Objective reward: 20xp, new world package unlocked, bedroom upgrade, bathroom upgrade, deal with the devil unique skill unlocked.
Huh well that's cool
The first thing I notice is that there's a new door right beside the counter, I figure that's probably my bedroom and I decide to go and check it out. Opening the door, I had my hopes up and they were shot to high hell. I said bedroom but its more or less just an extra-long supply closet. The bed is a small matt on the ground, there's a small alarm clock right next to it on a knee-high night stand, there's a small dresser that comes up waste about a long as my fore arm sitting on top of it is a small box style tv with a slot in the front for vhs tapes. All in all, highly depressing. But beside the bed there's another door, opening that door I come to a bathroom a small sink with a toilet beside it and a shower, no bath tub and there's barely any real room. But whatever its good enough for now. I leave the bathroom and the bedroom rather depressed.
"Looks like I'm going to be sleeping on the floor for a good while." It was a rather depression discovery still I opened up the objective reward screen again, to find out about the rest of my rewards.
New world package unlocked spin the wheel for 3 new worlds your shop will connect to!
AHA! I knew spending on luck would be useful, I grabbed the lever on the screen in front of me and pulled it down as it started to spin, I saw a lot of worlds I didn't even recognize I hope I didn't get them I would kill for a loot world like adventure time, the much, one piece, or hell id take Naruto! I need a world with loot to sell.
As the first spin started to wind down my heart sunk, it stopped on my hero academia. While I world I personally love. there was no loot, nothing to grab nothing that people in other worlds would want. Except maybe quirks but I can really buy and sell those.
Sighing to myself I spin the wheel once more bad luck on the first go, I hope to get a better world this time.
As it starts to slow down, I feel like crying it stopped on supernatural a world I would never risk entering due to chuck. In my store I'm stronger than him. In his world I'm an ant to be blown up for messing with his story, how dare I interrupt his torture porn. So, 2 worlds that are relatively useless in saving my soul. I spin again
And after waiting another couple second for it to slow to a stop I finally get a good world, Naruto the world with the most easily manipulated ninja Jesus ever. I also happen to know where a few McGuffins are stashed away and can trade some basic foreknowledge in exchange for having the little fuck go and grab it for me, and depending on where my store shows up, I'm set!
Now all I need is to check out that unique skill

I started laughing with the most stereotypical evil laugh I could summon, until I heard the door ring, staring at me like I had lost my mind was a short chubby woman, and a small boy freckled boy, both with green hair. Despite the fact that they looked like actual humans rather than anime characters. I could tell this was Inko, and Izuku Midoriya. I'm going to be honest I was hoping id be closer to the canon timeline to ensure that Midoriya was alone and I could manipulate him into get some of the bullies at school to sign away their quirks. After all, stretchy eyeballs are useless in a super hero world but in the ninja world it would be invaluable. And if I could get bakugou quirk… oh ho ho it would be glorious.
Still how to go about this. Hmm.
"Welcome to dead mans rest. The multiversal Knick knack shop. Prices are measured by essence but according to my currency conversion chart 750 yen equals 1 essence. Have a look around but be careful, some of this stuff is worth thousands, and if you break it, you bought it." They look at me oddly for a second and then Inko the cherubic woman she is asks sweetly.
"I'm sorry did you say multiversal? What does that mean." She asks, her face is scrunched up wondering if this is either some kind of gimmick, or if I'm actually mad.
"Well, my good lady." I give my sleaziest salesmen's smile with a small chuckled to disarm her "The truth is my shop is rather special. In your universe you have things called quirks that allow you give reality the middle finger." I see her wince looking softly at Izuku, ahh I could really measure his age that well but it appears the visit to the doctor has already gone down. "Where as in other universes they have magic, or any other kind of system that allows them to manipulate the energies of either their bodies or the universe. If you'll follow me." I walk with her slightly behind me. She follows but is still looking at me strangely. Possibly a little darkly…. ah she thinks I'm making fun of Izuku. Weird, I don't care one way of the other if he's quirkless since so am I technically. I lead her over to the skill books.
"Now these books are 20 essence, or 15,000 yen for the beginner version. The only books we have over her are mana, chakra, and ki control as well as some other craftsman skills I could order other skill books, but I decided to keep to a broader audience." Izuku is looking at me with wide eyes but Inko is looking at me incredulously
"And what these books do." She asks.
"Oh, that's actually rather simple they're a magic item, the when you open will prompt your mind to absorb them, if you agree you'll instantly gain the skills without the years of labor it would usually take to gain them." I smile and she still looks at me like I'm some snake oil salesman, the nerve! Snake oil is too damn expensive 600,000 essence for a cure all my ass. "ma'am I can tell you don't believe my words so how about a test, Ill give the mana book to the little one. hell use it and only if it works will you have to pay me." She still looks unsure but I wasn't talking to her anymore anyways I knew how to get Inko to buy every book in this store. Overpriced or not. All I needed was to get Izuku hooked on the though he could have a power too. She knew what I was doing and gave me the stink eye, but after Izuku's begging, she gave in and handed me the equivalent of 100 usd or 20 essences. I handed Izuku the beginner book for mana. And in after he opened the book it exploded into a small fire of embers and the embers went through his nostrils and ears, he clutched his head and groaned Inko turned on me ready to attack but I held my hand up and she was frozen in place.
"Just wait. That's how skill books work they're efficient but rather unpleasant it would take him around 2 years to learn the beginner skills I imagine" bullshit it would take six months according to my appraisal skill on the kid he was a genius when it came to reality manipulation. A fucking monster, but its not like I'm going to tell his mom that otherwise she won't buy my shit!
Still Izuku stood up with a bright smile on his face and summon a ball of mana into his palm. His smile was bright enough to light up my whole store and I could help but feel bad for taking advantage of the poor kid, its not really his fault that his world doesn't see any value in people born without a genetic mutation. I unfreeze Inko and her fist hits my face pretty quicky however thanks to my perks she only hurts her hand, and looks at me the look on her face is sheer embarrassment. She only attacked because she thought I had hurt her son. I only let her attack to make her feel a bit more guilty so shell buy more stuff. She proceeds to bow in a dogaza and profusely apologize, then hug her son and FLOOD MY DAMN FLOOR WITH BOTH OF THEIR TEARS.
"Enough with the water works your going to get the merchandise soggy!" although I didn't have to worry because the tears just started to disappear.
"You sure you don't have a quirk kid? That is a ridiculous amount of water to come out of a small child!" I say teasing him, and he has the decency to blush.
"I can't help it. I'm just happy I have a power of my very own!"
"And I'm happy for ya kid. I just hate cleaning." I said with a chuckle.
"Still unsapected mana isn't that useful I mean yes it can be used for attacking and defending. But you won't get the same attack as fire or wind magic, and the defense will always be less than a good earth barrier." I have no idea if that's true but I need them to buy a few tomes, so far, I've only made 20 essences, and I have no guarantee they'll come back since even unsapected mana is enough to be considered a power, in my hero world.
Inko instantly cottoned on to what I was doing but she honestly didn't seem to care. Id read some fanfics where the Midoriya family was almost broke, but there were also some people who though hiashi Izuku's dead made a lot of money working oversees when you think about how much rare all might memorabilia Izuku has its almost definitely the latter, the things he has are worth thousands of dollars, and Inko barely even blinked at the price of the book. I don't think they're yaoyarozu rich but they must certainly have a good bit. Especially considering a world famous private high school can't be cheap. She walked around for a few minutes checking out the store and pulled out her phone, after a few minutes of taping. She smiled at Izuku "Izuku you can get the rest of the mana control skill book set and 2 more skill book sets, 2 tome sets, and a small treat okay." She said with a sweet smile to the little boy whose been grabbing each and every tome of the shelf trying to decide which one he should get well before she even told him he could. He squealed and ran over to hug his mom and the tomes floated back onto the shelf. Man, auto cleaning for the win. I don't even have to reset the store! In the end he decided the mana control set, martial arts set, and the alchemy book. Inko asked if I had the equipment listed as needed and luckily, I did have the equipment and some starting ingredients, I bought them from misc. for half an essence she spent of 20 essences on them. life is grand when you have a monopoly on magic. Anyways Izuku bought the healing magic tome set, and the spatial magic tome set. He also got a chocolate frog but I didn't count that.
"Alrighty that will be 1,571 essence or a 1,178,250 yen." I said with a wicked smile on my face. Like I said before its magic, if you don't want to pay the price go somewhere else. Oh, wait it doesn't exist in your world. Give me money. For anyone a little confused as to how I can in good conscience take that much money from a housewife well I used my appraisal skill it apparently works on people. And I found out something interesting one of the fan theories on Izuku's father is actually true, no not that he's all for one. he's apparently a rather famous scientist on I island, and has made a lot with a couple of patents. Izuku had to get his brain somewhere.
After Inko paid the money and I converted it into essence Izuku was in the corner of the store by himself trying to process the ridiculous amount of information he just crammed in his head.
Me I couldn't get the smile off my face after all, after replacing the stock I was left with 1,196 essences in my personal bank account not only that

LEVEL UP!
I now have 600,000 dollars in store credit, I can now afford to become a snake oil salesman! Not that I will because like I said 600,000 dollars for a cure all is stupid.
Either way after finishing up the sale I rush back to my bedroom time to see the upgrade. I walk through the door and…it looks exactly the same. The room Is maybe about a foot bigger, I look to the upgrade tab and…. yeah, you have to buy every square foot, and the bedroom upgrade only upgrades the amount of room you still have to buy better furniture, originally the bedroom was 6x6 square, not it's a 6x7 rectangle, the next upgrade is a 6x8. Still at least I knew have space to put a twin bed in. I do just that thankful I wont actually have to sleep on the floor. I check the bathroom. And it's the exact same except the shower is now a shower/bath. That's nice, I guess. I don't take baths. But its nice to have the option, I guess. Still, it cost 2000 essence per upgrade for the bedroom with the final upgrade to make it a 14x14 square space costing 4,000 essence, I now understand that I am not a shop keep for the abyss I am a slave for them this was a sick trick. They never wanted my soul…just my money. I sigh and check the new tab I got the pay to win tab, and it's just what I expected basically I can use essence to buy experience and level up quicker.
"Status" I call out louder than I really need to, to try and work of some of my important rage. I quickly reallocate my points evenly and sigh in annoyance.

Exhaustion
How am I already suffering from exhaustion. Without answers I head back out to the shop Izuku is still in the corner practicing the pocket storage spell. And he's already managed to get it down I feel I should mention you can just absorb a tome ad learn the spells you actually have to read them and try to learn the spells on your own and this little bastard has already made a small pocket dimension to carry his other books…. magical genius bullshit.
"Now I want to tell you two something rather important, I think. You see I not only sell items but I also buy them at a premium if I think I can get a good price for them from another world." Inko looked suspicious of me bringing this up but Izuku looked curious.
"Well what kind of items do you buy." He asks with childlike innocence. I bring out a few of the contracts, and give them to Izuku.
"Well, you see these contracts, they can allow you to buy anything from a person as long as they sign it willingly. What I need more than anything is the only resource your universe has that's unique, quirks!" I say and Inko gasps grabbing the papers out of Izuku's hand.
"Wait so you saying these contracts can allow you to purchase someone's quirk."
"That's exactly what I'm saying, and thanks to you I'm not a risk of losing my soul for not paying rent, so ill offer you guys a deal. For every person who comes in to sell their quirk that mentions you. ill add whatever their quirks are worth to your store credit!" Inko's eyes were wide, she knew that she couldn't afford to buy all the skill books, and tomes Izuku would need to reach the level of a pro hero with his magic. But if she could get some people to come in and sell their quirks just a few even she could get Izuku all the books he needed to put down those stuck-up brats at his elementary school. Inko nodded and handed back the contracts,
"I'll see what I can do." She said simply grabbing Izuku hands and then she left.
