Channeling Chamber Testimony
June 22, 9:51 AM, District Court, Defendant Lobby No. 3
J and Jaden were waiting for the call to start entering the courtroom. Jaden concerned said "Um….J…"
"Yeah?" J said looking at him.
"Did you know that Belos' daughter is only 18…Just like me…?" Jaden asked her.
"Um. Yeah…Why?" J asked confused.
"I was just thinking how strong she is…" Jaden said looking down "I mean , she's been in Hoenn all this time all by herself, and she's so grown up!"
J nods thinking on it and said "…Yeah, and I'm sure she felt a lot of pressure from her father's reputation."
"…And then you look at me, and, well…" Jaden said looking down "I'm the son of the Grand Master, but I'm still just a little boy. And on top of that, I'm the suspect in a murder trial."
'Um…But I think you're really strong too, Jaden, for all you've gone though…' J thinks
"Good morning!" The voice of Kairi shouted as she came into the lobby. "The two of you look like you're doing well today. I'm happy for you!"
"Hey! Morning Kairily!" Jaden said cheering up.
"You'll be safe today, Master Jaden!" Kairi said firmly.
"Huh? What do you mean?" Jaden asked confused.
"My father is coming today to show his support!" Kairi told him.
"Y-Yeah…Yeah! That's right Kairily!" Jaden said to that
"Hey, Kairin…" J said looking at the little girl.
"…? Yeah, Miss. J?" Kairi asked smiling.
"Um, do you think you could do me a big favor? Could you channel Terra today, too?" J asked of her.
Kairi surprised said "Huh? …I was sort of hoping to sit in the audience today and watch…"
"…Please. It's very important to me. I don't feel confident enough without his help…" J tells her.
"Miss. J! That's enough!" Kairi tells her firmly then added smiling "You can't show weakness in front of the person you love!"
"K-Kairily! N-Not this again…" Jaden said flustered.
"Please, can you do this for us, Kairin?" J asked of her.
"Um…Alright. I'll do it. I'll do it for Master Jaden's sake." Kairi said with a smile. "See you later, then! I'll leave you two to your alone time!" She then leaves.
"…Phew, thank goodness." J said sighing in relief.
"J?" Jaden asked concerned.
"This way, Kairin won't be able to see today's trial…" J tells him.
"…Wh-what do you mean…? What's going on?" Jaden asked her.
J remains silent, but with what she knows and needs to expose is something a daughter shouldn't see about their own father.
June 22, 10:00 AM, District Court, Courtroom No. 2
Everyone had gather in the courtroom and taken their usual spots as the Audience chatters. J stood with Terra being channeled by Kairi and opposite them was Courtney with her Camarupt.
Maccadam bangs his gavel to silence the audience and said "Court is now in session for the trail of Jaden Yuki."
"The defence is ready, Your Honor." J said nodding.
"Let's start already." Courtney said in her usual tone. "Miss. Serial Designation J. I look forward to tonight's news with great joy." She grins "The image of your defeated face will be transmitted all over the world!"
"All over the world, huh?" Terra said smiling noting the cameras "Sounds like you've made quite a name for yourself, J."
"Don't be foolish, you foolish fool wearing the foolishly foolish clothes." Courtney said wagging her finger "The famous one is me! I'm the prodigy who has never lost a case since becoming a prosecutor five years ago." She then readies her whip and said "Naturally, the world's eyes are on me, as I conduct my first trial in this country!"
"Uh, huh…That's nice, Miss. Wittebane" Terra said nodding.
"Hmph. Glad to see you're in such good 'spirits' today, Mr. Yuki." Courtney said smiling.
'Uhh…it's true what they say…Woman really are scary when they fight but the same can be said for guys…' J thinks gulping as she sweats.
Maccadam bangs his gavel and said "Now then. A very interesting theory was presented during yesterday's session."
"That the defendant could have left the Channeling Chamber, correct?" Courtney said arms folded.
"Yes." Maccadam said nodding and brings up on the screens the image of the Black Key "And this key is proof of that. This key, the only key to the Channeling Chamber, was not where it should have been."
"Your Honor, I would like to say one thing before we begin." Courtney said smiling.
"A-Alright…Let's here it." Maccadam said.
"The prosecution has determined that from the time of the murder to the time of arrest, the defendant did indeed leave the room at one point." Courtney states firmly.
"Wh-What?!" J said surprised and the audience murmur also surprised.
"But…Miss Wittebane!" Maccadam said shocked after banging his gavel. He brings up Todd Photo 2 and asked "Then…How do you explain this picture? Are you saying then, that the person in this picture is not the defendant…?"
"I never said that wasn't the defendant." Courtney told the court.
"Th-Then what is the meaning of this…?" Maccadam asked.
"All I am saying is that Jaden Yuki, after killing the victim, exited the room." Courtney said in response. "And I believe that is when he dropped this key."
"Can you substantiate your claim?" Maccadam asked.
"Isn't that what I'm here for?" Courtney asked back "The prosecution would like to call the defendant's uncle, Xehanort Yuki, to the stand."
"…Just as I suspected. Uncle Xehanort…" Terra said to this sighing.
'Poor Terra…He seems really torn by this…' J thinks.
Xehanort was now on the stand with some tea to sip. Courtney then said "Witness. Name and occupation."
"My name is Xehanort Yuki, and I am a Keyblade Warrior in a manner of speaking…" Xehanort said to the court.
"I'm sorry, but what do you mean, 'in a manner of speaking'…?" Maccadam asked only to be whipped "Argh!"
"I don't think anyone really cares." Courtney said firmly. She looks at Xehanort "Now then, after the murder took place, you kept watch over the defendant, correct?"
"Yes, that is correct." Xehanort said nodding and sips his tea. "I performed the Spirit Severing Technique on Master Jaden then."
"S-Spirit Severing Technique?" Maccadam asked.
"A technique to remove a spirit from a body and send it back to the other world. That is…" Xehanort said with a sigh.
"Yes…? That is…?" Maccadam asked only to be whipped again "Mmpth!"
"You. Be quiet." Courtney told him. "Now, witness. Something happened while you were performing this technique, correct?"
Xehanort looks down sighing sadly and said "…Yes, that is correct."
"Wh-What in the world could've…?!" J asked in shock
"Master Jaden….He escaped from the room…" Xehanort told her.
"Wh-What?!" Maccadam said in shock.
Coutney whips her bench and readies it as she said "And here we come to the heart of the matter. Jaden Yuki, while in a possessed state, managed to escape from the Channeling Chamber!"
The members of the court murmer in shock and Maccadam bangs his gavel to silence them saying "Order! Order! Order!" He then looks at Xehanort "Mr. Yuki! Please testify to this court what happened during that time!"
"Your Honor, I will try my best…" Xehanort said nodding.
"I think someone just upped the ante on this trial…" Terra tells J.
Xehanort being to testify on 'Jaden's Escape' saying "After we heard the gunshots, those two broke the door open and entered the Chamber. I requested that Miss. J and the other lad please contact the police troopers. A pistol was hanging from Master Jaden's hand and he was in a daze…Then, quite suddenly, he thrusted me away from himself and escaped from the room. With great strength, he hit the base of my neck and I fainted for a short while…I'm afraid I have no knowledge of where he went after that."
J after hearing that slams her hands down on the bench and asked "Why have you hidden this until now?!"
"I…I did not wish to cause more trouble for Master Jaden." Xehanort tells her sipping his tea. "However,…I must correct falsities when they arise."
"That's right. He is simply correcting a falsity, Miss. Serial Designation J." Courtney added nodding.
'Why is she making it a point to take a stab at me…Never mind.' J thinks sweat dropping.
Maccadam bangs his gavel and said "Miss J, your cross-examination, please."
"My uncle is a very smart and sly person. It's going to be hard for us to find a crack in his testimony…" Terra warned J.
J at that figures best to press every statement starting with the first statement about braking the door to the chamber saying "Hold it! Just now, you said, 'those two.' Who were the two people you were referring to?"
"I was referring to that foreign lad and yourself, good madam." Xehanort said response.
"Um, Todd's not a foreigner…despite how he talks…" J points out sweat dropping.
"Oh, is that so?" Xehanort said at that "I'm sorry…I simply could not understand his atrocious English, not to mention he looked awful!"
'I can already see people in Kanto gearing up for a riot…' J thinks.
"In any case, I have already sent the repair bill to your office, Miss J." Xehanort said smiling.
"Oh, uh, thanks." J said sweat dropping, she could hear her bank account crying. She then presses the next statement about herself and Todd being asked to call the police troopers saying "Hold it! Was it really necessary to have two people do something so simple as call the police troopers? If there was a possibility of escape, then one of us should have stayed behind!"
"Hmm, yes. That is a good point." Maccadam said nodding in agreement.
"At that time, I, myself, was a little confused." Xehanort admits. "On top of which, there was another…"
"Another what, sir?" Maccadam asked.
"Oh, it's nothing. No need to concern yourself." Xehanort said smiling.
'I want to hear the end of that sentence…' J thinks and opts to question further and said "There was another reason you wanted both of us out of that room, wasn't there?!" Xehanort sips his tea remain quiet and she slams her hands down "You must testify! Why did you chase us out of the room?!"
Xehanort sighs sadly and said "…I simply did not wish for there to be more victims." J was taken aback by that "'The lives of both the good madam and that camera man may be in danger…' is what I thought to myself.
The members of the court murmur of this and Maccadam bangs his gavel and said "Well, that was very noble of you, Mr. Yuki."
'This is bad…Now people have a good impression of him and a bad one of us…' J thinks concerned.
"Looks like he caught us napping. That's my uncle for you…" Terra said to that.
J then presses the next statement about Jaden being in a daze saying "Hold it! During our investigation, you stated that you struck the defendant on the head, and this strike caused Jaden to lose consciousness. Do you stand by this statement?"
"I'm afraid I don't. The statement I gave you was a lie…" Xehanort said sadly.
J surprised asked "B-But why would you lie about something like that?!"
"It is very painful for me to say this, however…" Xehanort began to say.
"Objection!" Courtney calls out and said "The witness was lying to cover for the defendant.
'He was…covering for Jaden…?' J thinks on it but questions further slmming her hands down and asked Xehanort "So, you were 'covering for the defendant'?!"
"Well, yes…It was only later that I was informed of what had occurred." Xehanort said smiling. "That the renegade Master Jaden had done something very unexpected…"
"S-Something unexpected?! What, pray tell, did he…" Maccadam began to speak only to be whipped "Oogh!"
"This witness didn't and couldn't have seen what happened." Courtney tells him. "If you want to know what this unexpected thing was, there is always later."
"Y-Yes, very well..." Maccadam said nodding.
'Ugh...Why does it suddenly feel like there's a rock in this pit of my stomach…?' J thinks sweating. She then presses the fourth statement about Jaden shoving Xehanort and escaped saying "Hold it! Was it really that easy for her to escape from you?"
"I'm ashamed to admit to such a thing, however, yes…" Xehanort said sadly.
"But you are physically larger and stronger than the defendant." J said thinking on it. "There is no way he could have escaped from you so easily…"
"Objection!" Courtney calls out and said "Have you forgotten already, Miss. Serial Designation J? What about this picture?!" She shows Todd's Picture 2 saying "Remember that at the time, the defendant was not physically 'Jaden Yuki'."
"…Ack!" J winces at that.
Maccadam shakes his head and said "Hmm…Growing old is such a mysterious thing. Trust me, I know first-hand."
"Basically, Master Jaden's body was still that of the nurse who was also a former athlete he had called." Xehanort said sadly.
"But if he had run away, wouldn't you have given chase right away?!" J asked surprised.
"Well, yes, I would have…however I covered that in my testimony…" Xehanort said to that.
J nods and presses the statement that explained why he didn't pursue Jaden saying "Hold it! You fainted…?"
"I became dizzy, and then collapsed onto the floor." Xehanort explained sadly.
"How long were you unconscious?" Maccadam asked.
"I…I'm not sure. About ten minutes, perhaps." Xehanort said.
"Hmm…" Maccadam said thinking "And the defendant almost certainly went somewhere in that time…"
J nods and presses the final statement about not having knowledge on where Jaden went saying "Hold it! Is that because you were unconscious?"
"Why, yes…" Xehanort said nodding sipping his tea.
'Great, well, now what…?' J thinks and decides to question further saying "So while you were unconscious, you have absolutely no idea where the defendant went?"
"I would think that's obvious, good madam." Xehanort told her.
"If that's true…then how can you know for sure that the defendant left the Channeling Chamber at all?" J asked firmly.
"Now that you mention it…I have to wonder myself!" Maccadam said thinking on it. This also makes the audience murmur in agreement to this.
"It's true that tis witness is not able to confirm this." Courtney said petting her Camerupt. She then adds grinning "But the key word here is 'this' witness."
"What do you mean by that?!" J asked
"It means she had another witness up her sleeve. That's what." Terra tells J. "It looks like Miss. Wittebane is ready to move on to her next witness."
Maccadam bangs his gavel and said "That's enough! From what I can tell, there is nothing wrong with this witness's testimony." He nods "And from what he has said, we can establish that Jaden Yuki did leave the Chamber."
'Hmm…I hope this isn't going to come back and bite us in the rear…' J thinks to herself.
"Now, let's take the next logical step and ask, 'Where did the defendant go after leaving the Channeling Chamber?'" Courtney said.
"Yes, yes…That is exactly what we should b…" Maccadam said nodding only to again be whipped "Eeek!"
"Be quiet, you!" Courtney tells him "Now then, what the escapee had done was she had gone to speak with a certain person!"
"He…He went to speak with someone?!" J asked surprised.
The court chatters in surprise and Maccadam asked "Wh-Who was it?!"
"The prosecution calls Miss Sumire Yoshizawa, who was sleeping in the Side Room at the time." Courtney announces.
"S-Sumire Yoshizawa…?" J said.
"I think you can see where this is headed…" Terra tells J.
Soon Sumire had taken Xehanort's place on the Witness stand and Courtney said "Witness. Name and occupation."
"Um…Okay, so my name is, Sumire Yoshizawa." Sumire said with a smile. "I'm researching parapsychology stuff at the university."
"What is this 'parapsychology'?" Maccadam asked curious
"Um…Let's see…It's like, I guess, most people call it 'occult stuff'." Sumire said thinking.
"Even if that's what most people call it, I can't say I understand what that means…" Maccadam said thinking
"Then I suggest you go home and research it yourself." Courtney tells him.
"Yes, sir." Maccadam said to that.
"Now then, Miss. Yoshizawa, after the murder took place, you spoke with the defendant, Jaden Yuki." Courtney said to Sumire. "Is this correct?"
"Um…Well..hmm…Like I guess…" Sumire said thinking
"If that's the case, then let's hear your testimony." Courtney tells her. "That IS alright, isn't it, Your Honor?"
"Yes, sir." Maccadam said nodding.
'For the love of all things business management, Your Honor, have some spine…For my sake…' J thinks sweating.
Sumire gives her testimony about 'After the Murder' saying "Like, when the channeling started, I was, sleeping in the Side Room. Like, a little later, someone came into the room really suddenly." We see a flashback of Sumire in the Side Room where she sees standing over her was Jaden still chanenling Katsumi "It was, oh my, totally my sister! I, hadne't seen her in so long…I was so happy in, like, a sad way…My sister…She, told me something, totally terrible."
"Now hold your horses, young lady! You're saying the person that entered was your sister?!" Maccadam asked surprised. "Don't you mean the defendant, Jaden Yuki…?"
"Really, now…Your Honor. Jaden Yuki was still in the middle of channeling at that time." Courtney reminded the judge while petting her Camerupt.
"A-Are you saying that the spirit was the spirit of this witness's sister?!" Maccadam asked shocked.
Courtney nods and shows Katsumi's photo on the screens as she says "Yes, Katsumi Yoshizawa. She was a nurse at Dr. Strange's clinic."
"Oh…W-Well…This is…" Maccadam said surprised.
"Witness." Courtney said looking at Sumire.
"Yeah?" Sumire asked.
"In your testimony, you mentioned a 'terrible' thing." Courtney said and aked "Why don't you tell the court what this terrible thing was? I'm sure we'd love to hear about it."
"…Um, like…Do I totally, really have to?" Sumire asked.
"Of course." Courtney told her.
"Miss. Yoshizawa…please." Maccadam said.
"My sister…this is what she said to me." Sumire said
The opening sequence with the car crash replays with the speech that started this episode "That was…no accident…" A voice said as we see a car speeding down a highway at night. "I was drugged…with sleeping pills…I was murdered….by that person…That's why…I took…my revenge…It's only fair…Isn't it…Sumire?"
"She 'took her revenge?'" Maccadam asked. "Are you sure that's what she said?"
"Y-Yes…" Sumire said nodding.
"There, are you satisfied, Your Honor?" Courtney asked smiling.
Maccadam shakes his head "…I still can't believe it. I can't believe that a spirit would go so far as to use a keyblade warrior to get revenge…"
"It is a bit hard to swallow, however, all the evidence and testimonries point to this as the truth!" Courtney points out. She then curtsy bows and said "…The end."
The audience murmur at this and Maccadam asks J "…What do you think, Miss. J? It certainly seems like all the loose ends are accounted for…"
'This…This testimony just now…Was it all made up? Was it just one huge lie…?' J thinks
"Of course it was, J." Terra said smiling hearing her thoughts.
"…Terra! What do you mean?" J asked surprised.
"It's well-constructed…but that's all it is." Terra explained "But even the most well-spun lies can be undone. We can do it, J. Let's find that one loose thread and unwind this tapestry of lies."
J nods and slams her hands down and said "Your Honor! There is room for doubt, so the defence will cross-examine this witness." She points at Sumire "We believe our cross-examination will reveal the real truth behind the murder!"
"Yet again the foolish fool spouts out more foolishly foolish drabble…" Courtney said shaking her head. "I wonder if you'll make this one more entertaining that the last…"
J begins with the fourth statement saying she was happy in a say way to see her sister saying "Hold it! You were…happy in a sad way…?"
"Yeah, I mean, it was my sister!" Sumire said nodding.
"But wouldn't most people react here with surprise at seeing a dead loved one alive again?" J asked her.
"Um, but, like, maybe if I was, someone who didn't know about, the occult. But I know all about the Keyblade Channeling Technique." Sumire explained.
"The point here, is the witness immediately recognized that it was her 'sister'. Courtney summarizes
"Yeah, like, what she said." Sumire said nodding
J thinks and decides to question further saying "So you really didn't think anything 'strange' of the whole encounter?"
"No." Sumire said shaking her head. "Like, there wan't any reason for me to, think anything was 'strange'."
"But…" J said only to be whipped "OWW!"
"Don't keep badgering her." Courtney told J.
"…You know the phrase, 'Objection!'? Could you try using that once in a while…?" J said sweatdropping.
"Hmm…Miss. J." Maccadam said looking at the drone. "This question of what the witness felt when she saw her sister…is it really that important?"
"It is very important!" J said slamming her hands down but thinks 'Although I haven't quite figured out what 'it' is yet. But I've got to bluff for now and make it seem like I know what I'm talking about…'
Maccadam bangs his gavel and said "Alright, Miss. J. Miss. Yoshizawa, please amend your testimony."
"Okay, I'm cool with that." Sumire said nodding and amends the testimony with saying "I wasn't, like, scared at all. And, like, her costume looked totally, like, normal."
"Hold it!" J said pressing this new statement saying "So there was nothing odd at all about your sister's appearance?"
"Yeah. Nothing was, like, weird." Sumire said to that.
'Hmm…' J thinks then sees Terra quietly talking to himself and think 'Hm? …Terra's talking to himself like he's found something wrong…'
"…That's impossible…" Terra then said.
J thinks on that and checks the evidence and then realizes the error in this statement and prepares to present Jaden's jacket on it saying "Objection! That was a very well-spun like, Miss. Sumire." Sumire looked at her surprised.
"Wh-What are you babbling about this time, Miss. Serial Designation J?!" Courtney asked surprised.
"It's well-constructed…but that's all it is." J said smiling
"Stealing MY lines now, are we, J?" Terra asked her.
"Miss. Yoshizawa, may I remind you of what you said?" J said smiling "You said that there was nothing strange about your sister's appearance."
"L-Like, yeah…And…?" Sumire asked concerned.
"But I don't think that's what you were thinking at all. Take a look at this picture." J said and shows on the screens again Todd's Photo 2 "This is a picture of the 'sister' you met. I would think that even you would be surprised if someone appeared before you like this."
"…The blood spray…" Courtney said worried and sweating.
"Miss. Yoshizawa!" J said slamming her hands down. "Why did you not include the blood you saw in your testimony?! If you were really testifying, and not lying, you would have noted it right off the bat!"
"Ummm…!" Sumire said nervous fidgeting her glasses.
The members of the court chatter loudly in surprise at this. Maccadam bangs his gavel and said "Order! Order! Miss. Yoshizawa! What is the meaning of this?!" Sumire remains quiet panicked "…Miss. Yoshizawa?"
"I'm thinking! Don't interrupt me!" Sumire said rather rudely
"…Um, what…" Maccadam said only to be whipped "Eek!"
"And what are you stammering about, Your Honor…?" Courtney asked.
"Um, uh…Well…I…I uhh…" Maccadam stammers nervous.
"That witness…Her personality did a complete 180 there." Terra points out to J.
"Lots of people do that when they get on the stand, though." J said to that. Terra however looks like he was deeply thinking.
"First of all, calm yourself, witness." Courtney said to Sumire.
Sumire calms down and speaks normally saying "Like, I'm sorry. I, didn't mean to snap…"
"Now, hurry up with the testimony." Courtney told her.
"I-If you please…" Maccadam said nervous about being whipped again.
'Ugh…Maccadam still looks a little shaken up…A lot of help he's going to be…' J thinks sweating.
Sumire begins to testify on 'After the Muster, Pt. 2' saying "Like, the Side Room was, like, kind of dark, you know? So, the jacket is, like red, right? The blood totally blended right in. And I, like, persuaded my sister it wasn't, right to do something like that. And then…like, I took my sister to the Channeling Chamber."
"Hmm…Yes, now I see." Maccadam said processing that "And you have give us a clear reason for why you didn't notice the blood."
"You think? Like, thanks old bot!" Sumire said smiling
"Are you satisfied, Miss. J?" Maccadam asked. J had a firm look on her face and he said "Alright, I guess not…Very well. You may question the witness."
J presses the third statement about persuading her sister saying "Hold it! And what was your sister, Miss. Katsumi Yoshizawa, like at the time?"
"Well, she was, totally flipped out because she just shot Dr. Strange…" Yoshizawa explained "But, I think, like, she knew. She said she did something really bad. And, she said she wanted to go with me to, like, apologize to Mr. Xehanort."
"Did Katsumi's spirit really say all that to you…?" J asked sweat dropping.
"Like, yeah…" Sumire said nodding.
J then presses the final statement about taking her sister back to the channeling chamber saying "Hold it! Was your sister calm by that time?"
"Like, I guess so…" Sumire said thinking "I guess maybe, taking her revenge on Dr. Strange, made her feel a lot better…"
"I'd like to feel a lot better too…. Miss Serial Designation J. The sooner the better…" Courtney said clutching her whip and smoke comes out of Camerupt's nostrils.
'She says with her whip and Pokemon at the ready…' J thinks sweating.
"And, like, Mr. Xehanort was the only one in the Channeling Chamber, you know?" Sumire points out.
"May I ask you one more thing, Miss. Yoshizawa?" J asked.
"Oh, sure." Sumire said smiling.
"Was there anything you found strange, unusual, or just out of place?" J asked her.
"Something out of place? Huh? Like, when do you mean?" Sumire asked confused.
"Uh, when…? Um…When you…" J thinks then said "I'm talking about when you were going to the Channeling Chamber, of course!"
"Um…Like, no, nothing strange." Sumire said shaking her head.
'She answered rather quickly…' J thinks and presses harder slamming her hands down "Think harder! I know you can remember something!"
"I, like, totally can't!" Sumire said rubbing her head
"That's not good enough! You have to explain yourself clearly to this court!" J told her.
"Hmm…" Maccadam thinks on it "Do you think, Miss. J, that wheather or not there was something odd on the way to the Channeling Chamber is all that important?"
"I ask because it is VERY important!" J said smiling but thinks '…Not that I know where I'm going with this…'
"Very well." Maccadam said nodding "Miss. Yoshizawa, if you will, please include a statement about this in your testimony."
"Like, I don't get why, but, okay." Sumire said shrugging and says adding to the testimony "I, like, didn't see anyone on the way to, the Channeling Chamber."
"Hold it!" J said pressing this statement and said "Try to remember that time!"
Sumire thinks then said "Oh! Like, I remember! I remember, I totally didn't see anyone on the way."
'Hmm…I guess this really is a dead end…' J thinks
"Something you finally pull out of a witness is never a dead end, J." Terra tells her.
J thinks then remembers that Sumire should have seen at least one person and gets that profile ready and said "Objection! You say you didn't see anyone on you way to the Channeling Chamber…However, that is impossible!"
"…Like, what do you mean?..." Sumire asked confused.
"I'd like to introduce someone to you." J said and brings on to the screens Kairi's profile picture and said smiling "This is Mr. Xehanort Yuki's daughter, Kairi Yuki."
"Interesting, you have a semi-intelligent look on your face." Courtney said smiling "So? What about this child?"
"It just so happens that at the time of the murder, Kairi was playing in the center garden." J explained
"The garden…?" Courtney asked
"Yep!" J said nodding "Which means anyone walking though the area would have to have seen her!" She slams her hands down "So, Miss. Yoshizawa, what do you have to say to that?!"
"Nnaaaawrrr!" Sumire cries out as she fidgets with her glasses.
"Objection!" Courtney calls out and said "As the court can see…despite being smart looking she can be a bit of an airhead at times. Also, she was leading her 'sister' at that time. Do you honestly think she would have noticed a simple child playing?! Preposterous!"
"Objection!" J said and coutners "It's not preposterous, and I can prove it!"
"Wh-What sort of foolish…" Courtney said to that.
"There is no way someone walking along the Winding Way could not have noticed Kairi!" J said and presented the Sacred Urn saying "Take that! This urn is my proof."
"An old, cracked clay pot? What is that going to prove?" Courtney asked.
"Do you know why it's cracked? It's because Kairi broke it! That's why!" J tells her
"She broke the urn…?" Maccadam asked but is then whipped "Yeow!"
"Why…Why do I feel like you're about to ruin my beautiful day…?" Courtney said to J.
J slams her hands down and said "This urn was broken around the time the channeling started!"
"Ah!" Sumire said to that.
"And Kairi was the one who put it back together…" J continues to explain "…while sitting right in the middle of the Winding Way!"
"WH-WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?!" Sumire cries out in complete shock. The member of the court also shocked chattered loudly and Maccadam silences them banging his gavel.
"Miss. Yoshizawa." J said looking at her who looks nervous "Kairi was there in the Winding Way at the time. She was hard at work, putting the pieces of the urn back together, you see." She slams her hands down "If you couldn't see that while you were walking, I'd have to declaire you legally blind!"
"G…Grrrr…" Sumire lets out.
"I think I have sufficiently proven one thing, Miss. Yoshizawa." J told her slamming her hands down "You are a masterful liar!" Sumire cries out
Maccadam bangs his gavel and said "Miss. J! You need to watch what you say!"
"The one who needs to watch what she's saying is the witness!" J said back. "So, Miss. Yoshizawa! Tell us the truth!"
"A-About what?!" Sumire asked nervous.
"About what?!" J said slamming her hands down. "About where you really were at the time of the murder of course!"
"Objection!" Courtney called out and said sweating "The witness just testified about that!"
"Th-That's right!" Sumire said panicked still. "I was, like, sleeping in the Side Room…"
'…Can I really believe her? Was she really sleeping in the Side Room…?!' J think but finds there is no way and said slamming her hands down "Your lies end here!"
"Wh-What do you?!" Sumire asked worried.
"The witness says that during the actual murder, she was asleep in the Side Room." J said to the court "And I say that's not possible, because there is clearly a contradiction here!"
"A contradiction…?! Where is this contradiction?!" Maccadam asked
J then explained "Eariler in your testimony, Miss. Yoshizawa, you made the following statement."
"And, like, Mr. Xehanort was the only one in the Channeling Chamber, you know?" Past Sumire said in the recording.
"It's true that at the time, both myself and Mr. Snap were not there. We had gone to call the police troopers." J explained.
"…S-So? Like, what does that have to do with anything?!" Sumire asked her.
"It's very simple." J said and grins asking "Miss. Yoshizawa, how did you know that fact?"
"…H-How…?" Sumire asked worried.
"I concede that Mr. Yuki was the only person in the Channeling Chamber." J said slamming her hand down and pointing at Sumire adding "However, someone who was 'asleep' in the Side Room could not have known that!" Sumire winces at that "Which means, Miss. Yoshizawa! You did, in fact, go to the Channeling Chamber." She slams her hands down "But you didn't go there by way of the Winding Way!"
"Gwaaaaaaaaa!" Sumire cried out and the shocked members of court chatter.
Maccadam bangs his gavel then shows the guidemap of the manor saying "B-But! Look at the mannor guidemap! If one were to go between the Side Room and the Channeling Chamber, one would have to use the Winding Way!"
"Yes, that's right, Your Honor." J said nodding but adds "Which is why…Which is why I ask this very important question! Where was the witness at the time of the murder?!"
"…Umm…Urrr…" Sumire lets out nervous.
"Miss. Yoshizawa! Please answer the question!" J tells her.
"Objection!" Courtney calls out and said smiling as she pets her Camerupt "Don't ask a question off of a baseless assumption, if you please…" J was surprised at that "Well, I suppose since you've put it out on the table, Miss. Serial Designation J…" She whips her bench and finishes with "you might as well answer the question for us! Where was the witness at the time of the murder?!"
"Now's your chance, J." Terra tells her.
"Yeah!" J said nodding.
"The only person who could have killed Dr. Strange was Sumire Yoshizawa!" Terra said firmly "So now is the time to prove it!"
"Now, then, Miss. J. Let's hear your answer." Maccadam said nodding bringing up the Mannor guidemap. "Where was the witness when the murder took place?"
"Take that!" J said presenting the spot being the Channeling Chamber on the screen. "Miss. Yoshizawa was here, of course!"
"Wha…But…But that's…the Channeling Chamber…" Maccadam said shocked.
"Isn't that the crime scene?!" Courtney asked surprised.
"That's right!" J said nodding "Miss. Yoshizawa was at the scene of the crime!"
The members of the court murmur and Maccadam bangs his gavel to silence them "Order! Order! Order! …That's….Why that is…" He is whipped "Uwaah!"
"Miss. Serial Designation J! Have you lost your mind?! Yesterday's testimony established that only the victim and the defendant were in the Chamber when the channeling started!" Courtney said firmly.
"Yes! Yes, that is correct! Please, explain yourself, Miss. J!" Maccadam said nodding.
"Simple. Miss. Sumire Yoshizawa was hiding at the scene of the crime." J said.
"I…I was hiding?!" Sumire asked still panicked and as the floor plan of the Channelign Chamber was brought up asked "Where?! Like, where was I hiding?!"
"Take that!" J said pointing to the right of the Folding Screen "Here, of course."
"B-Behind the folding screen?" Maccadam asked surprised but is whipped "Aah!"
"Don't make me say this again! Recall yesterday's testimony!" Courtney tells J and plays the recording of Todd's testimony
"There ain't no way about was hanging out behind that folding screen!" the recording of Todd said/
"See! You stupid jerk!" Sumire said squeezing her glasses in anger as her personality flipped again. "Quit being so quick to pin it on me, slimebot!"
"…N-Now, now…Miss. Yoshizawa…One so yong as you shouldn't be saying…" Maccadam said concerned.
"Shut it, old bot! As if you know exactly how old I am!" Sumire calls out.
"I-I'm sorry!" Maccadam said taken aback.
'Looks like the pipe's about to burst…Guess I should help it along…' J thinks sweat dropping as she looks at Sumire now wearing her glasses as she twirls them and said "The witness was hiding behind the folding screens…With the help of this!" She presents the Clothing Box "Take that!" She slams her hands down "Miss. Yoshizawa! How you were able to hide yourself at the scene of the crim is very simple! You were hiding inside this box!" She smiles as she shows it on the screens.
"Aaah!" Sumire screams out "Th-Th-That tiny little box?! No person could fit in that!"
J shakes her head grinning "Sorry, but you theory has already been disproved." She thinks 'Todd disproved you when he was hiding from me in it.'
"Umm…!" Sumire lets out nervous.
"Objection!" Courtney lets out worried and said "But that clothing box was in the Side Room, right?! Which means it has nothing to do with the murder at all!"
"Th-That's right! I was sleeping there, so I should know!" Sumire said with a nod and a smirk "That clothing box was there in the Side Room, the whole time!"
"Hmm…Miss. J." Maccadam said looking at her "Do you think you can prove where the clothing box was at the time of the crime?"
"Yes, I can with evidence." J said nodding "And now, I present the piece of evidence that will prove this clothing box was at the scene of the crime when the murder took place!" She then presents the Folding Screen saying "Take that! Take a look at this clothing box."
"You're soooo stupid. As if there's any sort of evidence in that old thing." Sumire said confidentaly.
Maccadam's optics widen looking at it "Th-This…What on earth…?!" He was whipped "Mpfh!"
"I don't have time for you to sit there surprised. Hurry up and say it already!" Courtney told him.
"Th-There's a hole! About 8 inches off the ground!" Maccadam reveals.
"Hmm, a hole about 8 inches off the ground. Where have we heard that before…?" J said pretending to think.
"…The folding screen…" Courtney said concerned as it appears on the screens "It had a hole at the same height…"
"That's right!" J said nodding "I hope this has opened your eyes to what happened! At the time of the shooting, the clothing box was sitting behind the folding screen. Which is why the bullet from the pistol hit both the box and the folding screen!" She slams her hands down "It went through the screen, and then into the box."
…Nnngh…!" Sumire lets out at that.
"Miss. Yoshizawa!" J said looking at her. "You were hiding behind the folding screen, waiting for your chance! Yes, for your chance to kill Dr. Strange!"
"Aaaaaaah!" Sumire cries out.
The members of the court speak out and Maccadam bangs his gavel saying "Order! Order! …So what you're saying…."
"Objection!" Courtney called and said presenting Todd photo 2saying "Th-Then…Miss Serial Designation J! What about this picture?! Are you saying that this person in this photo…is Miss. Sumire Yoshizawa?!"
"That is exactly what I am saying!" J said firmly. "Miss. Sumire Yoshizawa! You were hiding inside this clothing box all along! And you wore a medium's costume to masquerade as Jaden Yuki!"
"T-To masquerade as Jaden Yuki?!" Maccadam said surprised.
"She had it planned from the very beginning!" J said nodding smiling "She would kill Dr. Strange, and pin the blame on my client!"
"…N…No…S-Stop…" Sumire said worried.
"…I can't stand to listen to any more of this foolishness!" Courtney said annoyed. "If that's the case, Miss. Serial Designation J, then I have a proposition! This whole idea that the witness moved the clothing box to the crime scene, pretended to be the defendant, killed the victim, and then fled the scene of the crime; It's not possible for one person to do all that by herself!"
J nods in agreement and said "It really is impossible. For one person to do all the preparations, that is." She is whipped "Oww!"
"Need I remind you?! The foolish receive no mercy…" Courtney told her.
"W-Wait!" J said before she was whipped again. "Miss. Wittebane…You said it was not possible for 'one person', correct?"
"Wh...! Y-You can't be serious…" Courtney said concerned figuring it out. Meanwhile Sumire was seething in anger.
J slams her hands down and points "Miss. Yoshizawa! You had an accomplice!" She then presents Xehanort's profile saying "Take that!
"…Grr…This person…!" Sumire said angry.
"If it wasn't someone from Keyblade Village, you couldn't have gotten the costume." J explained "And if it wasn't someone from the Yuki household, you wouldn't have that box to use."
"Xehanort….Yuki!" Courtney said in shock.
"Isn't that the wonderful gentleman witness we had earlier?!" Maccadam said in shock.
"What do you have to say to this, Miss. Yoshizawa?!" J asked looking firmly.
"…Grrr…Grrrrrrrrr…" Sumire lets out seething.
"You shot Dr. Strange with your own two hands!" J told him. "Do you deny it?!"
"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!" Sumire lets out as she breaks out and snaps her glasses.
"I think this is what really happened." J said as she begins to recount her theory, we see an image of the clothing box behind the folding screen "The murderer had planted herself at the scene of the crime long beforehand. Dressed in a keyblade warrior's costume and wearing a wig, she pretended to be the defendant." We then see the scene of Jadena and Hugo beginning the channeling "And then, the channeling started. The murderer crept silently towards the other two, both of whom had their eyes closed."
"…First, she drugged Jaden Yuki with a strong sleeping agent." J continued "Then, she stabbed Dr. Strange with the knife." We now see an unconscious Jaden on the floor while Sumire dressed as him smirks opening the clothing box "Next, she hid my client inside the clothing box…She did that so she could take Jaden's place and frame him for the crime."
"…but that's when something unexpected happened." Terra said arms folded.
"Unexpected…?" Maccadam asked.
"Yes." J said nodding. We then see a bloodied Hugo Strange still alive holding his gun "Dr. Strange was actually not yet dead! With the last of his strength, he fired a shot at his attacker! And that is why the hole in the folding screen was so low to the ground! The murderer then took the gun from Dr. Strange, and…" It was obvious, *bang*
"After that, you and the other lad thought to break into the room…?" Maccadam asked.
"Yes, a gunshot is certainly something you wouldn't expect to hear." J said nodding. "Which is why, upin hearing the shots, we forced our way into the Channeling Chamber." We see Todd Photo 1 as she continues "Miss. Yoshizawa…She immediately covered her own jacket with blood…" Then we see Todd Phot 2 "And pretended to be Jaden Yuki."
Courtney then whips the screen and said "B-But! That sort of deception would have been so easily able to be seen through!"
"Which is precisely why Mr. Xehanort Yuki chased us out." J said smiling.
"Please leave this area to me. Go quickly and inform the police troopers!" Past Xehanort said to J and Todd "Hurry! Before there are more victims here!"
"Wh-What is one supposed to say…?" Maccadam said shaking his head.
"This is the real truth behind this murder." J said with a sigh.
Everyone was in stunned silent but then someone says "…Ha…Ahahahaha…"
"Wh-Who is that?! Laughing at a time like this…?!" Maccadam asked confused. He is then whipped "Ack!"
"Oh you simpleminded fools. I'm sorry, are you still by chance evolving?" Courtney asked grinning she was the one laughing.
"Wh-What is it this time…?" J asked her.
"M-Miss. Wittebane…Surely…" Maccadam said.
"Of course it was me!" Courtney said petting Camerupt. "Do you really thingk someone of Wittebane blood would lose due to something this petty?"
"WHAT IN THE WORLD?!" J asked shocked and sweat dropping.
"Miss. Serial Designation J!" Courtney said firmly "Your arguement is flawed in one very crucial area!"
"And that is...?" J asked her.
"Is this witness is the real murderer…why would she go through all this trouble?" Courtney asked.
"…Huh?" J lets out sweating.
"Working together with a Keyblade Warrior, pretending to be one, putting on this whole act…What reason would she have to do such foolish things?" Courtney explained the reason for the question.
"Eh? Well, that's…Uh…" J said sweating more.
"Yeah, that's right!" Sumire said twirling her glasses "That's exactly what I was going to say!"
"Oh, and one other thing." Courtney added "Why would Miss. Sumire Yoshizawa want to kill Dr. Strange? Where is her motive?"
"Yeah! That's exactly what I wanted to say too!" Sumire added. "Yeah! Motive! I don't have a motive!"
"A…motive…That's…" J said and thinks 'I can't say she has not motive here! I have to think of a motive now! What is her reason for wanting Dr. Strange dead…?' She then said "The reason you wanted Dr. Strange dead is this! Take that!" She said presenting Kasumi Yoshizawa's profile.
"…Hah!" Sumire said seeing the profile. "Just as I thought. You bore me with your silly answers Serial Designation J!"
'Just great. Now even SHE is calling me by my full name…' J thinks sweat dropping
"You think I did this to get revenge for my sister's death?" Sumire asked.
"Yes!" J said nodding. "Because through that accident you suffered a lot of hurt and pain yourself!"
"Don't be stupid!" Sumire said rolling her eyes "No one has proof that Dr. Strange drugged my sister, right? And you want to say I wanted to take revenge based on nothing?"
"Wh-What do you mean by that…?" Maccadam asked.
"Senile, stupid old bots." Suimire said and then goes back to her happy personality saying "I'm, like, going to explain so, like, please listen, okay? It's been over half a year since I was discharged from the hospital. If I, wanted revenge, then I wouldn't have waited that long. Um, and besides, like, the guy that thought of the spirit thing was, Dr. Strange. It was a total coincidence he acked me about it, you know?"
'She…She's back to her polite but slight airhead persona…!' J thinks sweat dropping. She slams her hands down "However, you see…." She was whipped "Eeeeouch!"
"Pathetic, Miss. Serial Designation J." Courtnety said to her opponent. "You failed to support your own theory." She curtsy bows "…The end."
Maccadam bangs his gavel and said "I think we have our answer, Miss. Serial Designation J. What Miss. Yoshizawa has stated is very true. The revenge plan is overly complicated, and she has not motive in the first place. Furthermore, there is no reason for Mr. Xehanort Yuki to cooperate with this plan." He shakes his head "You don't even have any truly decisive pieces of evidence to demonstrate your point."
"Tsk, tsk. So many faults, Miss. Serial Designation J. You should really learn your place." Courtney said smirking.
J at that winces and sweats. She thinks 'Wh-What happened?! I thought I had her for sure…!'
"Hee, hee…See, like, it's just as I, like, told you!" Sumire said with a giggle. J looks at her confused as she then goes back to her more rude personality as she twirls her glasses and said "I hope you liked your slice of humble pie!"
Maccadam bangs his gavel "Very well, I now conclude the cross-examnination of Miss. Sumire Yoshizawa!
"Hold it!" A voice calls out revealed to be from Terra who said firmly "Your Honor. Please, allow the defence one more minute."
"Alright." Maccadam said to that.
"You can't lose here. Have faith in yourself, J!" Terra tells J.
"Terra…" J said to that.
"Yes, it does sound like a ridiculously messed up plan for a murder, but you know, regardless, that girl trained for this crime." Terra said smiling.
"…R-Really?" J asked.
Terra looks at J firmly and said to her "Listen, J. Everything happens for a reason. There is a reason for why she had to kill Dr. Strange. And it is also the reason she had no choice but to kill him in this fashion."
Maccadam bangs his gavel when one minute had passed and said "Time is up, Miss. J. Your final answer, please. If you want to say that you can prove Miss. Yoshizawa had a motive, then…why did she kill the victim in this way? Can you prove the reason?"
'…Can I…Can I really do this…?' J thinks and nods 'I am not totally confident here, but I know that I must press on no matter what…'
"That's right J! Only you can do this now!" Terra said with a nod.
J slams her hands on her bench and tells the court "I will show and substantiate the fact that Miss. Yoshizawa had a motive!"
"Ha, ha, ha. Too bad. You're too late!" Sumire said giggling mockingly. "My cross-examination has already ended, after all." She however is then whipped "Eeek!"
"…Interesting." Courtney said thinking then nods. "I'll let you have your chance, Miss. Serial Designation J."
"Wh-What?! Y-You're supposed to be on my side!" Sumire said in anger clutching her glasses only to whipped again "Aieeeee!"
"A Wittebane only cares about the perfect win." Courtney tells her firmly "As long as you have the will to fight, I will knock you down, Miss. Serial Designation J!" J looks at Courtney silently. She then said to Sumire "And I don't care if you are my witness! So help me, I will throw you out of my way!"
"N-No way…" Sumire said to that.
"Very well." Maccadam said banging his gavel "The court will take a 5-minute recess. We will continue the cross-examination after we reconvene."
"H-Hey! Wait a sec here!" Sumire called out but Maccadam bangs his gavel to start the recess.
J sighs after 5 minutes are up, it will be time for the final round of this trial. She has one shot left so she better make it count.
