FairyNChevalier: I can literally feel the feels while reading. Relon has a lot of baggage, of course everyone else has theirs but man, I can feel myself getting depressed lol. The writing is amazing, I enjoyed reading through it all. Rean and Fie's moment, though... was wondering if he's gonna tell her about their relationship in the dream XD. Good work as always!

Legit was listening to slow and reverbed music to help with this, haha. Your words truly are greatly appreciated my friend. As for Rean telling Fie about the dream; we'll have to wait and see lol.

FireExorcist0: Yup I called Laura is so in love, I also love the little interaction between Sara and Sharon is Sara in love because she said something about him being hers not she-devil's or Powece woman's? lol. It's so like them lol Also he seems to have gotten quite the attention from women, but man what killed me was Aurelia in a freaking Bear Snuggie, where did that freaking come from?! Haha now I cannot help but imagine her in an Eevee Onesie! Seriously though that was GOLD!.

Plot Twist: Aurelia is in love but doesn't realize that she always seemed to have this weird fetish for power so I wouldn't be surprised if she's in love by this point or maybe later on am waiting for Branch Campus to be honest even though it might not happen I imagine Instructor Relon and Principal Le Guin butting heads over silly stuff and everyone else is like "WTF is up with them?!". (Just ignore the scenario my imaginations.)

Mmmm, was it officially a confession? As for Sara, I'm trying to keep her relationship with Sharon and Claire close to canon while dramatizing it to a certain degree. But she simply cares for Relon as one of her precious students. Also, I HAD A DREAM OF AURELIA IN A SNUGGIE AND I KNEW I HAD TO ADD IT XD.

By all means, pop off. I'm vibin to the ideas/scenarios you got going on! I can so see Relon and Aurelia doing that, haha.

Shinn: So I tried to keep this one chapter but that didn't work out.

Andrew: What do you mean?

Shinn: Well, my goal was for this chapter to be around 15k but once I got to 20k while realizing I wasn't done, I just said screw it.

Andrew: Cut it in half huh?

Shinn: Yep. Also, Spy x Family is so good.

Andrew: We must protect Anya.

Shinn: FACTS!

Stepping out of the hot shower, Relon reaches for the towel drying his damp hair. Looking at the mirror, his eyes lock on their reflection. The constant shift between their normal circular shape and their new vertical alignment makes him slightly scowl in irritation. His eyes lowering to his bare abdomen. His sole red bar-like marking hugging half his body the same as it has always been since that fateful encounter with Arentula's brother.

"As Relon Lucinance or the Senate Hunter? It is clear Relon has thought deeply about this but I worry if he is running on logic or emotion. So, which is your choice?" The voice of Olivert resurfaces.

Stepping out back into his bedroom, he dresses himself.

"Neither. I'm only someone who's taking responsibility for the lives lost."

Lifting his arms, both swords attach themselves to his hip.

"That's not-"

"You asked, I answered."

Swinging his arm through his jacket's sleeve, his eyes lay upon the morning sun.

"Watch your tongue, child."

"Child? Where, Vander?"

Looking to the time, his eyes avert from it as his body departs from the room.

"Kid…"

"Hm? What's up, Mister?" His tone as curious as when he was a child.

"Relon, take it easy. You're in the throne room for Aidios' sake." The voice of Lechter cautions.

Walking down the hall, his eyes take in the visage of the chanting crowd.

"Aidios… Oh yeah, that pathetic woman…"

"What are you-"

"Aidios isn't as powerful as you all thought. Then again, she's very much real compared to what I once believed…"

"Explain, Relon." Vandyck says.

Taking sight of the library entrance, his eyes make out a familiar individual in their RMP attire. Though she isn't alone. Two certain females around three years younger than himself to be specific.

"Where should I begin? The part where I had Aidios inside of me all along, the part where I come from another plane of existence, the part where my flesh and blood who committed genoicide on my own people is trying to reshape the land, or the part where my own father hid his ability to use magic?"

Immediately he stops, his neutral expression softening as the two take notice of himself. Opening his arms slightly, he takes in the brunt force of the two's full weight.

"Let's get it all out. Right here, right now, Principal, your majesties, everyone."

Staggering back only a step, he holds both girls tightly. Musse and Alfin's trembling forms all he needs to know how much hurt they're in.

"And that's that."

"The Beyond, huh…?" The emperor muses.

Pulling away from the two, he bends to eye level wiping at their puffy eyes. His apology though falls on deaf ears. The nearing public display holding their minds in a grasp.

"And what was it your mother said to you?" Muller asks.

"... Stuff."

"What do you mean by that?"

"Exactly what I said. Something only a mother who hasn't seen her son in 17 years could say."

Continuing down the long corridor, he notes of Musse and Alfin's grip around his arms more firm than usual. He can't blame them. Glancing ahead at Claire, his eyes lower for a moment.

"Regardless, we need to get started on prepping for tomorrow. The RMP has had to fend off the people long enough."

"But you just woke up!" The voice of Claire finally speaks up, the room going silent.

"Yeah. And?" A shrug. "You've all been working hard enough with the chaos so it's time I alleviate-"

A loud slap rings throughout the room, the hybrid catching his footing as a hand lifts to hold his cheek.

"Whoa, Claire!" Lechter widens going for the girl for a hand from Relon to stop him, his locks hiding his facial features.

"Becoming a punching bag for the civilians?! Leaving Thors?! Do you hear yourself right now?!"

"Yeah." He raises his head still holding his neutral expression. "Clearly."

"Then why-"

"Because I hate being protected." His slitted eyes reflecting the scowl on his face. "One Week. Seven days…" Heat begins to expel outwards around him for all to step forward. "168 hours where I was incapacitated and had to rely of who knows all to deal with an issue that was mine! You think I like that?! You think I like being on the other side of the fence?!"

"I know you don't, but still-"

"Still what, Claire?! You're human! I'm not! I'm only half human! Half of me isn't even of this world!" A flicker of a flame sparks across his body. "It makes sense that if we fight, I protect you! So how is it fair that I have to be the one in need of protection and you all have to deal with my burdens?! I'M THE ONE WHO WAS RAISED BY THE WANDERING BEAST! I-"

Relon!

Stopping in the hall, both look to him soon followed by Claire herself. His eyes locked on the intricately designed floor.

"That's right." A low murmur of realization comes. "I never apologized…" He murmurs resuming his trek, the three exchanging worried expressions.

Catching himself from another rant, he steps away from the girl shaking his head.

"I'm sorry, Claire. But… I'm sticking to this. Whether I have the support of everyone or not. Hate me if you want. I won't deny that I deserve it." He says slowly turning to the royal family.

"Relon, don't…!" A low plea from Claire as she begins to raise an outstretched hand for him only to stop.

Exchanging mixed expressions, Olivert sighs.

"You're deadset on this."

"I am."

"Even if you try to leave, they won't let you." Vandyck says.

"I'm aware."

Exchanging one last glance with his own parents, they nod.

"Very well. Let's plan."

He could have said a lot of things at the time. But he has to wonder, if he did, who would have stopped him? Or… would he have crossed that line of no return? Shatter Caire's heart, become everyone's enemy in that very room, all of it. He feels his spine shudder.

'Before you go worrying about the RMP, how about you worry about yourself first?' Had I said that for example, what path would I be on now?

Stopping his thought in sync with his feet, Relon takes note of the large room indicating they're already at the front door. Osborne and Lechter awaiting them further ahead.

"Alright..." He takes a deep breath closing his eyes.

You awake Nameless?

A pause. Nothing.

Guess he's still resting. Get as much as you can buddy.

Turning to both young girls, he gives a wry smile.

"I'm sure I don't need to say this but I will anyway. I wouldn't watch. Honestly, I'd prefer if no one I knew did but that'll be impossible." A glance at Claire having walked over to Osborne and Lechter.

"Relon…" Alfin murmurs for a hand to pat the top of her head.

"Don't worry. I'll be fine." He smiles, his eyes going to Musse. "I'm guessing Elise is visiting Rean?" A nod. "Well, at least she won't see it. As for you…"

"I won't if you don't want me to." Her tone solemn though serious and honest rather than a tease, something Relon was becoming more and more grateful about.

"I can only guess how much of the city you watch so I don't want to hear of people disappearing or something worse." He chuckles, the greenette narrowing her eyes. "I do know what Musse Egret is capable of after all."

"You're the only person who knows me well enough so whatever you think of me may as well be the truth." Musse's own words from the night before the large battle echo in her head, her focused expression lightening somewhat as his hand rests atop her head.

"Don't do anything I wouldn't approve of. Or else I won't want to keep up our end of the deal." He winks.

Opening her mouth to speak, she stops herself.

"Very well, Instructor." She bows.

"Relon, be careful." Alfin pleads for him to nod.

"I'm off. See y'all later." He waves over his shoulder.

With every step, his mind goes back to the past.

"Ablaze!" The first time he and Pippin fought as one against Victor Arseid.

"Flame Cleaver!" The first of many bouts against his adoptive father. It would also be his test towards becoming Alfin's bodyguard.

"I only have two words for you..."His quick defeat of Arentula. "The end." And his mastery over Nameless' power.

"See if you can burn me!" His father roars from their final day of training.

"Flare Blitz!" The mastery over his new flame technique as well as the outcome of their clash proof that he was ready for Thors.

"If only you weren't so foolish… then maybe you would understand how wrong you are!" This ends now! Flame Cleaver!" His coincidental meeting with Osborne.

"You are still too experienced! You think you know the world but you know nothing! Behold! Calamity Eruption!" Their clashing ideologies looking for a way to peace through different means. The first mention of Relon's belief in a "third path."

"Pippin! Let's end this and get the hell out of this place!" His voice resounds from the final room of the Abandoned Schoolhouse, his reunion with Rean and Laura as well as his meeting with his classmates leading to interesting circumstances all around.

"YEAH!" A battle cry as for the first time, they all fought as a class to vanquish the beast.

"STOP RUNNING! YOU CAME HERE TO CAUSE MISERY AND DESTRUCTION, DIDN'T YOU?! THEN LET'S FIND OUT WHO CAN DESTROY WHO FIRST!"Fury, pain, hurt; an array of emotions all but a haze to the berserk teen at the loss of the Great Elder.

(Thank you.) Luna's parting words whisper, the beginning of many revelations about both Relon and his family. A part of the Goddess herself originally appointed to protect him should Ishmelga intervene but alas, she would descend back into the Beyond without him.

"Anytime, Lunamaria." Her hopes and wishes for success instilled within him.

"UNION CRAFT: SEVEN'S LINEAGE!" The culmination of both Relon's and everyone's heart and sole into their newborn attack laid upon the very evil of two worlds.

And it all started with that fateful day in Ymir… Closing his eyes, he allows the resurfaced memories to fade away.

"Ready, Senate Hunter?" Lechter asks.

Snapping his eyes open, his slit eyes burn with conviction.

"Yeah…!"

Following him, they bow to Alfin and Musse before closing the doors to take sight of the RMP forming a wall blocking the enraged civilians.

"Oh boy, they grew again." Lechter sighs, all watching Relon look on for a moment before he heads to the edge of the bridge.

"Pippin." He calls, the sword leaving its sheath. "See you all at the stadium." He bids not looking at them as he jumps off.

Walking to the edge, they see the young man flying atop the water's surface around the plaza and out of sight.

"And none are the wiser." Lechter whistles.

"Let us begin."

"Yes, sir!"

Looking ahead, Pippin zooms around the docks. His mind momentarily going to the hectic day that was the Gigantic's Grand Opening. How hectic that day was. Shooting up stacked containers faster than any workers can make out, he barrels through a cloud to stop high above the capital. Rotating to face the sun, he messes with his ARCUS before outstretching his hands. Its very warmth begins to be absorbed into his body. Hearing a buzzer sound, he stops. Reaching into his pocket, he dismisses the alarm on his ARCUS.

Looks like my time's up.

Basking in the star's radiance, he descends towards the stadium. Seeing hundreds of civilians from all over slowly make their way there, his hand balls into a fist.

"Mommy, where's daddy?" The voice of the child from yesterday echoes in his mind.

"... He's gone to fight sweetie."

"Then why do look so sad?"

"Because… Because I'm not, dear. I'm just… mommy's angry."

Osborne's speech must have done the trick…

Landing in the center of the empty stadium, he hops off Pippin.

"Got enough fire to heal you after this show's over?" He turns to face his adoptive father approach him.

"Don't know." He turns away unhooking Pappan as Pippin goes back into its sheath before it too is unhooked. "That fight increased my reserves by a lot so it took more for me to absorb the sun's heat."

"I see…"

"Alright, you two." He gestures his head to his father, both weapons nodding to float over to the man. "You both know what to do. That goes double for you, Pippin." Said sword bending inwards as if to pout.

"Hmpf, some things never change."

"Yeah."

Too bad others do.

"Try not to let them pummel you too bad to death." Yujiro bids squatting before leaping all the way onto the top of the commentator box.

Turning to face Relon, he takes a seat, both swords laying at his sides.

(Easier said than done, Mister.) He turns forward, his eyes catching civilians slowly begin to fill the area.

Considering I couldn't go through with suicide, this is the next best thing. He readies himself noting of the hundreds upon hundreds of eyes make contact with his own, his body loosening up as a whirling sound comes from overhead. There's the media. His eyes lowering to numerous cameramen setting up all around. Welp, if the Senate Hunter wasn't famous, I will be going into the afternoon.

"What am I thinking…?" He sighs. "Ever since last week, I've been barely positive. Got slapped by two and punched by one woman who I hold dear. Is this that phase Mister and Aunt Cecily mentioned as Silver, Blaze, and I were growing up? If so, the shit's late." Another sigh. "It's too tiring to be positive with all the depressing stuff happening. Is this what it feels like to have depression? If so, shit sucks too. Now I'm glad Nameless isn't awake. Talking to me must have been hard. Great, now I feel bad…" A sudden soda can hits his head making him stop his personal dialogue. "Rude." He rubs his forehead as he squats to pick the aluminum object. "At least wait until- oh what am I saying. I'm taking the hit for the lives of 747 people no longer here. All because the simple concept of magic would cause too great of an uproar for those who would believe it and those who wouldn't. Ugh, Osborne better be grateful."

Clenching the can, he looks around noting of a trash can along the edge of the race track. Walking over, his eyes scan over the people he nears. Their eyes filled with anger like hot water in a kettle; ready to burst at any given moment.

Don't worry, you all will get your turn. Dropping the can into the trashcan, he turns to head back for another can to hit him. This one still with the carbonated beverage slowly spilling onto the ground.

Placing his foot on the ground, he sighs again. Turning his head, he looks back to meet a young man around Alfin and the girls' age. A fire alit in his eyes makes it easy to tell why he's upset. Looking at his soaked shoulder already becoming dry, his eyes linger back to the child forced to sit down by most likely his only parent. Picking up the spilt can, he tosses it away.

Reminds me of myself. He muses inwardly as he heads back to the center of the field.

Reaching it, his eyes take note of Claire and Leachter stationed at one of the tunnels. Lechter giving his usual two-fingered salute and Claire looking at him wearing a perturbed expression.

Oh what am I kidding, it's obvious what she's thinking. He averts his gaze to the other tunnel as Osborne comes out. Numerous applauds and hollers resound at his very presence.

Seems no one hates him. The only ones we have to worry about now are the theorists and major speculators. As long as everyone can hate the Senate Hunter, things will…

Dismissing the dark thought, his eyes take sight of numerous officers exiting from the tunnel behind Osborne as they station themselves around the track.

Safety measures; check. Civilians; check. Clear skies for a beating; check. Alright… showtime. Glancing over his shoulder once more, his eyes meets Osborne's as the infamous man raises his hand signaling for all to go silent. Just make it short, Osborne.

"You know, you don't have to be here for this." Lechter notes, his eyes going to his fellow Ironblood.

"I know." Is all she responds with, Lechter respecting her answer as the surfacing conversation drowns in silence.

Sadly to Relon's annoyance, Osborne decided that now would be the long speech. To add onto his annoyance, Relon had to take the brunt of the man's coercive vocabulary as he once again wooed the crowd. If Relon didn't know any better, he'd guess that Osborne was erupting an insurrection against not a government body or authority but himself.

"But be that as it may…" The chancellor's booming voice gaining Relon's attention. "Each soldier fought valiantly until the bitter end. Each soul with pride in their hearts completed their objective! Now, we shall commence in their name and honor!" An eruption of cheers resound as many rise to their feet.

Taking note of Osborne depart, Relon barely hears his farewell.

"Do not die."

"I won't." He dismisses, those once in their seats now once again being blocked as the RMP block any from entering the field. "My turn…"

Sucking in a large load of air, an explosion erupts for all to go silent. Citizens and police alike turn to catch sight of Relon as the smoke subside.

"Single file! You'll get your chance to beat me to a pulp. So stop being savages and line the hell up!" He shouts glaring directly at the helicopter overhead.

Lowering to gaze at the mixed reactions, the roars of the public become mixed with the officers repeating Relon's order.

BANG!

All goes silent. Relon casually turning to the source of the sound to find a lone man in the bleachers obviously panting. Smoke leaving the barrel of a raised pistol in his hand. Yujiro looking down on the already defeated man.

"If you want revenge, get it the same way as everyone else." The Wandering Beast mutters, letting go of the worker's arm while discarding the gun from him to ball it in his fist. Letting go, only bits of dust can be seen in its place.

Eyes shaking at the sight, Yujiro turns to Relon. Both holding a neutral demeanor towards the other.

"ANY WHO ATTEMPT TO INJURE MY SON THROUGH MEANS OTHER THAN THEIR OWN FISTS SHALL ANSWER TO ME, GOT IT?!" His voice bellows like a monster.

As if acting as the sheep, the citizens scramble to organize themselves wrapping around the track and out the gates.

"That goes for you too." Yujiro bids walking away.

"W-Wait!" Doing so, he does not turn. "H-How…? How can you let me go when… when I…!"

"As a father, I want nothing more than to crush your head in for what you tried to do." Yujiro speaks, making the man widen. "But as of right now, I can no longer call myself such a thing. So this is all I can do to atone for my own mistakes." He bids, the heaviness of his vague words making the man allow tears to roll as he drops to his knees.

Lingering on his father's disappearance, Relon turns his attention to the sound of footsteps approaching him. A round-shaped man.

"Tell me, did my daughter truly fight until her last breath?"

"... Yeah. She and everyone saved me."

"Then why… How did she…?" The man stifles his growing rage.

"I'm sorry." He snaps up to Relon who is now the one to look at the ground. "I was simply too weak to save myself."

As if a gear, the man's brain turns. With a strong step towards the unmoving teen, the Public Beating began.

Day 2 - 1:59 AM

Vision blurred, body long since numb, Relon can only look on at the flashlight from the now numerous helicopters. The wails of the last civilian having just beat the shit out of him now pulled away by officers. A long horn being an indication he has long wanted to hear but didn't deserve.

Sensing the familiar presence of the chancellor stand over him, he doesn't budge. He can only ball his outstretched hands as he slowly rolls over. The numerous spots of blood now visible. The mere fact he was knocked like a ragdoll all over the field finally clicking in his head as he eases at a kneeling position.

"My fellow citizens, this concludes day one of the Public Judgment against Relon Lucinance. In eight hours, we shall commence day two."

Weakly lifting to the blurry sight of civilians denouncing the injustice, he finds himself unable to makeout their face despite the close proximity.

"Pip…" Before he can utter the other half of his faithful partner, he feels the comfort of its handle slip into his hand.

Gracing it with a weak smile, he senses Osborne back away as flames wash over his body.

"I know you're all angry." He speaks as the flames begin to dissipate. "I understand that powerful emotion better than anyone. That's why… I'm the only that can do it." He breathes out, no injuries in sight apart from his clothing and the dry blood.

"Surely, you're-"

"I'm fine, Osborne." He dismisses with a hand. "I just needed to catch my breath. That's all."

"... You're serious."

"When am I not?" Relon tiredly bats him an eye, releasing Pippin as it flies back to Yujiro. "The will of the people is something I couldn't handle. The sheer density of it was something that felt suffocating. But now, I feel as though I'm adapting." He slowly raises back up. "In honor of those that died for me, I need my will to match those of their families. So let's keep going!" He breathes out looking directly at the next person in line.

"That trick of yourself only heals external wounds it seems." Osborne notes.

"Your conspicuous observations won't dissuade me." Relon says catching his breath. "The agony all 332 have beseeched thus far, it isn't fair to those who've been waiting to have to wait even longer."

"Aidios, he's pulling off something insane again." Lechter sighs. "I should have seen this coming."

"I'm surprised you didn't." Claire comments, her eyes having never left her lover's position.

"Well, my instincts were telling me but I was hoping they were wrong. I'm guessing you know since you're his lover?"

"I couldn't call myself his if I didn't perceive him pulling a stunt like this."

"Sheesh, barely a month together and already got a handle on him. Watch out Relon, you got one hell of a cougar." He shudders. "So are you going to stay here the entire time cause even you need sleep, especially after 24-hours."

"It would be wise of you to both get sleep while you can." Lechter snaps to Yujiro, landing before them without either sword. "Lacking focus when you're overwatch can lead to a lot of shitty outcomes." He notes of Claire gripping her arm tighter at the fact.

"Jeez, don't scare us like that. But, you're not wrong there." Lechter allows a yawn to escape him. "Claire." His tone noticeably different, causing her eyes to finally meet his. "Come on."

Looking to Yujiro vanish, she can only clench a fist as her eyes linger on Relon. A large group of officers switching out with another. The momentary movement allowing her to clearly see how focused and determined the hybrid is.

"Relon's relying on us to watch his back after all."

Though we're nowhere near as good, much less fast like his pops. Lecher sweatdrops while averting his gaze.

"Fine." She sighs in defeat. "No point fighting against the truth."

Pushing off the wall, both give one more glance at the crowd. The sound of smacking, thumping, and grunting clearly hear as the crowd watches on.

Day 2 - 10 AM

"My little brother, he just graduated! Are you telling me all that hard work he put it… was so he good die for you?!"

"I'm sorry."

"My twin brother's birthday was supposed to be that day! Instead of celebrating it, all I could do was mourn his death!"

"I'm sorry."

"My dad was a good man! My mother left us when I was only a little girl! She didn't care about me or him! So why, why did he have to leave me too?!"

"I'm sorry."

"My fiancée…! We were going to start our lives together! All of a sudden she's called to action for what?! To save you?! Tell me, why did it cost her own life?!"

"I'm sorry…"

"You're nothing but a weakling. A child in over their head. Just because you were raised by a man as great as the Wandering Beast doesn't make you him."

"... I'm sorry."

"A kid?! Some boy is the cause behind my wife's death?! DON'T SCREW WITH ME! YOU WERE THE SO CALLED 'GREAT INSTRUCTOR' THAT MY DAUGHTER SPOKE OF! HOW, HOW, COULD SOMETHING AS DEVEASTING AT THAT HAPPEN BECAUSE OF YOU?! I WANT ANSWERS, GODDAMN IT!"

"I'm sorry…"

"I never thought I would go back into depression. Meeting him, he saved me. And then you, you took him away! Give him back! Give me back my only friend! Give me back my happiness! Give me back my reason to live!"

"... I'm sorry."

"Why…?! How?! Answer me! Stop saying you're sorry, you little piece fo shit! Answer me, damn it! Why did he have to die?! My brother! What happened that day?!"

"I'm… sorry…"

Senate

Watching from his throne, Sephiroth gazes at Relon through a screen. The Lucinances situated around him.

"What's the point of him doing something as dumb as that?" Krovanh mutters.

"He's appeasing the civilians the only way he believes to be feasible." Asuma answers. "Though…"

"At this rate, we may not have to waste our time killing him." Agria beats him to the punch.

"No." All look to their father. "Do not underestimate him. That is how you all lost." His tone stoic as is his demeanor without his mask. "He will prevail through this small ordeal. What he does next remains to be seen."

"Seems that cousin of yours is taking a hit for the chancellor." A feminine voice hums gaining all's attention though Sephiroth's gaze does not depart from the screen.

Walking out flames, the Leaguient gives a cocky smirk with hands at her waist. Donned in the usual cloak as all Leaguients wear, the individual lowers their hood to reveal a female. Scarlet hair in a braid resting over her shoulder, she has red eyes.

"Big sis Flemeth." Krovanh says to furrow his eyes. "Shouldn't you be keeping an eye on the others alongside Narmaya?"

"Oh, she and Zenovia got that under control."

"Kukuku, those big-boobed bimbos can deal with that."

"Jealous as ever." Krovanh sighs. "You know you should give that a rest-" Unable to finish with as her three-pronged weapon points centimeters from his eyes, he stiffens.

"Wanna finish that, bro?"

"I'm good." He averts his gaze for Agria to lower her weapon.

"You two." Asuma sighs walking past them towards Flemeth. "What's new, sis?"

"Nothing much. Same old, same old. Leaguients are doing their jobs around the continent still. Seems a Leaguient or two is getting situated in Calvard."

"Already?" Krovanh questions joining the two.

"They better be considering how much time they've had." Agria adds in an annoyed expression.

"Though to think there's still so much we haven't been capable of obtaining further west…"

"Patience, Asuma." Sephiroth speaks, all looking up to him as he walks their way. "Five percent of Aidios has already left this world leaving only the other five somewhere amongst Erebonia. Should we find that, nothing will be capable of stopping us."

"Considering you had the other Leaguients and I hold back against those humans, it better be worth it Daddy." Flemeth crosses her arms. "Do you know how boring it is watching the others act superior just because I have to hide being a Lucinance? It's sooooooo boring! That damned Warzack and Porunga got to have all the fun with the prince and his bodyguard."

"We all have our role to play. Yours is vital as well, my child. Snuffing out any who have even an inkling at my allegiance."

"Yes Daddy, I know. Still, it gets boring. I wanted in on the fun when Alister showed up." She grins at Asuma who scowls at the woman. "Seeing you get into a fist fight with him and Relon was so quite the sight, you know. I just wish I could have warmed up a bag of popcorn." She sighs.

"Tch, don't bring that up Flemeth. Next time-"

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. Next time you'll finish it blah blah blah." She waves for all to stop. "Seems someone wants an audience with you guys." She steps back being coated in flames. "See ya later~." She bids before disappearing in flames.

"That woman I swear." Asuma shakes his head in disapproval, Sephiroth returning to his throne as the doors open.

"Well, well, if it isn't Grimoire." Agria grins. "What's up, lil' witch?"

"My lords." She gives a curt bow before kneeling before Sephiroth. "I wish to kill the Senate Hunter."

Gawking at the sudden request, all exchange looks of disbelief before looking to their father.

"Denied." He answers. "As I have stated back then, I wish to groom him into a Lucinance that can be of use to my cause. Killing him is out of the question." Tensing at the power behind his words, she remains locked on the red carpet leading to the throne "Although…" Looking up to her leader in thought, she widens. "Having him gain experience would prove viable…"

Day 3 - 6 PM

"Damn..." Sara averts her eyes from a tunnel entrance at the sight of Relon.

Walking out, she looks to the setting sun. Sensing someone near, she turns to the sight of the Wandering Beast.

"If you have a message for him, I'll pass it along." He speaks.

"Heh, I believe this is our first time speaking Mr. Wandering Beast." She gives a coy grin.

"I suppose so, Purple Lightning." He returns the gesture.

"Hmpf, so much for acting."

"Intel gathering is something I'm good at. Don't beat yourself over it. Though you have my thanks for looking out for the kid."

"Don't thank me, I couldn't do much when it mattered most."

"None of us could." He corrects. "Now then, your message."

"Tell my chosen student this…"

Day 4 - 2 AM

Panting as Pippin heals him, his vision adjusts to the text in the ground Pippin carefully and subtly writes out.

[Stay strong, Relon! - Class VII]

Exhaling as flames disperse around him, he looks now empty line.

"Seems I was able to do it…" He mutters.

"Indeed." The voice of Osborne greets, both taking in Yujiro land before him as Claire and Lechter walk their way. "With one day to spare no less."

"That's the last in association with the fallen soldiers, boss." Lechter notifies. "A total of-

"2,372 have been tallied." Relon speaks, beating him to the punch.

"That's right… You kept count for roughly four days straight, didn't you?"

"Why wouldn't I?" Relon breathes gently, still getting his bearings. "It's partially my fault it happened after all. The least I can do is listen to the people's rants. They too… have feelings after all…" He says taking a step to stumble as Claire catches him.

"And so do you." She notes helping him to stand.

"I'll take him from here." Yujiro states tossing Relon over his shoulder. "Meet you all back at the Palace." He bids as with a mighty leap, they're in the sky.

Palace

"OOF!" Relon grunts having literally been tossed by Yujiro onto his bed. "You… could have been… more gentle." He winces.

"When have I ever been gentle?" He arches an eyebrow before leaving, Pippin and Pappan floating over to the usual corner.

"Ugh… phrasing…" Relon groans, lifting himself up. "Nameless, you there buddy?" A moment of silence for nothing to come. "Now I'm even more worried… I need to check… on Noro while I'm at it…"

"Where do you think you're going?" Lifting his tired head, he's met by a familiar princess and her partner in crime.

"Um, No-"

"No indeed. I'm glad we're on the same page. Now, bed mister."

"Wait what…?Alfin…?"

"You heard the princess, Instructor. Going against her orders isn't a wise move to make." Musse smiles.

"But I-"

"No. Buts. Noro's health is still stable." Alfin states as both walk into the room.

"You checked?"

"Yes. As both her older sister and as a princess, it is my duty to care for her well-being." She states knowingly.

"Are you upset?"

"Of course, why wouldn't I be? A maiden whose own heart is overflowing at the brim in worry finds the very cause to be pushing himself too hard. Again no less! Four days straight of no rest, sleep, or any food?! Have you gone mad?!"

Flinching at the truth, he attempts to speak only for a finger to grace his lips.

"Ah, ah, ah. There's no charming your way out of this one Instructor~."

About to continue, he takes in their serious though caring demeanors forcing him to let it go.

"Fine. I surrender." He falls back onto the bed catching his breath. "What are you two even doing up this late?"

"Worrying about you of course." Musse answers, taking a seat to his right.

"It's true that bodyguards tend to the royal family but they too have feelings. Something I know all too well." Alfin adds.

"Okay, I get it! I walked into that one." He sighs for both to lighten up.

"Good. Now shall we head for bed?" Musse smiles for his tired eyes to buck wide.

"Sumimasen, huh?!"

"What did you just say?"

"Luna, I'm so tired I'm speaking an unknown language. That or gibberish."

"Bedtime!" Alfin clasps her hands in worry and haste.

"Come on, Instructor. You need some rest~." Musse crawls lifting the blanket to pat the middle space while laying on her side.

"What about Claire?" Relon asks Alfin.

"Already knows." She smiles.

"Oh, Instructor~. Come on, let's fulfill one of our secret fantasies~."

"... Alfin, I don't ask for much from you. We both know that to be true but-"

"Nope."

"Damn it, Alfin." He breathes slowly rolling over to sit properly on his knees.

Giving the sheets a slow pat, Musse hums in delight as Relon accepts his fate followed by Alfin.

"I'm not doing this to fulfill some fantasy." He bluntly declares.

"I know~."

"Nor am I doing this for you."

"I know~."

"Teehee, but we are going to enjoy the moment while we can." Alfin smiles as they both cuddle against the teen.

Alfin's hands cupping his own as Musse wraps her arms around his. Succumbing to the pleasure and grogginess, he can only muster out two weak words.

"I know…"

Unknown

The gentle rumbling of his body stirs him awake.

Mmm… Huh?

Blinking in order to adjust to the sunlight, Relon's vision adjusts to the bright sun out the windows lined up side-by-side.

What the…?

Sitting up from… his seat? Looking around, he finds himself on a train.

A dream? No… If it was, I wouldn't be conscious to the fact. I can't control my own body nor can I even speak Then…

"So, Aidios bestowed you with the Perception of Time. One of the many godly abilities to experience glimpses of the past and future in-person as though you were physically there… even if your body was not. Fascinating." The voice of Sephiroth resurfaces.

So this must be that. The Perception of Time. This is the third time now it's happened. The first that night in Legram after Mister. The second after my fight with Krovanh. And now tonight. Yet…

"Nameless?" Older Relon responds, puberty having dropped his voice's octave down a note or two.

Stepping into the aisle, he looks down an aisle, his eyes slowly scan the empty trolley before they refocus to the window. Not the blurring landscape but rather his reflection. The sight making him widen. Still retaining his red and black theme, he notes of his age slightly older. Seeming to be around 20. His scruffy hair much the same as his teenage counterpart albeit his two bangs have descended further now past his collarbone. His attire consists of an attire similar to Yujiro except it's a dark-red color with a purple sash around his waist. Older Relon has a sleeveless black coat splitting at the front and back ending at his knees with an upgraded pair of black boots. Both Pippin and Pappan in their sheaths are situated in the seat across from where he once sat. As well as a beautifully designed rifle on the seat next to them.

Only now, I'm seeing a glimpse of the future.

"Oh? You're awake much earlier than usual." A slightly familiar voice greets for Relon to turn.

Meeting a minty-green haired young woman, Relon mentally widens at whom it is. Said individual wearing a blue uniform with the Thor's branch logo and thigh-high brown boots.

Musse?!

"I just happened to wake up." Older Relon responds. "That's all." He takes a seat once more. "Where's Rean?"

"Most likely checking on Valimar."

Valimar? Who's Valimar?

"Tita and Agate?"

"I believe they were in one of the trolleys which Rean passed through."

Who's Tita and Agate?

Seeing the teaser lower her eyes to pout, he looks back at her.

"You look good in the uniform by the way." He adds, Musse's mouth curving back to her usual smile. "Even the hat is a nice touch."

"Awe, I'm glad you noticed~." She does a single spin making Relon avert his gaze. "Though you've always been fond of small hats." She muses taking a seat next to him.

"Musse…" He scrunches his hands.

"I know. I'm sorry." She leans on his shoulder as Relon leans into his seat.

Is she referring to Claire? Did something happen?

"Don't be. You're just being you. That's something I'm thankful to Luna for allowing you to retain after what happened to you three."

Wait, did something happen to Musse too? And who's the third?

"Your words woo me more and more everyday, Instructor~."

"Heh, I'm still not trying." He dismisses to feel the young woman lean more into him to which he closes his eyes twitching his eyebrow. "Musse…"

(I'm not trying either, my lovely Relon~.) She purrs in his ear.

"I'm going to check on Rean." He stands to his feet for Musse to giggle.

"I'll be here waiting~." She waves as his body gets into the aisle and heads for the rear trolley.

Okay, some things never change. But still, that was way over the top. What the hell happened between us? Whatever it was, we're a lot closer. And did she call me by my name? It's not odd but.. why did that sound…? You know what, not even gonna finish that thought.

Entering the next trolley full of people, the sound of the door closing gains some of the passenger's attention for murmurs to suddening begin.

(Look, it's the Senate Hunter…)

(Don't make eye contact!)

(He must be looking for the Ashen Chevalier…)

The Ashen Chevalier? Who's that? Rean? One of the others mentioned?

(The bloody murderer, if I could, I'd-)

(Shhhhh! Do you want him to hear you?!)

Looking forward down the aisle, he continues on ignoring the many voices. Eventually reaching a cargo trolley as indicated by the numerous equipment and boxes, his eyes fall upon a few figures as well as what seems like a humanoid machine.

Is that an archaism?

"A seven-arge-tall humanoid weapon…" A masculine voice sounds from up ahead belonging to the red head. "A Panzer Soldat or somethin', yeah?"

Panzer Soldat? That thing? Relon thinks as his body moves forward. Wait, what's a Panzer Soldat?

"No, I don't think so." The young blonde girl shakes her head. "This is the Ashen Knight, isn't it?"

Ashen Knight? Ashen Chevalier? What the hell are these titles?

"Get outta here…"

"Correct, Tita." Relon's voice joins in before the last figure can say anything. "I wouldn't expect any less from a smart girl like you."

"Finally awake, huh? Did you get enough beauty sleep?"

"Agate!"

"Heh, hell no but some is better than none." Relon shrugs, the two men dabbing the other up.

So he's Agate and she's Tita. Seems I get along with them.

"How goes it Rean, Valimar?"

Rean?

Looking to his fellow God-Inheritor, Relon takes in his new outfit. Rean's hair still black though now with a hint of indigo mixed in. His attire is a long white overcoat with belt-like attachments on the shoulders, a flared collar and a loosely worn purple belt. He also wears a black zipped shirt over a white buttoned shirt, black trousers and a red suspender belt for carrying his tachi.

And Valimar? The machine before him an ash color.

"I was just checking on Valimar. We'll be arriving at Leeves soon."

Levees?

"Schwarzer, are you back here?" Another voice speaks for all to turn meeting a well-dressed ginger. "Ah, I see Lucinance is here as well. I'm surprised your maiden isn't clinging to you." He jokes.

"Haha, very funny Patrick." He responds dryly with a droop of his vermilion eyes. "We're not lovers, only partners. So what's up?"

"We'll be arriving in five minutes. Are you both prepared?"

"We're all set." Rean answers.

"Same here. Musse too."

"Sorry for holding you up. We should get ready ourselves as well." Agate says.

"Right. Thank you for talking with us." Tita bids, both departing past Patrick.

"See y'all later." Relon bids.

"Who were those two?" Patrick wonders approaching the young men. "They didn't seem like your everyday civilians."

"They're from Liberl." Relon reveals. "Going off of her uniform, she'll be a student at Thors too."

"Looks like we'll be seeing more of them at our new job." Rean surmises to receive a nod from Relon.

"I'm heading back to make sure Musse isn't up to anything." Relon bids becoming encased in flames.

This is…!

As the flames subside, his vision reveals himself back in the empty trolley.

"Welcome back, Instructor~."

"I hope you remember that when we get there, you're to-"

"Not be affectionate, dismiss all lines of teasing both about and related to you as well as retain a professional relationship." She rolls her eyes as she lists what she must have heard dozens of times. "I'll behave."

"Good."

"Until we get to work or are alone~."

"Musse..." He crosses his arms sporting a knowing look for the girl to huff.

"Fine, fine. Excuse me for caring…" She pouts looking out the window.

"You know I'm saying this as a precaution. I failed once in protecting you and look at what happened. I don't-"

Silenced as Musse appears in front of him seemingly in an instant as an odd light fades, his eyes lock onto her warm lips curving once more into a smile.

"I know. I've said it before and I'll repeat myself as much as need be. It's because of that honest yet caring attitude that made me fall for you all those years ago. That time when you revealed to me your powers, I was determined to find a way to support you just as Laura and Claire had. And on that day when we were attacked by that Leagueint, I realized that what I received was something I could use to learn. Something I could use to understand and see the world through your eyes. Something that could protect you, Relon."

".. You know my feelings on being protected and… that." He sighs.

"I do." She nods as both sit down. "Even if you do not reciprocate these feelings, I want to be that shoulder both you and the Senate Hunter can use to alleviate any pain, no matter how small. With Romancia by my side, I was more determined than ever to understand you. To stand by your side no matter what." Both now look at the rifle next to the divine swords for Musse to rest her head once more on his shoulder.

"... Once again, you leave me speechless Musse." He murmurs, settling into the ambient mood.

"We're partners after all, teehee."

Musse…

"Now arriving at Leeves Station. I repeat. Now arriving at Leeves station. We will be stopped for ten minutes to unload cargo."

Departing alongside Rean, the three accompanied by Patrick stop outside of the train to the sight of bystanders mumbling comments in the form of praises of the "Ashen Chevalier." While others hiss and mutter over the "Senate Hunter."

"It would appear little has changed." Patrick notes. "The Ashen Chevalier is beloved by the masses as ever."

"While the Senate Hunter is met with only scorn." Musse sighs.

"Well, I tried to lay low this past year but that didn't go as planned." Rean chuckles rubbing the back of his head. "I'm still not used to the media."

"You get used to it." Relon shrugs. "Including the interview requests." Both men shudder at the mention. "I lost count at the number of times I had Musse deal with those."

"Hehe, it was nothing~."

"At least you had someone to deal with them." Rean bats him an eye. "Fie was too busy with bracer work."

"Awe, you poor thing~." Musse teases for both to glare at the girl.

"Anyway, I'm heading out. Thanks again, Patrick." Relon bids as he and Musse leave Rean to give his parting words to their fellow Thors graduate.

"Spring once again~." Musse hums stretching her arms taking in the warm breeze. "Ah, it reminds me of-"

"We agreed to never bring that up." Relon dismisses stifling a blush. "If Laura or Claire ever found out, I'd be a dead man."

"You know you liked it~."

"We're ending this conversation."

What the hell happened?

"Well, here we are." Rean says walking from behind them. "Did I… miss something." He crosses his arms grinning.

"Nothing at all. Levees seems like a quaint town." Relon says switching topics. "I almost forgot how different the suburbs west of Heimdallr were."

"Almost reminds me of Trista." Rean adds. "There are even lino flowers blooming here."

"Instructor Relon, would you care for a stroll later~?"

"You already know the answer, Musse." He rolls his eyes.

"Good, I look forward to it teehee."

"You… That… Damn it, Musse."

"With how long you two have known each other, I'm surprised you fell for that."

"Sometimes I get too comfortable around Musse."

"It's all about patience~." She hums bumping Relon's side with her own.

"Come on, let's go."

"Rean? Relon?"

Halting mid step, Relon slowly turns along with the rest to see nothing at first except for… a floating hat? Looking down, they're met with a familiar petite young lady.

Towa?!

"Towa?!" Both exclaim.

"Haha! It really is you guys! Musse too!"

"Teehee, hello again Captain Towa~."

Captain?

"Awe, just Towa is fine when it's just us Musse. I go by Ms. Herschel around the students though." She smiles. "But wow! The magazine didn't do either of you justice! You both look more mature now! Did you both get taller too? I almost didn't recognize you!" She giggles to note the stunned looks on the protagonists' faces. "Oh? Did you not recognize me, either?" Both can only dumbly shake their heads. "Haha, I definitely haven't gotten taller, but I'm hoping my new work uniform adds some womanly charm. O-Or maybe show my figure's filled out a little bit more-"

"O-KAY!" Relon abruptly says, Musse wearing a smile laced with what can obviously seem devilish though Towa seems to not notice.

"Hold on a sec." Rean says afterwards, both calming themselves.

"Hmm?"

"It's just, well, we haven't seen each other in a while, and neither of us-"

"Mainly Rean." Relon adds his two cents.

"Couldn't ever get a hold of you. Now here you are, showing up out of nowhere dressed for work in the same town we're about to start work in?"

"I guess we have Aidios and Luna to thank, huh?" Towa giggles.

"All Luna." Relon scoffs for the group to laugh at his normal attitude.

"Well, shall we be off?" Rean gestures.

"We shall." Both women nod, the three looking to Relon.

"You guys go ahead. I need to take care of something first." He says withdrawing his ARCUS, a newer model by the looks of things. "It'll only take a second."

"Okay then, don't be late though!" Towa reminds for Relon to chuckle, the girl not noticing the odd looks Rean and Musse give him respectively. "I wouldn't be late for the world, President." He nods gesturing to the two for the three to depart.

Looking as they are a good distance away, Relon takes a seat at one of the benches around the fountain.

"Hey, younger me, you're in there aren't you?"

Huh? Whoa, whoa, whoa, how can-

"I can't hear you but I also can't hear Nameless all of a sudden so that must mean you're currently having a vision thanks to the Perception of Time Luna gave us. Considering this is my first time feeling something as odd as this, I'm guessing that this is also your first time seeing into the future. Our future." He sighs looking at some children running around the fountain.

My future self talking to my present self, this is too weird.

"I bet you're thinking how weird this is. Your future self talking to himself of the past, or in your case your present self." He chuckles, crossing his arms. "You already know the numerous theories on altering the future thankfully so I won't hassle you and myself with that." He states to lean forward, his eyes glossing at the tiles around his feet. "Don't tell anyone of what you saw. None of the interactions, none of the names mentioned, none of the hints about anyone we know. Not even about Musse." His tone understandably serious. "I've made some choices that weren't the smartest in hindsight. You'll be met with those same choices I made when I was your age. As the Senate Hunter, you can try to distance yourself from Laura, Claire, and Musse all you want. It won't work as you can see." He chuckles. "I can't say much on mom and dad but just follow your heart in regards to those ordeals. Be careful on your dates, they'll be hectic but you already figured that." Another chuckle. "Let's see… You just got back from the public beating…" He pauses.

How can-

"We'll learn a few things when it comes to the Perception of Time. Stay close with your family. Even if you want to push away from them." He takes a deep breath, the roughness a sign of holding back negative and depressing emotions. "Considering I'm the bigger expert regarding influxes with time, listen carefully. Aurelia, Crow, and Millium; make sure they live. I… I was too caught up in my own stuff to save any of them. When the time comes, you'll know. Don't make the same mistakes I did. Out of everything, those are my biggest regrets. Hopefully, when you get around to it, they'll survive and I'll be looking at a few familiar faces." He stands up.

Aurelia… dies…?

"Remember; your strength alone will be your best weapon and your even greater enemy. I'm sure you'll figure out what that means. You're me after all." He grins to the sky as he departs towards the school in the distance.

Relon…

As if on cue, the clouds part allowing the blue sky to be seen. The blue begins to transition to white as nothing more can be seen.

Day 4 - 8 AM

Eyes fluttering awake, he stares at the ceiling.

"I'm back." Relon mumbles to him.

It would seem so.

Widening, he remains still realizing he's hunkered to the bed by both girls sleeping peacefully.

Nameless…

Forgive my absence. It would seem the time I estimated for my recovery was inaccurate.

Ahaha, it's fine. You didn't miss much.

Indeed I did not. The multitude of emotions each civilian exhibited these recent days were… difficult to comprehend.

You saw?

Yes. Though I could not speak, I could still see.

Oh… Then, did you…?

Yes.

The Perception of Time is something that's helped us thus far. I just wish I knew how it worked.

All three instances in which it occurred were after you were dealt a considerable amount of damage to yourself to the point of unconsciousness. It is possible that could be a hint as to the trigger.

Then how come it never happened with Mister back during our training? Do I need to reach some type of goal mentally as well?

It would seem we have more questions than answers once more.

Right when we start learning one batch of things, more comes out of the oven.

Looking to Alfin, he tries to wrangle his arm free to no avail.

Since when did Alfin get so strong? Sheesh, has she been taking lessons in secret or something?

Attempting to try his luck with Musse, he notices the girl's mouth curving ever so slightly up. Twitching an eye, he pinches her nose together for her eyes to shoot open as she gives a low whine. Letting go, he shakes his head.

(Really?)

(Hehe. My, Instructor, I didn't know you could be so forceful~.)

(You…! Ugh.)

Now with his free arm, he once again wrinkles himself from the sleeping princess for it to come free. Watching Alfin squirm slightly before returning to stillness, he breathes a breath of relief hopping out of the bed quietly landing on his up, he falters to a knee for Musse to hurry to his side.

(You shouldn't push yourself, you're still healing!)

(Where have I heard those words before?) He jokes dryly as Musse helps him to his feet.

Reaching for Pippin to use as a cane, both head for the balcony. Taking in the sunlight, both look to the once bustling crowd no more.

"It seems that once chaotic onslaught has subsided." Musse mumbles.

"Yeah…" Relon says leaning over the balcony. "The world really is a scary place. As are its people."

"Instructor…"

"Thanks, Musse. For being one of the few humans to remain good by me."

"Whatever do you-"

"I know that you know that I'm… different. I mean, look at Pippin." He chuckles.

"Ha… Once again, you see right through my charade." She lowers her shoulders in defeat though her smile remains as silence fills the air.

"Aren't you going to ask?" He muses looking to a lanturn near the sliding door, the memory from his and Yujiro's visit to Ashland resurfacing.

"I do but you should rest."

"Believe me when I say after last night, I'm wide awake now." He gazes at his palm. "Still tired and beat up as all hell but I'm awake." He gives a hardy laugh. "Surprisingly not all that hungry."

"Instructor…"

"You know, I really hated that title but hearing it from you and Alfin, I've come to like it. Thanks again, Musse. I appreciate it. Really." He smiles resting a hand on her head.

"That time when you revealed to me your powers, I was determined to find a way to support you just as Laura and Claire had." The older Musse's word's resurface as does Relon's own.

"As the Senate Hunter, you can try to distance yourself from Laura, Claire, and Musse all you want. It won't work as you can see."

I can't tell what exactly happened between us but… if I can trust anything or anyone, it's the words that came out of my own mouth.

Lowering his left hand before her, a red flame ignites for her eyes to widen.

"I'm a hybrid. Half human, half being from another plane of existence." He murmurs for her to raise up. "I've been elected the Senate Hunter by the leader of the same evil organization that nearly stole Alfin three years ago." Looking to his hands, they slowly clench, Nameless' power slowly rises as vine-like markings begin to appear across his skin for her to take it all in. "On that day, I gained control over this power." Looking to the room, he smiles to which Musse turns, seeing Alfin wearing a smile of her own. "Rage is an emotion that influences my family's power as well as my own. It's what has allowed me to call on his help. It's what always causes an explosion to erupt whenever I use this. Yet now, I think I've exhausted all of my anger. At least for the time being." He ceases his transformation as Alfin takes her spot next to him, both looking to Musse awaiting her next words.

"So this was that secret…" Both nod as her eyes do not leave Relon's. "Why tell me?"

"It's as I said earlier; you've remained good by my side. Only a select few know of the entire story and I want you to be among them. Because you mean a great deal to me, Musse."

Quite the confession, no?

Shut up, Nameless. Not a confession.

"My, Relon, quite the confession~!" Alfin squeals.

"Shut up, Alfin." He rolls his eyes for the blonde to giggle.

You disregard such to me but not to her?

Again. Shut up, Nameless. He ignores controlling the heat rising to his face.

"Relon..." Turning his attention to the greenette, he nearly stumbles from the sudden force.

Looking at her face buried in his chest, she lifts up revealing tears at the corner of her eyes.

"Thank you."

I've always brushed it off never truly knowing how exactly you felt about me, Musse. But now, after seeing a glimpse into the future, I know for certain. That look in your eyes, those two words; all of it equals how you feel for me...

Bidding farewell to the duo, he stretches returning to the balcony.

"Not nice of you to eavesdrop." He comments while leaning on the railing once more.

Batting an eye to the next balcony, out comes Yujiro leaning against his own railing with crossed arms. "Dad." He adverts his neutral gaze back to the city afar.

Simply looking for a moment, he grunts copying Relon's gesture.

"Is it wrong to worry about my son?"

"Being worried and eavesdropping are very different in this situation. Did you forget Nameless' power can sense heartbeats? You can conceal your presence all you want but it won't help against him." Another grunt comes from Yujiro. "Regardless, that's not the issue right now."

"Oh?"

"I'm still pissed. And I still don't forgive you or Aunt Cecily for pulling that shit."

"Tch. Here I thought the girls softened you up."

"The Beyond, you somehow knowing about Ishmelga." He gives him a glance. "Yeah. While Luna was protecting everybody, I could see and here everything." He scoffs. "Add on knowing magic and my grandmother!"

"Hey, I didn't know you two were related!"

"Well you still didn't tell me, a growing boy trying to figure out his identity, damn it!"

"Alright, kid, tell me somethin'. What caused this cause it certainly weren't the princess or that growing succubus of yours."

"Hmm. I had a dream." Relon shrugs.

"About?"

"Who knows?" He turns eyeing the man who's wearing a look of annoyance.

"Really?"

"Yeah, really."

"Smartass."

"Indeed I am. I placed first in the entrance exams after all." He raises his head in triumph to drown it with a breath. "Ugh."

"So, what now?"

For the first time during their banter, he doesn't retort right away. Instead thinking for a moment to release another of his headache-relieving sighs.

"For now, I don't want to fight. Not against villains, not against the people, and definitely not against my friends and family, Dad." He turns to lean his back over the balcony. "I'm really just… tired of it all."

"... I see. Though you know life much less evil itself don't exactly wait." Yujiro says, eyeing the clear blue sky.

"I know… Even if it's only for a day, I just want to go back to being a simple human. Take a rest from being the Senate Hunter. Job's taxing as is. I wanna not train, take Claire out on a date. Something that should have been taken care of a while ago. Tend to Laura, Musse, and Alfin. Just be a normal student at a school. Have some guys night outs even. And so on and so forth."

"Even sex?" He grins a feral grin.

"Obviously." Relon now being the one to scoff. "Considering what we're up against, not to mention the literal devil himself, I would like to not die a virgin. Besides, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't curious with how the books described it."

"Pfft, least u got options."

"One option." Relon glares.

"Options." Yujiro shrugs.

"And we're done here." Relon shakes his head.

"Welcome to the real world." Yujiro scoffs for Relon to roll his eyes.

"Regardless, Senate is out there and I won't always have help. We all just need to get stronger. Simple as that. Here's to hoping they don't pull something the day I get back. Knock on wood."

"And you have something else up your sleeve, don't you?"

"Mom told me to go to Ashland. Said to bring only those I trust. I learned a lot that I didn't say back in the throne room. Though I already have a small list."

"Keep it tight."

"Tell me something I don't know."

"That includes-"

"Not bringing the Icy Maiden, right?" He cuts off with a look. "Yeah, I know what I'm doing."

"Fine, I'll leave it to you then." He shrugs.

"What will you do?"

"Once the funeral is over and you're gone, I'm heading back out to resume intel gathering. I need to make up for lost time." He squats.

"Right…"

"Heh, gonna miss your old man?"

"Not a chance." Relon snorts, waving him off. "If anything comes up, I'll contact you."

"Try not to call me back too soon, Senate Hunter."

"Try to actually be more open about stuff, Wandering Beast. I'll stop by the hospital once I feel refreshed."

"Don't keep us waiting."

Chuckling, Yujiro looks to the sky as Relon does his room. Taking his first step inside, Yujiro launches into the air. Stopping to gaze at the man, his older self's words linger.

"Stay close with your family. Even if you want to push away from them."

Now I can't help but wonder how you handled it, my other me. Were our end results the same? I can't help but second guess my own actions now. Much less where they may lead me…

Worry not about your actions or where they may lead. Trust your instincts.

"Nameless, you do know you're a part of my instincts, right?"

All the more reason to trust them.

Snorting out a chuckle, he shakes his head.

"Ah man, I missed those quips of yours. Hm?" Noting of a new set of clothes on the bed, he walks to peer down the hallway seeing nobody. "Did Alfin or Musse come back to drop these off while I was talking to Dad?" Inspecting the same attire as his own, he shrugs locking the door and heading for the bathroom.

Releasing one last sigh, he disrobes placing everything into a basket before wrapping a towel around himself.

I'm too tired to walk toward the royal bath. And I seriously don't want to run the risk of bumping into anyone right now.

Entering the bath, he reaches for a bath cloth and a bar of soap.

Hm?

"What is it?" Relon asks uncaring as he continues with lathering the cloth.

Someone is outside the bath.

Scrubbing the cloth too hard, the soap goes flying out to hit the wall as Relon's eyes bulge.

(The hell do you mean?! Who?!)

Well…

(Why are you hesitating?!)

Focusing on the door, he can make out the outline of someone with a feminine build undressing.

(Who- Oh for Luna's sake!) "Musse?!" At his beckoning, the door slides open for Relon to snap away.

"You called, Instructor~?" She beams a joyful smile which Relon can somehow feel pierce his back.

"WHY ARE YOU IN HERE?!"

"I came to wash your back, silly~."

"How did you- You planted an orbal camera in my room, didn't you?!"

"Teehee~."

"MUSSE EGRET! GET! OUT!"

Fun Fact: CS 3 Relon's outfit is inspired off of Xeno Vegito from Dragon Ball Heroes
