The next morning, Cassandra woke up and she slipped on her reaper uniform wearing it under her dress, along with her death scythe. Cassandra opened her to die list looking it over to see if anything changed in it. Her eyes widen a little in shock to see many were scheduled to die tonight past midnight, some mostly children. She quickly slipped the book into her pocket and left her room, telling Undertaker goodbye and left the shop. As soon as she reached the Phantomhive mansion, Cassandra knocked on the door only to be greeted by Soma who beamed at her and crushed Cassandra with a big hug.

"Cassandra! How great it is to see you again!"

"Soma? It's great to see you too! What are you doing here?" Cassandra asked surprised to see him.

"I've came to see Ciel, but he got a bit under the weather. Agni and Sebastian and I have been helping take care of him!"

"Ciel's sick?" Cassandra said concerned but also a little surprised. "That's strange I don't recall Ciel ever being seriously sick before." She murmured quietly to herself.

"Hmm? What was that?" Soma asked. Cassandra looked at him.

"Can you take me to Ciel?" She asked him and Soma smiled and nodded.

"Sure!" Soma took Cassandra inside and led her to Ciel's bedroom and opened the door and the two stepped inside, seeing Sebastian and Agni with Ciel who was lying in bed. Cassandra snickered seeing Sebastian trying to spoon feed some soup to Ciel, who was completely mortified. Ciel's eyes widened when he saw Cassandra by the doorway, smirking. He quickly shoved Sebastian away from him.

"Get away from me!"

"Master?" Sebastian turned his head looking to where Ciel was looking at and saw Cassandra. "Miss Cassandra, how lovely it is to see you again." Sebastian smiled and Cassandra smiled back, stepping over to them.

"That was quite a show." She teased Ciel, who frowned at her.

"What are you doing here?" Ciel demanded.

"I came to see how you were doing. I heard you had another case involving missing children. Soma told me that you were sick."

"I'm fine. I just got a cold." Ciel coughed before he noticed Cassandra stepping closer towards him with a strange look in her eyes. "Why are you looking at me like that?"

"You are Ciel, aren't you?" Cassandra asked, suspiciously, narrowing her eyes.

"O-Of course, I am! Why would you ask such a ridiculous question!?" Ciel sputtered and Sebastian laughed a little, covering his mouth. Soma and Agni both watched in silence wondering. Cassandra stared at Ciel a little longer before she smiled and pulled away.

"Nothing. Just my imagination."

"So, I assume you want to help out on the case, I'm about to head out to finish it."

"Actually, I can't this time. I'm sure you can handle it your own, can't you?" Cassandra told Ciel. Ciel blinked at her in surprise.

"Come to think of it, where have you been all this time? Undertaker didn't know where you went as well."

"I went on holiday for a bit for some time for myself." Cassandra spoke.

"You? On holiday?" Ciel questioned, not sounding convinced.

"I like to have a little relaxation every now and then." Cassandra smiled and left. "Good luck."

Cassandra began humming to herself singing London bridge as she headed towards the meeting spot where she was going to meet with Grell.

"Quick! Someone get help! There's a man over here not moving!"

Man?Cassandra wondered and saw a small crowd in a field of flowers, and she walked closer to get a better look. As she managed to push past the crowd, Cassandra's eyes widened as she saw that it was Grell lying on the ground not moving. Cassandra twitched her eye. She was not great at keeping a low profile that's for sure.

"I got it." Cassandra spoke and she picked Grell up and started to drag her by her arms. She was surprised by how light Grell was to move, but also relieved that it made it much easier.

"Are you sure, Miss?" A man asked. "We've already sent for someone to get help."

"Yeah, yeah! I'm perfectly fine! I work for the Undertaker; he'll be able to take care of the body. If anyone's interested in a modified coffin for themselves stop by sometime!" She smiled, which immediately creeped out the crowd, neither responded. Cassandra quickly moved Grell until they were out of sight, and she turned into an alley and placed Grell back on the ground. Cassandra looked Grell over and she immediately went pale and started to panic a little when she noticed that Grell wasn't breathing.

"Grell, wake up!" Cassandra lightly shook her and tapped Grell's cheek but received no response. Guess there's no other choice...

Cassandra gulped nervously glancing towards Grell's mouth. Mouth to mouth it is then. Cassandra climbed over Grell, hovering over her and she slowly began to lean in closer. Just as their lips were inches from each other, Grell suddenly woke up. Cassandra immediately froze. The two of them screamed, pulling away from each other.

"How dare you assault a woman while she is sleeping!" Grell shouted.

'Me!? You weren't breathing! I didn't know what else to do!" Cassandra shouted back at her.

"You were taking a while, so I decided to take a nap." Grell played with a piece of her hair. "Shinigami don't breathe while they are sleeping."

"Well, how am I supposed to know that!" Cassandra argued. "You certainly picked a worse spot to take a nap! You're lucky I managed to get us out before anyone noticed something suspicious."

"I suppose I shouldn't have slept in the middle of an open field." Grell smiled sheepishly. "Why were you taking a long time though?"

"I went to check on Ciel-" Grell's eyes immediately went wide.

"You went to see Bassy!? Why didn't you invite me!?" She shouted angrily.

"I only said hi to him. But the main reason was that I went was to see Ciel because I heard he was sick, which is unusual." Cassandra told her.

"But I wanted to see Sebas-chan too!" Grell whined.

"I'll let you come next time, I promise." Cassandra replied.

"I'll hold you to it." Grell giggled. Grell took Cassandra to Headquarters and told Grell she'll be back and that she needed to check on something. Grell stood confused wondering what she was up to and started to talk to Ronald as she waited. Cassandra wandered in the hallways looking for the laboratory, following the signs until she found it. Cassandra opened the door and stepped inside the room to find many strange equipment sitting on the table. She didn't know that Shinigami were so technologically advanced! Shouldn't be too hard...

While she was figuring out on how the equipment worked, another Shinigami with short green hair, wearing a white lab coat and round glasses, stepped in carrying three stacked large boxes. He didn't noticed Cassandra in front of him and accidentally bumped into her. The Shinigami fell on his butt, dropping the boxes.

"Ow!"

"Oh!" Cassandra quickly caught one and another one with her foot. The third one fell straight down on her other foot filled with heavy contents. Cassandra yelped in pain. She placed the other two boxes down and bent down, holding her foot. Cassandra looked to the Shinigami, helping him up. "I'm sorry."

"It's fine! As long as nothing's broken-" His eyes widened when he adjusted his glasses, seeing Cassandra better. "Oh, it's you! You're the prodigy that everyone's been talking about!"

"I wouldn't say that." Cassandra blushed. "I'm just a fast learner."

"Or in the genes." the man smirked. Cassandra's eyes widened, immediately going silent.

"You're Jonathan's daughter, aren't you. You look so much like him! You don't mind if a take a sample of your hair for testing, do you? Maybe a bit of blood as well-" Cassandra quickly interrupted him.

"Uh, actually I was hoping you could help me with something! But what is your name?"

"I'm Othello, I'm part of the forensics division."

"Great! You have any medical files on Alan?" Cassandra smiled. Othello blinked at her.

"Yes. But you why do you want them?" He told her.

"I know about his thorns of death-"

"There is no cure for it." Othello told her.

"Yes, I know, but there's got to be something to help ease the pain a little!" She insisted. Othello stared at her for a moment before he left the room suddenly. Cassandra blinked, wondering where he was going before he came back holding file. He handed it to Cassandra opened it, going through Alan's medical records. "Thank you. Do you want to help me with the equipment?"

"You really are his daughter." Othello snickered. Cassandra blinked at him. Othello walked over and started to show Cassandra the lab equipment and how to use them. Back in the lobby, Grell hummed to herself, impatiently tapping her foot. Alan and Eric were sitting on the couch.

"Where is that girl?" Grell growled.

"Maybe she ditched you." Ronald joked. Then the group saw Cassandra running over to them at a very fast pace, holding something in her hands. She nearly bumped into another reaper and quickly spun around them.

"Sorry!" Cassandra came over to Grell, Ronald, Alan and Eric who stood up, walking over. Cassandra panted as she tried to catch her breath.

"Do you want to sit down?" Ronald asked her.

"No. I'm fine!"

"What were you doing?" Grell asked her. Cassandra giggled and looked to Alan and Eric and held out a bottle filled with glowing pink pills.

"What are those?" Alan asked.

"Another Shinigami and I worked on making these! Alan, these should help your illness!" She smiled.

"Are they supposed to be glowing?" Eric said, unsure.

"Miss Cassandra, I thank you for going through the trouble but there is no cure-" Alan spoke and Cassandra stamped on his foot, causing Alan to cry out in pain.

"What are you!?-" Eric shouted and Cassandra quickly slammed a pill into Alan's mouth, making him swallow it. Alan felt his body growing hotter. He also felt the pressure and pain on his chest getting lesser and little more bearable.

"Alan! Spit it out!" Eric shouted.

"Eric. The pain-It's tolerable." Alan said in disbelief. Eric blinked in disbelief and so did Grell and Ronald. Cassandra smiled, shaking the bottle of pills, handing them to Alan.

"I know it's not a cure, but these should help." She told him. "You better take them, too. We went through a lot to make these."

"Thank you." Alan smiled. Cassandra blinked at him, blushing a little.

"It was no problem at all. I just wanted to help." She smiled. Then everyone saw Will coming over to them with a serious look on his face.

"Good. You all are here. This saves me the trouble of find you. There is a large number of souls that are listed to die tonight."

"Yeah. I remember something about that. Will, most of them are children. Ciel told me that he was doing an investigation on them. You don't think..." Cassandra paused. Will fixed his glasses with his death scythe.

"That demon is the cause for their deaths." He spoke and Cassandra's eyes widen. "There is nothing we can do about it now, only collect their souls. Do not let your emotions get the better of you." He turned to Grell. "Grell Sutcliffe, I want you to go to the Phantomhive manor to collect some souls there as well."

Grell's eye widened and so did Cassandra's. "Did someone die there too!?" Cassandra wondered in worry.

"Bassy! Here I come!" Grell laughed and took off. Cassandra started to follow after Grell, but Will stopped her.

"Cassandra, I want you and Ronald to come with me." He told her. Cassandra turned to him.

"You want me to come with you?" She asked a little in surprise and Ronald smiled placing his arm around her shoulders.

"This is great! We get to work together!"

"Come along now." Will told them.
