Chapter Four – Wayward Brother

Sonic told no one about his origins. His family. There were many reasons. The main one being the Chaos Sorcery, Magic, but another, rather bizarrely, was legacy. He, himself, had one following him around, as well as him rapidly creating one of his own. Sonic was the son of Jules Hedgehog, the World-Famous Air Speed Racer, and his father, being a very well known and extremely popular hero, in his time, was also arrogant and rude. Sonic hated him, and wanted nothing to do with him. He was a incredible cruel father, who tried to drown him, choosing Sukko over him.

But unbeknown to him, Tails had been digging, curious, and frustrated at Sonic's lack of answers. The young, Fox cub with a unique mutation of two tails instead of one. He had mostly yellow-orange fur with white fur around his muzzle, front torso, and the tips of his tails. He had blue eyes. He wore white gloves and red shoes with white toes. He knew of Sukko and the Magic, being adopted into the family, but wanted more, as he didn't know everything and with the help of the Chaotix Detective Agency, they finally find out the truth about Jules. They are gobsmacked, and can't understand why Sonic would hide this. Unfortunately, the information exploded like wildfire and word gets out, but no one believes him that he hasn't inherited his father ability to fly. Super-Flight. No, his twin brother Sukko has that, and no matter what Sonic says, he is deemed a liar, as no one listened.

He doesn't mention his twin brother, at Sukko's request. The Sorcerer wanted privacy, especially from his extremely clingy, and very nosey friends. But Sonic growled, he was speaking the truth, they should believe him, no matter what, and unfortunately, they don't. But after months of persuasion, Sonic refuses to demonstrate a power he simply doesn't have. Suddenly, his friends gang up on him. They desperately needed the Blue Blur to show them all his cards for the fight against Eggman, and him keeping something back, especially this big, wasn't helping anyone.

In fact, it was costing lives, as Tails was starting planning counter attacked against Eggman, with the Super-Flight in mind, having no idea that Sukko actually had it. He'd not been told, and still, the Blue Blur denied he had the power. Tails growled. What! Why? If Sonic wasn't going to show them the Super-Flight, then they were going to force it out of him. Finally, Tails had had enough. Angry and with the help from Amy, they catch the Blue Blur off guard, as things get out hand. Sonic is bound and gaged, and thrown out of a plane, at thirty-five thousand feet.

He screamed, absolutely panicking. What was going on? Why would Tails do this? He desperately tries to undo his ties, but fails as he falls rapidly back to Mobius. Tumbling over and over, he cries his heart out, as the ground starts rapidly coming up towards him. Without a proper landing, from this height, he going to fall to his death. Suddenly, there was a roar of sound, as the Sonic Boom explodes in the sky all around him, followed by the vapour cone, as at the last minute, Sonic is plucked from the very air, by another Blue Hedgehog, in a long black coat, with superb control of the air. Super-Flight.

Sukko.

Sonic screamed, grabbing and hugging his twin brother with everything he had, just as Shadow runs him, attempting to catch them from underneath. But Sukko stopped in mid-air and then goes soaring skywards, taking the Blue Blur with him. Sonic just crying his heart out, having just had the biggest fright of his life. But Sukko growled. He was beyond angry. His friends should have known better, as he takes his precious twin back to the Penthouse. After several days, Sonic finally calms down and explains what happened, but was still shaking. Sukko roared. Well, if they want Super-Flight, they can have it. One-by-one, other then Shadow, who actually tried to help, Sukko silently snuck up on and then grabbed, out of nowhere, behind his cloak of invisibility, each of his twin's so-called friends, by the ankle and roaring skywards.

He dropped them from very high up in the sky, much higher then thirty-five thousand feet. He even bound's Tails's tails together to make a point. He knew about Sonic's brother, but rather stupidly, didn't the connect between his uncle and the Super-Flight. Thinking about it, it was extremely obvious. Sukko then toyed with them, without revealing himself, the whole way down, only catching them at the absolute last minute, scaring them all to death. Sukko growled. Serves them right, making sure the intensely feeling of fear remained.

But Sonic was left very wary of everyone, when he finally returned to the front line against Eggman. He was still needed there, but he no longer stayed with Tails, he found somewhere else. Sonic felt desperately betrayed by his friends. He'd spoken the truth. He had done all along, and they believed him now. They knew someone in Sonic's family had Super-Flight and had rescued him, but that still didn't know who. Unfortunately, they had lost the Blue Blur's trust. They had ganged up on him, bound and gagged him and almost killed him. His family had saved him, and now that was where his true loyalties lay. This was going to take months to rebuild.

Tails cried. He was forgiven but it was awkward for a very long time, but finally the bridges were rebuilt, and the friendship was remade, but Sonic was still somewhat nervous. The twin brother wasn't mentioned, but Sonic suspected Sukko had done yet another memory wipe on his friends, so he was no longer known to them again. He heaved, eyeing them up. Sonic growled. Just leave the Sorcerer alone. It was obvious that Sukko didn't want to interact with his friends, and if he did, it was on the Sorcerer's terms, not the Blue Blur's nosey friends. Regardless, he said nothing. He knew better then to push Sukko into doing something he didn't want to do. How upset he would be, having done it before, when they had argued in the past, over some of the Sorcerer's previous antics.

Such as the fact that Sukko used to be a licensed professional male escort. It was not something he openly advertised, as the twin brother of the Hero of Mobius, but it wasn't something he was ashamed of either. He didn't do it for the money, he did it because he enjoyed it. A lot. He was a lover, not a fighter, and despite being one of Mobius's best sparers, he didn't enjoy fighting wars. The reason for him being a lover, was entirely down to his late wife, Martha. As he went into medical school, he slept his way entirely through it and still came out top of the class.

He exploded, going crazy, mating with anything that moved, male, female, any species, he just didn't care. At medical school, was where he acquired the nickname, Rocket Tonic, as he was extremely good at giving someone at very good time. Mainly because he was telepathic, and could blow people's brains out. The ultimate peak of telepathic pleasure. But when Sukko qualified as a Doctor and realised just out intensely stressful and emotionally straining the job in the emergency room was, he really needed a way to destress. Sukko's trip through Medical School, was all about how he hid the Chaos Sorcery, masquerading it as Chaos Heal and then into the Emergency Room of the Robotropolis County General Hospital, where he still remains, now in charge, the senior Doctor. But he loved the job, but needed a way to relax afterwards and quickly. Well, his love of mating was a way, but he didn't want to pay for it, and he didn't fancy walking the streets for it either.

However, he wasn't that desperate. But becoming a professional male escort was an answer. He, very discretely, did the training, and got qualified, but getting the license, was a total hassle. He had to prove to the Mobian Authorities, he knew what he was doing, and there was so many hoops to jump through, that Sukko almost didn't do it. The admin was that uncomfortable. But finally, after many months, and still keeping it a secret from everyone, and hiding the fact that he was Sonic's brother, Sukko finally got his license, and, wow, did it open doors for him.

It was totally worth it, as Sukko now had the freedom to destress as much as he wanted no matter how bad work got, and getting clients was no problem. For years, he did this and no one at the hospital know. Sonic, however did, but Sukko convinced him, it was fine. The license, influencing hugely. That was another reason why he got it. Sonic wouldn't have approved otherwise. Also, having a license as a professional male escort, meant that you legally had to be looked after, and if a client abused you, you could get them arrested and into serious trouble.

It was a backup for him, if things got out of hand, but as a powerful Sorcerer, it never did. But as his career in the hospital progressed from the Emergency Medical Physician, to the senior Doctor, to consultant surgeon, he was finding less time after work for the bedroom antics. He was just too tired, and as soon as he met Shadow, he quit completely. The Ultimate Lifeform was happy to give him all the distressing he could ever need.

But Sukko's license as professional male escort, the Rocket Tonic, amused the Ultimate Lifeform hugely. He was stunned, at first, but once he got to know Sukko, then yes, he understood. But Sukko's license was still active, certainly as far was the Mobian Authorities were concerned and Shadow quickly realised it was also very valuable.

The Underworld. They ran on drugs and prostitutes, and having access to a licensed professional escort, got Shadow places. He had been tasked by G.U.N. on taking down Empire City's underworld, and Sukko's license was his way in. But he had no intention of taking his new beloved with him, so he had, with permission, have someone else masquerade as the Rocket Tonic and escort him on the missions. They did stuff, strictly professionally, but Sukko giggled. Yes, Shadow was having fun and in the end, that was all he was bothered about. Shadow did win against the underworld, fully disbanding it, but he it did significantly increased his love for him.

So much so, that it got the both of them, in serious trouble. Sukko really didn't like to advertise himself. So when he got into a relationship with Shadow, Sonic thought nothing of it, when he finally found out, and then he just went on with life. Sukko, however, spent a lot of time with Shadow, on the Ark, as in the bedroom. Like couples do.

Unfortunately, the Ark got hacked by G.U.N. and they were seen. With no knowledge of the brother, Sukko was quickly mistaken for Sonic, and basically, the crud hit the fan. There was outrage at G.U.N. as well as anger, that the Blue Blur, someone they all looked up to, would do this, and soon, it filtered down to his friends. Rouge, and the Chaotix saw it first, followed by Knuckles, then the Rabbits and Amy. The Pink Hedgehog hit the roof, threatening to go after Shadow, until Rouge pointed out that, that would get her killed. He'd do her in, and think nothing of it. Soon, they were gathered in Tails' House.

It was a large house with two large bedrooms. One each for Sonic and Tails, and a bathroom upstairs, and a large open-plan lounge-kitchen-diner downstairs which was in a large L shape, the small kitchen was set towards the back of the house and the lounge towards the front. There wasn't exactly a dining room there, but a large breakfast bar which was doubled as kitchen work surface. The lounge took up all of the front of the house, along the longest edge of the L shaped room and there were sofas everywhere. All misshaped, all different sizes and colours. There was enough space to sit ten to twenty people. To the side of the kitchen was the staircase, which run up through the centre of the house and the other side of that was another large room. It was separate from the open- plan living space and could only be entered and exited by a single door. It was Tails' Workshop. Sonic had not idea, what when on inside that room most of the time, but it was very grateful of it, the inventions that came out of there had saved his life on more then one occasion.

Even though this was technically Tail's house and Sonic was a permanent guest in his 'guest' room, Knuckles was another semi-permanent guest who could often be found lounging on one of Tails' sofas. He was an Echidna with red fur that covers most of his body, peach skin on his muzzle, a white crescent-shaped patch of fur on his chest, and purple eyes. He had seven deadlock-like spines around the sides and back of his head and a medium-sized, tri- crooked tail. Knuckles wore red and yellow shoes, each with green cuffs and a grey, sextuple-bolted plate on top. He wore large, white, mitten-like gloves with sock-like cuffs and two spiked knuckles on each hand. But the Fox did get a 'hell of lot of visitors' in Sonic's opinion, as almost all of their counter attack plans against Eggman were always derived at Tails' House.

But Sonic and the Fox were out of town, but Amy, immediately ending it with the Blue Blur vanishing. The following day, Sonic shows up looking worried, unable to find Amy. Tails can't find her either, and after a search, she in seen in bed, doing the deed, probably for the first time, with another male Hedgehog.

What?

This utterly devastated Sonic, who leaves crying, as Tails was very confused. The two of them had spent the previous day, setting up a romantic picnic, somewhere beautiful, so Sonic, using Sukko's late wife's engagement ring he'd given him, to propose to her.

But the Blue Blur disappeared going back to his brother's place, giving Sukko back the ring, crying his heart out in his bedroom. The Sorcerer frowned. What's going on? Amy had been all over Sonic three days ago, why the sudden change, as the Blue Blur won't forgive her now. It was through. Their relationship was over.

However, Rouge confronted Tails, extremely angry with the situation. She was a Bat with white fur, tan skin, teal eyes with eyelashes, and a curvy figure. She has large pointy ears, small fangs, a small black nose on her muzzle with a pink lipstick, a short pointy tail, and a pair of dark purple wings on her back. Only her head appears to have fur, which flares out into six points at the back. Rouge usually wore powder blue eyeshadow and pink lipstick. Her typical attire consists of a black, skin-tight, strapless unitard with a pink, heart-shaped chest-plate with white trim, along with long white gloves and high-heeled boots with pink cuffs. Her boots also have grey soles and feature pink hearts on the toes. She squealed.

"But Sonic has been seen in bed with Shadow." She squealed, to the utter shock of everyone. The Fox frowned.

"What? I don't believe that for a second." He spat. But then he saw the footage, as squirmy as it was, Tails giggled. "Oh, so that's who Uncle Sukko's new boyfriend is." He sniggered. He'd heard he'd found someone, but didn't know who it was.

But seeing Shadow, he wasn't that surprised. Sukko had, had a crush on him for years and Shadow swung both ways, so it was simply a matter of time before they found each other. Everyone gasped, as Rouge gulped.

"Wait? Sonic's one of identical twins?" She asked. Tails nodded.

"Yeah. Eggman knows about him. It's just Uncle Sukko doesn't fight on the front time. He's a Doctor." He hissed. But the Fox also growled, straight at the Bat. "Whomever Shadow takes to his bed, is his and my Uncle's business and none of yours, and when the Ultimate Lifeform eventually finds out that his Ark had been hacked, the person who did it, will probably die." Tails giggled. "Did you really mistake one twin for the other? Uncle Sukko is covered in tattoos, wore different shoes, and constantly in a coat, either a black one, or the white one of a Doctor. It's clear to see in the footage. In fact, it was very obvious when you know." He added.

Suddenly, everyone gulped in pure guilt. They had all made a grave error. It was that mistake, that caused Amy to run out on Sonic, and now, with her new boyfriend. Upon finding out about the Blue Blur, he'd promptly dumped her. Now she was alone with no idea what to do. Tails shook his head, he heaved at her.

"After this betrayal, Amy, I doubt Sonic will come back, especially when he finds out. In fact, now that Shadow's part of the family, you're going to be incredible lucky if he doesn't kill you over this, because you've upset the Blue Blur so badly." But Tails gulped. "What might change things is if your willing to accept the brother and Shadow, then Sonic, may take you back." He added, but Amy hit the roof, growling hard.

"What? No way. That so-called brother... It's not natural." She spat, not believing him. But Tails roared at her.

"Not natural? Says the girl who immediately stormed out on the best thing that ever happened to her, without even hearing all sides of the argument. Really, Amy, some friend, you are." He hissed. The girl went white and gulped, feeling very sorrowful. She was a pink-furred Hedgehog with green eyes and peach skin on her muzzle and arms. She had a small black nose and no back spines. Her five short head quills point downwards, somewhat resembling a bob cut. She had three spikes for a fringe on her head, and a short tail. She wore a red, sleeveless, backless dress with white trim, tall red boots with a white stripe down the centre and white cuffs, a red hairband, and white wrist- length gloves with gold bracelets for cuffs. But Tails sighed as he showed her evidence, video footage of the twins together, she just broke down crying. She screwed up. All she could do, was apologise and hope she was forgiven. She was, but Sonic growled, when he finally returned.

"Your an idiot, you know." He spat. "And now, I don't trust you, anymore." He hissed, but then heaved. "But if you still want 'us' as it were, then we're starting the friendship again, from scratch." He growled.

It was brutal, but understandable. But Rouge heaved and hard, rounding on the Blue Blur.

"This brother of yours. Can we meet him?" She asked, hoping to take the attention off Amy. Sonic heaved, as he smirked.

"You do realise, your opening one serious can of worms by doing this. If you think I'm bad, Sukko is about a hundred times worse. That's why I've never introduced you." He giggled, and then heaved. "Pride is coming to Westopolis. He'll be there."

They all looked at each other.

Pride?

Normally, Sukko hated parties. He disliked crowds intensely. However, there was one party a year, he'd go nuts for, and that was Pride, the L.B.G.T. annual celebration. Being L.B.G.T., and a very active member of the community, Sukko was all over it. Normally, Pride had been held in Robotropolis, since it's inception, a decade earlier, and they had been desperate to expand it to other cities. However, they had received a lot of resistance against the idea, as being L.B.G.T. was still considered taboo, and the community received a lot of abuse over it. That had eased a lot since Sukko joined the cause, and regularly threw his powerful weight behind it.

Sukko was a ruthlessly powerful Sorcerer, with an impressive array of skills, especially in Chaos Sorcery. His incredible Magical casts included the techniques of Force-Field Generation, (and the slight variation on that, Disintegration, which was a shockwave exploded of a force-field wave that vaporised anything metallic.) Illusions, Invisibility, Telekinesis, Pyrokinesis, Telepathy, Conjuring and Healing. The Super-Flight was a separate Chaos Power entirely and the Orbing was from his White-lighter grandfather, a Guardian angel sent down from the heavens. This made Sukko a White- lighter-Sorcerer Hybrid. More commonly known as a Halfbreed. The twins maternal grandfather was a White-lighter A pure one. He came from the heavens to guide his maternal grandmother who was a Sorcerer, and they fell in love, stayed and had children,

breaking all the rules. But Sukko hardly ever used any his powers nowadays. He was of the believe that, it wasn't what powers you had that made you who you were, it was how you used them, that mattered.

But Sonic just giggled. He also enjoyed Pride, but for a completely different to Sukko. He wasn't a member of the L.B.G.T. community, but was considered a friend, and played his guitar in the band, alongside Manic, on the drums and they did it for one reason only. In support of Sukko, and that voice. Considered one of the best on Mobius, Sukko's was spectacular. Beautiful and clear, he had the most stunning singing voice.

Deep, male, and melodious. It was in absolutely pitch perfect, and superbly in tune, the operatic arias he regularly sung, was done flawlessly. He also could belt it, especially against Sonic on guitar, going full Metal Opera, and the only time the illusive King of Stealth did it, was at Pride, and the Sorcerer was the singular reason Pride was so popular. Everyone there wanted to hear him sing.

But this year, Pride was going on tour. For the first time ever, it was being held in Westopolis. It was causing controversy, but the L.B.G.T. community just didn't care, and the huge excitement built up. Several of his friends, especially Amy and Knuckles objected, but Sonic just said nothing. The cameras and the press were going to be all over it, Sukko was going to be seen. It was going to explode. Sonic heaved.

Time for the world to know. Or so Sonic thought. But Sukko had other ideas. As a Sorcerer, he been working on incredibly powerful telepathic cast, to do through the cameras, and media, and on the public in general. One that heavily altered perception. So, Sukko would be seen and heard at Pride, but no one would actually register whom they were looking at. They wouldn't catch on to the fact that Sukko was Sonic's brother, and by the following morning, everything about him would have been forgotten. It was a cast he used a lot, to allow him to hide in plain sight. Pride was going to be no different.

On the day Pride landed, 'Celebrating The Different', it's slogan, Westopolis did indeed explode, with the biggest party in it's entire history. It took Westopolis and the whole of Mobius by storm. Sukko was indeed all over it, taking the lead, and to everyone's surprise, so was Sonic, as he talked to the cameras, press and media. He heaved.

"Welcome to Pride." He giggled, but the Wolf news correspondent frowned.

"Er, Sonic, we didn't think you swung in that direction." She wondered, but the Blue Blur shook his head, smiling hard.

"I don't, so don't worry, Ladies." He admitted, raising both eyebrows to the camera, grinning inanely. The Wolf news correspondent looked relieved. But the Blue Blur smiled. "But I am good friends with the L.B.G.T. Community, so I'm actually here as part of the band." He grinned. Suddenly, he waved his goodbye, and disappeared to the make-shift stage that had been set up. Grabbing his guitar, no Manic as he didn't leave Robotropolis, as Eggman was still around, but that didn't matter, he musically lit up that stage, with his exquisite guitar playing.

He was good. Excellent, in fact, and the huge crowd went nuts. Then he came, microphone in hand, singing his heart out, as Sukko came on stage, to an enormous cheer from the crowd. Three-quarters of the people there had travelled with Pride to Westopolis, but that didn't matter, the resulting party was epic. When the twins, play with Manic on stage they are 'The Underground', but when it's just Sonic and Sukko, they are 'The Brothers Blue', and their slogan was splashed across the screen behind them, as they owned that stage. Especially Sukko, his long coat, usually black, was now blazing vertical stripes in Pride's rainbow colours. They sang everything from Metal Opera to the crowd favourites, including Pride's own theme, as the twins got the whole of Westopolis singing, to the stunned looks from everyone.

The party lasted all day and night, and even Shadow showed. Sukko, grabbed him, dragged him on stage, to massive cheering, and promptly kissed him, in front of everyone, to huge laughter from Sonic. It was quite late, and there was a lot of alcohol flowing at this point. But the whole world saw it. Sonic rolled his eyes. He didn't care. Not anymore. By the morning, Pride was gone, a huge success, and Westopolis was feeling a little worse for wear. Sonic's friends tracked him down in Westopolis, cleaning the place up afterwards, but Sukko was making short work of it, with his Telekinesis. Soon the job was done, and Sukko left, back to day job as a Doctor, and his quiet life, Shadow following him. But Sonic's friends all saw the brother, but no one seemed to remember it. Sonic rolled his eyes. Yet another memory wipe. But the Blue Blur swore. So much for the reveal. Sukko still in charge, like always. In the end, the decided not to push it again. To let his brother, from now on, make the choice. Regardless, he just shrugged.

But Amy still didn't trust him. She constantly wanted to know where he was and what he was doing, all of the time. The distrust got so bad that she got the Chaotix Detective Agency to follow and tail Sonic. At first, they refused, respecting the Blue Blur's privacy, but she offered them so much money, that they reluctantly agreed, being broke. She wanted to investigate what Sonic was doing in Westopolis.

One, he'd regularly seen in and around the city, but not running around, just ambling the different shops, acting normal. Ok, weird, and two, he been seen a lot with Shadow, them somewhat friendly. The Sukko / Shadow sleeping together incident, apparently forgotten, as the Sorcerer pulling his weight on the issue. But for the long time hardcore rivals, this was unheard of. Something was going on. So they spied on him. For several months, nothing happened, until one early evening, Sonic and Shadow were seen causally walking down the street, chatting, oblivious to the fact they were being followed. Suddenly, they turned and headed down a secluded street and an old, but very well kept bar.

The Chaotix gulped. They knew of that bar, and it's owner, Charlie, but had never been in. For reputation reasons. It was The Dog and Duck, and it was Westopolis's local L.B.G.T. bar. Neither Hedgehog seemed fazed by this, as Shadow opened the door for the Blue Blur and they both went in. Unable to stomach the possibilities, the Chaotix left, without even going into the bar themselves, to see that was going on. But the truth was, that Sonic and Shadow weren't in a relationship themselves, but that Shadow was actually engaged to the Blue Blur's eccentric twin brother, Sukko.

The Sorcerer constantly hung around the L.B.G.T. bars. Shadow's relationship with Sukko, had consequently improved his rivalry with Sonic, to the point that now they were actually now friends. Both Sonic and Shadow were extremely close to Sukko, and if they wanted to spend time with the Sorcerer, The Dog and Duck was the place to go. Sonic didn't really care who saw him, and soon, neither did Shadow. Sonic's family had been so good to him, that to hell with everyone else.

The Chaotix tried to keep what they had seen to themselves, but failed, as Amy found out and just exploded. She saw it as, yet another, complete and utter betrayal, but as both Blaze and Rouge, especially with Shadow involved, better to ask then to jump to conclusions. But Amy wouldn't listen, and ran out of Tails' House and straight for the L.B.G.T. bar, the others running after her. Sonic, Shadow and Sukko, were happily spending the evening together as a family, just chatting over a meal, minding their own business, when the front door burst open, as Amy charged in, in full temper, hammer brazened, and went straight for Sonic.

The three male Hedgehogs, Super-Speed fast, dodged her, and Sonic screaming, desperately tried to talk her down, utterly terrified. Angry, Shadow went for her, but Sukko got there first. He grabbed his twin, and threw him out of the way, and into Shadow's arms, who promptly moved in front of him, for protection. Sonic just grabbed him, desperately frightened. Amy's almighty temper always did this to him. But seeing a second Blue Hedgehog didn't break Amy, in any way, and she went for the mighty Sorcerer. Bad move, because with high-speed reflexes faster then the Blue Blur himself, and a black belt master in all thirty-six Mobian martial arts, Sukko ripped her to pieces.

It became obvious, why Eggman was terrified of the Sorcerer, as grabbed her hammer with his Telekinesis, exploding it to dust, and then proceed to slammed his hand, onto her forehead, telepathically connecting to her, and he just psychically screwed her over. He growled.

"Leave me alone." He spat, as she fell to the floor unconscious. He didn't physically hurt her, but permanently removed all thoughts of both him and his brother from her. Sonic was just left in tears. Seeing this happen to the woman he loved, like that, broke his heart, but seeing her attack him, like this, he genuinely feared for his life. But his family protected him, as always, and Sukko had been saying, that he doubted that she was a good match for him.
