After leaving the Dean's office, they met up with everyone else at Eva's cottage.
"So, it is now a working trip" sighed Haruna.
"It also means the Dean trusts us," said Yue.
"How do you want to manage this" asked Mana?
"Until we know more, we will separate to cover all our classes' groups," said Harry.
On the morning of the trip, Neji got up early and left before Asuna and Konoka got up to go to the train. When Rose and their group arrived at the train, they saw most of their class was already there. They all split up and went to their assigned groups. With Gabrielle staying with Konoka and Rose, Evangeline, and Chachamaru being their own group.
Once the whole class was onboard, the train left for Kyoto. Along the way, Rose and Konoka started looking around, having felt that something was about to happen. Soon frogs started coming out of every bag, container, and compartment. Konoka reached out and crushed them all.
"What was that" shouted Makie?
"Shizuka-sensei fainted," said Chizuru.
"Ako too," said Yuna.
"Rollcall everyone" said Ayaka.
During the rollcall, Rose saw Negi chase after a bird holding the letter. She closed her eyes and followed him. He sent a wind spell at it only for it to hit a food cart destroying it. Rose sighed as she crushed the bird, and the letter fluttered to the ground that Negi picked up.
"He already failed" whispered Rose.
"Figures" said Evangeline.
The train arrived in Kyoto without any more incidents. After checking into the hotel and dropping their bags in their rooms, the class went to visit some of nearby temples.
Yue gave the background history of the temples while Rose and Konoka had to influence their class away from the booby traps. The walk between the two love stones had pitfalls and someone spiked the waterfalls with sake.
The next incident happened during bathtime. During Konoka's groups' turn they were attacked by little monkeys while they were changing. Konoka crushed them all and they turned into crumpled pieces of paper.
"Shikigami" said Setsuna.
"Their user has to be around here somewhere" she said looking around.
Konoka reached out and felt them running back to the employee section of the hotel.
"I got their location" said Konoka.
"Let's go" she said getting dressed.
Setsuna nodded her head as she finished getting dressed and followed after Konoka.
"Got the enemy's location, heading there now" said Konoka.
"Good luck," said Rose.
Konoka and Setsuna arrived at the employee's section and snuck in. They found it suspicious that there was no one around. Konoka led Setsuna to where their attacker was hiding. Once they found them, it was a woman wearing a monkey suit pushing a cart with little monkeys on it.
"How nice of you to come to me" said Chigusa.
"So, you are after me" said Konoka.
"Get them" ordered Chigusa.
All the little monkeys jumped off the cart to attack them only for Setsuna to cut them to pieces.
"So, you are the Shinmei-Ryu user I heard about" said Chigusa.
"She will not be able to help you" she said smirking.
A large monkey appeared behind Konoka and Setsuna only for Konoka to crush it.
"HOW" yelled Chigusa?
Konoka ripped off the monkey outfit and held Chigusa in the air.
"Why do you think we came by ourselves" said Konoka smiling.
Chigusa growled at them.
"Now let's see what you are really after" said Konoka.
Konoka dove into Chigusa's mind and found out what she was after and who was collaborating with her. Konoka's eyes turned yellow as she started choking Chigusa.
"You seek to claim me to be a toy and battery" growled Konoka.
"I belong to my master, mind, body, and soul" she proclaimed.
She crushed Chigusa's throat and destroyed her body.
In Rose's and Evangeline's room, Rose looked at where Konoka and Setsuna were.
"Crap" said Rose.
"Something set Konoka off" she said.
"I will go take over for Nodoka," said Evangeline.
"Let's go Chachamaru" she said leaving.
Rose disappeared with a pop and appeared where Konoka and Setsuna were changing into Harry.
"What happened" asked Harry?
"They seek to claim me as a toy and battery" said Konoka.
"What" growled Harry.
"I told her I belong to you as I crushed her" said Konoka.
"Good" said Harry.
"Was there anyone else" he asked?
"She has three minions that are not here right now" said Konoka.
"They will be delt will soon enough," said Harry.
"Let's go" he said.
"Yes master" said Konoka.
Harry turned around and left with Konoka and Setsuna following behind him.
The next morning, Konoka woke up in between Harry and Setsuna and saw Nodoka on the other side of Harry.
"Feeling better" asked Harry seeing her awake?
"Yes" said Konoka.
"I'm sorry about last night" she said.
"It's fine," said Harry.
"Everyone loses control sometimes" he said.
"But you didn't completely lose yourself and we will always be here to bring you back" he said.
Setsuna tightens her hold on Konoka at that.
Nodoka looked at the clock and saw the time.
"We need to get ready, or our classmates will start asking questions" said Nodoka.
"Fine" said Konoka.
They all got ready and headed down to breakfast. They all sat down with their friends.
"What set you off" asked Evangeline in Basic?
"They wanted to use me as a toy and battery" said Konoka in Basic her eyes flashing yellow.
They all growled at that.
"That is why they haven't tried any yet here," said Mana in Basic.
"Is there anyone else for us" asked Kaede in Basic?
"She has three minions that didn't help her last night" said Konoka in Basic.
With Harry's help, Konoka sent the information on the three minions to everyone's mind with the Force. They all reviewed the information they were given.
"All the information about this Fate looks fake" said Mana in Basic.
"You think he could be working for someone else" asked Kaede in Basic?
"Yes" said Mana nodding her head.
"Leave Tsukuyomi to me" said Konoka in Basic.
They all nodded their heads at that.
"Given we have no real information on Fate, don't confront him alone" said Rose in Basic.
"Yes" they all said.
During the first free day, everyone kept an eye out, but nothing happened. After dinner, Kazumi said "I have a fun idea for a game."
"A battle to kiss Negi-sensei" she proclaimed.
While most of the class blushed, Konoka and her friends got up and left.
"What overreaction led to this" asked Setsuna?
Rose closed her eyes and reached out to The Force.
"He blew up truck up to save a cat from being run over," said Rose.
"Kazumi confronted him, and the rat convinced her to join them" she said.
"Great" said Haruna sarcastically.
"Where is the circle" asked Evangeline?
Rose closed her eyes and reached out to find it before her eyes opened and widened in surprise.
"It covers the whole hotel," exclaimed Rose.
"They could involve so many innocents and strangers with this," said Mana.
"This is why I never trusted them," said Evangeline.
"Let's destroy it Chachamaru" she said.
"Yes master" said Chachamaru.
Rose led them outside to the edge of the circle.
"Here it is," said Rose.
The circle started glowing before it was destroyed.
"It is done" said Chachamaru.
"Good" said Evangeline.
They returned to their room before Rose contacted everyone else.
"Who wants to mess with them," asked Rose?
"I do" said Konoka.
"I will as well" said Kaede.
"You should go after Kazumi first," said Chao.
"She hacked the security cameras and TVs to broadcast this to our rooms" she explained.
"I will deal with her," said Rose.
Rose found Kazumi and the rat in the basement doing color commentary on the match. She convinced the teachers to investigate the yelling coming from the basement. The door slammed open startling Kazumi.
"You are in big trouble Ms. Asukura," said Nitta.
"How did you find me" exclaimed Kazumi?
"We could hear you from the first floor," said Nitta.
"I thought this place was supposed to be soundproof," said Kazumi glaring at the rat.
Rose saw where the rest of their classmates were and reported them to Konoka and Kaede.
"I will manage Fuka and Fumika" said Kaede.
"I will knock out the rest" said Konoka.
Fuka and Fumika were heading down the hallway when they both froze and jumped back. Kaede landed where they were previously.
"Very good" said Kaede.
"What are you doing here" asked Fumika?
"You said you didn't want to do this" said Fuka.
"I didn't" said Kaede.
"But we already stopped this and the ones behind it are being punished by the teachers" she explained.
"I guess the fun time is over" said Fuka sadly.
"You didn't want to kiss him" asked Kaede?
"No" said Fumika shaking her head.
"We just wanted to have fun tonight" said Fuka.
"Figures" said Kaede smiling.
"I will take you back to your room" she said.
"Thank you, Nee-Chan", said both Fuka and Fumika.
Kaede picked both Fuka and Fumika and disappeared in burst of speed, taking them back to their room.
