Before entering the room, Donatello pulled two gas masks out of his duffle bag & placed them on Bebop & Rocksteady's faces. The masks filled up with a purple smoke that caused both mutants to fall into a deep sleep. Donatello engineered it specifically for them so that once they were down they would be out for at least 72 hours. The hole led down to a lab that Donatello theorized was their main laboratory. Once they reached the bottom, Donatello started to nurse Raphael's wound on his side, while Michelangelo & Leonardo searched the room. As they walked through the room Michelangelo wrapped the wound in his arm as Leonardo commented that he was lucky the blast cauterized the wound. At this point Leonardo realized that Michelangelo wasn't listening to him. As Leonardo followed Michelangelo's gaze he saw that his brother was staring at a large stasis container in the center of the room. As the brothers got closer Leonardo read the label on the container. Specialized Logic Adaptation Serology of Herpetology. Michelangelo laughed & said "Slash" as Leonardo studied the container. Donatello walked over & began to look over the computer attached to the container. As he pushed buttons the containers lights came on. Inside the container was a mutated red-eared slider turtle standing at a height of 7ft 5in weighting 763 lbs. Donatello immediately attached a usb device to the computer & pressed a button on his gauntlet. The gauntlet & the usb both blinked until they lit up green. As Donatello searched through the data Leonardo & Raphael started to survey the room. Both knew that Donatello was lost in his "science" & wasn't going to focus on anything but that. Michelangelo was standing in front of the container tapping on the glass. Luckily he was able to see movement behind him. Michelangelo yelled to the others & pointed to the ceiling as several blinking lights began to appear around them. Donatello immediately stated that they were Foot Tech Ninja. The Foot Tech Ninja were a troupe of the Foot Clan, equipped with special cybernetic suits from Baxter Stockman's workshop. The suits are based on the technology of an Utrom exoskeleton equipped with computer-controlled artificial muscles that increase the speed, strength & reflexes of their wearer. They also have advanced optical systems, including night vision. Their primary attribute is their camouflage function created by utilizing refractive technology which is integrated into the surface of the suit, the wearer can make themself invisible to the ordinary eye, which gives them an advantage in combat. The ninja turtles had developed many ways to defeat & disable the Foot Tech ninjas & honestly weren't concerned. Donatello immediately pulled on a pair of night/heat vision googles with the expectation of seeing their enemies, but to his surprise nothing showed up. Even the usually noticeable footprints were not evident for the turtles to be able to prepare for the upcoming battle. Not to be deterred the turtles immediately feel into their years of training. Leonardo knew there was a chance that they would have to face the Foot's tech ninjas & knew they would need a way to even the playing field. The turtles did not rush into this battle & had actually spent a week making scenarios & plans to battle every known faction of the Foot Clan. For this faction Leonardo suggested that they evened the playing field. Each turtle threw down a smoke bomb while Donatello went back to the computer to find a way to shut off the power. Luckily April was listening in & told him that she had already hacked into the towers systems & was hiding her presence until they needed her. April shut down all power to the building but also told them that a backup generator was going to kick in, in approximately 45 seconds. In total darkness the turtles immediately started to fall back into their training. By the time the generators kicked in the turtles had eliminated 7 out of the 25 Foot ninjas in the lab. As the turtles continued to fight there was a loud roar that echoed throughout the lab. The containment unit in the center began to rock, then it broke & the unit itself was split in half. Standing in the center of the carnage was the giant turtle. The ninjas immediately radioed that Specimen 6 was free of containment & the giant turtle suddenly looked in their direction. Without any preamble or hesitation, the newest mutant turtle attacked the Foot Ninjas. The ninja turtles stood back & watched as the released mutant turtle seemed to instinctually know where each enemy was with ease. The battle lasted only two minutes & within those two minutes no Foot Clan member survived. Leonardo looked over to Michelangelo & asked him what it was that he called the giant turtle when they found him in the tank. Michelangelo gulped & stated that he called him "Slash". "Slash" said Raphael, why the hell would you call him that. Leonardo said "Specialized Logic Adaptation Serology of Herpetology was on the tank". "Good acronym" stated Donatello as he watched the newly dubbed Slash attack the Foot tech ninjas. Not wanting to be his next victim Raphael made sure his sais were at the ready while waiting for Slash to finish his current fight & possibly attack them. Once he was finished the giant turtle turned towards the others. It was at this point that the turtles realized just how much bigger Slash was than them. Being the more social one Michelangelo slowly walked over to Slash hoping to avoid a confrontation. "Hey" was all Michelangelo could think of saying, but luckily Slash was not as afraid as her was. The turtle's voice was harsh & raspy like he never used it before. "Hello" was his response, "I am sorry you witnessed this". Leonardo motioned for everyone to put down their weapons as to not cause any issues. Raphael was hesitant, he knew that together they might beat him & he didn't want to be caught, lacking in the face of a potential enemy. "Why are you attacking them & not us" asked Michelangelo. "For years, I have been experimented on, beaten, stabbed & gassed almost daily simply to be tested. I was treated like a beast, but I learned. I learned how to think, how to talk & I learned who my enemies truly are." "Help us, if we can stop them you can be free" stated Leonardo. But Slash shook his head "I don't know you, I will continue to fight & I will find the one the called Shredder, but we are not allies". "I'm curious" stated Raphael. "If you've always been here, how do you know how to talk"? "I'm not stupid, I may not have learned any facts, but words & feelings are expressed to me every day". With that said Slash went to walk away. "Can we call you Slash" asked Michelangelo. "Slash? Specialized Logic Adaptation Serology of Herpetology" mused the giant turtle. "That will be fine" he said as he walked away. With no more words, Slash began to climb the elevator shaft to the upper levels.
