Adrien watched Plagg from the vantage point of his bed, devouring a large wheel of cheese and groaned. Plagg looked over at him, cheeks bulging.
"Plagg, I think I finally know how you feel," Adrien hugged his pillow. Plagg swallowed hurriedly and floated over. "You mean we can be cheese buddies? Have my prayers been answered?" Adrien laughed. "No, I was at Marinette's the other day as Cat," Plagg glared. "So what's new? Your always there."
Adrien hugged the pillow tighter, almost peeking above the top. "But I discovered cat grass, and it's so delicious. It's almost all I think about." Plagg grinned. "Welcome to the club, kid. But cheese and grass are two totally different matters." Adrien sat up, not feeling the need for cheese, but for his beloved grass. "Plagg, Claws Out."
If Marinette asked he could just say he was passing through, and "happened" to wonder if she had more grass available. His ears drooped in disappointment as he landed on her balcony, finding the sunny patio deserted.
However, there was a plant on the table, and Cat's ears twitched. He licked his lips. It's wasn't like Marinette would be eating it, so maybe he could have a small nibble?
Cat took the bait, er, grass, giving a small meow of happiness, then confusion. This wasn't cat grass, but it still tasted good!
"Cat?" Marinette! She'd been here after all, she'd just be inside! "Cat, what do you have in your mouth?" she asked. Oh, no. He couldn't let her see him with a leaf in his mouth. "Nofin-" he tried to hide the soggy leaf, but Marinette was quicker.
Hey!" she barked. "Is that my basil?!" Basil! Cat spat the leaf out. "Cat, the basil is for supper tonight. Why are you eating leaves anyway?" Cat stood up, playing with his leather tail. "I want cat grass," he wailed, plopping down on his bottom, and Marinette patted his head. "Stop yowling, I'll get your grass."
He wiped his eyes. "Thanks, Princess." "You staying for dinner?" He nodded. Following his Princess inside, Cat was thinking of a way to ask her how to get him off his grass kick.
"Princess, about this grass…" he begin.
