their notebooks they had brought in.

In another place, a receptionist hands a file to a hospital worker, then looks down at her clipboard. She looks up again as Dean and Maeve walk in and pauses, looking around. She smiles at them when they turn to her desk, she immediately takes note of Dean's attractiveness and looks him up and down. Maeve raises her eyebrows, waiting for a reaction from Dean, wondering if he picked up on her own beauty. "Hi. Is there anything I can do for you?" She practically purrs, leaning forward to give them a nice view of her breasts. Dean looks around again, much to her dismay before he wraps his arm around Maeve's waist. "Yes, actually. That'd be great." He answers, smiling at the woman, making her temporarily forget her rejection. Dean holds up his ID, "We have a few questions." Maeve speaks up, a smile on her lips, slightly more smug than before.

...

Sam comes out of Salvation Medical Centre, flipping through his notebook, then cluthces his head as a vision hits him. Alec moves, grabbing ahold of him to keep him up right; shooting a glare towards anyone looking. The Yellow Eyed Demon is in a babies nursery. He flashes to a mother looking out the window, he hears a train, and then see's the demon again. As soon as the vision finishes and he can focus again, he quickly pulls out a map, with Alec watching him over his shoulder.

...

Later, Sam is in a park, checking his map again; Alec stands beside him, looking over another map. As they continue to look, Sam gets the vision flashes again. When it's over he realizes the house from the vision is in front of them. "What is it?" Alec asks, taking note of his new interest. The woman from his vision pushes a pram along the road while holding an umbrella. "It's her, and her baby." He breaths out, Alec looks in that direction and follows after the male, approaching the woman. "Hi. Here, let me hold that for you. You look like you don't need that anymore." Sam shoots the woman a smile, which almost makes Alec jealous that she was on the receiving end of it. "Oh. Thanks." She closes her umbrella while Sam holds her pram. Alex looks inside, "She's gorgeous. Is she yours?" He asks, not taking note of the blush on the woman's face; having found the short haired male more attractive. "Yeah." She breaths out, Sam scoffs slightly, before he smiles to the baby. "Oh wow, hi!" He looks to the mom, "Oh sorry, We're rude. I'm Alec, this is my boyfriend, Sam. We just moved in up the block."

Sam's eyes widen slightly when Alec snatches him by the waist and pulls him into his side, slipping his hand into Sam's back pocket. Yep, he was totally blushing, the woman smiles. "Hi. I'm Monica. This is Rosie." Both males smile down at the little girl who couldn't seem to keep her eyes off Alec. "Rosie? Hi Rosie." He coos out, she giggles back and reaches for him. "So, welcome to the neighbourhood." Monica smiles, Sam gives her one back, responding to the woman since Alec was busy with Rosie. "Thanks. She's such a good baby!" Alec coos out, looking between them. "I know, I mean she... she never cries. She just stares at everybody. Sometimes she looks at you and I swear it's... it's like she's reading your mind."

"What about you, Monica? Have you lived here long?"

"My husband and I, we bought our place just before Rosie was born."

"And how old's Rosie?"

"She's six months today. She's big right? Growing like a weed."

Alec watches Sam wince with a frown, his mind becoming distracted with discomfort. "Yeah. Monica..." Alec starts, moving slightly closer to Sam, just in case. "Yeah?" She asks, a small smile on her face. "Just ahhh, just take care of yourself okay?" Sam winces, "Yeah, you too, Alec, Sam. We'll see you around." As Monica turns to her house a station wagon pulls into the drive, honking. "There's Daddy!" Sam's vision returns again, quickly Alec is standing beside him, holding him upright. The clock in the bedroom stops, the nursery rhyme playing stops, a wind sweeps through. A black figure approaches the bed, Monica pushes the door open from the hallway and see's the figure standing over her daughter's bed.

"What are you..." He watches as the figure turns to her. She is pulled back to the wall and slides up it to the ceiling. Blood starts dripping from her stomach, just like his mother and girlfriend. "Rosie!" The room bursts into flame and Sam gasps, dropping to the ground.

𝑻𝒉𝒆 π’ˆπ’“π’π’–π’‘ 𝒐𝒇 π’‡π’Šπ’—π’† are inside the motel room once more; Maeve and Dean had the room next door while Sam, John and Alec shared the other; Sam making it clear that they didn't want to be in the same room as the couple. Sam sits at the table, rubbing his temples. Dean and John sit on the end of each bed, Maeve had taken to sitting on the kitchen counter as Alec sits across from Sam. When they all arrived, Sam finally told his father about his visions, before telling everyone about his most recent. John stares at his son his disbelief, "A vision." He utters out flatly, raising a brow. Sam winces, nodding towards his father. "Yes. I saw the demon burning a woman on the ceiling." Sam explains, Alec and Maeve watch as John squints in slight disgust. Maeve really wanted to hit the man, but knew it probably wasn't a good idea. "And you think this is going to happen to this woman you met because..."

"Because these things happen exactly the way I see them..." Sam says, about to explain, only for Dean to interrupt. "It started out as nightmares. Then it started happening while he was awake."

Dean rises and crosses to the counter behind Sam to get more coffee. He gives Maeve a small bump, kissing her on the lips; Alec grunting slightly at the sight. He still didn't know if he trusted the older brother, but he did trust Sam. "Yeah. It's like the closer I get to anything to do with the demon the stronger the visions get." John glares, "All right. When were you going to tell me about this?" Sam and Dean stop and turn to look at John, and Maeve bursts into laughter. The males stop to watch her, she almost immediately stops; her face pulling into a glare. Dean quickly speaks up to stop whatever was about to come out of her mouth. "We didn't know what it meant."

"All right, something like this starts happening to your brother, you pick up the phone and you call me." Maeve stands, slamming her cup down on the counter, and strides toward John. He stands, meeting her halfway, "Call you? Are you kidding me? Dean called you from Lawrence, jackass. Sam called you when he was dying and you know who saved him, me. I mean, getting you on the phone? We gotta better chance of winning the lottery, you prick. So, instead of lecturing, how baout you take the information and shut the hell up!" Maeve starts shouting, pressing her finger against John's chest to make her point; and pushing him back on the bed with a glare. The brothers wait anxiously for their father's reaction, but are quite surprised by one they receive. "You're right. Although I'm not too crazy about you getting in my face, right now. I'm sorry, boys." Maeve blinks, before bristling slightly; she really wanted to fight him. "Look guys, visions or no visions, fact is, we know the demon is coming tonight. And this family's gonna go through the same hell ya'll went through." Alec speaks up, giving a nod towards Sam, who nods back.

"No, they're not. No one is, ever again." Sam's phone rings, he sighs, moving to pick it up. "Hello?" There is a small pause, as Sam's face pulls up into one of disgust. "Who is this?" Maeve and Alec perk up, "Meg." The name causes, Dean and John to turn towards Sam. "Last time we saw you; you fell out of a window." Sam hisses, putting the demon on speaker phone. "Yeah, no thanks to you. That really hurt my feelings by the way. Hello, Maeve. Tell me, what are you, because for the life of me, I just can't seem to figure it out." Maeve blinks, before a small smirk rises to her lips. "Just your feelings? That was a seven-story drop." She replies, ignoring Meg's questioning.

"Lemme speak to your Dad, or is he already listening." Everyone looks towards John who shakes his head. "My Dad? I don't know where my Dad is..." Meg interrupts Sam, "It's time for the grown ups to talk, Sam, let me speak to him now. Privately." She hisses out, apparently no longer in the mood to play. Sam hestitates then hands the phone to John. "This is John." Silence echoes throughout the room. "I'm here." His face grows darker than it was as he slowly lowers his head in despair. "Caleb?" Sam and Dean react to the name instantly, going on alert. Alec and Maeve watch them with frowns, Alec in confusion since he didn't know who the man was to them; but Maeve knew. "You listen to me. He's got nothing to do with anything. You let him go." Another beat of silence, "I don't know what you're talking about." John finally utters out, the brothers moving into try and listen to the conversation.

"Caleb. Caleb!" John shouts, pushing past the boys as he starts to pace. His face dark as he listens to the demon's demands, "I'm gonna kill you, you know that?" Another pause, John is quiet, thinking. The boys are close by his side, while Alec and Maeve watch them.

"Okay...I said okay, I'll bring you the colt...It's gonna take me about a days drive to get there...That's impossible. I can't get there in time and I can't just carry a gun on the plane." He blinks, slowly pulling the phone away from his ear with a frown.

Ten minutes later, John had explained what she wanted and what happened. He had started packing the moment he started to explain, which lead to the others to do the same. "So, you think Meg is a demon?" Sam asks, Maeve clears her throat with a nod. "She is being possessed, Alec and I can see their faces and we've both seen hers." Alec nods in agreement, "She's been possessed since you met her, I didn't say anything because I was trying to figure out what she wanted from you; guess now we know." Sam nods to Alec, silently saying he appreciated the fact that he was watching out for him even when he didn't know him. "What do we do?" Dean asks, raising a brow towards his father. "I'm going to Lincoln." John replies, "What?" Sam and Dean ask together. "It doesn't look lilke we have a choice. If I don't go, a lot of people die, our friends die." Well, he didn't have to go alone, Maeve and Alec think together; giving each other deadpan looks.

"Dad, the demon is coming tonight. For Monica and her family. That gun is all we got, you can't just hand it over." Sam insists, John rolls his eyes. "Who said anything about handing it over. Look, besides us and a couple of vampires no one's really seen the gun, no one knows what it looks like." Maeve, Alec and Dean catch onto what he was saying. "So what, you're just going to pick up a ringer at a pawn shop?" Dean asks, crossing his arms; John shrugs with a smirk. "Antique store." Maeve and Alec both smirk, "You're going to hand Meg a fake gun and hope she doesn't notice?" Dean asks with a scoff, "That's not gonna work." Alec and Maeve speak together, "Look, as long as it's close, she shouldn't be able to tell the difference." John sighs, "We can." Maeve speaks up, raising a brow at the man. "She's right, it's gotta a power we can sense. You could be right, she might not be able to sense it, but we definitely can."

"Yeah, and if she doesn't, for how long? What happens when she figures it out?"

"I just... I just need to buy a few hours, that's all."

"You mean for Dean and me. You want us to stay here, and kill this demon by ourselves?"

"No, Sam. I want to stop losing people we love. I want you to go to school, I want Dean to have a home. I want... I want Mary alive. It's just... I just want this to be over."

An hour and a half later, Alec, Sam and John stand at the back of his truck, checking weapons. The Impala comes toward them, with Dean and Maeve getting out. "You get it?" John asks, Dean pulls a brown paper bag out of his pocket and hands it to John. John pulls out an antique gun, "You know this is a trap, don't you. That's why Meg wants you to come alone?" Maeve asks, raising a brow and crossing her arms. "I can handle her. I got a whole arsenal loaded. Holy water, Mandaic, amulets..." John starts listing off the shit he had packed. "Dad..." Dean starts, Maeve looks towards him with a sympathetic look. "What?" John asks, turning to face his oldest son. "Promise me something." Dean insists, "What's that?" John asks, slightly nodding his head towards Dean. "This thing goes south just...get the hell out. Don't get yourself killed all right, you're no good to us dead." John lets out a small chuckle, before speaking. "Same goes for you." There is a long pause, "All right listen to me. They made the bullets special for this colt. There's only four of them left. Without them this gun is useless. You make every shit count."

"Yes, sir." Sam replies, a determined look on his face. "Been waiting a long time for this fight. Now, it's here and I'm not gonna be in it. It's up to you boys, now. It's your fight, you finish this. You finish what I started. Understand?" John hands Dean the colt. "We'll see you soon, Dad." John gives them a tiny smile, "I'll see you later."

John gets in the truck and leaves, the group of four stand watching him pull away. "Later." Dean breaths out, his hand slipping into Maeve's as John drive away.

𝑴𝒂𝒆𝒗𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑨𝒍𝒆𝒄 π’”π’Šπ’• in the back seat of the impala, the brothers in front with the Colt between them. They watch through the window as Monica and her husband finish dinner. "Maybe we could tell em it was a gas leak. Might get em out of the house for a few hours." Dean scoffs as Maeve rolls her eyes with a groan. "Yeah and how many times has that actually worked for us?" Maeve speaks up, causing Sam to sigh. "Yeah." He thinks some more, "We could always tell em the truth." Dean just looks at Sam for a long moment, one eyebrow raised. Maeve and Alec watch them, "Nah!" They all speak together, Dean shooting Alec a grin from the front. "I know I know. I just...with what's coming for these folks..." Sam starts, "Sam, we only got one move and you know it, all right? We gotta wait for that demon to show itself and then we get it before it gets them." They both look back at the house for a while.

Ten minutes later, Sam speaks up again. "I wonder how Dad's doing." He utters out loud, "I'd feel a lot better if we were there backing him up." Dean grumbles in response, Maeve and Alec had begun a game of Silent Movie. "I'd feel a lot better if he were here backing us up." They keep watching the house, another few mints pass by before Sam grows fidgety. "This is weird." He states, "What?" Dean asks, looking towards his brother with a raised brow. "After all of these years we're finally here. It doesn't seem real." Dean nods, "We just gotta keep our heads and do our job, like always." Sam scoffs, "Yeah, but this isn't like always." Another moment of silence as Dean nods. "True." Dean turns to see Maeve kicking her brother's ass in the game, a small smile slipping onto his lips. "Dean...ah...I wanna thank you." Dean looks towards his brother, confused as hell. "For what?" He asks, "For everything. You've always had my back you know? Even when I couldn't count on anyone I could always count on you. And ah...I don't know I just wanted to let you know, Just in case..." Dean interrupts him with wide eyes. "Whoa whoa whoa, are you kidding me?"

"What?" Sam cocks his head, trying to act innocent. "Don't say just in case something happens to you. I don't wanna hear that freaking speech man. Nobody's dying tonight. Not us, not that family, nobody. Except that demon. That evil son of a bitch ain't getting any older than tonight, you understand me?" Dean gets out, and walks away; Sam wincing slightly at the look he could feel being burned into the back of his head. A minute later, Dean comes back, climbing inside as he holds his phone to his ear. "Dad's not answering." He tells his brother, "Maybe, Meg was late. Maybe, cell reception's bad." Alec and Maeve give one another a look, that's not what happened at all. "Yeah, well."

The radio starts chattering with static. "Dean wait. Listen." Sam rolls the dial on the radio, hearing more static come and go. The wind picks up and the lights in the house flicker. Dean turns to look at Sam, both siblings quickly moves to get out of the vehicle. "It's coming." Maeve breaths out, as they jump out of the car. Rushing up to the house, Dean uses a card to slide the lock on the front door open and they enter silently. As they approach the lounge, Sam first, Dean is confronted by Monica's husband. He swings a bat at Dean's head and misses, smashing a lamp. Maeve instinctively spin kicks the man back, causing him to go flying down the entry way. He grunts, moving to sit up as Dean looks towards Maeve with wide eyes. "I've never seen that move before, damn, sweetheart." She winks, "Get out of my house!" Dean quickly closes in and grapples with him, grabbing the bat. "Get out of my house!"

"Please please. Mr Holden please."Dean easily takes contol, swinging him against the wall and holding the bat across his throat. "Be quiet and listen to me. Be quiet and listen. We are trying to help you." They try to be quiet, but it's too late. "Charlie? Is everything okay?" Monica asks, moving into view. "Monica get the baby!" Holden shouts, Sam spins towards Monica who is at the top of the stairs, speaking at the same time. "Don't go in the nursery!" He moves to rush up stairs, but Holden shouts and grabs him. "You stay away from her!" Alec yanks him away, forcing him back into Dean's arms who holds him in a tight grip. He struggles to get away from Dean as Alec moves forward and punches him, knocking him unconcious, "Sorry, but your in the way." Alec breaths out as Dean grunts, shooting the man an annoyed look before he puts him over his shoulder in a fireman's lift. Maeve rushes towards the door, opening it for Dean to rush the man outside; while Sam heads upstairs.

...

Upstairs, in her nightgown as she was in Sam's vision, pushes the door to the nursery open. A dark figure stands over Rosie's cot, "What are you..."

The figure raises his hand and Monica is flung back against the wall. Sam races up the stairs and along the corridor as Monica slides up the wall and onto the ceiling. He enters the room and the dark figure turns to him, yellow eyes shining. Sam hesitates, frozen and staring. "Rosie!" Sam raises the Colt and pulls the trigger. The demon disappears into smoke while Monica, screaming, falls to the floor. "Where the hell did it go!?" Sam shouts in anger, "My baby!" Monica stands, trying to move toward the cot, and is caught by Sam. "My baby!" She continues to fight him, "No wait!" Sam shouts, pulling her back. "MY BABY!" Dean and Maeve run past them to the cot. "Take her and go!" Maeve shouts back, Alec quickly follows behind, passing Sam with a nod. "Rosie!"

"Come on."

"My baby!" Sam forces her out of the room, "Dean's got her." Maeve and Dean rush into the room with the crying child, Maeve quickly grabs a blanket and hands it to Dean who grabs the young girls and pulls her up as the cot explodes into flame, "Go!" Alec shouts, pulling out a pen; and instead of burning off a rune, he applies a new one. Quickly, holding up his hands, a white shield appears as Dean and Maeve rush out of them. He then races out of the room after pushing the fire out, and the nursery window explodes outwards, flames shooting out. Monica appears, in the doorway guided by Sam. Both are coughing, and Holden staggers up from where he was lying on the grass.

"You get away from my family."

"No, Charlie, don't. They saved us."

The trio runs out to join them, Dean holding the baby; after clearing his sister, who stands close to Dean; Alec makes his way over to Sam. Monica pulls her daughter from Dean's arms, as she starts to cry. "I mean they saved us." Holden moves forward; putting his arms around both of them. They turn to the group of four, "Thank you." Manila breaths out, devastated, Sam and Dean turn back to the burning house. The demon is silhouetted in the burning nursery, standing completely still. He was watching the Greek siblings as they slowly turn to face him as well. Each of their eyes flashing their respective colors, Sam glares, and moves to start back inside. "It's still in there!" He yells, Dean quickly yanks him back. "Sam. Sam, no." Alec moves to hold him back as well as Maeve continues to glare towards the damned thing. "Alec, Dean let me go, it's still in there." Sam shouts in anger, "No. It's burning to the ground, it's suicide." Dean replies, a worried look on his face as he takes in Maeve and the staring contest she seemed to be having with the demon.

Sam spins towards his brother with an angry look, "I don't care!" Sam shouts, "I do!" They both look back up as the flames rise again and the demon disappears.

𝑨𝒏 𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒓, Dean paces while holding the phone to his ear, listening to it ring out. Sam sits on the bed, Alec stands behind him as Maeve sits at the table once more. Dean growls, frustrated with his father. "Come on Dad, answer your phone, damn it." He hangs up and turns to the duo, "Somethings wrong." Sam stares at the wall, giving a great bitchface. "You hear me? Somethings wrong." Dean insists, finally gaining his brother's attention, who blinks then looks up to him. "If you had just let me go in there, I coulda ended all this." Maeve and Dean both scoff, "Sam, the only thing you would have ended was your life." Maeve says, raising a brow towards the youngest Winchester. "You don't know that." Sam insists back, shooting her a pointed look. Dean sighs, walking toward the bed. "So what, you're just willing to sacrifice yourself, is that it?"

Sam stands up, "Yeah. Yeah, you're damn right I am." Alec rolls his eyes, he could tell already that the Winchester brothers would be annoying like this; so ready to sacrifice theirselves despite the people they are leaving behind. "Well, that's not going to happen, not as long as I'm around." Dean utters out, a small amount of smugness in his voice, despite the situation. "What the hell are you talking about Dean, we've been searching for this demon our whole lives. It's the only thing we've ever cared about." Sam snarls towards his brother with a glare. "Sam, I wanna waste it. I do. Okay? But it's not worth dying over." Dean insisted, he almost couldn't believe his own words. A year ago, if you'd have asked him was it worth the sacrifice, he would've said hell yes; but now, with his brother and Maeve.

He just couldn't.

"What?" Sam asks, turning to his brother with a scoff. "I mean it. If hunting this demon means getting yourself killed then I hope we never find the damn thing." Dean replies, tears appearing in his eyes.

"That thing killed Jess. That thing killed Mom."

"You said yourself once, that no matter what we do, they're gone, and they're never coming back."

Sam totally loses it, grabs Dean and shoves him hard against the wall. Maeve grabs Alec to hold him back, shaking her head. This was between them. "Don't you say that, not you! Not after all this don't you say that." Dean pauses, giving Maeve a look who in turn nods back with a small smile. "Sam look. The three of us...that's all we have...and it's all I have. Sometimes I feel like I'm barely holding it together man...and without you or Dad..." Dean stops, giving Sam a moment to nod in agreement. Neither of the Greek being upset about not being included, this was their moment, their enemy, their family drama. The only thing they could do is help along the way. "Dad." Sam lets go and turns away, walking across the room. Dean stays where he is, taking deep breaths. He turns back with tears in his eyes, "He should have called by now. Try him again." Dean raises his phone.

...

In a dark unknown area, John's phone sits on a bench, ringing. Meg wanders over and picks it up. She looks at the screen, smiles to herself and answers. "You boys really screwed up this time." Over the phone, Dean's voice replies in anger. "Where is he?" The anger almost sent shivers down Meg's spine, almost.

"You're never going to see your father again."
