FieLover - The pun was intended lol, but man, I'm so hyped for the next chapter! I have a feeling Fie will play a big part in Rean fully controlling his powers, considering what happens here. I also wonder how they'll react to Rean's transformation more than Relon. Because Rean seems to still have some sort of fear, but I will wait patiently to find out.
Haha, I knew it! And you a quite right with Fie and Rean's powers. Time to find out their reactions!
Speedkarate - I love this chapter and also looking forward to this field study.
Yaaaay! The wait is over!
Bugzoid14 - Really good it will definitely be interesting to see how the field study turns out
Thank ya, thank ya. Hopefully you enjoy.
Shinn: Man, it's good to be done with school. Annoying as hell that was.
Andrew: At least you're done.
Shinn: Yep, so let's see how many chapters I can get thrugh before I get back. Ready set go!
April 24th
"Alright. I actually woke up earlier than usual but I'm not complaining. 6:40. Okay, let's go."
Heading out and down the stairs, he takes sight of Rean.
"Oh, Relon, good morning. How are you feeling?"
"Morning. I'm feeling pretty refreshed actually. Glad we were able to get all of that out last night."
"As am I." He looks to the ceiling. "It feels good to have that off my chest." He murmurs.
"I know. Glad everyone understood." Relon smiles taking a seat at the couch followed by Rean. "I'm grateful they understood where I was coming from in holding back some of my past."
"You and me both. I still can't believe we managed to take on everyone until Instructor Sara joined in completely drunk." Rean laughs.
"Yeah. It went from us versus Class VII to Class VII versus Instructor Sara." Relon laughs.
After getting Sara under control, both boy sat down telling of their secret. Rean his dormant power he's had as a child and the fear behind it. Relon speaking about Nameless. After hearing their tale, Class VII was more than respectful in the boy's decisions in hiding their secrets. And with one last thanks to Fie, Rean bid goodnight to everyone as they all left Sara knocked out in her room.
"I can't believe Machias and Alisa were screaming for me to just cook her alive. Speaking of Alisa, while I was out, did she ever apologize?" At his words, a sigh escapes Rean. "I'll take that as a no."
"I still haven't been able to apologize to her. We can't exactly avoid working with one another when we're in the same group either."
"You got a point."
"I'm sure this is pretty awkward for her, too, so I really want say something... but when am I going to get the chance?"
"Right now." Relon responds casually.
"Huh?"
"Ah..." Both turn to see Alisa.
"Oh, m-morning." Rean stands greeting her.
"M-Morning..." She responds, both looking at the other awkwardly.
"You're, uh, early."
"W-Well, the same can be said for you."
"Though I always try to be up early."
"O-Oh, really? Morning practice? Oh wait, you haven't joined any clubs, have you? So I guess that's not it..."
"No, it's just a force of habit. Believe it or not, I'm kinda... used to waking up early. You're in the Lacrosse Club, right? So I'm guessing you do have to deal with morning practice sometimes..."
"Yeah, twice a week, apparently..."
"Of for the love of, JUST SAY YOU'RE BOTH SORRY!"
Jumping at the sudden shout, both recover to look to the other.
"I'm really sorry! Wait, why are you apologizing?! I should be the one to apologize! Hey, stop copying me!"
"Great, you're both sorry. Forgive, forget, and promise to never speak of it again. You do? You do? Good, you two may now move on." Relon claps getting to his feet, both eyeing the other.
"So we're cool?" Rean extends his hands.
"Yeah, we're cool." She shakes, both satisfied with the other's answers.
"Finally." The three turn to see Laura, Pippin, Elliot, and Aurelia.
"Morning." Relon greets.
"Heeeeey..." Elliot groans.
"What's wrong? We didn't beat you up that bad last night."
"No, I'm just exhausted over the amount of arts I had to cast." He sighs.
"Well that's to be considered. You probably overused your mana. That's what is known to happen when you go past your limits. Good thing that's also how you increase your capacity." Relon notes.
"R-Really?"
"Yeah, I can't use mana so your mana works the same as my fire. Both have a certain amount so by using it up, we can increase it. Although you guys have it lucky. If you want, you could just go to a shop or the Engineering Club and get orbments that increase your mana capacity."
"You certainly know a lot." Aurelia notes. "Then again, this is you."
"It's always good to have knowledge in a little bit of everything."
"A little." Alisa deadpans. "Coming from Mr. Top Scorer, I don't think you can say that."
"Hey, cut me some slack! Elliot, Rean, back me up here!"
"Well... she has a point."
"I'm with Rean on this one, you sorta walked into that."
"Ugh, thanks for nothing." He groans for the group to laugh.
"Shall we depart?" Laura smiles taking the lead.
"Yes, please."
Walking over, they stop just outside the station.
"Crap." Relon sighs.
"What's wrong?" Rean asks.
"We were all so exhausted from last night, I didn't put away the dishes. It'll only take a second! Stay here, Pippin!" He hurries off.
Reaching the kitchen, he collects all of the cups and cleans up.
"Done in not even two minutes." Hurrying outside, he begins walking back to see a bespectacled woman exit Radio Trista begin walking his way.
Taking in her attire, he notes of the natural beauty the woman holds to to stop dead in his tracks widening his eyes. Seeing the boy ahead of her stop, so too does the woman.
Is something wrong, Relon?
Those eyes...!
Surely, you do not believe her to be your mother. She seems much too young to be of age.
Oh... yeah. You're right. He sighs clap his cheeks and rub his face fir the woman to look on quizzically.
"I'm sorry about that, ma'am! You looked like someone I'm looking for so I kinda just blanked out for a moment." He bows.
That was such a stupid presumption on my part.
"Oh, no problem at all." She smiles. "Is it someone close?"
Her voice is different too... Wait, she sounds a lot like Misty's.
"Yes. We've never met but she means a lot to me." He smiles.
"Is that so? Could it some sort of lover? The woman teases.
"N-No, not at all! She's much older than me." His words piquing the woman's interest.
"Is that so...?" The evidence of teasing completely gone as she just stares oddly at the boy taking notice of his hair and eyes.
Could it be...?
"I do not mean to pry, considering I'm a stranger and all, but would you mind telling me who it is you're looking for?"
"Huh? Hmm..." He closes his eyes and after thinking for a moment, opens them.
I do not sense any signs of ulterior motives from this woman.
Neither do I.
"I'm looking for a few people actually. One of them being my mom." He reveals, the woman in turn widening.
"Would your name happen to be-"
"Relon Lucinance!" A voice interrupts, both turning to see Laura. "The others are waiting inside!" She waves over.
"Coming!" He responds bowing once more oblivious to the sheer shock from the woman. "I'm sorry again, ma'am. I hope to hear you again on Abend Time, Ms. Misty!" He raises up smiling before hurrying to the station. "Sorry about that. Why use my last name though?" He apologizes.
"You weren't answering with just Relon." Laura explains, the two heading inside.
Standing still, Misty covers her quivering mouth. Tears rolling down her cheek. Gathering herself, she takes off her hat and glasses, beginning to breath calmly. Sensing no one around yet, she mutters something in an odd language. After a moment, a light washes over the ground around her showing footsteps belonging to Relon's.
He's really grown... She smiles, tears beginning to trail down her cheek once more. My child. Enchanting for unspoken words, a light around the woman appears before it ceases. So Celdic, hm? It never hurts to be careful.
Terminal
Looking around, Relon goes into thought.
Hopefully this time, Senate won't highjack a train.
If they do, then you shall simply deal with them, no?
Sighing with a smile, Relon chuckles to himself.
Nameless, you have no idea how much I love our conversations.
Technically, I do. Connected feelings remember?
You know something, go back to your regular speech. I don't want to hear that sass. He rolls his eyes to hear a chuckle from the entity.
I believe this to be humor, no?
Don't play dumb with me. I know that you know that I know you know what humor is.
... What?
See? So humorous you didn't even get it.
I do not believe that is how humor works.
"I think he's talking to Nameless again." Elliot mutters.
"Huh?" Relon snaps to seeing all of Class VII staring. "Haha, sorry about that. Hm? What's with those two?" He gestures to Machias and Jusis looking away from the other.
"You can take a wild guess." Gaius states.
"But you two were getting along somewhat fine last night! What happened?!"
"What happened?" Machias repeats. "What happened was this ill-mannered halfwit decided he couldn't hold his tongue about referencing everything to that of his noble life!" He states glaring at Jusis.
"And... that's a problem how?"
"This dullard couldn't begin to fathom the meaning behind my rather simple comparisons." Jusis explains glaring back at Machias.
"What was that?!" Machias turns fully.
"I didn't stutter," Jusis defends only for both to be pushed back a few feet.
Looking up, they see Relon in between them with his arms raised.
"I swear, do I have to knock you two out to save the others the trouble of dealing with the drama you two have. We just fixed Alisa and Rean's whole ordeal."
"Tch, tell that to him." Both say crossing their arms.
Truly, an issue that will bring headaches to all in their wake.
"You can say that again." Relon sighs.
Truly, an issue that will bring headaches to all in their wake.
"... Really?" He deadpans though a response never comes.
Just then, the announcer sounds over the intercom notifying of the departing and incoming trains.
"Looks like it's time to go. Good luck out there you two."
"Hmpf. You don't have to worry about me."
"Same goes for me. Time to go." Machias bids.
"Good luck with those two." Relon sighs turning to Group B. "Here's to hoping you guys don't need it."
"We're gonna need it." Fie deadpans.
"Getting those two to work together sure doesn't seem like it'll be an easy task." Elliot mentions.
"We'll do what we can." Gaius nods.
"Good luck to all of you. Please take care."
"May Aidios be with you all." Aurelia bids.
"This is our first field study so let's show everyone what we're made of." Alisa adds.
"While you're out, try not to sleep everywhere." Rean smiles patting Fie's head. "If need be, get some rest on the train ride."
"... No promises." She averts her eyes, a tint of pink slightly visible.
"Emma?" He calls.
"Don't worry. I'll make sure she gets plenty of rest.
"Boo..." She lazily whines to focus back on Rean. "Be careful out there."
"I will. You two." He lowers his hand.
(I swear, his denseness hurts to the point I want to rip my heart out.)
(Come now. Let them have their moment.) Laura smiles.
(So how long do you think it'll take?) Alisa wonders.
(Before he realizes or before they become an item?) Aurelia wonders.
(Knowing Rean, he won't know how to respond if she confesses. Poor Fie.) Relon sighs.
(Hm, perhaps months into the semester?) Gaius wonders.
(I for one am looking forward to it. They look cute together.) Emma stifles a squeal.
"What are you guys talking about?" Rean wonders seeing the group of friends all huddled together.
"We're placing bets on how long it'll take Machias an Jusis to get along." Relon blurts out.
"Oh? I'd say about a month or so."
"That early?"
"I'm sure they'll come to an understanding before long. But we should get going or we'll miss our train."
Bidding farewell, both groups separate. Glancing back, Fie gives a troubled look.
"I'm sure he'll be fine." Raising her head, she sees Emma.
"Hm. I suppose." Both board the train.
If that's the case, then why do I have this bad feeling? Rean...
Train
Seated down are Relon, Laura, and Aurelia along with Rean, Alisa, and Elliot across from them.
"So it's about an hour to Celdic from here, right?" Elliot asks.
"Yup. Though it would be faster if I was in my other form or flying on Pippin."
"If I remember correctly, you mentioned arriving by train after going through some issue, no?" Aurelia mentions.
"Yeah. Still hoping nothing happens this time."
"Knowing how your luck can be sometimes, so do I." Elliot chuckles nervously.
"If anything does happen, I'm sure we can deal with it." Alisa reassures. "Looking at our group, we kinda have a powerhouse."
"You're right about that." Elliot nods. "Laura, Aurelia, Rean, Relon, and Pippin? We basically have the strongest in the class."
"Don't count yourself short, Elliot. You're plenty strong too with your orbal staff. You too, Alisa. Your accuracy with your orbal bow is frightening." The others nodding in agreement at Rean's words.
"R-Really. Wow, I don't know what to say." The ginger scratches his head.
"Everyone in Class VII is strong. But if we had to have a list... hmm..." Alisa goes into thought.
"Let's not. If we get one, who knows what it could cause." Relon shudders stifling a yawn.
"Did you not get enough sleep?" Rean asks.
"No, me and vehicles do not mix at all. I fall asleep within seconds..." He explain with a yawn glancing to Laura, the girl nodding for the others to look curiously.
Giving another yawn, he leans back resting his head on Laura's shoulder to their surprise.
"During his time in Legram, Father would take us to neighboring towns via car and every time Relon would fall asleep. It got to the point where he'd sleep on whoever was next to him. That or the car seat window." Laura explains stifling a small blush.
"Yup. So, before I'm out like a light, lemme tell you all about Celdic." Relon yawns once more closing his eyes.
"Reminds me kinda of Fie."
"You're right about that." Alisa giggles.
"Hush. First off, it's known as the merchant town. It's thanks to the Grand Market that there has been so much tourism. It's in the eastern province of Kreuzen and has been a major trading hub for a long time. It's also a major interchange station connecting Heimdallr with Bareahard and even Crossbell. The area itself is known for having a large number of granaries. Of course, it has been overshadowed by the aforementioned Grand Market. Anything can basically be produced and sent there..." He finishes with another yawn.
"Wow, I'm kinda excited about it now!"
"I would be too, if I knew we'd actually have a chance to take in the sights." Alisa sighs. "But there's no telling what kind of thing Instructor Sara has planned for us."
"Boy, isn't that the truth." Elliot sighs along with her.
"I can't even hazard a guess as to what this 'field study' might involve." Aurelia comments.
"Being part of our curriculum, though, it's a safe bet to assume it won't be easy." Rean notes.
"If it were, it would hardly be worth the trip." Laura mentions. "Personally, I am looking forward to learning the true nature of our excursion. As well as seeing what Relon's home has to offer." She adds, all glancing to the dormant teen.
"Well. we'll find our answer when we get there. We're supposed to drop by the inn as soon as we arrive." Rean adds. "There should be an envelope waiting for us there with details on our assignment."
"Yeah, but still, this whole trip seems eerily well-planned out, don't you think? Even the station employees knew we were coming..." Alisa notes.
"That shows how high of expectation the academy has for you all!" A familiar voice answers, all looking to see Sara come in seating across from them.
"W-Whoa!"
"I-Instructor?"
"What brings you aboard our train?" Aurelia wonders.
"I was wondering why you were nowhere to be seen this morning." Laura mutters.
"Huh, someone seems out. Lucky you~." Sara grins to the ponytailed girl for her slight blush to deepen.
"W-Whatever do you mean." Laura dismisses averting her head.
"Oh, nothing~. Though it's good to see you two manage to make up."
"Why do I feel she's been watching us the whole time?" Elliot shudders.
"So... umm... what brings you here, Instructor?"
"Well, considering this is your first time out in the field, I assumed you'd be positively lost without me!"
"But we have Relon. We're literally going to his hometown." Laura turns back retorting.
"Could it be..." Aurelia begins in thought. "You were interested in your 'special' student's hometown now that he is back?"
"Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Kinda. But not completely. That's more of a side thing. Don't worry though. I'll only be with you until you've finished checking in at the inn."
"I feel it would have been better if you went with the other group. They seem like they'll need more help." Elliot comments.
"I'll check on the at some point if a certain two get out of control. But, we'll cross that bridge when we come to it~."
"I will never understand what goes on in that head of yours." Alisa sighs.
"Anyway, don't pay me no mind. You're free to keep talking. After last night, I need to catch up on my beauty sleep. So I'll be like the sleeping pyromaniac over there and warm myself up to some sleep." With that, she's out.
"She's asleep already?!" Elliot says in disbelief.
"Incredible. Her and Relon are something else." Alisa sighs.
"I can see why he mentioned preferring to walk or ride on Pippin whenever he traveled." Rean chuckles.
"Some things never change." Laura joins in.
With that, the group settle on light chatter. Every now and then Relon and Sara would rustle in their sleep the the group's amusement. Before long, the terrain begins to change showing windmills and farmland.
"Hey, look!" Elliot announces peering out the window.
"it's beautiful..." Alisa says in awe.
"What a spectacular view." Laura notes.
"The rye planted last fall seems almost ready for harvesting." Aurelia adds.
"Now?" Elliot wonders. "I thought rye could only be harvested in the fall?"
"Well, the soil in the area is supposed to be extra fertile due to the warmer climate, so things are a little different here." Rean explains. "But the view really is something. It's like that out of one of Gaius' paintings."
Just then, the female announcer speaks over the intercom.
"The Ministry of Railways wishes to thank all passengers for their patronage. This train is bound for Crossbell. The next stop is... Celdic. Celdic. Passengers traveling to... Bareahard... please change trains at this stop."
"We're almost there now." Alisa says smiling.
"Guess we should wake up Relon and Instructor Sara." Rean notes.
"I'm already awake." The male voices gaining everyone's attention to see his eyes still closed. "The announcer woke me up." He reveals, his head lifting off Laura's shoulder to the Arseid small displeasure. "Thanks for that, Laura." He says wiping away the remaining sleep.
"Think nothing of it." She smiles.
"Man, I was wondering how things were going but I didn't expect to be back so soon." He smiles.
"You don't seem excited to be back." Aurelia notes.
"Oh, I am. I just can't fully show it on this train." He grins standing up stretching his back. "Alright." Walking over to Instructor Sara, he rustles the woman's shoulder. "Wake up." No response. "There's free beer~." At that, her eyes snap open, the woman rushing to her feet looking around frantically.
"Beer? Where?!" She exclaims to take sight of her students giving looks of disappointment.
"Truly, you are something else Instructor." Aurelia sighs.
"Yup." The rest agrees.
Celdic
Stepping off the train is an embarrassed Sara followed by her students.
Well, good thing Senate didn't pull anything this time.
Indeed. Though I believe you all would have dealt with the situation just fine.
Nodding in agreement, he looks around the station. A grin curving at the edge of his lips. Walking at a brisk pace past his classmates and teacher, his hands ball into fists. Rean, Laura, and Sara grin to one another before looking at the back of the boy.
Stepping outside onto the wooden porch, Relon jumps into the air landing on Pippin beneath him. Feeling the power within, he unleashes it resorting in a small explosion, the townspeople all looking in up in wonder.
"What is he...?" Alisa begins.
"Let him be." Sara waves.
"HEY EVERYONE, RELON LUCINANCE IS BACK IN TOWN!" He bellows in his demonic voice before reverting to normal placing hands on his hips breathing a breath of relief.
"I now see what he meant by being unable to show his excitement on the train." Aurelia smirks.
"You're right about that. Huh?" Rean says for the group to see Relon descend, the townspeople all gathering around under him.
"Relon?" A woman asks.
"Hey, is it really you?" A merchant asks.
"Hey, it's Pippin!" A kid calls.
"It's really Relon!" The girl next to him exclaims with a happy face. "You added bangs!"
Slowly, an uproar begins as Relon lands in the middle of the newly formed crowd.
"Yup." He grins.
"What are you doing back so soon?" Another woman asks."
"I'm back doing a field study with my classmates."
"How long ya back for?" A merchant asks wrapping an arm around Relon. "I got a new shipment of fish that I bet you and your friends are gonna love."
"We're staying until Monday morning. I'll definitely be sure to stop by!"
"Relon!" The young boy calls walking up to his legs.
"Are you going to stop by the orphanage?" The little girl asks.
"Of course! I have to see how the rest of my family is doing." He kneels down patting both kids.
"Wow, Relon is really loved here." Elliot comments.
"This is his hometown but still, for basically the whole city to come here..." Alisa exclaims
"Then there is the fact that he opening transformed."
"Everyone here is well acquainted with Relon." Laura speaks up.
'You could say he's the half the heart of Celdic." Rean adds with a chuckle.
"Only half?" Alisa repeats in confusion. "What's the other half?"
"Why, Celdic's orphanage. Or, more so who resides inside of it." Laura smiles.
"Right you two are." Sara acknowledges, the group walking towards Relon as the crowd slowly disperses. "That was quite the warm welcome."
"Yeah. With how small Celdic is, the people here are all close with one another like one giant family. I'm glad I'm apart of it."
"As am I to bear witness to such kindness and hospitality." Laura says.
"Yeah, these next two days are gonna be a blast! But first, we should check in though."
"True that." Sara agree, she and Relon leading the way, oblivious to a mysterious man watching from afar.
"Well, well. I hadn't expected to see the Purple Lightning herself in such a quaint little town." He mutters to focus on Relon, Pippin out flying around the group. "So that's her son. Hmm, I better do as she requested and keep an eye on him." The man walks off.
Opening the entrance door to the inn, the group stops inside eyeing the place.
"Ms. Margot, I'm back!" Relon announces, he and Sara gaining the attention of a woman wearing an apron with her hair styled in a bun.
"Hm?" She turns around to go wide-eyed.
"Sara? And... Oh my Aidios!" She exclaims rushing over and bear hugging Relon to everyone's shock.
"Good... to see you too... Ms. Margot." She says with a muffled voice for the woman to pull away gripping the boy by his arms inspecting him top to bottom.
"I'm fiiiiiiine, Ms. Margot."
"After what you and-"
"Ahem!" He coughs gaining the woman's attention as he motions his head towards the others.
"Oops. Almost slipped my tongue."
"Phew, it's good to see you again." Relon smiles at the woman.
"Same here. It's been over two weeks and already you look different. I like the side bangs. They really suit you." She grins patting his shoulders. "An if it isn't Sara! What are you doing here? I knew your students were coming but I wasn't expecting our town pyrokinetic to be amongst them."
"Oh, I just figured I'd help them get settled in before I left."
"I highly doubt that. You just came for our beer, didn't you?" The woman deadpans.
"What makes you say that?!"
"If our dear Relon was coming here, he could have guided his friends all over the place." Margot gives a confident grin with hands on her hips.
"Checkmate, Instructor." Relon grins copying the innkeeper's gesture.
"Hmpf. What's wrong with liking beer?"
"She finally admits defeat." Relon sighs.
"And, here they are! My lovely students." Sara gesture changing the topic, Relon and Margot shaking their heads.
"A pleasure to meet you." Rean greets on behalf of the class. "We're first-year students from Thors Military Academy, Class VII. Thank you for your hospitality."
"The pleasure's all mine. Anyone that's a friend of our dear Relon is more than welcome to our humble establishment."
"Ms. Margot..." Relon mumbles embarrassed.
"Oh, you know we all just care." She laughs. "Sara has taken care of all your arrangements so I'll show you to your rooms." She leads the way.
"I'll leave you to it then~." Sara bids waving.
"Here we are." Margot announces opening the door for all to walk in.
"Wait... We're... all...?"
"Will be sleeping together. Problem?" Relon asks nonchalantly.
"To you maybe since you and... mmm..." Alisa whines to herself.
"Alisa, I don't believe we have a choice here. We are military students. We mustn't allow the prospect of mixed-gender accommodations to faze us."
"In the army, woman share rooms with men." Aurelia notes. "It's a fact of life, born of necessity."
"If need be, some of you could stay at the orphanage. You haven't been by yet, have you Relon?"
"Nope. We just arrived. Do you know if Aunt Cecily and the others are in?"
"They indeed are. I'm sure your little sister is going to be super delighted to see you." Margot winks.
"Sister?" Alisa questions.
"I'm a wandering orphan so when I came here, I stayed at the orphanage and that's where I befriended some of the kids there. A few in particular." He explains. "Regardless, this is the chance for you to get used to it considering we'll have other field studies in the future and most like will be in the same situation."
"Okay, okay! I get it!" She says to turn to the boys. "But if any of you come anywhere near our beds..." She glares specifically at Rean.
"Sorry, not interested in that stuff." Relon shrugs. "Ms. Margot and the rest of the townspeople would kill me otherwise."
"We'd do it out of love." She smiles.
"See?" Relon sighs.
"I wouldn't dream of it either!" Elliot adds.
"Likewise." Rean agrees.
"Hmpf. You better." She mutters.
"Anyway, now that your room's all sorted, let me give you this." Margot says handing Relon an envelope titled, 'Field Study (April)'.
"Does this contain the details for our assignment here?" Laura asks as Relon pulls it out.
"Yeah, by the looks of it." Relon notes.
"Well, if you need anything during your stay, don't hesitate to let me or Relon know. I'll leave you to get settled. It's good to have you home, Relon."
"It's good to be back." He smiles for Margot to leave. "Let's see..." He looks through the requests passing them out.
"We have a monster extermination request." Elliot notifies.
"We need to fix an orbal light in a road lamp too." Alisa adds.
"Let's see what Instructor Sara has to say. These seem... odd." Rean suggests, everyone nodding to settle in before heading down to twitch an eye.
At the bar drinking a mug of bear sits Sara.
"Ahhh~! Nothing hits the spot like a cold beer!" She shouts in joy raising her mug in the air.
"How many pints have you downed already?! It's not even noon!" Alisa exclaims.
"Hmm, good question. I'll be hanging around enjoying myself, so go on ahead and get started! Don't mind little ole me~."
"Instructor, what is the meaning behind these tasks?" Aurelia questions.
"I'm glad they're not difficult compared to what I was expecting, but they're just... so..." Rean struggles to find the right words to use.
"Mmm. Well, it makes sense you'd have some doubts. They're pretty straightforward so feel free to take care of them when and how you want. I. Do. Not. Care~. It's completely up to you how you go about doing them."
"Hmm... Is that so..." Relon mutters going into thought.
"Really?! Oh come on-"
"Wait." Rean interrupts. "These kinds of decisions are as much a part of our field study as the tasks themselves, right?"
"Thinking about it, don't these tasks kinda remind you of the requests from the student council?"
"That that you mention it, you're right!"
"Uhh, what?" Alisa wonders completely lost.
"I see.." Laura mutters.
"Hehe." All look back to Sara. "You have two days. You go back Monday morning. Until then, spend your time here how you six see fit. Every decision rests on your shoulders. I won't be forcing you to do a thing."
